so, firstly, hey. Secondly, gonna do this anonymously cuz heaven knows what I'm about to say makes little to no sense. Thirdly, don't bite me for this weird as heck idea.

So everyone is going on about au's where ancients become beast ancients or swap places with them. My brain has recently been cooking (and probably burning) this new au similar yet very different. Mainly because the ancients and beasts are completely different cookies. Forgive me, for I'm about to start an entire novel about this thought.

It's like a role swap between the brave gang + ancients side kicks swapping with the ancients and beasts. I already saw someone make art of what soul jams the brave gang would get and it aligned with this au partially. The sidekicks swap with their ancients and the beasts swap with the brave gang. (yeah no, see why i went anonymous?) The only names that change are the beasts and the brave gang cuz I can't get the others names for crack

Dark Cacao cookie and Caramel arrow cookie (and before anyone anyone asks "why not dark choco cooki-" I will smack the ever living daylight out of you, don't test me.)

Golden cheese cookie swaps with smoked cheese cookie (originally I wanted to do mozzarella cookie but then I questioned if that made sense considering what went down in beast yeast. I'm still unsure how to make that idea work considering their styles and whatnot but I'll figure it out. tempted to go back to mozzarella cookie tbh)

Wildberry cookie and hollyberry cookie. (we don't talk about pitaya)

white lily cookie and silverbell cookie. (Is he a child? Probably. Does it make for good character development in his time as an ancient? Hopefully. Does he also go evil like white lily cookie after finding out witches eat cookies? Can't confirm nor deny)

Beasts and bravegang (the ask is getting long so Imma just give the new names and you'll figure it out at this rate)

While it would be quite the interesting concept of having the Brave gang be in the positions of the Beasts, I’m kinda leaning towards Beast Ancients as my preferred taste, it just fits well given their relationship and concepts opposed to the Beasts.

Hmm, so today i worked with a bit of horror and this came to me

What if we make the Batman into a cryptid but the cooler kind, the leyend to scare young kids type

This came from me thinking about La llorona, a leyend (scary one) here in México and some other parts of latam it seems(?) and it's in short, about a woman whose kids die and she dies from sadness over it, with her eyes drying up from so much crying, becoming a spirit that haunts the world while calling for her children in desperate screams

The reason behind the kids' death changes depending on who you ask, either she killed them or it was an accident, but they die by drowing in all versions, and, as a result of the above, any kid she comes across gets taken away because she mistakes them for her own, they end up dying by her hands too tho (because she thinks they're hers and drowns them, or because she realizes they aren't)

She's also a single mother (the story goes back to the 1500 btw)

And I think Bruce fits this. So. Fucking. Well.

Like, Jason and Dick die, and he becomes this, and then Tim was trying to help him pass from the world but he couldn't and instead became his child too, and the rest followed along, by accident, by choice or not

Can he be a hero here? I don't think so, but, maybe he does care for the children somehow, the ones that he realizes aren't his, that they have parents to go to are the ones he protects

He cares for the people, who are not at fault for his loss, so he protects the city he also haunts

He cares for the nice old man who's never been afraid of him, who gives him a sad smile and who he feels like he knows but all the memories of his life are buried down and forgotten behind his children dying

He might not even want the children he takes to die, it's like the pit rage in canon, it takes over him and they world gets too blurry to think right

And he cares for those kids, he really does, it's not their fault, but there's one he can never remember the name of (Dick) no matter how many times he repeats it

Dick forgave his dad (whatever the reason for their deaths might be) and wanders around him in a nice way, doing his best so all of them can finally pass away

Jason hasn't. He haunts Bruce, most of the episodes where he snatches more kids away are Jason's fault, as he appears and dissapears in front of him, making him believe any kid is his boy, Jason doesn't notice and actually tries to protect other kids.

Steph's 'your not my dad!' call hits harder in this au-

Cass was wandering around town alone, she didn't stand a chance because she couldn't even scream for help. She's like a second shadow to Bruce, always near, always watching, and some who have scaped them swear her eyes never stop looking at you. She might be the only kid who's not mad at him for taking her away

Duke is similar enough, he didn't like the dark, but when there's no other choice is the worst thing that happens.

Damian's tale as a child of his that Bruce originally thought to have died gets worse when he gets taken, reunited but only by death, one that is his dad's fault.

One where Bruce got another one of his kids killed.

Tripitaka, already having experienced the triplets, and knowing how his shapeshifting demon biology helps out in the proccess, ultimately decides to keep the surprise pregnancy.

