Time traveler Leo comes to say hi to his cabin mate/s!!

(Sorry just writing for this one!)

Donnie stared at his cheery cabin mate in blue. It was Leo. He looked different than how he remembered but this was Leo.

Wait no this isn’t his Leo.

His throat felt tight and his words were miles away.

“This is not my Leo this is not my Leo this is not my Leo” he repeated over and over again in his head. Focus on the differences. He stared at the small clocks all over this Leo’s bandana and sash. Hm wonder why those are there..

Clock Leo’s expression changed from cheery to slightly concerned. Donnie wondered why… oh probably because he has no idea what facial expressions he’d been pulling throughout this little fight in his head.

Donnie cleared his throat. Words still felt so far away but he reached for them because he needed to say something.

“Eh- um- Hello there cabin mate!”

April is already charmed by this older Leo. "Oh ho, if only my little brother had manners like you."

I finished this comic about a month ago but couldn't bring myself to post it. It started as a simple illustration and then I just kept adding more and more and at some point I had to stop myself and cut the story short. I'm still not entirely satisfied with the result but... well. I like it. That's enough.

"I'm going to take simple doodle requests" I say, knowing of the cursed cycle I have where I suddenly go incredibly hard on "doodles" for no reason

Love the thought of Leo just casually being well traveled to absurd degrees. Like one day they’re facing their new Big Bad of the year and like, Draxum or whoever says that the key to their fight is located somewhere in, like, Latvia or some place, but no one knows where to start.

Then Leo’s like “oh I know a place” and when asked how the heck he could know of one it smash cuts to Leo falling through the ceiling of said place due to a portal mishap.

Also love the idea of Leo, being as accidentally (and then later, purposefully) well traveled as he is, sometimes taking his family on outings to different places all over, maybe to some new Yokai spots he found along the way.

In these places, Leo 100% lets his bros get scammed by tourist traps.

Being a pjo fan is having the rippling desire to travel to Greece and Rome because of Percy Jackson and Jason Grace respectively.

thought of how renet would work in rise and i came up with lita as a time mistress apprentice and renet's her mentor and then i wanted to draw lita lol

i gave up on the weapon design OTL i don't know what i was doing

some thoughts and rambles about her under cut

the time powers allow her to hop between different times and places, but not within the same place like leo

time welders can't visit the same time and place twice so if they mess up it's a whole headache to not create paradoxes (lot of weird catch-22s) while non time welders think in 3 dimensions, time welder apprentices can think in 4 dimensions (space; leo actually is of the same level as Lita and is basically self taught) and masters can think in 5 dimensions (time; mikey has the potential of this level without thinking in 4D)

Lita has started a very important test to graduate to the next stage in her apprenticeship (she's basically a freshman on her way to sophomore so no where near master yet) but she lost her test instructions that was on one sheet of paper when she stepped into the boys time (cursed with bad luck)

she's a shy anxious bean about mikey's height and suffers from catastrophizing everything around her and if she goes back at any point before finishing her test, it's an auto fail and she would have to restart the whole beginner course which she really doesn't want to do (she's convinced herself that she'll be kicked out of her apprenticeship)

so now she's stuck in the boy's time trying to figure out what her test was and pass without instructions

also lita is the boy's descendent but the running joke is no one knows of who cause time welders scramble their DNA a bit so if they leave their blood somewhere it can't be traced or connected to anyone

A quick idea that came to my mind after watching "La leyenda de los chanekes" 😋

Short context 👹:

For those who don't know the character here, his name is Leo San Juan, protagonist of "Las leyendas" movie saga. He has the ability to see ghosts and along his group they fight Mexican legends as La llorona, la Nahuala, el Charro Negro, etc.

I like these movies a lot. I recommend it 100%
