I plushified the giant Bloater fella from Ep 5 of The Last of Us...

This might be one of my most favourite plushies I’ve ever made. 

He became so much more adorable than I thought he would

Playing with watercolors again and as The Last of Us is never far from my mind I decided to combine a few elements from TLOU 1 & 2 and make a lil illustration=D

And because I love pain and suffering the crack in the helmet is the crack in Joel's watch...

I am of the firm belief that the infected. Are live. Inside all of the fungi.

Okay. So here’s why I think this,

TW: death. Mentions of gore, body parts. Infection. Overall morbid?

First of all. The fungi, (cordyceps) are described to

“have the goal of the fungus is to thrive and grow, typically humid locations.

fungus will drain the host of all nutrients and then fill the host’s body with spores”

For this reason, I think the people Are conscious and when unprovoked, in control off their body’s. But are in horrible pain, so they don’t move. Which is also why we can hear them crying and groaning while stagnant.

When they do walk, I’d say it’s to find something to eat. The cordyceps, are sucking all nutrients and foods away from them. So the human being attacked by it, is starving, they’re still in control, but their minds are being slowly destroyed replaced by the fungi,it’s like an illness!! It’s their body, the spores are infecting them. (That’s why they’re called infected, rather than zombies)

But when they’re provoked, the uncontrolled urge to attack and kill comes over them. This is from hunger, (mostly from the hunger.) but it’s also from the infection. The spores have taken over the persons mind and it makes them more violent, Impulsive and the spores telling them to spread the spores so they could thrive!

I don’t think they just, live forever. Definitely not, humans rot even if the spores go around the body, which stops the body from decaying as fast, the insides rot. And the spores will grow into the persons insides painfully slow.

As well as the fact. That the person could die quickly. Say if an infected runs off a building. Or gets run over, the person inside would die, but the spores would keep the body moving.

I think bloaters, are definitely not in control their entire body has been incased by the spores, including the insides . I’d say clickers aren’t either, because it grows into their brain. And it’s come out their eyes to grow more. The brain is dead.

I’d say runners definitely are still alive, and stalkers too. Runners are. Slightly intelligent. They know to stay together. And they know it’s more effective to swarm. And stalkers have the ability to know it’s more effective to flank people, so their human brains are still running!!
