My understanding of t- terms is that they are both a shortening/alt to trans terms, can represent other terms starting with t (ask here), as well as be their own standalone terms (which makes sense, sometimes people feel described by one term, but not another, even if they are for the same definition).

Just wanted to state my ideas behind these terms. I mean for these flags to be inclusive, so if anyone connects to this in a way not really included by the definitions I listed, I think you can use them.

Also, for all these names, I wrote them with a dash but they can be used without the dash, or different capitalisations, different gender-quality orders (e.g. t-neufem can also be called t-femneu), and gender-quality spelling (e.g. spelling t-mavmasc as t-maverinemasculine).

The flag formats are based off of @revenant-coining's tfem & tmasc flags. Which I assume are based off these trans flags, going by the colours. So I took various trans-gender-quality flags, without the white stripe, and mirrored them across the middle. (The removal of the white stripe is just for aesthetic/formatting purposes, not to take away from any meaning.)

on the note of prev, i'm not too keen on tmasc aven hcs cuz they kinda rub me the wrong way?? idk what it is about it but i just inherently don't like them.

now as for amab nb aventurine, i'll gobble that shit up no problem. like something about being beyond gender itself with a body that's masculine and feminine at the same time. mmmm delicious (idk amab nb aven fills me with a lot of gender euphoria)

that being said i think certain characters make so much more sense when looked through the lense of "oh yeah they're trans".

like to me blade and firefly are both trans, wherein both have a complicated relationship with their real self and the body they inhabit/ the monstrosity they seem to hold themselves as. blade shedding his previous life and identity by literally dying is so not cis of him and the ensuing dilemma of hating the body given to him and the immortality that came with it, is just so &#&*$!&!&

firefly when i untangle the mess in my brain over how you're so gender, oh how i will get to you (gotta re read the scene where she speaks to tb at dreams edge). but firefly being a tiny cute girl in a big huge mech is something that is incredibly gender and her whole thing where iirc she's wasting away in the real world, idk man not very cis. god hyv release her from the basement already i need to explode.

I'm back with another hot take this time with a focus on the MOGAI community and flag making. Please note that these are all personal takes and at the end of the day I can not control others actions. I purely do this because I enjoy talking about my views and what I dislike + like within the communities I fall inside. This is not to look down upon creators who do this simply how I find it uncomfortable.

While this is rare, I have noticed that perisex OFAB (observed female at birth) flag creators make transfem flags. This rubs me the wrong way as while the flags themselves are really pretty. I don't think it's really their place to make our flags. This same logic applies to perisex OMAB (observed male at birth) creating transmasc flags. This is more so directed at publicly posting the flags rather than simply creating them for a friend who is that trans label. This also again applies to perisex folks creating intersex flags. To me, it just feels... invasive? I personally want a tfem flag made by a tfem or a tmasc flag by a tmasc. It feels like there is a deeper connection to the identity and the flag.
