Today on the list of "good stuff that happened": I got to tell my brother about how Percy Jackson in the Son of Neptune is absolutely insane and spends basically the whole book just making the Romans go "?!"

Highlights include exploded water cannons during war games, showing up carrying a goddes and tearing apart furies with a whirlpool, mouthing off to Mars, third-wheeling/babysitting the precious young smoll inexperienced beans that are Frazel, willingly drinking Maybe Poison, and generally breaking a lot of things by Fighting Like a Greek. Continued to explain that the best part about the multiple perspectives in these books is this:

Percy: I'm a loser, lol! I have no idea what I'm doing, also everyone is cooler than me and I'd die for them! Also Annabeth is cute when she's threatening people with a knife.

Annabeth: *while planning 6 steps ahead* Percy is an idiot. Dear gods I love him so much. Such a wonderful idiot.

Literally everyone else: Percy is (one of) the most powerful demigod(s) I've ever heard of, and he gives no shits about any rules anymore. This man is scary and dangerous and I am so glad he's on my side. Annabeth is a terrifying force to behold and I can't keep up with her. I am unsure if them being so in love with each other makes it better or worse. If they ever turn evil, we are so fucked.

Every time I hear the "certified laundry safe" line in the Tickle-Me Wiggly Jingle I get the mental image of Wiggly being tumbled and spun around in a washing machine and it makes me laugh every time.

being tickled is so flustering for so many reasons but the part that gets me the most is someone wanting to tickle me?? the thought of someone actively wanting to make me laugh, wanting to coax it out of me with gentle, deliberate touches. the thought that someone wants to see the effect that their teasing has on me, that they want me to be flustered because they like seeing me that way. the concept of wanting to be so playful with me and also wanting to see me in such a flustered, silly state because they like it is. yeah.

Compiling Metaphor Refantazio humans and their Hieronymus Bosch inspirations

Enemy spoilers up through 7/17 on the in-game calendar

far from complete, since I'm nowhere near done with the game yet, but these are all the funny little guys I've managed to find the inspirations for! I've put the enemy's names and the names of the Bosch paintings in the alt text for each image.

I highly recommend checking out Bosch's paintings, for these guys and the many other fantastical and macabre creatures in his works. it's kind of like a game of I-spy, lol

enemies I was NOT able to find a 1-to-1 inspiration for under the cut. if anyone out there HAS spotted a better match for these ones, feel free to add on!

so I couldn't find a good match for the big terrible baby, unfortunately. best I can say is that Bosch tends to paint a lot of creatures that are just a human head on legs.

same goes for the giant sandworm; I couldn't find anything even remotely similar even after scouring through every Bosch painting (and some sketches!) I could find. it feels inspired by The Garden of Earthly Delights, but I didn't see anything that really resembled this thing.

but again, if anyone knows of a better match for either of these, I'd love to see it!

You know what I need?

A ler with facial hair. Not necessarily long facial hair- maybe just a five o clock shadow. Rough, prickly, insanely ticklish.

I mean think about it, think of all the different spots it would just drive me a lee mad. Of course the neck is a big one! Rubbing your face in your lee’s neck is already guaranteed to have them flustered and giggling, but add facial hair to the mix! And why not throw a few kisses and raspberries in there too? Not to mention, your hands are still free to tickle wherever they please. Give their tummy some attention while you’re at it!

I mean truly the list of spots to susceptible to beard tickles is almost endless… neck, tummy, sides, ribs, thighs, anywhere you can dream of! I just think that should be utilized a bit more often 💜

edit ion know guys. I feel like there could be a Sydney dismissal event for that last one cause im gettin the chills. As Syd can have a big reaction when PC confesses to them about their broken vow, it’s likely that Sydney would react strongly if PC cheats on them with Whitney during PC/Sydneys pregnancy. Whitney might do some cheeky blackmailing like with Kylar. Siding with Whitney leads Sydney to break up with the PC as a result. Just a speculation. So far we have Whitney making Sydney moan during their little fight in the library, being able to impreg/be fucked by Sydney during science class and Sirris prolly be like “thats my boy/girl!!! Grandchildren rahhhhh” in syd’s future pregnancy content, so ima expect something real funky.

So far, I can think of two long-term consequences:

Dismissal event: Sydney feels betrayed.

Sydney may not be able to let go of what happened, leading him to make a stupid long term plan to kidnap the PC. He may end up kidnapping the PC in the adult shop/his house's basement for some kinky bdsm session cause he doesn't want the PC to leave him due to abandonment issues. PC developing yet another stockholm syndrome.

here’s an idea.

you begin our session by revealing your worst spot, but i can’t take advantage of it right away.

instead, i set a timer for 10 minutes. and i spend those 10 minutes learning every other spot that gets you squirming. and once they’re up, i get to begin exploring your worst spot…

i set a timer for 1 minute. i spend it trying different methods on that little death spot of yours. but when it’s over, i have to move on.

i set a timer for 9 minutes. 9 minutes of relief. you’re welcome. i spend this time exploring new spots and methods. but when they’re up, it’s back to your worst.

i set a timer for 1 minute. and, well, you can imagine how i’d spend that minute…

and we repeat. i decrease the amount of time i spend on your non death spots but keep the amount of time i spend on that death spot the same. but it’s only 1 minute. you can handle it.

soon enough. it’ll be a solid 3 minutes of me tickling your second worst spot followed by 1 minute of me tickling your worst.

but hey, it won’t be that bad. your death spot will only ever be tickled for 1 minute at a time.

that is, until we’ve run out of time for all those other spots. and when that happens… well, then i take advantage of everything i’ve learned over the last 65 minutes. and you fucking take it.
