Listening to the audiobook of The Terror and while the descriptions of Lady Silence are. So Problematic., the scene where Irving visits her in her igloo, falling all over himself bringing her gifts and trying to communicate with her, is still quite funny. I also forgot that for some time afterwards he is walking around the ship periodically smacking himself on the head with his mitten.
