Who is God?

Quran, verse 2:255, vividly defines God as a deity (a worshipable being). There is no God worthy of worship except Allah, the One and only Creator of what we see and what we cannot see, what we know and what we do not know. Established upon His Mighty Throne (Arshil Azim). He is the owner of the Al-Lawh al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet) where it is written whatever He has asked His Pen to write upon it. He is ever-living and gives life and death to others, self-sustaining and gives sustenance to His creations. He is neither born nor gives birth to anyone, He creates whatever He wills by His Hands or just by saying “Be”. He neither dozes off nor sleeps nor eats or drinks. He is the Supreme Judge who doesn’t need any intercession to judge on the Day of Judgement, but His Mercy will allow only the selected ones to intercede whose knowledge is known to Him only. His Kursi (The Chair) extends over the Heavens and the earth and fatigue never touches Him. He is the sustainer and maintainer of His creation without any flaw. There is no one above Him, The High & The Great. [ Verse 2:255 elaborated]

List of duaas

1. Ya Allah grant me the companionship of Prophet sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam, his family and the Sahaba's in Jannathul Firdous al 'áala.

2. Ya Allah make me and my family from amongst the sabiqoon you mention of in Surah Al Waqi'ah. Let the light of our imaan emanate from our chest and from our right hand side.

3. Ya rabb, make me of those who are patient and obedient to You and to my parents.

4. Ya Allah make me of the few You love, You Pardon and You shade on a Day when there is no shade but from Your Majestic Arsh.

5. Oh my Lord, increase me in Yakeen and Tawakkul in you. Let there be no doubt in my belief in Your Oneness, Your Majesty and Power.

6. Ya Rahman, shower your Mercy upon me and save me from disgrace on the Day of Reckoning.

7. Ya Allah Al Wali - The Protecting Friend, protect us from hearts that are not humble, tongues that are not wise, and eyes that have forgotten how to cry.

8. Ya Allah, increase me in Sadaqa-e- Jariya. May the legacy of my good deeds be never-ending.

9. Ya Rabb, perfect my Deen and my Worship. Save me from Faahisha and let me complete half of my Deen with someone whose heart is attached to you.

10. Ya Allah accept my good deeds and increase me in reward and Your Mercy. Wipe away my sins and pardon me completely.

11. Ya Allah, when I die, let my soul and my record of Deeds be with the Illiyeen. Grant me and my loved ones shade under your throne when there will be no shade but yours.

12. Ya Allah grant me, my parents, and family guidance, steadfastness and increase us in Imaan and taqwa. Keep me and my loved ones away from major and minor sins and from everything that earns your displeasure.

13. Ya Razaq increase me in my love for You and Your Prophet sallallähu 'alayhi wa sallam.

14. Ya Jabbar forgive me and my loved ones and increase us in Your Blessings and Provisions.

15. Ya Khaliq lead me to more opportunities to do good and seeking Your Pleasure. Help me expand my knowledge with sincerity and ikhlas.

16. Ya Wahhaab, Purify my intentions for Your Sake alone and let me not show off or take false pride. Save me from arrogance, pride, showing off and reminding of favors.

17. Oh my Creator and Sustainer, do not leave me alone. Bless me with a righteous spouse and children who will be the coolness of our eyes. Fill our hearts with a pure love that is pleasing to you. Bless us with spouses who will guide us towards your pleasure and with whom we will spend an eternity in Jannatul firdous al'aala.

18. Oh my Lord, make me of those who are patient and obedient to You and to my parents.

19. Ya Latfeef, save me from the Fitnah of Dajjal. And save me from becoming a fitna for others

20. Ya Ghafoor, save me and my loved ones from the punishment of the grave and the punishment of the Hell Fire.

Place your hand on your heart and say” Ya Allah, the Lord of mankind, remove the harm and heal my heart ya Allah. You are the Healer.. there is no healing except Your healing, a healing that leaves no illness behind”

And say” There is no god but Allah, the Great, the Forbearing. There is no god but Allah, the Lord of the magnificent throne .Ya Allah, I am Your servant, the son of Your servant, the son of Your maidservant, my forelock is in Your hand, Your command over me is forever executed, and Your decree over me is just. I ask You by every name belonging to You which You have named Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur’an the life of my heart and the light of my chest, and a departure for my sorrow and a release for my anxiety”

