#thoughts on Cisco in season 6

as someone who watched and loved season 1 of flash, and someone who watched tolerated all the way up to season 5 and half of season 6, i decided to sit down and watch the flash finale. and boy do i have thoughts.
most of them are what the fuck is going on.
i watched all of once upon a time, so i’ve been burned by shows losing steam and obsessing over the main ship instead of the interesting plot before. when i saw the signs in the flash, i pulled back. i didn’t wanna go through it again. honestly i should’ve before i did, but i have a crippling crush on grant gustin.
1) khione
i like dc comics, but it spans infinitely and there are lots of things i don’t know, so correct me if i’m wrong. but i did a little research and it doesn’t seem to me that khione was a character in the comics. so (if danielle panabaker was staying on the show) why not just let her be caitlin? have they just decided against the character they have been writing since season one? khiones plot of understanding her powers, of of coming to terms with who/what she was all could have easily transferred to caitlin. it got her well when they first began to integrate killer frost into her story! they could have continued, once frost died, by having caitlin regain some of frost’s powers. while having her mourn her sister, she adapts to having powers again and how to be herself with them and not frost. an echo of the plot that she was already going through when the writers decided to just jeckyll/hyde her. it would have worked incredibly well! plus, it would give caitlin a fulfilling end to the question she’s been asking since season one: who is she on her own? in season one, it was without ronnie, in season two she was battling discovering these powers, and by season three she was battling becoming the super villain she knew her doppelgänger was. making her another new character with the same plot that caitlin, then frost had just defeats caitlin’s purpose. when the original core characters of your show keep leaving (cisco, joe, any version of wells) why kill of another just to replace her with such a similar character played by the same actress?? it truly baffles me.
2) the time wraiths
i’m sure i’m not the first one to say this, but why introduce the time wraiths if you want to have barry keep time traveling to and fro. “but they’re creatures of the speed force, so obviously wouldn’t attack the avatar!” okay fine. NORA IS NOT THE AVATAR. WHY DOES SHE NEVER FACE CONSEQUENCES FOR HER TIME TRAVELS. SHE HELD HERSELF. AS A BABY. THAT SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED.
i may be biased bc i don’t like nora.
3) bart
i know he wasn’t really mentioned much in the finale, but i wanted to understand things i’d missed/forgot so i looked into him for this. why did they make bart a part of the show. i understand he’s a big character in the comics, but if they wanted to have another child for barry and iris be introduced, why not use the tornado twins? why use his grandson and just change it? any create nora at all?? (again i’m probably just biased against nora, but still)
it just doesn’t make any sense to me to take an established character and change their lore just bc you like it better than using the established characters, since that conflicts with your original characters. JUST FOLLOW THE SOURCE MATERIAL ITS NOT THAT HARD.
4) eddie
bringing back eddie thawne, when his sacrifice already didn’t achieve its purpose, completely cheapens the finale of season one. especially by making him an uncle villain who wants to destroy the timeline because his fiancée (who he knew was destined to be with barry in the future) denied him because she already had a husband and family.
eddie didn’t like barry in season one. he rightly thought that he was into iris and came in between the two of them. but he tried to be his friend because he was friends with joe and he loved iris. he was a good guy and he wanted good for the people in his life. he loved iris, and if it truly made her happier to be with barry than him, he would have stepped to the side, the finale completely changes his character for the wills of the plot, making him hate barry for “stealing his life” when he sacrificed himself so iris could continue to live her life happily.
5) iris’ labor
for two and a half of the four episodes of the finale, iris is in labor. and because they’re being attacked by the negative speed force, everyone rallies together to fight, and she is left alone in the hospital in labor.
WHY DID NO ONE CALL JOE???
i get he has jenna to look after or whatever, but that’s his daughter, she’s in labor, the father of the baby he also calls his son, and yeah it’s weird, but we don’t talk about that. his daughter is in labor, all alone, worried about wether or not barry will survive, and no one thinks that he would be helpful to the situation at all. so fucking stupid. i understand if maybe the actor didn’t want to come back for it, but he was already in the finale episodes anyway!! he was a major point in the first episode, and he was there when she finally had the baby in the end!! why couldn’t he just be there for a little bit longer??
6) cisco
okay, carlos valdez has said that he had scheduling conflicts, and that it was heartbreaking for him not to be able to return for the finale. i understand that. i am not at all criticizing that.
they couldn’t even name drop cisco? be like, ciscos picking up the cake at the party scene? have caitlin be in the phone with him instead of her mother at the end? they were best friends, you’re saying when she came back from the dead she didn’t even call him? or say i called cisco, he has blah blah blah going on so he can’t come help buuuut he gave us this vital piece of information!!
come one people. throw us a bone.
7) chester
i did get to chester in the original series, but it was like right as i was losing interest in it, so i didn’t care to research him at all, but i did for this! why did they make him diet cisco?? internet he comics, because he has a vortex inside of him, chester is fat. why was he played by a skinny guy? why did they not utilize his character to its full extent instead of just being a replacement once they found out carlos was leaving the show??
okay that’s all i have, i wanted to complain bc it made me angry. i liked the flash originally, i think it had a lot of good potential, but like so many shows, it was dredged on too long, got convoluted, the writing prowess diminished instead of flourishing, and it ended after too many seasons. sorry to the flash, you could’ve been so good.

💖 What do you like most about your own writing?
I think maybe the dialogue. I have a lot of fun writing it, and it's also really fun to reread, especially if I nailed a character's voice well.
📥 What is your fave fic to receive comments/messages on?
I don't really get comments frequently enough to know, but I know the fics I get most excited for getting kudos on are always the least popular ones. It's always nice getting them on any of my fics, but there's always that extra jolt of excitement when a title that hasn't gotten a lot of attention suddenly pops up in an AO3 email. Also, anything that has a fun twist in it. Even if it's super obvious, I like to hear when a reader picked up on what was going on, or if they saw it coming from the start.
🖊 Post a snippet from a current WIP.
Dante’s eyebrows sprung up in disbelief, and this time it was genuine. “Terry got mono?” he said, his voice wavering with barely suppressed laughter. “How did that happen?”
“He got it from my lab partner, which is why I’m paired with Cisco now,” Kamilla said impatiently. “Can you just tell me where he is please? I lost my notes and I really need him to lend me his.”
Dante tilted his head thoughtfully. “Well, I don’t know where he is right now,” he said. “But if I had to guess, probably the library or the room where they have metal shop. He should have a free period right now, and he’s usually either got his nose buried in a textbook or he’s working on building something nerdy.”
She could hear what he was trying to do, and if she weren’t in a hurry, and if he weren’t Cisco’s dead brother, she might have told him off for it.
-from a somewhat cracky fic where Kamilla and Cisco get stuck in 2006, in an unfamiliar timeline where both their high schools are merged into one
🧠 What’s an idea you have that you can’t quite call a WIP yet?
A Flash season 6/early season 7 rewrite where Cisco didn't take the metahuman cure at the end of season 5, but instead had it forced on him by the collectors when they thought he was the one who killed Cynthia. He gets his name cleared like two minutes afterwards, but it's already too late, and the cure is irreversible, so They Done Fucked Up Big Time. And life without his powers is even more difficult this time around because it wasn't something that he chose. It gets even more frustrating after Crisis, because now Cynthia is alive, and Echo and the collectors agency don't even exist on Earth Prime, so why the hell does he still not have his powers when the event that caused them to be removed has been erased from history? (I already know the answer, but he won't figure it out until later.) He does end up getting them back, and he is able to open a breach into the Mirrorverse to rescue Kamilla, there's just a whole lot of stress and bullshit he has to deal with first.

