all reblogs of this fan event’s posts go to funding the operation for web’s deviated septum, and to providing lieb a lifetime’s supply of luckies. if we hit the target, funding the couple’s therapy sessions or a divorce (whichever comes first) is also on the table.
🫵 your reblogs count. don’t let the haters tell you otherwise

With recent election results and everything to come I want to start highlighting people and creatives within minority and the LGBT+ community so that voices are continuing to be seen and heard. Creativity is fighting back and sharing people's voices is as well so I encourage y'all to do the same! Together we can find so many pieces of inspiration and create a community that will foster it.
So this week I want to bring attention to the incredible Jade (she/they), a black femme that brings magic into her community on a regular basis. They're an incredible writer and inspiration. I met jade forever ago in a silly little app that no longer exist and it's been incredible watching her find themselves. I'm sure by now she no longer remembers me but today I share her in hopes the resources they share find the right person. Please check Jade out and look into the incredible safe haven of a community she has crafted over the years especially for black creatives and alt fashion persons.
You can find their Instagram here
And all her links here

I have just created a wikifeet account to get Assad's score up. Brethren... I encourage all of you to join me in this endeavor. 4 1/2 stars is simply not good enough for our boy with the princess feet.

Here we are… another medical road bump per se that demonstrates the need for this vehicle.
Addie is currently having difficulties with her central line ballooning and she needs to see a vascular specialist who is not at the hospital or in the ER.
Insurance denies the medical necessity for Addie to be able to get to the appointment by ambulance and so now we wait to see if her Medicaid will cover the transport which can take days.
Adeline cannot be transported by just any accessible transport vehicle because her medical complexity.
This line is what keeps Adeline alive… so, there once again is the most likely option to have to call 911 and get an ambulance to take her to the ER in hopes of getting a vascular consult who can fix the line instead of replacing it. Going to the ER is a risk in itself on Adeline’s fragile body.
While we wait to find a specialist, there is a risk of the line breaking which would mean an emergency situation, surgery, long hospital stay, and a high risk of infection which could be months in the hospital. Due to Adeline’s visceral nerve pain and complex regional pain syndrome, any surgical procedure sets her body on fire. A fire that cannot easily be extinguished. There are always complications in many of Adeline’s systems that does occur with every medical procedure.
With this van, we could transport Adeline to a vascular specialist before the emergency and risk to her life happens. This is why we need help.
Adelines medical expenses far exceed insurance and Medicaid. So many of her treatments and medications are not covered. Having this van will help Adeline to get to appointments with specialists before an emergency takes place.
We have two more days to purchase this vehicle for Adeline.
Please help by praying, sharing, and if you are able, donating. Thank you, we are forever grateful for your help in giving Adeline this life changing medical need!

Messaging people for the first time is so hard. What am I supposed to say? Like, "You seem really odd and your blog intrigues me. Do you want to have philosophical conversations or perhaps talk about fictional characters?" What! Whatever. I will just follow you back and stare at your blog with my big beautiful brown eyes.

AN OPEN LETTER to THE PRESIDENT & U.S. CONGRESS; STATE GOVERNORS & LEGISLATURES
Implement Ranked-Choice Voting & Election Reforms For Vote Integrity
3 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!
I am writing to urge your immediate action on introducing and passing ranked-choice voting (RCV) and other vital election reforms at both the federal and state levels. As a concerned constituent and advocate for democratic principles, I believe that these reforms are essential to improving our electoral processes and ensuring fair and representative governance.
Ranked-choice voting has proven effective in promoting democratic outcomes by enabling voters to express their preferences more fully and ensuring that elected candidates enjoy broad support from the electorate. RCV mitigates wasted votes, reduces the spoiler effect, and fosters more inclusive and issue-focused campaigns.
In addition to advocating for ranked-choice voting, I strongly support comprehensive election reforms, including campaign finance reform, gerrymandering reform, and initiatives to enhance voter access and participation. These reforms are critical to strengthening our democracy and restoring trust in our electoral system.
The implementation of Ranked-Choice Voting is a crucial step towards enhancing our democratic process. RCV, which allows voters to rank candidates in order of preference, ensures that elected officials have majority support, eliminates the spoiler effect, and encourages positive campaigning. This system is already in use in several U.S. cities and countries like Australia, Ireland, and New Zealand. Alaska recently became the second state to adopt RCV for statewide offices, following Maine's lead. It is time to consider this reform at both federal and state levels to ensure our electoral systems reflect the diversity of our nation and empower all voices. Therefore, I urge you to introduce and support legislation that promotes RCV and other election reforms.
We must recognize that Americans are more than a two-party system. Let's take meaningful steps to ensure our electoral systems reflect the diversity of our nation and empower all voices.
Thank you for considering my perspective and taking decisive action to improve our electoral processes. I stand ready to support your efforts in advancing these important reforms.