الرسول ﷺ كان بيقول " الله الله ربي لا أشرك به شياء " دا علاج الكرب

أما علاج الهم فا الرسول ﷺ قال ينبغي لمن يسمع هذا الدعاء أن يتعلمَه " اللهم إني عبدُك ، وابنُ عبدِك وابنُ أمتِك ، ناصيتي بيدِك ، ماضٍ فيّ حكمُك ، عدلٌ فيّ قضاؤُك ، أسألُك بكلِّ اسمٍ هو لك ، سميتَ به نفسَك ، أو علمته أحدًا من خلقِك ، أو استأثرت به في علمِ الغيبِ عندك أن تجعلَ القرآنَ ربيعَ قلبي ، ونورَ صدري ، وجلاءَ حزني ، وذهابَ همي وغمي "

I will pray Allah for you to relieve your heart and lifte your worry. and try to distract yourself from overthinking your worries cuz Allah will protect you , you are His servant ! And Allah loves you.

And dont forget to read Quran. I swear i can tell it has something magical that heals the heart and soul. Its Allah words thought.

#DUA List for the First 10 Days of Dhul-Hijjah

a) Dua for the best of both worlds

Rabbana atinafee addunya hasanatan wafee al-akhiratihasanatan waqina AAathaba annar.

Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

{Surat Al Baqarah 2 : Ayaah 201}

b) Dua during Distress (Keeping in mind as humans we are never “totally” free from distress,thus making this dua constantly is very beneficial.)

La ilaha il-lallah Al-`Alimul-Halim. La-ilaha illallah Rabul- Arsh-al-Azim, La ilaha-il-lallah Rabus-Samawati Rab-ul-Ard; wa Rab-ul-Arsh Al- Karim.

None has the right to be worshipped but Allah the incomparably great, the compassionate. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah the rub of the mighty throne. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah the rub of the heavens, the rub of the earth, and the rubb of the honorable throne.{Sahih Al Bukhari}

c) Dua for Spouse and Children

Rabbanahab lana min azwajina wathurriyyatinaqurrata aAAyunin wajAAalna lilmuttaqeena imama

Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous.

{Surat Al Furqan 25: Ayaah 74}

d) Dua for Forgiveness and a Beautiful End

Rabbana faghfirlana thunoobana wakaffir AAannasayyi-atina watawaffana maAAa al-abrar

Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and remit from us our evil deeds, and make us die in the state of righteousness along with Al-Abrar (those who are obedient to Allah and follow strictly His Orders).

{Surat Ali Imran 3: Ayaah 193}

e) Dua for Protection against Debt, Oppression, Sadness.

Allahumma Inni A’udhu Bika Minal-Hammi Wal-Hazani Wal-Ajzi Wal-Kasali Wal-Bukhli Wa Dala’id=Dain Wa Qahrir-Rijal

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from sadness, grief, helplessness, laziness, being stingy, overwhelming debt, and the overpowering of men. {Tirmidhi}

f) Dua for Guidance & Protection against harm

Allahumm-aghfir li, warhamni, wa-hdini, wa ‘afini, warzuqni

O Allah! Forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, guard me against harm and provide me with sustenance and salvation

{Sahih Muslim}

g) Dua for Guidance towards the best of Manners

Inna salati wa nusuki wa mahyaya wa mamati lillahi rabbil-alamin, la sharika lahu, wa bidhalika umirtu wa ana min al-muslimin. Allahummahdini liahsanil-amali wa ahsanil-akhlaqi la yahdi li ahsaniha illa anta wa qini sayy’al-a’mali wa sayy’al-ahaqi la yaqi sayy’aha illa ant.

Indeed my salah (prayer), my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of all that exists. He has no partner. And of this I have been commanded, and I am one of the Muslims. O Allah, guide me to the best of deeds and the best of manners, for none can guide to the best of them but You. And protect me from bad deeds and bad manners, for none can protect against them but You.

h) Dua for Safety and Wellbeing

Allahumma inni as’alukal-huda wat- tuqa wal-’afafa wal-ghina

O Allah! I ask you for your guidance, piety, safety and wellbeing and contentment and sufficieny.

