There Are 2 Things I Learned That Day

(Context: this takes place before “The Brothers Mess Up)

Trigger warning: Xenophobia and racism

2012 Mikey: Thank you.

2012 Y/N: Never let 'em see that they get to you.

2012 Raph: So... things do get to you?

2012 Y/N: Oh, I mean, not anymore, but I was small and emotionally unbalanced like you once.

2012 Leo: [sarcastic, the brothers, April, and Splinter roll their eyes] Oh har har.

2012 Y/N: No, it's true. [they look at her] I think I was eight or maybe nine, and all I wanted to do was join the Junior Girl Scouts. [A flashback shows a young Y/N in front of a mirror being fitted in a scout's uniform by her mother. Y/N stands straight, trying to look fierce. She tickles her from behind, causing her to flinch and giggle] So, my mom scraped together enough money to buy me a brand new uniform, because by God I was gonna fit in, even if I was the only non-mutant in the troop, the only human. [Young Y/N enters the Junior Girl Scouts where she is greeted by the scouts; a zebra, a hippo, a goat, a woodchuck, and an antelope]

Woodchuck bully: Okay, Y/N.

2012 Y/N: I was gonna be part of a group.

Woodchuck bully: Ready for initiation?

Young Y/N: Yeah! Pretty much born ready. [she comes down the stairs with a confident smile]

2012 Y/N: I was so proud.

[Young Y/N slaps palms with the zebra. The Woodchuck bully snaps her fingers. The lights go off and the Woodchuck bully shines a flashlight on Young Y/N's face. Young Y/N briefly winces at the bright light.]

Woodchuck bully: Okay. Now raise your right paw and deliver the oath.

Young Y/N: [raises her hand with two fingers up] I, Y/N L/N, promise to be kind, loyal, helpful, and trustworthy!

Woodchuck bully: [her smile suddenly fades] Even though you're a human?

Young Y/N: [confused] What? [The Woodchuck bully turns off the flashlight. Then Y/N gets roughly pushed to the floor and is held down by two of the girl Scouts. All of them glare at her.] No, no! What did I do wrong, you guys?! No, please! Tell me! What did I do wrong?! [Woodchuck bully straps a muzzle on Young Y/N] What did I do?! [shakes her head] No!

Woodchuck bully: [chuckles darkly] If you thought we would ever trust a human without a muzzle, you're even dumber than you look! [Young Y/N runs out of the building and goes to the side, terrified. The others laugh cruelly.]

Junior Girl Scout 2: [from inside] Crybaby!

Junior Girl Scout 3: [from inside] Aw, is she gonna cry?

[Young Y/N leans against the wall, panting. She struggles with the muzzle before throwing it away with a grunt. She breaks down in tears and begins to sob quietly, sitting down and rubbing her eyes.]

2012 Y/N: [narrating] I learned two things that day. [the flashback ends and we return the present] One: I was never gonna let anyone see that they got to me.

2012 Leo: And two?

2012 Y/N: If the world's only gonna see a human as shifty, murderous and untrustworthy, there's no point in trying to be anything else.

2012 April: Y/N, you are so much more than that. [2012 April places her hand on Y/N’s arm. Y/N looks at her and pulls back.]

The Shattered title is very temporary, but I needed something.

Anyways, this was very sporadic, but it was very fun!

My Don would be wary of Donnie at first cuz...story reasons, but I think they'd bond over their tech and Al pals

My Leo acts very chill and thus would clash with Leon's more loud moth personality cuz both are prideful. But are also both self sacrificing idiots

My Mikey is also a chaos gremlin like Angelo, so they'd get along. The great food is a bonus in Mikey's book since he can't cook

The April's would def get along, though their is a significant height difference, my gal is tall. My Casey would be terrified of Cass and flee to CJ to shield him, he cannot deal with such high intensity.

Wanted to show how the guys' masks move with their emotions as a tidbit for this au's art style

And we're finally checking back in with April! She's doing.......... fine.

So here's the thing, Mayhem is a bit split on what to do here. He was given the job of confiscating the empyrean from Draxum, so with that in mind he should go back to The Council of Heads with the bottle. Except that Donnie just got kidnapped by Draxum's kids, and it was Mayhem who led them to Donnie and April in the first place. Point is, he feels a bit responsible, and as such Mayhem decides that the right thing to do here is to help April find Donnie.

So he just teleports her to The Hidden City without warning lol. But good news, April is on her way to save Donnie now! Yay!

My entry to #tmnt201210thanniversary I can't believe this series it's 10 years now, I remember when I watched the first episode and get obsessed about it. It's one of my favorites series of all time, It's almost impossible to not fall in love for it. I love this version of the turtles, I just wish we could had a theaters movie or something. I couldn't made all the characters in the day so I make all of the protagonist + Irma cause I LOVE HER SO MUCH!!! Another Knight April doodles ^^ just some expression studies...I kinda like how it turns out! What do you think of April wearing a helmet? Honestly its kinda hard to draw knight helmet *sighs*

I'd like to think that she is one of the member of royal knight chosen by the Queen, and her father is a member of royal scholar and a doctor. April is a quite skillful swordswoman even though the other knights still called her a rookie, and she's hiding her psychic powers (she's still focuses practicing sword skills). April also have a best friend from the village, named Irma, she works in a nearby tavern and she is also a tarot card reader.

A little fact in my fantasy AU, April got a childhood nickname given by her father, marmalade. When she was a kid, she loves marmalade jam a lot, and spending time with her father...picking marmalades and making marmalade jam together.

Renet + April and CJ 2012 Rise Style

At first I just meant to add a Renet in ROTMNT, so she's not the 2012 version. But then I just ended up drawing April and Casey from 2012 cuz I thought it'd be a fun experiment

I have an idea for a story with Renet in Rise, considering there's already time travel, but I don't know if I'll actually pursue it.

For all three designs I tried making them somewhat simpler since Rise tends to have more simplistic designs and limited colors thanks to being 2d animated. Still working on drawing in the Rise style, but it's been fun
