The site ArtWisher is full of stolen artwork (and random shit like tiktok screenshots). Don't purchase anything from this site because none of the money is going to the artists.

If you're an artist, even a small one, make sure you're watermarking your stuff. Please try your best to keep the same or similar username across all platforms so people can warn you if they find stuff like this. This also applies to photos and scans of traditional work as I saw that on there too.

As a general rule for all my art I post:

Do NOT repost my art without credit!

Reposting in general (with credit, my watermark visible, and nothing cropped out) is okay, but I’d prefer reblogs if possible!

If you wanted to repost my art on a separate site (Amino, Tiktok, etc.), this is okay! Just make sure that my watermark is visible, and I’m credited in the posts captioned. Ex. “Art is from bettytheteenagewitch on tumblr” or “Link to art here”

If you want to repost my art because you love it and want it on your Tumblr, reblog it instead. This is common sense, I know. Recent events have me more cautious so ignore me.

Using my art as your icon/avatar/profile picture is okay, again, as long as I am credited somewhere in your bio or pinned post. This goes across all sites! :)

Using my art and editing it will depend on the situation!

Editing or “fixing” my art is not okay! I’m posting for fun. I don’t take any art classes or anything, drawing is just a fun hobby! I’m not looking for any constructive criticism. (Unless of course I specifically state that I am!)

i'll also think about a watermark on my stuff, because people posting my stuff on instagram, tumblr, tiktok, x… without telling who made the editings. they don't give credit,.. thats very rude and its pisses me really off. so. the watermark could be right in the face of jenna, so everyone hates it but no one would steal it. awesome. xD just a reminder, if you credit my stuff just with the name aparadisepenguin or ccalittledeath… then i would be proud of it, i would love it. but so.. some of you post my stuff, like they did the editing. just a few hours of my time, that get lost. its disrespectful, its shitty.

I'm so sorry for taking so long to respond to this, but thank you for letting me know! Thankfully the person who uploaded the tiktok didn't remove my watermarks from the panels, so there's still some credit attached to it and I'm cool with letting it be.

In general though, so long as proper credit is included I don't actually mind if my work gets reposted to other social media, because I don't really use any site other than Tumblr.

To me, my art is kind of like a conversation and my way of throwing my thoughts out into the world to see how they resonate with other people. As long as someone else isn't claiming it as their own work and it's possible for other people to find the rest of my stuff if they're interested, I'm just happy to see my stuff connecting with more people (plus most of my stuff is fanart so if someone tries to make money off it, that's for the IP holders to deal with).

So if you or anyone else ever sees more of my art posted on another site, I would very much appreciate the heads up, because I'd like to see the comments/reactions it's gotten!

the reposted bakugou fanart literally says the artist in the top right corner.

the artist's bluesky, which is the exact handle they signed this piece with so it was very easy to find, asks people not to repost without permission. i can‘t imagine that you got permission if you didn‘t even try to find them for yourself.

and this marks the third fucking time someone has reposted my werdo designs without credit or permission and gotten more recognition for it than I do. This makes my blood boil I’m so sick of this. They always use the old stuff too so there’s no watermark or anything. I am going to Kill

and theres a reason I tend to only post my stuff to tumblr and don’t want it reposted on sites like Pinterest and TikTok. I have a target audience. That target audience is queer and neurodivergent people who don’t believe in cringe culture. When people post my shit outside of that target audience I get fucking heckled for it and when i see those comments I feel like crawling into a hole and letting the earth reclaim me.

I caught wind of your little plan to use screenshots of fan posts for 🐟 to make a sympathy play with the public along with that random article about needing security

I'm guessing it's the reason why she started unblocking people on her IG account at the same time hoping for more of the trolling comments on her posts like the ones she left up WAY BACK in her comments section attacking Chris etc and why some Tumblr blogs decided to remove some of their posts so they couldn't be used against them,

Since I've gotten blamed for a lot of things I figured I might be a target

So instead of backing down to the intimidation tactics I decided to make use of their own plan and create an exposé using the like video

I'm sure it's sucked for all of them to not get to dance to the tune of their own fiddle

I have warned you before I'd love the extra attention

I thought to myself if 🐟 wants the attention well then let's let her have it 😀 I'd be happy for the viewing boost along with it

So I went wide on Twitter/IG/Tumblr/Tiktok/Reddit with a mix of the Mama Lisa like video and mixed in my own watermarked content so if people went looking for the account source due to a clickbait article quote to go troll or harass me they'd find a bunch more revealing info on both the accounts and the hashtags

Not to mention the Kyle Marisa content aligning with the sentiments from the selfie and the like video, and the fact she shared my Tiktok to her IG story was genuinely pure luck and timing, so big shout out to her

If they decided to buy clicks due to the chatter they were creating to get her trending exposure then the content would trend along with it giving the boost meaning they'd be helping to pay for distribution of the disabling content themselves

