not to be insane or anything but it really pisses me off when people say whit killed arei 💀 it is objectively never that serious but everytime i see someone come up with a theory or whatever it just shows such a fundamental misunderstanding of his character and not that I'm a veteran or anything but i just wanted to right some wrongs.
whit is not a killer. he exists in a sphere of kindness and prosperity and nothing else. people only think he's suspicious because we've been dispositioned to think every 'nice' character in danganronpa is secretly evil. whit does not have a facade, he's truly and 100% a good person.
looking back at some of his character defining moments it's so striking that he was one of the only people to give his kindness to the two people who were at the time not very nice people themselves. its striking that he doesn't reveal charles' secret in the first trial until he feels as though charles is comfortable enough for everyone to know and how he does the same thing with david in the second trial because it simply isn't his secret to tell.
he extends kindness to those who probably don't deserve it and actively is willing to put aside his own personal grievances in order to comfort someone when they’re in need. like, it's insane to me that you can look at all of that say "yep 💀 that guys definitely the killer!" HES A GOOD PERSON like literally what more do i have to say.

not my dad not liking moral orel season 3 🤭🤭🤭that's so embarrassing for him (<- he's not wrong for feeling that way but i think it's like 60% because he doesn't like it when art gets weird and that's so so tragic for him)
#i actually think his points make sense this time. which tbqh is not normally how i feel when he criticizes smth i love#basically he was like s3 was a completely different show from the first two seasons#and he didn't like how all over the place and directionless it felt#and honestly yeah ok i can see that#personally i think the choice to broaden the focus to moralton broadly vs mostly just orel is really interesting#and it allows for different facets of their critique of fundie waspisms to extend to situations/characters orel wouldn't really be privy to#(could you imagine 'alone' with orel there? me neither)#and i personally liked them fleshing out the marginal characters. i never found that boring or like a major diversion#again they're like 11 min episodic(ish) things it's hard for them to feel like they drag on y'know#it shows a lot of ambition and i think they pulled it off really well tbh (cancellation aside)#but i will agree that the transition is a little sudden. nature is such a big moment for the series#and for orel's arc specifically but then we spend little time with orel post-nature so the tone shift doesn't#necessarily align with his realization (at least in terms of the canon timeline. ep release order does align)#it's sudden but we jump back to before the shattering. it's disorienting and i think it's kind of cool as hell#a realization like orel's in nature is gonna throw the past into question and color his life and thus the town#(bc let's face it orel is the real mayor of moralton kfhsjs) and while we've been seeing Some of moralton's ugliness#in every episode until now it's shown in full force in and post-nature (release-wise). so when the timeline jumps around#and it all feels twisted and hazy and sickening and it All Comes Back To The Hunting Trip as our point of reference#for when things are happening it makes it feel like the trip Caused this disturbance. it's almost a spatio-temporal THING#like orel IS the center of this universe. my point is it's weird and i like it a lot i think it works#but anyway i think s3 is a natural evolution of s1+2 albeit an accelerated one#and i really wish we'd gotten to see more of what s3 morel was cooking bc it was setting up some really cool stuff imo#like he hated everything w mommy censordoll x clay but it's SUCH a cool place to take their characters. freud would go crazy#moral orel#and i think if they knew where they had to end the season maybe focusing on other characters was a way to keep orel stagnant enough to like#end the finale where they needed him. maybe.#we actually DID finish it yesterday. i rewatched the finale the day before bc i was impatient but yeah 👍#now it's chapter black time >:}

As much as I think Gankutsuou is an amazing Monte Cristo adaptation, I think Villefort couldve been done a lot better. I just finished reading an abridged version of the book today, and it made me really emotional how much that man actually loved his family. Yeah he didnt have the best relationship with his father, but still kept him around and made sure he was cared for when he got paralyzed. It didnt really come to my attention earlier, but at the end of the book, with all the poisoning going on, that poor man went through so much. First his father in law, then his mother in law, one of the most loyal servants, his daughter and then his son and wife.
The way he stayed with Valentine after he thought she passed, and the way he came to Heloïse as "the judge" but still wanted to come back later and give her a life with their son somewhere far away. Because he still loves her. And he knows that, though what she did was horrible, her intentions were coming from a mother wanting a good life for her son, and he respected that. But then she had killed herself when he came back, and killed Edward too. The way Villefort hoped Edward was still alive and how he held him was just so. Augh. been laying here listening to Lucky by Dermot Kennedy on loop for half an hour while thinking about Everything Stays and crying

got a reallllllly specific, projection filled and entirely worldbuilding horseshitted danny phantom fic slowly in the works. included is danny using forearm crutches, sam taking up archery, plasmius getting his face bashed in by said forearm crutches at LEAST twice, pontificating about how chronic illness steals your life in a way death never could, and absolutely ZERO slander of my main bitches jack and maddie fenton my projection of my mommy issues goes ELSEWHERE!!!!
#i have like. several doccuments. none of them coherent.#the basic premise is like. danny's 16 now. running errands for clockwork and generally a little fucking pissed he's a goddamn errand boy#comes back to the whatever you want to call clockwork's fun little time space upside down and inside out funganza#somehow someway the man is absolutely GOOEY just a slop job of a ghost#in his desperation to save danny's life (or maybe his own arrogance at being right) he just kind of throws him through time#thus we have our set up of a time travel fix it!!#ah but!!!!! mr '2 years older and probably maybe the ghost king now' fenton's ectoplasm is way more potent so OOPSIE#his human body is utterly fucked#anyway i think vlad should be face to face with the consequences for his bullshit. that is half the point here#the other half is danny phantom being WAYYYY overpowered and scaring the fuck out of every other ghost around him while danny fenton's like#god i would love to walk up some stairs some day