Tripitaka: "It isn't their fault I was careless. This is my penance for breaking my vow of Chastity."

Macaque, snorts: "Gonna need to step up your kitten game if you want to redeem those chastity points, fluffy. You and lover boy are 4 to-"

Tripitaka: (*glares angrily enough to send a chill up the shadow monkey's spine*)

Macaque, wisely: "Ah. Nevermind the batting average then."

The thankfully singleton cub Mèng Huàn (梦幻/"dream") is born looking similar to the cryptid Maltese Tiger - owning to her sire's azure-blue fur.

Her name comes from the fact she was very sleepy and easily-distracted as a cub, frequently losing focus while playing with her older siblings and wandering off in a daydream. The sort of baby who needs to be leashed to avoid misadventures.

As an older juvenile she still has trouble with daydreaming and wandering off - something that never fails to worry her parents and uncles.

Additional hilarity; if she's born closer to modern day then MK would have an aunt who's mentally just a little older than him. Imagine a big sister-figure twice his height who's too passive to admit when her Mcdonalds order is wrong.

Hangs around Metropolis more than not. Whenever she gets lost she knows how to backtrack to Pigsy's by the smell of his cooking + her older brother Tangzi.

Tbh is probably the person who set her Pigsy's order to drop off at the construction site - the gps on the app confused her.

Omg Warlock!Yuuji with Patron!Sukuna sounds amazing, do you have any more bg3 au ideas???

Oh boy do I have more ideas, I've been thinking about a Baldur's Gate 3 AU since I finished my first playtrhough (I'm currently on my fifth)

I mainly have ideas about Yuji, Megumi, Gojo and Geto so I'm gonna share those

Yuji, as I've said, would be a warlock with Sukuna as his patron, I think that, much like in canon, he made a pact with him so that he could have the power to protect someone and he doesn't regret making the pact because it makes him able to fight and help those in need, but he definitely hates Sukuna himself

Also I know in bg3 the Flaming Fists are the city guards and it's the entire group's name, but I love the idea of having Yuji in this AU being known as the "Flaming Fist" sort of like Wyll is the "Blade of Frontiers", maybe he could start out with monk as his primary class (I've played a monk in my second playthrough and my God I loved punching everyone) and later on become a warlock because of Sukuna

For Megumi the obvious choice would be for him to be a wizard with the Ten Shadows being the various familiars he can summon through the find familiar spell, but I also love the idea of him being a druid with the Ten Shadows being his available wild shapes (and I also love the idea of him gaining access to spells like animal friendship, speak with animals and dominate beast)

Specifically, I think he should be a druid of the Circle of the Moon since they're more specialized in wild shaping and gain access to combat wild shape, which I think would suit him quite well

Gojo and Geto I have to put them together, of course I do, and they were actually the first characters I got an idea about when I started thinking about this AU

Just imagine: Satoru as a cleric of Selûne and Suguru as a cleric of Shar, both their Deities' chosen ones and destined to be enemies

They met the first time when they were fairly young and somehow ended up falling in love despite everything, meeting in secrets for years without ever telling anyone, until one day Shar finds out and takes away Suguru's memories of Satoru (sort of like how she does with Shadowheart about her parents). Satoru doesn't know at first, how could he? He only knows that Suguru stopped showing up at their usual spot to meet up, and when they do somehow end up meeting later on... Well. Suguru doesn't remember him anymore. Satoru is just another enemy in the midst of many others

I could very well envision Satoru trying everything he can to give Suguru back his memories, but every time he gets too close to getting his Suguru back Shar intervenes and renders all his attempts null. She doesn't want to risk losing her chosen one after all, especially not to a follower of her sister

Maybe they'd eventually get a happy ending, maybe they won't, I haven't thought that far out yet but they're definitely stuck in this constant loop of Satoru trying his hardest until Suguru almost gets his memories back before Shar gets in the way

I haven't thought much about other characters tbh but Maki could definitely be a battle master fighter Lae'zel-style, and maybe Panda could also be a druid but of the Circle of the Land unlike Megumi who's part of the Circle of the Moon

Also Mahito is definitely a follower/the chosen of Bhaal Orin-style, I think it'd fit him pretty well

I have new Boba and Matcha Art!!! With bonus “canon” comic :000!!!

