This one was really hard, actually. I cheated with both versions a little—on the left, the lines are a darker green than the palette has, and the lines on the right are a very dark purple. I like both versions but I could have held back a bit with the shading, it doesn't exactly make sense in most spots XD

like the previous two posts i made about some realizations during the songs [the sister (heh) posts: waiting on a miracle & surface pressure & sister angst], this might have already been pointed out by other people in the past and it's probably really obvious anyway, but i might as well bring it up again because god i love this movie

something a friend and i noticed is mirabel looking at isabela longingly and was reaching out to her in waiting on a miracle

she retracts it then, of course, but...in the end, in what else can i do...

here, mirabel's able to understand a little more

and because of that, she's able to reach out to her oldest sister

she's able to do that and so much more

and with mirabel reaching out, isabela reaches back too :')

appearance description :: sharkie is a cheerful little guy who loves to play dress up and make-believe. ou is almost always in his pirate gear with ous sword at hand ready to fend off other pirates who seek to take ous treasure. gillie has molded hair similar to a lego figure in the shape of a shark’s fin. this hair is made of gummy candy and smells sweet when standing nearby. don’t try to take a bite out of it, though: jaws will cry and scream and hit you with its wooden sword until you stop trying to eat it. it has a darker skin tone and white eyelashes, earning gill the nickname “prettyboy” among its friends when playing pirate.

personality description :: mako is an absolute goofball who hates taking things too seriously. cleor is non-verbal, so glub can’t exactly speak in anything other than ooo sounds — but this doesn’t stop glub from goofing around, having fun, and dragging everyone else into glubs games of pretend. it is relentlessly optimistic, rarely (if ever!) having a negative thought, and always down to play make-believe. sure, mako can be a little bit airheaded at times and hopelessly naive (what do you mean gummy sharks don’t come from the sea?? next you’re gonna say that gummy bears don’t live in forests!!) but that’s to be expected from a child his age. blahaj is constantly energetic and loves to play with other children his age irregardless of how old the body is. plus, he can speak when in front!! speak he does — blub either speaks in only “ouu”s or is a gosh darn motormouth when driving the bus. mako can and WILL infodump everything he knows about sharks onto the people he meets. everybody loves sharks!!

likes :: SHARKS. everything about sharks!! he loves jake and the neverland pirates, captain hook and mr. smee, sea shanties (even if he can’t really… yknow… sing the words). he also loves ice cream and gummy candies! turns out that cookies need to eat the components of what they’re made out of to keep existing and sharkie has a monster of a sweet tooth. tropical fruits are just as good. coconuts, mangos, and pineapple are way more fun to bite into. also the ocean, the beach, pool floaties, playgrounds, the song “mr blue sky”, the pirates: an adventure with scientists, pirates of the caribbean, and splashing around in the water.

dislikes :: humid weather (makes him melty), cold weather, snow days, wintertime in general, being stuck inside, having to act like an adult, having to sit still (he needs to MOVE, gosh dang it!!), adults who’ve lost their sense of wonder, people who call pirates “bad people”, people who think sharks are scary or evil creatures (they’re not!! they’re just misunderstood!!), movies that demonize sharks [jaws, the meg, the shallows, bait, open water, 47 meters down], scary movies, and overly serious pirate movies or shows

i've been trying to practice drawing humans so i can...actually draw humans! enjoy some sketch sheets until i get around to more rendered art or whatever i draw next

(still cant draw faces/eyes quite right (getting the shapes and sizes of the eyes right evades me HORRIBLY) (also face proportions as a whole are lost on me lol) but i mean. better than before i suppose??)

Do you use more warm or cold colors? i think i'm definitely more drawn towards warm colours! i like warmth and softness. autumny colours are my favourite.

a lot of times if a scene asks for colder stuff, i draw things normally and then dump overlays over it with hues of blue until it feels right kxjbn

i haven't written anything since the last wip game i did, but i started trying to put diana's timeline together at the start of january, so i mean... i'll show that instead. as you can see, fatigue hasn't let me do much with it even though i've got all of her timeline already done and strewn about all over the place.

started with 1995 onwards cause it was originally going to be an ewskers timeline situation, but then wanted to include all of her backstory so i went back to the start and still have the late 80s and early 90s to get through before then, but yeah :]

it's going to include like all little moments i've thought of between the ewskers just for me and placing them on the timeline, so you can imagine how long this is going to get if i have to go to 2021 for village... like just 1996-1998 is going to be so much... she's very special to me if you couldn't tell already lmaoo

never sharing this though, it's just for me, and like will help for when i do her timeline page (more in-depth version of what's on her oc page) to just run through canon events and brief descriptions and whatnot. you understand.

everything is blurred out besides 1995 ewskers momence and the years, just cause like idk her i feel weird sharing her in-depth backstory unless it's in dms or something, just cause there's lots going on there and yeah. things. idk

i also made a carrd for twt if you wanna have a look at that :] there's some cheeky subtle things with the two resi items i used as pics hehe

actually, you know what, i'll give a lil bit from where i left of with that rewrite anyways, even though it's been months since i wrote it. but why not

But all he did was gently pull it from her shoulders. She watched him from out of the corner of her eye as he hung it up on the rack by the door, his movements careful and almost calculated, until he turned back towards her, and the warmth of his body returned once more. He pressed up against her side this time, as opposed to her back, and one of his hands found a home on her waist. The way the arm it belonged to was resting firmly against her as he began leading her towards the kitchen was comforting, secure, yet unmistakably possessive. And she revelled in it. He had quite the knack for handling her just the way she wanted.
