Highlights of Glass Onion
1-Daniel Craig’s terrible southern accent
2-Daniel Craig as Benoit Blanc playing Among Us in his bathtub again Angela Lansbury and Stephen Sondheim
3-“it’s so dumb”“It’s so dumb it’s brilliant”“No! It’s just dumb”
4-literally the whole movie is about how dumb Elon Musk is. Also Zuckerberg. And whoever the fuck the other billionaire is. But also definitely Elon Musk.
4-Benoit Blanc is so clearly gay in such a casual way I love it
5-Janelle Monáe
6-The very clear messaging of ‘you will never take down a person like this through the legal ways so just beat the shit out of them until something gives’
7- everyone is clearly having the time of their lives making this movie

If I had another wenclair multichapter fic coming in the next few days because I have zero chill and even though I said I was going to NOT DO THIS because I need to work on my original stories, that is my summer project and the worms in my brain won't let me go...
Be honest please, I am LITERALLY NOT OFFENDED, I know I write a lot - I just don't know when to stop. I know some of you have been suffering just because you like my writing even though it's long 🥹
I wanted to write something that would be short, quick updates but the prologue is already out of control and I don't know what to do with this now since THERE WASN'T A PLAN.
Ya'll pick my fate for me this time, I can move things around as there is no outline yet we're just writing from the heart here.

i think when it comes to the F+C finale it's important to see where the writers were coming from. And it's easy to do that, the lesson/moral they gave simon is fairly clear: Simon needs to appreciate his life because Betty sacrificed so much to get him here. alright, cool, that's good on paper.
I do Also think that the execution was poor.
up until this point, the crown has represented/could be viewed as many things. Alzheimer's, substance abuse, and anything else people have called it. In this series, a newer interpretation has arose: Suicide. And I'm certain the writers were aware of this. Depression and suicidal ideation are such strong themes in this series that they can't NOT be purposeful.
So their attempt at teaching Simon to appreciate Betty's sacrifice can ALSO be read as: Simon, the suicidal, on the verge of a relapse-man, gets put into a body of a child, (and that is very powerful imagery that does not help, actually) and is told nearly expressly that he fucked up in his relationship with the love of his life. He is told he should have sacrificed more for betty. And he says to himself: "Maybe i wouldn't have even found the crown". Basically it's simon pinning the blame on himself for his 1000 year curse on his mistakes with Betty. Which of course can be read as Simon's self loathing but the show does nothing to refute his statement, which i also have issue with. Simon putting on the crown was stated to be a Mistake. it was an accident. No matter what, the crown cursing him Was Not His Fault. Ever. It's not Betty's fault, it's not Simon's, it. was. a. Mistake.
regardless on if they should or should not have introduced these new flaws into simon's character, having simon learn his mistakes like This feels. icky. to me.

I have a hc that when Klaus is sober, he's got really shitty hearing because of the constant noise the ghosts make around him. Like he always can hear little whispers or sometimes screams when he's sober so he has trouble hearing things in the real world.
I feel that would make so much sense because the whole reason he falls to substance abuse is because it gives him peace and quiet in a way he just can't have with all the dead folk following him.
I also think that the writers just forgot that Klaus has to live with dead people trying to get his attention ALL THE TIME because after the scene where he gets his Marigold back, shouldn't he be bombarded with all the townspeople that his siblings just murdered?
I would've loved to see more of his character growth because he went from being the loser lookout to being able to make his dead brother corporeal to being able to let his body be possessed by said brother to being able to come back from the dead and travel through dimensions to losing everything he worked so hard to achieve and having to live in fear to whatever the fuck happened in s4 😭
I mean don't even get me started on how unless they made him after he got his powers back, he literally did nothing in the final fight scene and his whole plot with the void was completely forgotten?

I don’t know if you’ve answered this question before, but do you think that movie Gwen will possibly have the same trajectory as comic Gwen?
I don’t think so, but I’ve seen some people in the fanbase talk about it so I’d like to hear your perspective.
(Takes a deep breath) BOY IF I HAVE THOUGHTS ABOUT IT.
Look guys, I read Spider-Gwen comics, I am even reading the current run of it (I know there is only 2 issues, but DAMN I HAVE THOUGHTS.)
Ehem, yeah, movie blog, let's continue with the movie.
Pals- There is no way to fit her comics in the movies, is not feasible.
Want to know how Gwen debuted in her original one shot, to present her character for the spider-verse?
Her dad is telling Gwen that she needs to go to college, Gwen insist that she loves music (You guys have NO idea how much work has been to keep that band together, Gwen doesn't just quit.) Spidey shenanigans, Gwen needs to show her dad that she is spider-woman, and...her dad accepts her, and then she goes away, where Spider-UK finds her, wanting her to fight for the rest of the multi-verse.
Heck, fun fact; the discourse at the end of the movie, about "this badge is my badge?" That's from this first chapter.
And this isn't even getting in how Harry straight up not being here, and Gwen being so nonchalant about leaving the band- means that multiple story lines from the comics would seem out of place, if not impossible in movies.
Some people try to bring up Earth-8, that shows that apparently, Miles and Gwen are destined to be together.
...Had any of you learned, that in that same storyline Gwen says she feels pressured by destiny, and isn't really into it. And then the next time in the Spider-Gwen comics, Gwen admits that she wants to find her own path, and deviates from the Earth-8 canon, meaning she is finding her own story away from Earth-8 and Miles?
I know all of you like the concept of an earth where ghostflower is happy together, but that storyline in the comics is NOT about that.
The other possibility is the newest run of Ghost-Spider comics, where Gwen is now living in the same universe as Miles, and there are indicators of them being close.
... (Sigh) Look, is too early in the run to say what the hell is going on there; Gwen being in the same universe as Miles is not bad; but Gwen is a teen right now, so I would rather not end in that situation right now?
No I am not just saying that because I am having a bad feeling about this new run, is more than that.
So speaking as a comic fan: Please let's leave the two things separately because there is a track record of failure when either medium tries to imitate the other.