GIV'US THE LIST!!! Genuinely curious about your heinous taste in men
OKAY ANON?1??1?1
I'm gonna try to go in somewhat chronological order. Some are fictional, some are non fictional, it should make sense :)
This is a LONG FUCKING POST BTW
My first crush ever......drum roll......
(gonna be using gifs so i don't hit a photo limit)
1) Mike Nesmith!!! (The Monkees)
He's one of my earliest memories, I had to be around three years old. First crush started off strong. The first episode I ever saw was fairytale, and it was absolutely AMAZING because this beautiful princess was also a beautiful MAN??? It was like hitting the jackpot! I loved his Texan accent SOOO much but had somehow convinced myself that it was embarrassing so I didn't tell anyone?? At 3 years old. But now I'm living my truth👍🏻
2) Michael Jackson (all eras)
I'm almost positive he was my first hyperfixaction when I was around 5. I listened to his music EVERY DAY and SHAMELESSLY wore a sparkly glove despite it being a sensory nightmare. When my mom had told me he died it was like my entire world ended, and I had gained a new catchphrase whenever my parents introduced me to something new, "Are they dead?"
3) Christopher Reeve's Superman (and Lois)
I don't particularly remember how old I was, but it was around the same time methinks. Absolutely melted every time he smiled. And was extremely confused as to why I wanted to be around Lois so much. Couldn't ever decide who I wanted to look at more. (Partly a biromantic awakening)
4) Sam Beckett (Quantum Leap)
If you couldn't tell, growing up in the early 2000's with musicians as parents led to little 5 year old me having so many old interests I couldn't really relate to younger kids, but that was okay because I had variety! I'm not quite sure how old I was when Netflix was a postal service, but every week or so we'd get a new episode of Quantum Leap, and I LOVED Sam. (And of course my favorite episodes were when he had to be a girl. I am a creature of habit)
5) Obi Wan Kenobi (and Padme) (Star Wars)
Yet another one I was REALLY embarrassed about for some reason. All of my (2 neighbor friends) thought Anakin was soooo hot and I was like.....haha yeah....
6) Chuck Bartowski (and Sarah Walker) (Chuck)
I sort of grew up watching the show Chuck, I'm pretty sure we had rented most of the seasons from our local block buster, lol. Anyway, another case of bi panic, because good GOD. I mean seriously. Just look at them. ALSO I have to mention Scott Bakula (actor for Sam Beckett) is Chuck's DAD so um. Do with that information what you will.
7) The Doctor (11) (Doctor who)
I'm 6 years old. I'm over at my mom's friends house and I am subjected to the first modern show I had really ever paid attention to, and I see this beautiful man holding a baby. And I'm like wait hey...maybe I should sit and watch this instead of wasting 2 hours on the sims 2. So I sit my ass down and it is love at first sight. Later I go to watch the show on my own and the first episode he's with a kid MY AGE?!?! I ate that shit UP. Still madly in love with the raggedy man.
8) 2016 youtuber phase (sigh)
OKAY OKAY EVERYONE ON FANDOM TUMBLR don't boo me, everyone had a youtuber phase in middle school. Everyone also had an undertale phase in middle school. It was the thing to do, (aside from superwholock of course) Had to mention it because we're going in chronological order of things, bear with me. Although these are real people, everyone who was in the depths of insanity at the time knows they were all very...fanonized. Pewdiepie, Jackscepticeye, and Dan Howell (known at the time as danisnotonfire). Yes I am a little ashamed. But I do stand by the fact they are all very cute. I think this is also around the time I got into the Flash series, which brings us...
9) Cisco (The Flash)
Okay girl no one wanted him like I did. Everyone was so focused on the flash they did NOT notice my mans, and that was okay because I didn't have to fight over him with anyone lmao- but yes, he was the light of my life in middle school. Promptly stopped watching the show when he left. Around that time I got into Steven Universe all the way until my sophmore (?) year of highschool which brings us to....
10) Loki (Marvel Media)
Okay look, after being a mild marvel hater for a low-key (pun intended) long time, the loki series came out and I was like okay sure I'll watch it. And henceforth 2021 was the year of Lokimania. Or more fitting, Hiddleston mania. Watched everything I could get my hands on. But I always came back to Loki. (I was 16/17 I think?)
11) Castiel (Supernatural)
Avoided watching the show for a long time because of....the superwholock plague LOL. So 2022 rolls around and my mom is like "hey btw this show is actually really good" and I'm like okay whatever.
Then season 4 hits. And I see this ANGEL. And I am in love. 2022 was the year of supernatural, along with FINALLY getting all of the in-jokes of superwholock.
12) Connor (Detroit: Become Human)
I am now 18. I found myself delving back into my old "watch jacksepticeye while I eat lunch bc I want to be non-verbal" habit and stumbled across his dbh playthrough. I watched it literally ANY time I could. Took two days but it was life changing, so much so that I had literally convinced my mom to buy a cheap ps4 and I played the game. Got so much into the fandom I started watching Bryan Decharts streams, and one thing lead to another and HE COMMENTED ON MY FANART!! Anyway live laugh love Connor Anderson (he is hanks son)
13) Arthur Morgan (Red Dead Redemption 2)
Piggy-backing off of the high of dbh, I finally got around to purchasing red dead 2 (because like 5 of my friends recommended it to me, including my older brother) so I got it, and BOY I did not expect to fall in love with a cowboy, but I suppose it is deeply rooted in me to like fellas of that sort. I cried my eyes out and couldn't eat for a whole day when he died in my first playthrough.
14) Astarion (Baldur's Gate 3)
Look do I even need to explain myself here. Its the same old story of girl sees beautiful man from media she has no idea about, obsesses over thousands of videos of him, buys game and romances him, the rest is history. 2023 was definitely my videogame year.
15) Jerma probably
Look we all know he isn't real but look at how cute he is ^v^'!!
Supremely Honorable Mention: Newt Scamander (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them)
I would have put him in the list but I literally have no memory of watching the first movie, when I did it, how I felt, nothing. Its just a blip and then all of a sudden this human embodiment of a shy giggle consumed my brain (and this was before I was a fan of anything harry potter, again I avoided all the media all together because of the cringe millennial fandom stuff I had seen, no hate to y'all now though cause I'm one of you)
There you have it! I've had a ton of mini crushes in-between these but none compare to this list I think :) I love them very very much and I need to make a giant fanart with all of my silly funky quirky little dudes all being friends <3