{Sahih Muslim}

i) Dua for Protection Against Hellfiire

Rabbanaisrif AAanna AAathaba jahannama inna AAathabahakana gharama Innaha saat mustaqarran wamuqama

Our Lord! Avert from us the torment of Hell. Verily! Its torment is ever an inseparable, permanent punishment. Evil indeed it (Hell) is as an abode and as a place to dwell.

{Surat Al Furqan 25: Ayaat 65-66}

j) Dua for confessing your Sins – Dua of Yunus aleyhi salaam.

If you know what verse follows this verse you will never stop making this dua! SubhanAllah. May Allah answer our prayers as He responded to the call of our beloved Prophet Yunus aleyhi salaam.

La ilaha illa anta subhanaka inneekuntu mina aththalimeen

[none has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allah)], Glorified (and Exalted) are You [above all that (evil) they associate with You]. Truly, I have been of the wrong-doers.

{Surat Al Anbya 21: Ayaah 87}

FOLLOWING VERSE -

Fastajabna lahu wanajjaynahumina alghammi wakathalika nunjee almu/mineen

So We responded to him and saved him from the distress. And thus do We save the believers.

{Surat Al Anbya 21: Ayaah 88}

May Allah make us from the believers whom He saves!! Ameen

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Shall I not tell you of something that, if any worldly calamity or disaster befalls any man among you and he says these words, he will be relieved of it. (It is) the du’aa’ of Dhu’l-Noon: “Laa ilaaha illa anta subhaanaka inni kuntu min al-zaalimeen (none has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allaah), Glorified (and Exalted) be You [above all that (evil) they associate with You]! Truly, I have been of the wrongdoers).” According to another report: “No Muslim man says this du’aa’ concerning anything but Allaah will answer his prayer.”

{Saheeh al-Jaami’ al-Sagheer wa Ziyaadatuhu, 2065}

k) Dua for protection against an oppressor or when you are feeling totally helpless – Dua of Nuh aleyhi salaam

Rabbahu annee maghloobun fantasir

Indeed, I am overpowered, so help(me).

{Surat Al Qamar 54: Ayaah 10}

l) Dua for the best disposal of your Affairs – Dua of Ibrahim aleyhi salaam

HasbunaAllahu waniAAma alwakeel

Sufficient for us is Allah , and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs.

{Surat Ali Imran 3: Ayaah 173}

m) Dua for Job Security + Marriage – Musa aleyhi salaam.

One of my favourite Duaas. This dua ensured Musa aleyhi salaam got a job security for 8-10 years and got him married.

Rabbiinnee lima anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqeer

My Lord, indeed I am, for whatever good You would send down to me, in need.

{Surah Al Qasas 28: Ayaah 24}

n) Dua for seeking Allah’s Mercy

Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum! Bi rahmatika astagheeth!

O Living, O Self-Sustaining Sustainer! In Your Mercy do I seek relief

o) Dua for entrusting your affairs with Allah – Dua of Yaqoob aleyhi salaam

Innama ashkoo baththee wahuzneeila Allahi

I only complain of my suffering and my grief to Allah

{Surah Yusuf 12: Ayaah 86}

Waofawwidu amree ila Allahi inna Allahabaseerun bilAAibad

And I entrust my affair to Allah . Indeed, Allah is Seeing of [His] servants. {Surah Ghafir 40:Ayaah 44}

p) Dua for Protection Against Hellfire, Grave & Dajjal

Allahumma inni a’udhu bika min ‘adhabi jahannam, wa min ‘adhabil-qabr, wa min fitnatil-mahya wal-mamat, wa min sharri fitnatil-masihid-dajjal.

“O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the torment of Hell, from the torment of the grave, from the trials of life and death, and from the mischief of Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal (Antichrist).”

{Sahih Muslim}

q) Dua for acceptance of dua!

Rabbana wtaqabbal duAAa

Our Lord, and accept my supplication.