Americans, these are things we are NOT saying in 2024:
"Voting blue won't solve anything." Yes it will: if enough of us do it, it will solve a problem called Trump's second term in the White House. We unfortunately live in a two-party system. If you refuse to vote, you're effectively voting for Trump. I shouldn't need to explain this to people, yet here we are.
"It doesn't matter who's president. Both candidates are the same anyway." No, they are REALLY not. Biden was never my first choice, and his shipments of arms to Israel are despicable, but don't try to tell me even for a second that a second Trump term would be the same for the world as a second Biden term.
"But voting blue won't fix [fundamental underlying problem in America]." Voting for Democrats cannot fix every issue, this is true. But by saying this and ONLY this you are discouraging people from voting by making them feel hopeless. Voting is one of many tools in our arsenal, not the only tool, but an important one, and it does matter.
"You shouldn't vote blue, you should do [other thing] instead." See above: you can vote and protest and organize at the same time. It's not either/or. You can do it all. Stop discouraging voters from exercising their rights under the guise of leftism.
"Voting is just legitimizing government power. It makes you part of the system." Literally just shut up. Women and people of color didn't fight for their voting rights to have you say things like this. If you live in America and you can legally vote, then you should fucking vote, and vote blue. There is no neutral option.
"Voting blue just makes you complicit in [this bad policy]." Inaction, and allowing Trump to have a second term, is worse for the entire world than any Democrat policy. Yes, even that one. Voting is not about finding a perfect unproblematic candidate. It is about choosing the lesser of two evils.
"Voting doesn't work because—" STOP IT. STOP DISCOURAGING PEOPLE FROM VOTING.
You know who wants you NOT to vote? Trump supporters, that's who. You should be suspicious of ANYONE who is suggesting that your vote doesn't matter, or that both candidates are the same, or that Biden's policy on XYZ means you shouldn't vote for him. Trump supporters aren't trying to get your vote by saying, "Vote for Trump!" They're trying to get your vote by DISCOURAGING YOU FROM VOTING AT ALL.
I don't like Biden either, but Trump is unequivocally worse. Voting doesn't fix everything, but it is the minimum fucking requirement of living in a democracy. Voting for president has real, tangible, immediate impacts on people's lives, and choosing not to vote is not the rebellion you think it is, it is just relinquishing your voice. So fucking vote. THIS IS A GROUP PROJECT AND DAMN IT WE ARE NOT FAILING BECAUSE OF YOU.

Katniss is such an unreliable narrator. She says "Then something unexpected happens. At least, I don't expect it because I don't think of District 12 as a place that cares about me" girl you deliver strawberries to the Mayor, you hunt and trade for the district, when you fell at Prim being chosen someone caught you, when you went to Prim people parted for you, when you volunteered EVERYONE stopped. Idk how to tell you but I think you're a pillar of the community.
#katniss everdeen#the hunger games trilogy#the hunger games#primrose everdeen#hunger games#batcavescolony reads the hunger games#suzanne collins#'now it seems i have become someone precious' NOW? GIRL BFFR you're their hunter girl#and this isn't negative just bffr girl#your WHOLE DISTRICT did the three finger salute that you yourself says means admiration thanks and goodbye to someone you love and on top is#old a rarely used. your WHOLE DISTRICT decided in that moment that they needed to bring back this sign of respect for YOU#...................................................................#idk why some people are thinking i mean this as negative i don't she is unreliable but its not intentional. like when Peeta heart stoped in#CF she doesn't know what Finnick is doing at first cus she doesn't know off the top of her head what cpr is. she also thinks Peeta after the#reaping is acting for the cameras. he isnt we dind out later his mom basically told him Katniss was gonna win and he would die. obviously#shes not doing it on purpose shes just for lack of better words uneducated? as in she doesn't know everything shes not omnipotent#so when Plutarch (? second games guy) shows her his mokingjay hiden watch shes like *wtf that's weird?* then the people traveling to#district 13 show her the mockingjay cookie and explains it and she then goes on the difference between his watch and their cookie#and why does eveyone act as if district 12 is as bad as the capital? they CANT help Katniss and Prim in the way you want. they cant give#them food. none of them have any! and im not putting iton Katniss but they hid they needed food so they could stay together. it sounds like#some of you are in this our world mentally of what people do after a loved one dies (brings food constantly checks on them etc) district 12#cant do that. they dont have food and they're all suffering. you cant give someone food when you have none to give. then theirs the fact#that peeta DID help. Peeta buring the bread and tossing some to her then taking a beating from his mom is a HUGE thing in the books.#he used his resources to help her like you all said someone should.#district 12 DID (rip) care about Katniss before the hunger games. why do you think she was allowed to hunt? or how her trades were good#these are the little ways 12 can shows Katniss they love her. but again Katniss doesn't see this and YES its because she had ptsd before the#hunger games as well. i swear some of you make it seem like d12 was all living a life of luxury and glaring down at Katniss.#other things that show Katniss is in hight standing with at least her people of d12 is her dad was known enough through d12 for peeta dad to#comment on his singing along with his commenting on her mom. also her mom is a healer in the community. yeah her parents arnt the top but#of d12 but they are/were definitely high staning in the Seam.

Cyberpunk as MORE than the aesthetic.
DIY Ethos: The idea of customizing and controlling your own tech and environment is central.
Minimalism Meets Maximalism: A balance of utilitarian minimalism with aesthetically intense maximalism (think neon lights and complex gadgetry).
Question Everything: Skepticism towards authority and a willingness to question societal norms.
Adaptability: Being flexible and ready to adapt to rapid changes in tech or society.
Skill Stacking: Cyberpunks often learn a range of skills from hacking to physical training to art creation.
Alternative Fashion: A mix of futuristic and retro styles, often borrowing from punk, goth, and other subcultures.
Information Security: A focus on protecting your data and digital footprint.
Sustainability and Resourcefulness: Repurposing, recycling, and being efficient with resources is often a focus.
Remind the world it's more than surface deep.