Caitlin Snow for the Character Ask
Caitlin Snow (And I’m also doing Frost because I love her)
1: Sexuality headcanon
I’ve always headcanoned Caitlin as being demi with a preference for men. Ronnie was her first time feeling romantic attraction and she fell hard.
As for Frost, I headcanon her as being demi as well, but being much more interested in women than Caitlin. She’s open to men, but her first choice would be a woman.
2: OTP
Caitlin/Ronnie for sure. They had so much chemistry and I’m a sucker for the whole fire/ice thing.
As for Frost, I don’t have anyone in particular I ship her with, in part because I stopped watching The Flash at Season 6ish, so I only got to really see the early stages while she was still finding herself.
3: Brotp
Caitlin & Cisco is the obvious choice, because they obviously love each other (platonically), but I also love Caitlin & Frost. Something something loving and caring for the parts of yourself that you used to hate because you were scared of them.
Frost & Caitlin is a big one (see above) but I also love Frost & Ralph because of the bonding over being kinda outsiders and looked down upon for their pasts.
4: Notp
Caitlin/Cisco. I love them as friends, but I don’t particularly care for them as romantic partners.
Honestly, I don’t see many ships with Frost and I’m neutral on most of them, but the only one I’ve seen that really squicked me out was Frost/Ralph Dibny. I love them as friends, but the thought of them dating is just viscerally offputting.
5: First headcanon that pops into my head
Caitlin, Ronnie, and Cisco definitely had a threesome at some point and then decided that they’d gotten it out of their systems and would rather just be friends. It’s the one secret that, if Cisco ever blabs it to Barry, Caitlin will ACTUALLY lobotomize him over.
Every time Frost spots a new flavor of ice cream that she’s never tried before, she HAS to get it, even if she’s pretty sure she won’t like it. For her birthday one year, Barry took her on a world tour of ice cream shops with crazy flavors and accidentally got her hooked on crawfish ice cream.
6: Favorite line from this character
My favorite two lines from Caitlin are “I need you to urinate in this” literally as soon as Barry wakes up in the pilot episode and her threatening Cisco with a lobotomy.
There’s not necessarily one singular line for Frost, but I love her entire conversation with Barry about her having existential crisis over the fact that the world might be ending always.
7: One way in which I relate to this character
I definitely relate to Caitlin trying to live a double life and keep half of herself (Frost) a secret. I’m trans and spent a good chunk of time trying to hide that part of myself from people.
As for Frost, I definitely vibe with her feelings of being an adult but not really knowing who she is or what she wants because she’s spent her whole life not really having any agency.
8: Thing that gives me secondhand embarrassment about this character
Not necessarily about Caitlin herself, but the way that canon kept trying to throw love interests at Caitlin made me cringe so hard, in part because of how forced it felt.
I don’t love Frost bashing Caitlin for her femininity/liking pink/etc. in her early appearances. I understand that canon was trying to do it as a ‘look at how punk and tough and different from Caitlin she is’ type of thing, but it just came across as very ‘Not Like Other Girls TM’.
9: Cinnamon roll or problematic fave?
Caitlin and Frost are definitely cinnamon rolls.

For bingo, Hartmon, Hartley/Len, and Barry/Hartley? Please and thank you! ❤️
Hartmon:
Canonically Hartley and Cisco are just so competitive they really bring out the worst in each other and it's kind of hilarious at times. The two of them sniping at each other in season 6 and not even meaning to hurt each other so badly and they still manage to be super awful to one another. They give off exes vibes at times - honestly Hartley has as almost as much ex-boyfriend energy with Cisco in S1 as he does with Eobard.
I don't typically make things screwed up with these two, but I really could. I just prefer the fluffy dorkiness instead.
But the glimpse we get in S2 of the two of them being friends is sweet, with Hartley letting his guard down and Cisco being amused by Hartley deliberately needling Caitlin... the fact that they voluntarily work together without having to make rude comments at each other...
And, well, they've got that belligerent UST I enjoy so much. This ship was practically gift wrapped for me.
Hartley/Len:
I haven't really given this ship much thought, but I do like the idea of it. And they could have so many different dynamics, so it's a ship I intend to get around to writing for eventually.
The trials of being a multi-shipper. I wanna write for soooo many ships.
Barry/Hartley:
Okay, so they're not exactly fucking the same guy, but that square has the energy I'm looking for since Eobard and Hartley are totally exes and Eobard is creeping on Barry all S1. Barry/Hartley has the potential to be a complete mess. But they deserve something sweet and soft and ridiculous.
They're both capable of being very dorky and adorable and utterly devoted to the one they love. So pointing them at each other makes for an interesting dynamic, especially if tossed together at a point where they both need some healing.
I also like ships where they have to move past the whole 'attempted murder' thing, but it's extra nuanced here because it can be that Barry remembers that happening but thanks to timeline shenanigans Hartley remembers deciding not to go through with that plan. Which makes things an entirely different flavor of angsty.

