Part 4 project bin

Thrifty finds upcycled! The skates were from a shrunk, bleached out shirt with holes. Knew I wanted to do something with the skates. So I picked it up and it has sat in my bin.

I always pick up a variety of jean jackets and vests for upcycling projects when I thrift as well.

I am no where near done with this vest, but it’s a good start!

Thank goodness I have no particular interest in knitting, crocheting, weaving, etc., and am therefore immune to yarn. I'm already plagued enough by the urge to Acquire Fabric, and I can't imagine how much worse it must be for people who both sew and do yarn stuff, and are therefore tempted by both!

6 AF bottoms!

From left to right:

antka's quilted skirt + some yuxi boots. I wanted to find more textures to use but here was the idea: some brands of rice had cool designs on them. I had read somewhere about people turning them into skirts. This has some @serabiet tights also.

2. @megamassikalove's mesh that adds heels to @microscotch's GP10 WorkPants's - and then it's got a hippiesh, paisley-ish print.

3. Cute rose pattern recolor of @deedee-sims's mesh that puts sneakers on skittlessims's conversion of SP10's ShortsLowRipped.

4. Subtle stripe and spectator shoe recolor on @deedee-sims gender flip on these pants.

5. oshima's mesh that puts boots on CatOfEvilGenius's French Farmer skirt, I've recolored it before, but I had one more recolor idea.

I’ve decided that I’m going to be obnoxiously femme during our president’s club trip to Nice and Monte Carlo. First, because I know I’ll be one of very few women invited and I’m looking forward to all the folks assuming that B was invited and I’m his arm candy (and getting to correct them) (sue me, I’m petty) but second because I need a place to wear all the cute shit I’ve been thrifting.

So today I pulled everything to take stock and so far I have fancy dresses for the company awards dinner and gala and some sets/dresses for daytime events:

And, of course, shoes/accessories:

Still working on finding some swimsuits and some additional shoes, but with a little over a month left I think I’m in good shape!

unfortunately the very INSTANT you learn anything about draping and sewing you figure out a much bigger percentage of how good a garment looks is down to the molecular structure of the actual textile that you were lead to assume. no you can't substitute some kind of $5 plastic shit for $30/yd silk jersey. you cretin. you peasant

I didn't need to make another recolor of this sweater set by @executables-sims as I've already done so many. But, I was watching some Golden Girls, and this particular color combo Rose was wearing was not something I'd ever put together myself, so I had to add just one more.

2. I'd meant to do more rc's of this jacket that @platinumaspiration converted. But then I didn't have any better ideas.

3. Speaking of things inspired by the Golden Girls! Dorothy was always wearing structural tops with muted colors. Old Skell mesh.

4. This is just an older ef conversion of mine that I liked. With one recolor idea only.