I honestly still think this entire situation is horseshit with his friends dropping content the way they are, it still doesn't track as legitimate to me, I meant what I said when I specified my opinion on this situation previously, but because I can't be certain that it's not real the potential to go down together is there if they wanted to fund it

Ultimately rich white boy can afford to pay others to defend him, some of us still have to go into bat for ourselves given our limited resources but that doesn't mean we don't have useful tools at our disposal, we are a fandom with extensive social media training and Photoshop skills after all

So go ahead, try to blame the fans if you want but the info is out there ready and waiting to be discovered

So in the weirdest way if it is legitimately PR then I doubt Chris would want to help fund his own downfall by buying clicks and whoever's backing her can't do so without disadvantaging both of them, I doubt they'd want to do that to the bigger star given they're still not getting the returns they had in mind, and she now can't take advantage of the link without screwing herself over

@maegor_the_cool on tiktok word-for-word stole your post about queen alysanne and is passing it off as their own in the comments on their most recent video. when i asked them about it, they claimed they didn't know it was yours and they got it from a forum, which doesn't really make it okay that they pretended it was their own words, and now they're claiming you gave them permission but i highly doubt it. just thought i'd let you know.

Oh, lovely! No, this person has never contacted me, I just looked through my entire inbox to make sure. I went and checked out the video and yep they literally took it verbatim. For reference y'all, here is the original post, which you can see I made on 2/28/2023. The TikTok creator got it from this post, which you can see was made on 3/7/2023, over a week after I made my original post. The forum poster is also passing off my content as their own in the comments on that thread. And here are screenshots from the TikTok posted 14 hours ago, since they turned sharing off:

...So I guess this is time to remind everyone that if you repost my stuff without my knowledge and without crediting me, you are doing so without my permission and I do not support it. I've said yes to 100% of the people who've asked me permission, so I don't understand why this seems to be a recurring issue. Also, a 1-minute Google search for this post would have turned up my blog, so it's not like this person couldn't find me because it was too hard. They just didn't check their source before using it. It's a shame, because I checked out the comments and we both 100% agree on the subject matter.

Here's a handy little guide to how to responsibly and respectfully repost my content:

Send me an ask with information about where to find the repost (usually platform + username will do). I'll say yes, but just please ask me so I know it's out there.

Credit me VISIBLY in the post. Please don't hide it somewhere, make it front and center the way an artist does with their watermark. In fact, putting my Tumblr URL in as a watermark is a super easy way to do this!

If you come across my content but you don't know it's me, but you for sure know it's not YOURS, maybe don't pretend it's yours? And maybe spend 1-2 minutes copying and pasting it into Google, which will lead you right to my blog.

If the content has been posted in multiple places, it's still really easy to find the original. Check the dates the posts were made and use the earliest post when crediting. For example, in this instance, the forum post was made a week after mine, which proves mine to be the original. Again, it only takes 1-2 minutes to check this using Google.

I really would prefer for them to delete the video and reupload it with proper credit, especially since it's been up for only 14 hours. There's a link here that explains how you can do this while saving the video so you don't have to re-format everything. I'd also prefer for the forum poster to acknowledge that they stole my content. But this is the Internet, so while I can ask for people to be honest and respectful about my content I unfortunately can't enforce it. :(

Edit: The TikTok creator reached out to me and they've re-uploaded the video with credit, which I appreciate! And they did get consent from the forum poster, just unfortunately that poster had stolen it from me. It's still not great that they didn't check their source, and that they didn't even credit the forum user at first. It's a good practice to copy and paste something into Google to check that you do indeed have the original source before reposting.

The forum user has now added a line to credit me at the top of his post. I'm still pissed at him for trying to get away with passing my words off as his own though. At least the TikTok creator asked the forum user first, but the forum user just stole my words without even asking me. What a man moment, to steal the credit for a woman's ideas 😒

At this point idc if I'm being annoying but any time I see fanart being reposted on tumblr and people don't notice and reblog I send an anon telling them it's against the artist's wishes to repost their work (if that's the case and usually it is the case)(and these reposters never give credit and are such assholes when you tell them to take it down).

And the thing is, so many people don't really notice? Especially if the repost starts gaining notes?

Idk if it's laziness, not caring or something else but it's weird to me that this is so common, I personally almost always notice if op's name is different from the watermark and that sends sirens blasting in my brain to check the blog before interacting.

After doing this so often the whole "I don't support people who disrespects artists by not listening to them when they say don't reblog!" seems extremely performative, it's sad.

I don't want to be that person, but I blame tiktok fully for this, very rarely will you see somebody give credit there and with it's popularity and constant migration of masses online, the bad habits people get on tiktok get transferred to other places (being inappropriate to actors where they can see it, reposting anything without permission, bullying and sexually harassing people to mention a few).

There was finally some progress towards listening to artists, we're back to square one. Sorry for the long rant but I needed to get it off my chest.