The Flash 9x05
Well, that was the underwhelming conclusion to Eric Wallace’s worst “graphic novel” yet. I mean, he always runs out of time with his strange “Oh, no, we can’t use more than a handful episode for a graphic novel because the Mirror Verse Arc was too long and did not work out because of this” thought-process, but this one did make even less sense than the Finale of Season 8 and that is saying something.
Like:
+ By this point the show has kissed anykind of continuity goodbye, but you know: back after Crisis in Season 6 it was said that Gorilla City is now on Earth Prime. Was Cisco lying to us or are we to assume that Gorilla City is here but the sentinient gorillas for some reason aren’t?
+ Did they not say just three eps ago that Ryan Wilder did vanish? Where to and why? And why did she show up at all in this episode, if she was not involved with the Red Death Storyline before? Would it have hurt to have her say anything about her actual whereabouts?
+ They are expecting us that Ryan, who never even meet any of the Superfriends, is now meeting once a month with Kara, Alex and Nia? Why is Kelly not invited (or *sigh* LL for that matter)?
+ Maybe I missed something but what ever happend to the Rogues in this episode? Captain Boomerang, Murmur and Fiddler just - what?- split at one point because they weren’t needed anymore? Or are they still out there as a gang causing chaos and everyone is just fine with this?
+ Eric Wallace’s logic of decent human behaviour and what is considered normal struck again with Joe basically taking Jenna from Cecile and ordering her to only see her (and him) on the weekends. Because you know no crime ever happens on the weekend and Team Flash does only need Cecile five days a week and will totally not die when their most powerful member is not at hand on a sunday because the father of her child has ordered her that this is family time, but she is also not allowed to live with him and her child for the rest of the week. (Yes Jenna is totally not going to come out with a damage out of this situation). And of course everyone is acting like this is totally normal. Bty where is Cecile supposed to live now? Alone in the House? Are Barry and Iris moving in there instead with her? What about the Loft?
+ That whole arc would not have happend if Barry would have had the decency to check in on Grodd somewhen in the last three years! But as we know by now the Earth Prime Barry Allen forgets about his friends on a regular basis, so no surprise there.
+ What was wrong with the writers of this episode anyways? Five minutes after Iris tells her you can be useful as a normal person Khion discovers that she has powers. Five minutes after Barry tells Joe he is useful for the team and he needs him in CC, Joe tells Cecile he is taking Jenna with him to bring her up somewhere else and that Team Flash only needs Cecile.
* If Iris gets pregnant three months too soon, the baby actually won’t be Nora, just saying. So either Barry was wrong or they just erased the lastest version of Nora from existence.
+ Also, let’s just say it at least once: Barry did not need the Rogue Squad. Cecile, Allegra and Kramer are so powerful that the city would not even need him for anything, if they would just explore their powers properly or just - you know - actually use them! (Hence the Meta-Cuffs for Kramer in the most akward moment of the episode).
On the plus side: No more overacting from Javica in this episode. See, a director can make a difference.
But this sadly is not enough to make this “graphic novel” anything other than a desaster.

Lol do you have any thoughts on the zalrb iris anon
Lol sure.
First of all westallen is shit. It's always been shit, they have negative chemistry and Barry was cast because of his chemistry with *Felicity*. The show has always known westallen has horrific chemistry. That's why their one love scene got cut, that's why they are shown looking like a couple of friends who say "babe" rather than an actual, intimate couple. Iris had more intimacy with Eddie than she did with Barry.
Like Iris and Eddie were always touching.
But westallen gives casual work acquaintance lmao:
So when Eric Wallace took over the show, immediately I saw a few thing: everyone who was actually Black on the show was suddenly ACTING Black. No more nana's noodles. They had a cookout the very first episode of s6 I think it was? s8? Whatever I don't remember, but I remember them chatting bout collard greens and shit and I laughed out loud because it was SUCH an obvious change.
The second thing I saw, was Iris and Barry were immediately split up. The thing that frustrated me about pre Eric Wallace Flash was that Iris wasn't really a character. All she did was walk around as Barry's emotional support bra and that pissed me off because Barry's a bitch ass first of all, and second of all, it was frustrating to watch every single character, some even coming onto the show AFTER Candice get entire episodes dedicated to their character development, and Iris just got to mammy Barry or be The Love Interest he pines after. So then when she suddenly got to DO something in that mirror world situation, I was glad. Sure she was gone for a few episodes, but we got to see who Iris is outside of Barry. She was mourning Nora differently, and they even squeezed in a westallen "break up" by having fake Iris kick him out and then have that face off with him. Candice even talked about it, I think on twitter, about finally having something to do after 6 seasons of sitting around. And I could SEE it. She finally had something she could sink her teeth into and really ran with it.
And the placation to westallen fans was that dry ass vow renewal. They'd been deliberately kept apart for a WHILE, and it was obvious, and I had no problem with it because Iris had things to do, and shows don't split up a flagship couple that is carrying the show on their back unless they're deeply stupid (cough, Stelena). But Iris was working, expanding her media business, then that completely stupid time sickness...She was very much living her own life without having to emotionally mammy Barry through EVERY SINGLE EPISODE and after 6 seasons of that, it was refreshing for me, and obviously refreshing for Candice. I think the time she's spent off the show, I think apparently her and Grant, the episodes they weren't in, (because what anon is ignoring is Grant was away for a couple eps as well) were a well deserved break. This time? I've wondered if Candice is working on another project or something, because since this showrunner has taken over, Cecile is basically a main cast member, Joe is finally being made use of again, and Chester was brought in almost immediately to replace Cisco. I think it's clear that Blackifying the show was his intent, so I'm curious about Candice's current absences from this season, not disappointed, because I've seen how well they've made use of her and defined her (as much as possible coming into a shitty show with a shitty flagship couple 6 seasons deep) as her own character in a way I've wanted for her since season 1.

