Thrifty finds upcycled! The skates were from a shrunk, bleached out shirt with holes. Knew I wanted to do something with the skates. So I picked it up and it has sat in my bin.

I always pick up a variety of jean jackets and vests for upcycling projects when I thrift as well.

I am no where near done with this vest, but it’s a good start!

unfortunately the very INSTANT you learn anything about draping and sewing you figure out a much bigger percentage of how good a garment looks is down to the molecular structure of the actual textile that you were lead to assume. no you can't substitute some kind of $5 plastic shit for $30/yd silk jersey. you cretin. you peasant
