I would mimic absolutely everything my immediate older brother would do as a kid. I’d get his too small shirts, I’d always play as player two, and I’d follow him around and play all sorts of games with him every chance I would get. I was his little shadow all throughout our childhood.

It gets annoying though, to have to entertain your little sibling when you just want to hang out with your friends. As we grew older we formed our own friend groups and got our own interests separate from one another.

I will always look fondly on those days though :)

I can never make up my mind on Mikey’s design. But I just felt like doing something different.

Also I love making Donnie and Leo look like legit twins. Their hair is basically the same, but Donnie’s is one big mess that he never styles lol.

Sorry for not posting a ton lately, I have been................. playing fire emblem three houses.............. busy............ Also I've been feeling a little burned out on art, admitedly. Don't worry, it's very much temporary! Last month was just pretty high tempo for me, expecially with the Cell Talk comic, so I just needed to take a short break from drawing to also play fire emblem but I'm getting back into an art-mood now! I decided to draw humanified turtles as a bit of a warm up basically, I've been wanting to do it for quite some time so it was just a fun little thing for me :]

Anyway, some thoughts about the designs-

A lot of people draw Leo as blonde, and I was fully intending to draw him blonde as well, but then I just wanted to see what he'd look like with brown hair instead and I just.... liked that a bit more, so he's a brunette now. Also he has dimples because of course he has dimples. And Mikey has freckles because OF COURSE he has freckles! And Donnie ALSO has freckles because he's my blorbo and I give all my blorbos freckles cuz they're neat. All of them have pretty small eyebrows except for Donnie because he fills them in with makeup. I thought for a while of how I would translate Leo's facial markings into his human design, and I ended up settling for birthmarks (also some red eyeliner cuz his face needs a bit of red on it)

I change their designs every time I draw them. Leo has changed so much.

Also I literally just gave Leo my hair because I have no shame at this point.

So… funny story, this redraw of my old art last year was supposed to be my tribute piece for TMNT Day back on Tuesday but as usual, life got in the way and it took me a couple of days to get it done. Anyway… HAPPY BELATED TMNT DAY!

i think there's something very interesting about the fact that irl, turtles aren't very social or familial in any sense but the ninja turtles are incredibly social and love caring for others and this is arguably the greatest example of their humanity

So I been recently have this idea thanks to a Fanfic on Ao3.

I can’t take this idea based in this fanfic, “ What if there was more mystic stuff going on like rise?”. Then I start crafting a story, design we’re flighting here, and there. And here we are, with some sort of sinopsis and concept art for it.

So basically, Leonardo was supposed to be a gift to Donatello for his 11 birthday, which also was the year that Venus was born, Raphael is the second oldest with 7 years old, and Michelangelo is the second youngest with 10 year old.

One day, Oroku Saki attack the Hamato palace and destroyed everything causing a massive fire, Shen died protecting her children and Yoshi defeated Saki at the cost of his own health, leaving him in a critical condition for years, having to leaving his children in the care of his former mentor and father figure Hattori Tatsu. Who took them under his wing and turn them into deathly assassin for the clan.

That’s basically the 3 first episodes of the story. Something that I want to make clear is that this are the 2012 turtle based. But Leo might be a combination of the rise in some parts of the story, but I intend to keep him with his 2k12 personality. And that will be all folks, here are some height comparison and I will change their outfit some time after but for now are going to be like that.