⭐️10 Characters, 10 Fandoms, 10 Tags⭐️
i was tagged by @humangerbil who apparently agonized over their top ten. i meanwhile am going to name the first ten blorbos that come to mind. no pictures or gifs, because a lot of them are books.
1. trisana chandler from the “circle of magic” quartet
a chubby girl who likes books and thinks she’s crazy for the first half of the book? a character after my own heart!
2. bilbo baggins, from “the hobbit”
i appreciate a good cowardly character who overcomes his fears, but never stops preferring peace and comfort. plus fighting smarter rather than harder and using misdirection and tricks are always things i admire.
3. cisco ramon, from “the flash” (2014)
while i do like to draw elements from the comics when i write this character, i really like the incarnation from the cw’s flash tv show. even though the writers did him dirty, and i’m forever mad about that.
4. stiles stilinski, from “teen wolf”
another cw character who got a pretty raw deal, a sarcastic little shit who’s loyal to his friends and has just a touch of magic to him is definitely my type.
5. newton geiszler, from “pacific rim”
see entry #4 for my thoughts on sarcastic little shits. i also just love scientific types who are the top of their field, and newt definitely qualifies.
6. emily fletcher, from the “web of magic” series
i haven’t touched this series in years, but it’s one of my favorites from childhood. i’m hard pressed to choose between the three main girls, but emily is the first pov character and i think i like her best
7. sophie hatter, from “howl’s moving castle”
i am simply loves a woman who does magic by politely asking it to work. or occasionally shouting at it to work, but only when its urgent.
8. merlin, from “the adventures of merlin”
arthurian legend is great, but the bbc series was my obsession for a long time. i love the character of merlin . . . even if i hated the last season of the show.
9. bel-imperia, from “the spanish tragedy”
i didn’t want to fill up this list with shakespeare characters, because that would be extremely pretentious, but i did want to pay homage to my favorite character from one of his contemporaries. bel-imperia is a force of nature who conspires to avenge her dead lover, writes a letter in her own blood, and stabs a prince.
10. izuku midoriya, from “boku no hero academia”
there isn’t a lot of anime on this list, but it just wouldn’t be complete without my current blorbo of the hour! he is the light of my life and his creator can have him back when he learns to be nice to my baby.
honorable mentions: sailor moon, beast boy from “teen titan” (2003), maple from “bofuri,” john egbert and karkat vantas from “homestuck,” and every protagonist from every tamora pierce and diana wynne jones book (limiting myself to one from each of them was HARD!)
i tag @churchyardgrim @hawleypop @hedgiwithapen @isi7140 and anyone else who wants to do it!

First Line Game
tagged by @shrinkthisviolet ! (thanks for the tag!)
Rules: List the first lines of the last ten (10) stories you published. Look to see any patterns you notice yourself, and see if anyone else notices any.
1. Break Glass In Case Of Emergency (Arcane, Post-S1, Jayce POV) “It comes back to him in flashes.”
2. with echoes in my heart (tell them I’m lost) (The Flash, Soulmark AU, S1 AU) “When you steal somebody’s body, you also steal their thoughts, their memories... you steal their love.“
3. Between the Broken Bits (The Flash, S5 Fixit AUs) ““The guard tortured you.” Nora says. “I saw after he made me leave.””
4. which echoes belong (The Flash, Soulmark AU, S5 Fixit AU) “He almost doesn’t notice it.“
5. Meet in the Middle (Transformers MTMTE, canon divergence AU, Driftrod) ““No.”” (Ch1) “Rodimus falls.” (Ch19 - most recently published chapter)
6. Souls in Motion (Batman Beyond, Daemon AU) “Bruce Wayne’s daemon settles early.” 7. Nothing Of Roses (Revolutionary Girl Utena, Post-Canon, Anthy POV) “It turns out it doesn't matter how old she really is (she doesn't remember anymore) if you seem to be a fifteen year old girl, and the documentation you forged says you are a fifteen year old girl, people will think you are a fifteen year old girl.”
8. (Un)Concealed (The Flash, Soulmark AU, Season 2 AU, Harry&Cisco) “Harry stares down at the blue lines on his wrist.”
9. when I woke up without you for the first time (The Flash, Canon Divergence S1 AU - ‘Believe’ AU) ““... You know what would be useful?” Caitlin remarks. “Unmodified speedster DNA. Pre-dark matter. To really understand how this ‘Speed Force’ affects biology.””
10. So Wally Definitely Thinks Joe and Harry Are Dating, Right? (The Flash, S2, comedic misunderstandings) “So when some guy shows up on Joe’s - his dad’s - doorstep, and: -one, looks super surprised to find someone else there, and -two, immediately wants to get out of there when he realizes someone else is there - - he can pretty much figure there’s been a scheduling mishap with date night, not a friend stopping by for an unexpected chat.”
Hmmm... patterns. Most of these open in medias res, and there are mostly short, limited context openers (e.g. ’It comes back to him in flashes.’ and ‘He almost doesn’t notice it.’ leaves you without context for what ‘it’ is to start) but a couple outliers that are packing a TON of information about the context of the story into one sentence XD Mostly internal monologue or description, only a couple of dialogue openers. These are really fun to look at together, thanks for the tag! If this looks fun to you too, give it a shot!

