So castiel is actually based on a real angel cassiel. In the original text, cassiel was an archangel who watched over humanity with little to no interference.

He's also the angel of tears and temperance and is also the angel of saturn/Saturday, not Thursday (Chuck can't get his damn kids' birthdays right), but he's also associated with the moon which makes the fact that castiels first appearance was at night so much more interesting.

But when people used to pray to him, it would be during times of stress, asking him for guidance or to "turn their tears of stress into tears of joy," which is what Dean prays for most of the time during the show.

He's also a prince?? He's the prince of the 7th heaven and the prince of the orders of powers.

Idk. I just wish they would have stuck to cassiel more because I would love to see castiel as a prince. (I need fanart right neow)

A Matty fan found a parallel between his tour visuals where he lays with a wax figure of himself and compares it to the similar show in the Fortnight video.

Public Taylor (Taylor) and Private Taylor (Post Malone) not touching as the Mattys are is especially interesting. Public Taylor is opting to hold the stories of her relationships (the US book) instead of her own hand.

the abbott work family.

we start with our moms. the work wives. Barb and Mel. For all intents purposes we’ll refer to Barb as Mommy and Mel as Mama.

Next the Kiddos - Janine, Greg, and Jacob.

I think Ava can fit into 2 places- family friend who is close enough to be considered ‘auntie ava’ OR Barb’s niece.

Mr.J ofc is Barb’s brother.

Janine- For her Mel is the soft mama that loves her baby so much and wants her to succeed. She understands that Janine can be a little much sometimes and is very patient with her. Barb is it disciplinarian for Janine but it’s still in a very soft way. She likes Janine to learn her lessons by fire but she’s always there to pick up her baby when she’s down. Janine is a Mama’s girl but works v hard for Mommy’s validation.

Greg- Greg is a Mommy’s boy hands down. He looks to her for so much guidance and she gives it to him ten-fold. He knows he can go to her for anything. We don’t see a lot of Mel and Greg but i think that Mel loves Greg as much as she loves all their kids. They had a tough start but i feel like Mel would definitely give him a pat on the head and a good job when he needed it.

Jacob- Jacob is a Mommy AND Mama’s boy. For Jacob I think Mel is the disciplinarian but is soft no less. Barb and him have a lot in common so he enjoys spending time with her. They both love him incredibly and try to guide him the same way they do Greg and Janine.

K so their birth order.

Greg is the oldest which is why i think him and barbara are so close because a mother and her eldest son have the most incredible bonds.

Jacob is the middle child. He doesn’t require much attention but everyone still acknowledges his existence and he is super corny and that’s a middle child if i’ve ever known one.

Janine ofc is the baby. She requires the most attention, and her moms give it. She also goes to her older brothers often and they are always there to co-sign on her foolishness and support her.

Now Ava. I think that she can be the family “auntie ava” because we all have that family friend who’s that close that says way too many inappropriate things that make the moms roll their eyes and shake their heads but in the same side she can be that cousin too.

She and Barb also have an auntie/ niece relationship where she listens to and respects barbara enough to where barb is “the only one who can even get her to remotely do her job”

And then Mr.J. Him and Barb are the old heads that go way back and can relate to each other like brother and sister. I also think that if that’s the case Mr.J is the oldest and Barb is his little sister. I love their interactions and i hope we get more of them.
