this is a perfect quangle. it has everything you want a quangle to have. brennan creating insanely fun mashups between worlds (loose baron), alternate reality shenanigans (whatever's happening with gorgug in that elmville), new ships (sklonda x sandra lynn, loose baron x cody), catching up with characters we love (figayda !!!!!), seeing characters we never had a lot of time with (AMANDA MAILLARD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) this is a quangle exemplar. one full season of this please

cody saying he would marry the idea of my chemical romance. does murph even know “it’s not a band it’s an idea”?? was that reference intentional?? probably not but it still drove me insane.

the new time quangle got me thinking so here's Every Emily Axford d20 character ranked by how I think they'd react to Sexy Rat
Fig Faeth: she birthed that thing. it's literally her baby she is 100% sexy rats biggest defender
Sofia Lee: pre TUC Sofie might be a bit grossed out by it but as soon as she meets Kug that'd stop being the case she would absolutely fw a sexy rat
Ylfa Snorgellson: I think Ylfa would relate to Sexy Rat a lot actually, truly a symbol of unconventional beauty for her to idealise
Sundry Sidney: I feel like Sid would like the sexy rat, but she would definitely kill it with fire if asked to
Jet Rocks: Jet's nepo baby self would not be able to appreciate the beauty of sexy rat. At most her and Ruby find it amusing/funny
Sacchirina Frowstwhip: Saccharina does not have the time or the energy to deal with a strangely sexy rat she would dispose of that thing on sight
BONUS
7. Lady Chirp Featherfowl: Not only would she dispose of sexy rat on sight she would have to have a very dramatic show of the trauma from the encounter involving a feinting couch

Fantasy High: Kill Count!
With all the talks about counting kills in Never Stop Blowing Up and a conveniently timed want to rewatch Fantasy High from the beginning, I decided to go ahead and make a spreadsheet compiling all the kills The Bad Kids get over the entirety of the show! !!Spoilers Below the Cut!!
Before I share the link there are a couple of things I want to be clear about my method of counting. -I only counted kills toward whoever got the final blow on whatever enemy -Construct, conjuration, and summoned creature's kills count toward whoever created them (This does not include The Hangman, he is a sentient creature therefore his kills are his own.) -I consider downing/banishing an enemy to be different than killing them so they don't go toward the character's count, although some of them are listed in the spreadsheet -The kills in italics are enemies that are just downed by the character and that is made clear in my notes section for those kills -Thank you to the people who contribute to the D20 Wiki and who contribute to the episode transcripts, your work was lifesaving when I needed to doublecheck things With that said if you're curious about the entire breakdown you can find the link for the spreadsheet here! And here are the total counts: Fig Faeth - 39 Gorgug Thistlespring - 28 Adaine Abernant - 15 Fabian Aramais Seacaster - 26 Kristen Applebees - 21 Riz Gukgak - 25
if I missed any kills, or if you think a death should've been counted in a different way feel free to let me know! Also once the Time Quangle Live Shows come out, if there are any kills in those from The Bad Kids I will update the spreadsheet (and this post) accordingly.

So I, like everyone else, am shaking the bars of my cage trying to understand what the hell 4Dawgz is DOING We've gotten a couple of wild facts for her character this episode and last weeks: 1) absolutely hates Riz SPECIFICALLY for some reason, despite him consistently being the most respectful towards her (he actually tries to say her name proper) 2) she has a lot of anger towards the Bad Kids (and Riz), and 3) she was very casual killing Buddy Dawn, even though that doesn't immediately help her... admittedly, it does threaten the Bad Kids by removing revivify, but homegirl saw Gorgug soloing a purple worm, Adaine being untouchable, Fig smiting as if she's been a paladin for years, and The Ball absolutely rocking this fight, Fabian was there, all while Kristin was being pretty conservative and prioritizing heal spells, so KipKettle has no reason to believe the Bad Kids are in true mortal peril. What does this all mean? Well, idk about you, but Kipper's absolute inexplicable rage, combined with a bunch of other weird minutia, has me pondering the Time Quangle again, and the fact the Bad Kids DID do some minor chronomancy pre-shrimp jump, I think we have more time shenanigans to go... ESPECIALLY since that girlfailure found the rogue teacher at 8:01 am, I agree with some of the theories I've seen suggesting she's stuck in a time loop. I think she hates Riz because he is consistently the one realizing, connecting the dots, and ultimately the driving force that thwarts her in her scheme, forcing her to do another loop. Her complete contempt might look unreasonable, but maybe she's been trying to complete her task for YEARS, stuck in highschool because some random hot goblin kid can't ever mind his own business. I've been sympathetic to the "BLeeM would never have such a blatant BBEG like this, there has to be a twist" crowd, and I think FishFlower RedPan callously murdering her party cleric DOES NOT negate this - as far as she's concerned, he might be the 57th Buddy Dawn she's met, so why would she care when this loop will probably fail again? If this theory is anything substantial, she literally has nothing to lose, because she can just start over again? Anyone would appear irrational and be incapable of seeing an unbiased perspective, so of course she would claim things aren't fair: she's witnessed the same group of clowns dunk on her repeatedly in every iteration. Why bother doing unique adventures that are unpredictable when you can be the RatGrinders and have the same base slate with less chaos to try and enact your grand plan?