Takes place in Season 5 Episode 5 and 6
Warning(s); Mentions of miscarriages. Nightmares.
Tag list; @thebloodrobin @badasspolygenderfriend
Story list; Chapter 1 , Chapter 2
. . .
When you wake up, the apartment is eerily quiet. Usually it wouldn’t be a problem for you- but now that you have an infant- it startles you to climb out of bed and rush to the nursery across the hall.
When you find that Dante’s crib in empty, you feel your chest tighten, looking over your shoulder as you move back to the hallway, and to the kitchen, “Cisco?!”
“Morning!” Cisco greets you almost instantly with a kiss to your temple, your eyes moving around him to see Dante holding younger him, bouncing in small circles so young Dante giggled and grabbed for his shirt,
“Why didn’t you tell me he was up?” You breathe, hand at your chest, “I almost had a heart attack,”
“Easy, mami,” Cisco soothes, handing you a glass of (favorite/drink), “He got up early, and I figured you were still exhausted from yesterday so Dante and I already got him up for you,”
“Thanks,” You murmur, Cisco humming as he kisses your lips, turning to Dante now looking at his phone,
“It’s Sherloque,” Dante rolls his eyes, almost instantly so does Cisco, “We’re needed at the labs,”
“Are you gonna be okay here without me?” Cisco asks, and you smile, taking the infant from Dante with a nod,
“Gotta get used to being with him alone anyways,” You remind, “Stay safe, and Caitlins been having some struggles with her dad. Help her?”
“I’ll see what I can do,” Cisco nods, pecking your lips before moving to the door, Dante waving over his shoulder before youre left in silence again,
“Okay,” You heave, looking down at the babbling boy, “What to do...”
. . .
“Well, well, well. Liquid nitrogen,”
Cisco shines his flashlight towards Sherloques voice, stepping up next to him to the giant container, “That’s a potent accelerant, is it not? Oh this place it would have gone up,”
“So all my fathers work is completely gone?”
“Well, not necessarily,” Ralph speaks, “I mean, think about it. Police listed this fire as accidental, but they didn’t know about the connect to your father, so,”
“Ralph, my father told me to come find him,”
“I know that, but a guy who disappears on the night of a warehouse fire and who’s hard to find?”
Ralph pauses when finding a box, lifting it and setting it on the table. Within seconds, Sherloque scoffs in addition to Ralph starting an argument on Caitlins mother,
“Alright!” Cisco shouts, pushing past Ralph to grab the lid of the box, “Give me this!”
The three are forced to watch as their friends nose begins to bleed, body collapsing almost instantly so Caitlin gasped, rushing for her friend on the floor of the factory, “Cisco?”
. . .
“While you were unconscious, I scanned your wounds. There are still trace amounts of aluminum beryllium alloy fused within your hands,” Caitlin turns to Cisco on the med bed next to her, her friend running a hand down his face with a large sigh,
“See, this is- this is what I need,” Cisco laughs, irritably, “I just need rest,”
“No, Cisco, rest is not going to fix this, okay? Every time you vibe or breach, the dark matter is going to affect your central nervous system, causing you more and more pain, every time you cube, you are going to experience more and more seizures,”
“Then what am I supposed to do?” Cisco asks, loudly, sitting up so he could stare at Caitlins startled expression. He sighs and rests his head in his hands, fingers knotting into his dark locks,
“Y/N woke up from a nightmare last night,” He starts, voice quiet as he lifts his head and looks at his hands, “Of when Cicada attacked her at home yesterday, of her going into labor early. She was scared, Caitlin, because I wasn’t there and she was focused on whether or not I’d make it to see our son,”
“But she made it through it, because she’s strong,” Caitlin reassures, Cisco swallowing and shaking his head,
“But what if I hadn’t had made it?” Cisco asks, now looking up his best friend, “What if Y/N had Dante, and learned that I didn’t make it? It would have crushed her, Cait, you know that,”
“I do know that,” Caitlin nods, hand on Cisco’s knee, “When you and her were thinking of baby names, she chose the name Dante for your brother. When future Dante came, she didn’t complain of the fact that Dante looks exactly like you. When she found out Dante has her powers, she secretly wished he was a breacher like you. Because she wanted Dante to grow up to be the man you are today,”
“Y/Ns terrified of her not regaining her powers,” Cisco murmurs, curling his fingers, “She depends on her powers just as much as we all do, Nora said she’d gain them back, but, with the timeline changing and Dante being here a month early-,”
“Like you told her yesterday,” Caitlin reminds, “Her body is still healing from child birth. Both you and her need to trust the process of time,”
Cisco nods, biting his lip to calm his nerves.
. . .
When you wake up again, it’s at two in the morning and in desperate need for air. You find yourself sitting up, only sparing your sleeping husband a glance before you climb out of bed, edging towards the nursery for the third time that night.
Your footsteps are light as they move from hardwood to carpet, your hand tucking hair behind your ear as you lean over the crib, eyes staring at the bundled infant silently in slumber,
A moments pause before a hand touches your arm, a startled yelp escaping your lips so another hand covered your mouth, your eyes flicking up to Cisco’s face shining from the windows moonlighting,
Your brows furrow as you hit his chest, glancing back over to the infant in fear he had awoken, but Cisco is quietly leading you out into the hallway, his own brows pinched with worry,
“Why did you scare me?” You hiss in a whisper, hitting his chest again but then resting your hand in that spot, fingers clutching at his shirt,
“What’re you doing up again?” He whispers back, watching your held tilt towards the nursery, before his hand slides up to your jaw, guiding your eyes back to his in the dark, “Hey,” He murmurs, second hand mirroring the first on your face, “What’s going through your head?”
You clench your jaw and let your eyes flutter shut, opening them so you met Cisco’s eyes, “I had the nightmare again,” You swallow, “But this one was different,”
“How?” Cisco questions,
“I-,” You shrug, blinking so Cisco felt a tear touch his thumb, where he rubs the skin, soothingly, “In this nightmare Dante didn’t survive, him coming early caused complications,”
You sniffle, Cisco shushing you as he pulls you to his front, hand sliding to clutch at your hair,
“Hey,” Cisco whispers, your eyes shutting as you tuck your head under his chin, “We’re okay, baby. All of us,”
“But you almost weren’t,” You remind, Cisco’s eyes shutting as he exhales, “I could have lost either one of you,”
“But you didn’t,” Cisco reminds back, tilting his head down so you looked up, “You’ve got us,”
“Promise?” You plea, Cisco smiling with a nod, his lips pressing against yours, hand at your hip, tightly,
“I promise,” He murmurs, letting you lean back into him before he kisses your head, guiding you to the bedroom footsteps away.
When you wake up the fourth time, you decide sleep wasn’t your friend and settled in the living room, tea in one hand and phone in the other. Four AM. Dante would be waking up soon. Cisco eventually, too.
Your mind drifts back to the nightmares. All four times, all four nightmares were different. Cicada attacking. Early labor. Dante not surviving. Cisco not surviving.
Lucid dreams weren’t common during your pregnancy. You wondered if it was an after effect of pregnancy for you, or if Cicada attacking really took a toll on you.
You hear Cisco before you see him, his figure soon sinks down onto the couch beside you, and in silent motions, he allows you to set down your mug and press yourself against him, his arms tight around your shoulders,
“Do you wanna talk about it?” His whisper is almost ghost like, one leg spread across the couch as the other hung off the side, your body settled between and against his chest,
A small exhale, and you let your ear rest on his chest, “You didn’t make it,”
Cisco’s hand slides up your back and caresses the back of your head, in silence pressing short, slow kisses to your temple and ear,
“You know I’m not leaving, babe,”
“I know,” You murmur, nodding, “I just don’t know why I keep having these nightmares,”
“We can ask Caitlin,” Cisco hums, “See if it’s really an after effect,”
You nod a second time, allowing your body to relax as your eyes flutter shut, breaths evening out. Dante’s short cry causes you to jump, head shooting up to look over the couch, where Cisco sits up, hands on your hips,
“I got him, don’t worry,” He soothes, and you move to sit back in your previous spot, “Finish your tea,”
Your eyes watch as he disappears around the corner, sighing into your cup as you take a needed sip of the warm beverage.
. . .
“Cisco?” Said male looks up at Caitlins call, her and Barry staring at him in concern, “You okay, bud?”
Cisco’s hand runs down his face, elbow propped on his chair in thought, “What if I took a break?” At Caitlins head tilt, he exhales, “From the team?”
“Cisco Ramon,” Your appearance behind him causes him to turn around, sharply. Dante was not with you- Joe and Cecile had suggested a play date day for him and Jenna, “I’m not letting you do that,”
“Y/N,” Cisco sighs, and you shake your head, moving to stand next to Caitlin in front of him,
“No. Cisco, aside from Dante and I, this team is the most important thing to you. I’m not going to let you walk away from it because of my problems,” You hold a finger, “And I know that’s why you’re thinking this,”
“I just don’t want to be the cause of your nightmares,” Cisco states, and you close your eyes, looking down,
“Cisco, whether you’re on the team or not, I’m always going to worry about you, and them,” You nod to Barry and Caitlin, “The past four years, Barry was the pinpoint of my worry. Scared he would end up like our parents. Dante was born, he’s now the center of my worry. I’m always going to be worried- now with metas in Central City, how can I not be?”
You shake your head, “The point is, I’m not letting you leave this team. No questions asked,”
Barry smiles when Cisco leans his head against his chair and looks up at you, patting Caitlins shoulder so she nodded for him to follow her to her lab,
Cisco pushes up from his chair and rounds the control panel, arms wrapping around you, tightly, “I love you. You know that, right?”
“Always,” You smile and look up at him, Cisco cupping your face with a light laugh,
“Let’s catch Cicadas ass,”