{Surat Ibrahim 14: Ayaah 40}

La ilaha ilaAllah al-‘Adheem al-Haleem, la ilaha ilaAllah Rabb al-Arsh al-‘adheem, la ilaha ilaAllah Rabb as-Samawat wa Rabb al-Ard wa Rabb al-Arsh al-Kareem

There is no god but Allah, the All-Powerful, the Forbearing; there is no god but Allah, Lord of the mighty Throne; there is no god but Allah, Lord of heaven, Lord of earth, and Lord of the noble Throne.

May Allah accept our worship and our Adiyah. May Allah make us from those whose necks were freed from the hellfire. May Allah forgive us of our sins and bestow His Utmost Mercy upon us. May Allah free our captives in honor and send his Salam upon their hearts during this time. May Allah aid the oppressed Muslimeen everywhere and grant victory to those on the frontlines. May Allah grant this Ummah a victory tahg cools the hearts and eyes آمين

“I ask Allah, the Most Merciful, Lord of the Great Throne to take care of (protect) you in this world and the Hereafter, and to make you blessed wherever you be, and to make you amongst those who are grateful when provided, those who are patient when tested and those who repent when they fall into sin - for, these are the three signs of happiness.”

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏"‏ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ، وَأَقَامَ الصَّلاَةَ، وَصَامَ رَمَضَانَ، كَانَ حَقًّا عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ يُدْخِلَهُ الْجَنَّةَ هَاجَرَ، فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، أَوْ جَلَسَ فِي أَرْضِهِ الَّتِي وُلِدَ فِيهَا ‏"‏‏.‏ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَفَلاَ نُنَبِّئُ النَّاسَ بِذَلِكَ‏.‏ قَالَ ‏"‏ إِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مِائَةَ دَرَجَةٍ أَعَدَّهَا اللَّهُ لِلْمُجَاهِدِينَ فِي سَبِيلِهِ، كُلُّ دَرَجَتَيْنِ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا كَمَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ، فَإِذَا سَأَلْتُمُ اللَّهَ فَسَلُوهُ الْفِرْدَوْسَ، فَإِنَّهُ أَوْسَطُ الْجَنَّةِ وَأَعْلَى الْجَنَّةِ، وَفَوْقَهُ عَرْشُ الرَّحْمَنِ، وَمِنْهُ تَفَجَّرُ أَنْهَارُ الْجَنَّةِ ‏"‏‏.‏ صحيح البخاري حديث ٧٤٢٣

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Whoever believes in Allah and His Apostle offers prayers perfectly and fasts (the month of) Ramadan then it is incumbent upon Allah to admit him into Paradise, whether he emigrates for Allah's cause or stays in the land where he was born." They (the companions of the Prophet) said, "O Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him)! Should we not inform the people of that?" He said, "There are one-hundred degrees in Paradise which Allah has prepared for those who carry on Jihad in His Cause. The distance between every two degrees is like the distance between the sky and the Earth, so if you ask Allah for anything, ask Him for the Firdaus, for it is the last part of Paradise and the highest part of Paradise, and at its top there is the Throne of Beneficent, and from it gush forth the rivers of Paradise." وأهل الفردوس الأعلى هم السابقون المبادرون إلى فعل الخيرات كما أمروا ، قال الله تعالى :

( وَالسَّابِقُونَ السَّابِقُونَ * أُولَئِكَ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ * فِي جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ ) الواقعة/10 – 12

قال السعدي :

" والمقربون هم خواص الخلق " انتهى تفسير السعدي" (ص 83

قال ابن كثير : من سابق في هذه الدنيا وسبق إلى الخير ، كان في الآخرة من السابقين إلى الكرامة ، فإن الجزاء من جنس العمل ، وكما تدين تدان " انتهى . تفسير ابن كثير" (7 / 517

ثانيا : ليعلم أن من أعظم أسباب حصول المطلوب ، والنجاة من المرهوب : الدعاء ، فإن الدعاء هو العبادة ، كما صح عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ، وكما أنه عبادة محبوبة لله ، فهو سبب في حصول المطلوب ، ومن أراده الله به خيرا ، وفقه لأسبابه ، ويسر له العمل الذي يؤهله لذلك ؛ كما قال تعالى : ( فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَى وَاتَّقَى * وَصَدَّقَ بِالْحُسْنَى * فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْيُسْرَى * وَأَمَّا مَنْ بَخِلَ وَاسْتَغْنَى * وَكَذَّبَ بِالْحُسْنَى * فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْعُسْرَى ) سورة الليل /5-10 .