Does anyone know which CoC characters Emily and Zac played in the Time Quangle? This thought just occurred to me and the possibilities are killing me.

Last Stand Musing
Spoilers FHJY, as of Episode 15 So, I was thinking about the last stand mechanically. I wasn't trying to but I can't help but think 'that's it?' Don't get me wrong, I'm glad it is, especially with the revelation there will be *no* reviving thanks to Kipperlilly. But I can't help but think that, for a *final battle where everyone is meant to die* the bad kids kinda got off easy. First of all, it was strongly implied that they had to fight off endless waves of monsters, and the only way they could be the ones to *beat* the last stand, was to keep killing until there were no monsters left to spawn, I believe it's an artifice augefort that implies this with a wink. But in the actual fight a new wave was incoming, they were *gonna* have to fight more, but the proctor called it off, because they aced the questions. I *understand* the only reason they aced the monsters was because of this exact crew, tactics chosen, and luck. Fabian blowing over half his resorces to kill a Hyrda *before it can act* was clutch, that shuffle cast was clutch, Gorgug time quangling out all the crits he hadn't been getting in the previous seasons was clutch, ect. But learning that, if you answer all the questions the test *stops spawning*, I can't help but wonder how no one, in the history of Augefort, has managed to clear it before now. Then I thought more about it. About how, part of Arther's point, is that students *Accept* the last stand nature of it, not rebel, taing the premise that they must die on the chin and giving it the best fight they can. Does this imply the other students who have previously taken this test just... ignored the test questions? Maybe only half-assed them, with the goal of going out in a big blaze of glory? Seems a bit unlikely, but maybe so. The bad kids are *powerful* but are also Juniors, surely more *Seniors* take this test than not, would not the seniors on average be of similar or even higher power? Why would this all happen, so that they are the *first?* Then I thought about it even more. This is for people who have no other choice, the *desperate*. The flops, the failures, those who are not succeeding by other means. That's when the cruelty of it all really kicked in, and Augefort's words felt even more hostile. This isn't a challenge where the cream of the crop do thier best and top the charts, this is for the *lowest of the low* to try and do thier best, to salvage a win from nothing. So hard, so cruel, and on top of it all Arther regards those who tried it and failed to just not have 'gotten what he was going for.' What a fuckin' asshole. The deck was stacked in the bad kid's favor as *exceptionally* powerful kids, who are failing as a result of shenanigans, not poor performance. This, the hardest exam and the deadliest the school offers, is only thrust at those who are already behind, what a joke.