Lace's Official Ranking of Couples from The Flash
1: Cisco and Kamilla
Best guy in the Flashverse meets best girl in the Flashverse. Instant recipe for perfection.
When I first heard via Tumblr that Cisco had a new girlfriend in season 6, my automatic reaction was, "Oh, Christ, ANOTHER one????" because while I don't dislike his previous love interests, I had grown tired of watching him fall head over heels for people who didn't care as much about him as he did for them. And given the less than encouraging (and wildly incorrect) criticism for Kamilla in the same post that I learned of her existence in, my expectations were very low, and I tried to just enjoy single!Cisco while he lasted, dreading what I thought would be yet another uneven and unsatisfying romantic arc for him.
So when a cute bartender offered Cisco a drink to cheer him up (half a season sooner than I was expecting her), and they struck up a conversation that felt so comfortable and effortless, a little wistful part of me was like, "Man, it's too bad he can't just date her. She's sweet and relatable and they have nice chemistry. If this was how he met the girl he ended up with, that would actually be really cute." AND THEN SHE INTRODUCED HERSELF.
Admittedly, I was still a little skeptical for a while, due to the frigid reception she got from the majority (or just the loudest members) of the fandom, but the more I saw of Kamilla, the more I couldn't help liking her, and she quickly became one of my favorite characters. A photographer, an artsy girl working a customer service job that she hates, who's attracted to Cisco's personality and decidedly turned off by all the stupid personas he tries on to try to impress her; who tolerates his chatty friend crashing their date with a smile, and is certain about her answer when he asks her if she really wants to update her relationship status.
Building a relationship with each other is easy, but it still takes some work. For Kamilla, it means letting not only Cisco, but his whole found family into her life, and accepting all facets of his life and dealing with all the craziness that comes with being part of a superhero team. For Cisco, it means breaking down his protective walls and letting himself be vulnerable with Kamilla, and trusting her not to let him down. And as their relationship progresses, they both support each other's careers (and get involved in them when needed) and never want to stand in each other's way. They're both fiercely protective of one another, and they have compatible aspirations that change at the same time, allowing them to grow together instead of having to choose between each other or themselves.
They are two very different individuals, but their differences don't interfere with their relationship, because they embrace them and work with them, instead of trying to make their relationship work in spite of them. It also works because they share a lot of similarities; they're both independent and driven, and they both understand this about each other and are able to balance their time spent together and apart. They're also both caring and loyal to their friends and a good ear to vent to and shoulder to cry on, and that carries over to their relationship with each other as well.
Kamilla makes Cisco happier than anyone he's ever been with, she's able to tell him when he's being an idiot while still being on his side, she's someone he trusts with things he's not ready to tell anyone else, while also understanding that sometimes the person he needs to talk to is someone who's known him longer, and what a lot of people mistake for a lack of chemistry is in fact just a lack of reliance/focus on sexual tension.
Even though they didn't get nearly enough storylines and they're criminally underrated, they're easily the second or third most developed couple in the show, and they are absolutely the cutest.

–BIOGRAPHY– [cancer tw & death mention tw]
The bare bones of Cisco’s bio is that he's a well-paid and highly regarded professional film & TV stunt coordinator and has been for a very, very long time. Francisco “Cisco” McCoy is a part of the entertainment industry’s famous McCoy family. His father’s a film and TV producer in Hollywood while his mother is the Director at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. His older sister is a former model who now designs clothing, and his younger brother is a fitness trainer to the stars.
A fun fact about the McCoy children that all 3 of the McCoy children hate: each of them was named after the city where they were conceived: Athena (Athens) Francisco (San Francisco), and Boston. Their parents hold no shame in this while the origins of their names brings groans and eye rolls.
The more in-depth biography is below:
Although he was born in the U.S. (California, specifically), his formative years were spent in England. Today, he and his siblings have dual citizenship between the two countries. He enjoyed fitness and martial arts from a young age and had a pretty fearless personality. As he grew up, he turned it into a career path, and earned roles doing stunt work in Tinseltown--both big and small stunt roles. Over the years, he became a very successful in his career; however his heath had taken an unexpected turn in his late 20′s.
He was diagnosed with prostate cancer though and initially went through hormone therapy for it. The time was grueling and trying for Cisco but with his family’s support and his perseverance, he fought. And after nearly 1 year, he was in remission. For a while and later thought he was cancer-free and went back to working as much as possible. Unfortunately his clean bill of health didn't last long after that and within 1 year of this time it turned out his cancer had spread. The doctors had been concentrating just on his prostate before, but similar symptoms as before arose for him all over again, leading to the detection of the cancer being in his kidneys. This time, he had to do chemo and prior to the treatments, he'd made the decision to freeze his sperm, knowing the risk of infertility would be too great from there. This time, after chemotherapy he was declared cancer-free.
The back-to-back ordeal had Cisco wanting to live life full in out, more so than he was before and he threw himself into work a lot, and traveled in between jobs. Although he’s been considered fearless by many (some friends in the industry calling him a real life Daredevil), Cisco feared for his life twice despite being encouraged throughout his fight by his medical team and loved ones. He hasn’t openly talked about it but there were times where he had thought he would be dead thanks to this terrible disease.
But as he's getting older (not old, as he'd stand by, but older) he has shifted his focus on, not settling down per set, but easing up and going on the adventure of life with someone else from here. Hence, him auditioning for Ship-Wrecked! He still works as a stunt coordinator though and loves what he does. And he used to live in the LA area up until around his second diagnosis, but when he started reaching the higher end of the pay scale, he decided to buy a home in his hometown of SF and only stays in LA when he's actively filming, while staying in SF in his down/off time.