قال الحافظ : يَدُلُّ هَذَا عَلَى أَنَّ الْفِرْدَوْسَ فَوْقَ جَمِيعِ الْجِنَانِ , وَلِذَا قَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - تَعْلِيمًا لِلْأُمَّةِ وَتَعْظِيمًا لِلْهِمَّةِ - : ( فَإِذَا سَأَلْتُمْ اللَّهَ فَاسْأَلُوهُ الْفِرْدَوْسَ ) " انتهى .

ثالثا :

اعلم ـ يا عبد الله ـ أن نيل الدرجات في الدنيا والآخرة ، ليس بالأماني ولا الأحلام ، وإنما هو بسلوك أسباب ذلك ، ولولا ذلك ما كان فرق بين الصادق والكاذب ، وهذا من حكمة الله تعالى في تكليفه لعباده ، وأمرهم بما أمرهم به .

قال الله تعالى : ( لَيْسَ بِأَمَانِيِّكُمْ وَلَا أَمَانِيِّ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ مَنْ يَعْمَلْ سُوءًا يُجْزَ بِهِ وَلَا يَجِدْ لَهُ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيرًا * وَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِنَ الصَّالِحَاتِ مِنْ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَأُولَئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ نَقِيرًا ) سورة النساء /123-124.

قال الشيخ ابن سعدي رحمه الله : أي:  لَيْسَ  الأمر والنجاة والتزكية  بِأَمَانِيِّكُمْ وَلا أَمَانِيِّ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ  والأماني : أحاديث النفس المجردة عن العمل ، المقترن بها دعوى مجردة ، لو عورضت بمثلها لكانت من جنسها . وهذا عامّ في كل أمر ، فكيف بأمر الإيمان والسعادة الأبدية ؛ ... فالأعمال تصدق الدعوى أو تكذبها " . The people of al-Firdaws al-A‘la are the ones who hasten to do good as they are commanded. Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning): “And those foremost ((in Islamic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islam,) will be foremost (in Paradise). These will be those nearest to Allah. In the Gardens of delight (Paradise)” [al-Waaqi‘ah 56:10-12].

Tell me oh Yusuf, what did you feel

When that old dream of yours was finally real

You’ve gone through so much, all on your own

The son of Prophets, cut off from home

You loved your brothers and were still betrayed

Sold as a slave without an escape

But it was not all for naught, Allah had a plan

With patience and wisdom, you became a man

You tamed your desires when it was not easy to do

Yet they threw you in prison and left you accused

You spent years with royalty and then years alone

Then came a dream by the king of the throne

Allah gave you a gift, a purpose to fulfill

Decreed long before you were thrown in the well

You made sense of things that no one else could

You heard the King’s dream and you understood

Famine would come, Egypt would have to prepare

Every little detail was in Allah’s care

You rescued Egypt, the King offered his thanks

Soon after, you received both freedom and rank

You observed patience and after all these years

Wrongs were made right and your name was clear

You became a minister, the story was not over yet

In came the brothers who deemed you a threat

For the drought did not impact Egypt alone

Need for grains brought your brothers from home

You knew them at once, for how could you forget?

But they knew you not and had no regret

Coming together, all according to plan

The climax of the story finally began

The moment arrived, the truth was made clear

Yusuf was not dead, Yusuf was here

They had to admit their wrongs at last

Unearthing all that they thought had passed

How beautiful were you, and how pure a heart

To forgive for the sake of a brand new start

Welcoming them to Egypt with safety and peace

Reunited with Yaqoub, whose prayers did not cease

You once had a dream, before all the scars

You dreamed of the sun and moon and stars

Prostrating to you, and now it was real

So tell me oh Yusuf, how did it feel?

To know the promise of Allah was true