My brief report from last night’s Dimension 20 show in London (hidden for spoilers, I truly have no idea if these episodes will end up on dropout)
Okay so, this is directly copy and pasted from the messages I sent my friend during the interval and after the show, so it’s a bit scrambled.
Act 1:
It’s all randomised, they have these bingo spinner things and they pulled from a pool of their previous characters — ended up being 2 from Unsleeping City (which I haven’t seen, but it’s Pete and the rat man), 2 from I think Starstruck? (The captain and Sid) — AND FABIAN AND ADAINE
AND THEN BRENNAN PULLED A RANDOM SETTING AND ITS CROWN OF CANDY. ITS ALL ALTERNATE DIMENSION FUCKERY AND CALROY IS KING AND THEY IMMEDIATELY KILLED HIS ASS
In the first like, 10 minutes? Ally asked Brennan if they could do something impossible — box of doom, Nat 20 only. WHAT DO WE GET? ITS A FUCKIN ALLY BEARDSLEY NAT 20 EVERYBODY. IN REAL LIFE. IT HAPPENED
Highlights from act 2:
Bill Seacaster orgasm (during masturbation he says “yargh” repeatedly)
Gilear reveal, naked and unconscious in the bottom of a pool of sacred lemon yogurt (huge dick canon)
Zac switched characters halfway to LAPIN and I SCREAMED because he’s my FAVOURITE EVER (like, if these episodes do get put up, listen for the screaming YEEEAAAAAAAH the second Lapin is revealed because that’s me)
Lapin and Arthur Aguefort are “roommates” (canon)
Primsy Coldbottle, who is 29 in this Time Quangle, falls in love with Sundry Sidney and goes back with her onto the ship. Also with them is AnUs, the new canon name of Another Use of the Identify Spell, who has also fallen in love with Sid.
Kugrash (rat man) sacrifices himself to unquangle the Time Quangle by eating the pool of lemon yogurt — the one in which Gilear is passed out and “quangled” — and ascends to a higher consciousness in a cosmic bodega
And that is everything that has stuck in my brain!

hi!! (Crown of Candy spoilers in ask)
1. Your art is so cool :000
2. If ACOC had gone differently, who's death would've hit the hardest had there been two deaths that weren't Lapin or Jet?
hello!! thank you so so much!!
this is so fun.... i think ruby dying would've been deeply fucked up for jet but i also think jet would've handled it slightly better than ruby handled jet's death. but im also saying this because a world where siobhan came back as her revenant rococoa back-up would've been CRAZY. like i've theorised about this on twitter before but there's no way she'd tell amethar it was her until she absolutely had to; he's already lost her once he can't lose her again and she's a ghost of her former self. she's not rococoa anymore, not really.
ALSO im imagining ruby dies in place of jet, but i've also rotated a scenario in my head where ruby dies and siobhan comes back as rococoa before calroy's betrayal is revealed..... im imagininga juicy scenario about how she would immediately go to kill calroy, but amethar defends him, his sister's murderer, to his sister, without realising. oh it's so fucked up and fun to me
i also think liam should've died in the cathedral SORRY WHO SAID THAT and this IS because it'd be tragic to have lost the oldest and the youngest in that fight but also because ally playing amanda maillard would've been so fucking incredible. like to have someone else on caramelinda's side at the end there..... oh it would've been so juicy. caramelinda is my favourite character in almost all of d20 i literally would've given anything to see her softer side with amanda. oh my god i need that time quangle episode out NOWWWWWW
i dont think amethar should die ever.... and you'd think i'm being nice for once but in reality i love the twisted double meaning of "the unfallen" title. if the finale had been a PvP at the end, amethar is the last one standing for sure. a world where he's the only one left amongst his loved ones would be so unbelievably fucked up. amethar wants to die; he wanted to in the cathedral; he thinks death is atonement for his mistakes. and i don't think we should let him!!! sorry for loving pain and misery

I've finally caught up with the latest episode of Fantasy High Junior Year! I'm very excited to see what's happening next. Some predictions for next week below:
Since they're going back to Leviathan-- or at least Aelwyn is working there now, I really hope this is the Chungledown Bim episode. Let Fabian conquer his fears!!!!
I actually think there's going to be combat, and I'm wondering if maybe we'll get to see that in the form of them chasing down and finding a corrupted Buddy- perhaps in the Chaos Mountains?
The Chaos Mountains are 100% where the finale is taking place, which makes me think there'll be shenanigans that delay the party's trip there for a bit
Ayda content! That geocache is likely spell-components for Adaine. I wonder if maybe she'll return in the next episode? Or leave another letter for Fig
That voice Fig was talking to in the preview is 100% either Bakur or something else infernal. I think maybe we'll finally get the pay-off for Dawn of Justice
Riz takes a rage token and straight up kills Bobby Dawn. I know this is unlikely but in my heart it's true
The Time Quangle has devastating consequences for the final battle and they must literally race against time to fix it
Porter is revealed to be working against Jace, solidifying him as a good guy
The Thistlespring Tree maybe blooms with horrible rage-flowers?
And one last one- Gilear and Hallariel have kids confirmed?
