Altonverse: The Suits

Just gonna ramble about some Altonverse lore that I've had established for awhile but hasn't come up in the comics yet

One of the base rules in the Guardian system is that, like the real world, Parks are largely run by the companies that own them. Companies make the decision of what trends to follow, what updates to make, what business models to follow. Rides don't just magically appear; they are market researched, planned, built, bought. Common slang for the people who make these decisions among guardians is "The Suits"

Guardians are pointedly separate entities from Suits, coming into the picture after the Suits have made the big decisions. Guardians have their own distinct needs and desires separate from the big picture of their parks.

It was important for me to make them completely separate entities in the worldbuilding. Imagine if the Guardian of Disneyland had to act as shrewd as Disney the company. If the head guardian of Cedar Point had to hold as much contempt for theming as Cedar Fair.

How horrible the implication would be otherwise; to have your entire being, your personality, your mannerisms, your outlook on life- be malleable and dictated by shareholders and executives.