6, 10, and 16 (for the flash) from the salty ask list?
6.) Has fandom ever made you enjoy a pairing you previously hated?
Hmmmm... certainly fandom has made me enjoying pairings I was ambivalent about or come to enjoy characters that I didn't initially like. (Oh, Harry Wells, I just needed to get to know him better...) But a pairing I hated?
Nothing really springs to mind, really.
I think fandom has helped validate my dislike of certain ships, though. Like... I'm not weird or alone for disliking Olicity after a certain point in the Arrow. And while I'm glad some people still managed to enjoy that ship as the show went on, it's very nice to know I wasn't alone in feeling like they worked better as flirty friends than as date mates. Or that I'm not the only one seeing Chester/Allegra on the Flash now and going 'why???'
Fandom did help me with liking Barry/Iris. Those first few seasons the show's treatment of Iris was... like she was a prize for Barry to win or that she had to be with Barry because Destiny and not because it's what she wants. But while Candice and Grant's acting helped eventually move me past the show's bad writing... I think I'm always going to like comics Barry/Iris over the show's version.
10.) Most disliked arc? Why?
I can't say I've been too thrilled with a lot of the recent story arcs on the Flash. Armageddon was particularly bad for having Eobard running three contradictory plots simultaneously, an amatonormative and aphobic rant from Alex, and the worst pacing problems the show has ever suffered from (and it's had some really poorly paced episodes). But the end of S8 having Caitlin's response to Frost's death be to essentially commit suicide was incredibly insulting. Way to confirm that no one ever really knew what to do with Caitlin on her own on that show. How many characters do they have to kill off by suicide on this show before someone in the writer's room considers that's a super shitty message to send?
Eddie. Barry's first time remnant. HR Wells. E90 Barry. Nash Wells. Caitlin Snow. And I'm sure I'd be able to list more if I put more thought into it. I've spoken about it before and it's frustrating that the trend has continued. Characters exiting the show via suicide is the worst repeating arc on the show.
(Over on the Arrow making Ollie Queen basically an honorary cop - Ollie Queen, the loudest voice shouting ACAB in the comics O_O - in the final season. Oh wow. That was bad. That was insulting. That should never have made from the writer's room to the screen. Like... tell me you don't know the first thing about Oliver Queen from the comics without saying you haven't paid attention to a single Green Arrow comic ever.)
16.) If you could change anything in the show, what would you change?
I think I'd start with immediately post the Red Skies Crisis. Play up the differences in Earth Prime from Earth-1. Reorganize the episode order and pacing so that Iris' mirror arc didn't drag on so badly and that the Speed Force dying didn't seem to come out of nowhere to become a plot tumor. The mirror arc would truly be Iris' arc, not something that left her a damsel in distress the instant Barry was ready to save her. The Wells characters given a send off that respected their place on the show instead of the insulting it. Give Cisco and actual story arc in the first half of S7 so that him leaving the show truly celebrates his character instead of looking like a last minute joke episode.
Basically everything post mid-season of S6. There were a lot of good ideas in there, but the execution grew increasingly sloppy with twists more for the drama of it than because they made sense. And one day I do intend to write a post Red Skies Crisis fix fic that implements some of those ideas.

Need to vent about that Premiere cause hoo boy.... have I got some thoughts on this.
I’m definitely gonna need some fix-it-fics cause wow...
Aight, I'm gonna be extremely upset if THAT'S the way that Harrison Wells leaves the show. They could've come up with any other solution but ANOTHER human sacrifice so Barry can live and have his speed? Not buying into that. It's sloppy writing and my boys deserve better than that, especially after everything they've been through. What was even the point of the whole exorcising Thawne from Nash if a handful of episodes later you just go ahead and kill him and the rest of the Wells multiverse off? It's boring and short sighted and if it wasn't for the possibility Wells makes a comeback in some form and the fact I love Cisco and Cait/Frost I'd probably stop watching now. The team isn't complete without a Wells - no matter how much they try to replace him with other characters. The different versions of Harrison Wells are one of the few reasons that I’ve kept coming back to the show (and because I love Reverse Flash as a villain).
As a side note - still not buying in on Allegra and Chuck. I didn't enjoy them in season 6 and still don't after this episode. They aren't necessary as main characters in my opinion. Maybe their writing will be better and I might start to like them later as the season goes on but after half of season 6 and now? Not into them, they just acted as an irritation this episode more than anything. They didn’t add anything extra to the episode for me and considering what happened with Nash and the rest? Just not feeling them as characters. It may be the writing or it may be the choices of the actors or both but they haven’t brought me anything to enjoy or even just given me a reason to get invested in them.
Now - If they go for an Evil Cecile arc for the official season 7 plot? I'd be down to see that happen. I love her character and it would be fun to see that kind of character growth in some way for her abilities. It would be a good “wolf in the herd” kind of plot that I enjoy and would be a good callback to season 1. I think they could do some good things with that (and maybe I just want to see Dani play a good villain cause she’s small but mighty and it would be fun). I wasn't sold on the Iris in the mirror dimension story arc either (like it wasn't predictable about whether or not Eva was the real or fake one 😒) but this episode was creepy enough I actually enjoyed it - props to Candice for making that whole chased by a look-a-like horror scene entertaining even with how short lived it was - it was one of the best parts of the episode.
Outside of that - full beard Joe is a good look and I’m digging it. It looks good on him and somehow fits the character really well as Captain now even though I wasn’t expecting it when he first showed up on screen.

I just started thinking. Who's gonna be Barry’s guy friend, especially if he needs relationship advice after Cisco leaves or to just go out to grab a beer and left off some steam? Chester? They haven't built that kind of friendship up yet and he needs more advice than Barry. His father in law, Joe? We barely see Joe with any of his family, especially his own daughters and son, Wally. Does Barry even talk to any of the other cops at CCPD? They really didn't have to do Cisco so dirty seasons ago or kill off Harry from Earth 2. I don't know, I think if the show handled their characters better, then the actors wouldn't be leaving. I thought Eric could right the wrongs for them that the previous showrunners started, but I guess not.
Idk, but I am going to miss Barry and Cisco’s friendship, even though lately they’ve mostly had like angsty and emotional scenes together, instead of more fun banter.
I mean, I think Tom was ready to move on, anyways. For Carlos, though, I do think that if they had treated Cisco better from season 4 onwards and given him varied story-lines, there would have been incentive for Carlos to stay. I feel like Carlos had made up his mind going into season 6, at that point, that he wasn’t going to renew his contract.
