Posted this on my Instagram forever ago, y'know, when I originally drew this back in '21 but I wanted to share this with you all because I'm still hecking proud of it even though it's a redraw of a movie poster I saw

I think altogether it took me like 6 hours to do, and most of that's because I absolutely hate drawing architecture with a burning passion, and this reminded me why.

This was such a powerful scene from the movie, and I loved Luke Evans' portrayal of Bard. He did so good, and I just love all of the Peter Jackson films so much aahhhhhHHHHH

Read Right to Left (Manga Format)

I have returned to watching demon slayer after a year and it came up while I was having a serious late night talk with my big sister. I was talking about the relationship between Michikatsu/Kokushibo and Yoriichi and it turns out we both see each other in Yoriichi's shoes and ourselves in Michikatsu's place. Definitely surprising, but really relieving to know that we both worry too much and we are not so far apart in skill as we believe.

This is technically the first piece of fanart I've ever made for the characters in Demon Slayer, I have made OCs before but I never drew an actual character from the story. For context this is mostly just a fun "what if" scenario with them meeting in the afterlife. I like to think Yoriichi's love would reawaken Michikatsu's humanity.

I wanted Michi to land next to Yoriichi but when I tried the shooting star ide #it did not work 💀 anyways that little wisp reforms into Kokushibo's monstrous form‚ which Yoriichi shreds apart in seconds #for the people looking for my usual submas content‚ I actually had an idea to draw them debating which twin to cosplay a few months back #Ingo said Emmet should be Yoriiichi cause he's the younger one‚ Emmet said Ingo should be Yoriichi cause he's cooler (read: better liked)#This took about 5 hours elapsed time‚ I stopped halfway through the last panel for a 6 hour nap #Also the purple just denotes which sections is close to the demonic parts‚ kinda like lighting but not quite

im gonna start posting fanfic recs btw whenever i find good ones. both here and my (awfully barren) 18+ account. because there are so many good fics out there with so few hits and fewer kudos and sometimes no comments period and it SUCKS because i REALLY LIKE THEM A LOT.. and i hope that by linking them here and yelling at everyone to COMMENT DAMMIT they might actually do it

seriously though any comment means a lot. most people who read a fic don’t even give a kudos. even if the fic wasn’t top tier, if you didn’t dislike it, hand over some kudos!! and if you liked it, comment!!!! even if the comment is one singular heart emoji it will be appreciated. if the comment just says “great fic!” the author will be happy. your comment doesn’t have to be this long winded gushing or analysis.

so many authors quit writing or lose motivation because the comments are few and far in between or just sometimes nonexistent. trust me when i say authors don’t care about how long or cool or smart sounding your comment is i promise!!!

i hope that mmmaybe recommending fics and telling people to comment might help fics i really like get more support maybe. and i, points at you reading this, hope that you will listen!!!at least a little….at least sum kudos….

I don't know the exact time since I wasn't really keeping track #anyways this would've come out quicker if I hadn't put it off for a few days but I really needed to take a break since it got frustrating #the bg and skeleton were already done but I was really stuck on what to do with chuuya and I even scrapped the original pose I had for him #it was too difficult given my current skill set. but I can see how i've improved since my last major piece (aka my own dtiys)#but yeah. also disregard his gloves I literally forgot that and I didn't want to detail his actual hands so. gloves it was. yeah.#for my sake just pretend that he either forgot or just activated corruption suddenly so then he'll rip them off anyways #still drew his hat blowing away amidst the flurry of feathers though #oh also this is 16 chuuya. 22 chuuya's hair PAINS me to draw so I went the gay little ponytail route #design notes include making his coat have fur to reference how he was based off of a bearded vulture #also his wings were very fun to draw. Y'know, I wouldn't mind if they actually start producing visual novels or RPGs as actual Sonic games in-between major Sonic Team releases.

The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog was a pretty solid game, all things considered. For a free April Fools joke it got me laughing through most of it, and I really enjoyed its touching moments, especially during the last act and the whole arc around the Conductor.

I can see them striking some gold handling projects like this with bigger dev teams and actual budgets. The fact they can use smaller games to tell short stories in Sonic's world and make it feel so alive and connected is something I've been craving for a while, and it doesn't even have to be a platformer! Ever since I discovered fangames like Sonic and the Mayhem Master years ago, I wondered if SEGA could take another shot at the RPG genre, or something more story-focused.

And sure, this time it was a visual novel, but it landed pretty close to what I had in mind. This whole experience was well worth my time, and some real cash too if they asked for it. I hope this charming little joke game can open more possibilities for the future of Sonic games.
