perfectionist and dedicated to his art, rafayel would spend hours observing and studying you to catch every single detail of your appearance. it doesn’t matter if some elements such as scars and stretch marks are seen as imperfections — for him, there’s beauty in everything especially when it comes to his dearest muse.

his lover is the most breathtaking artwork the universe has ever created; a beautiful canvas sprinkled with the most head spinning marks. rafayel would be so obsessed with every single mole he would lay his eyes on, determined to find more while his fingers would trace over his muse’s body with a delicate and attentive touch, wanting to grasp the littlest yet most precious details only him would ever discover about his loved one.

rafayel would then incorporate small parts of his lover into his paintings. if his muse’s moles resemble a constellation, be sure to pay attention to the astonishing starry sky he painted.

I wonder what it's like to be loved by a writer. For the fragments of you are immortalized in every piece. To be offered every poem, letter, and tale, With pen and paper; the memory of you will never cease. I wonder what it's like to be loved by an artist. For the image of you will forever be engraved in their mind, They'll have memorized every detail of your features, So they could still make a masterpiece, even if they go blind. Oh, what's it like to be loved by a photographer? For them to cherish every stolen picture they took, To have a memory card dedicated to you, And they'll say, "Photograph or not, you're pretty in every look" And oh, what's it like to be loved by a musician? To be serenaded with your favorite song late at night, A guitar in hand, looking like a fool in love, And to be the muse and subject of every love song they write. I'll ask: what's it like to be loved and to be in love? All my photos, songs, poems, and paints all ask the same question. I know I fall too fast, too deep, too hopelessly. But maybe someone loves me like that with all their devotion.