I’m obssesed with them!!! Here’s them laying in the grass:

I’m going to try to explain this in a less ramble-y way with new details I’ve thought of! (Because the first post of this AU was written in a sleep deprived haze. First post linked here if you want to see them in color but shittily. Note: I’m leaving out the jackets from here on out because they were a pain in the ass to draw and I don’t always have the energy for that)

So this is from my recently made MxB Bittersweet Memories AU (which is kind of like 2 aus in one). In this AU there is the “canon” universe and the “drink” universe.

The “canon” universe has the main Sonic cast we all know and love with a focus on Sonic and Shadow. The reason it’s “canon” and not just canon is because there is sonadow (and I’m so funny to make that reference <3 /sarcastic) More on that later.

The Drink universe has variations of the main cast (both in personality and appearance) based on different drinks/drink flavors, also with a focus on the Sonic and Shadow variants. In this universe, there is Boba! Sonic (who is extra peppy and sweet like boba) and Matcha! Shadow (who is very calm, since Matcha tea can decrease anxiety and stress). They call each other by their drink names instead of their “canon” names because I might write a fic and the plot I’m about to explain requires them to be distinct from the “canon” cast.

The silly thing that connects these two AUs into one is the weird connection the sonadow variants have. “Canon” Sonic feels all the emotions Boba has toward Matcha, and they sort of reflect into his own feelings for “Canon” Shadow, as seen in the comic above. Matcha experiences all of Shadow’s memories through dreams and general emotions, including Shadow’s memories of Maria and her death. These memories don’t have to be distant and Matcha can experience them as recent as they happen.

For the “canon” universe, this connection leads to Sonic chasing after Shadow and in the end, they get together. Although, it does take some time since they still have their rivalry.

In the Drink universe, Matcha and Boba have already gotten together in the beginning (and they don’t have a rivalry since their story went a lot different). Instead of going on adventures and saving the world, the people of their universe sell drinks corresponding to themselves (Matcha specializes in Matcha Tea, Boba makes boba, etc). Matcha’s sister (Apple Cider! Maria) never died, so he doesn’t have the same or as much trauma as Shadow (Grenadine! Gerald is dead tho but from old age rather than assassination; he adopted Matcha in this universe and they had a good relationship before he passed). This makes dreams and memories of Maria dying distressing (even though he doesn’t know who Maria is). As a result, the connection leads to a Hurt/Comfort scenario that strengthens Matcha and Boba’s bond.

Throughout this whole thing, both pairs don’t even know the other universe exists!!! It makes it funnier on Sonic’s end tbh XD

I know this is. A lot. But I’m not really sorry!!! I love Matcha and Boba so much!!!

TDLR: Drink Universe with drink inspired STH designs (and established sonadow) and “Canon”Universe with regular STH designs with almost but not yet established sonadow have a weird connection that leads to scenarios ✨ (and lots of sonadow moments!!)

Im a lil sads but I'm thinking about some cute ideas for my horror sans.

I might call him fang or Tar? I'm not sure,, something to do with his silly teeth. Or a meaningful name I'm not sure. But some of my headcanons for him are like:

-he acts really tough guy and creepy, but he's really just a softie. Kinda nervous when someone is genuine with him. He's not quite used to affection or friendship. Tends to avoid it out of guilt or fear of it going wrong so he's a bit cold at first impressions.

-tends to be really aloof, always staring off zoning out. He has bad dissociation episodes that become difficult to get out of but papyrus (or soma,,) helps bap him back to reality.

- has bad imsonia and when he sleeps its always nightmares that cause him to spiral his magic out of control at times in his room. Sometimes he has magic outbursts cause of the Crack and loss of his eye. Making it hurt when they happen at night.

- when a hunger drive hits him, he's lost all control of himself if he's starving. Especially when he's craving flesh. It's been difficult to adjust to the surface because of these so he tends to avoid humans completely and just stick to the shadows away. He does try to eat regularly when he can but the habit of being stuck underground starving for so long has him forgetting to eat sometimes

- he loves sweets! Candy, juice, fizzy soda. All sorts of drinkable soft drinks he'll get his claws on. His favorite food is also vegetables (anything with tomato is gonna be devoured lol) and seafood (courtesy of a fellow someone teaching him to fish and maybe out of spite,,).

-he likes to read in his spare time. Science fiction novels or research papers. Needs glasses to read cause that eye don't see too well so you'll catch him like some dad under a light on the couch reading.

- he likes jokes but hasn't really told any in a while. The pun love has kinda shit itself out the window over the rough years but you'll know when you real close to him when he starts cracking a bunch of puns near you. He only ever does that with people he likes and trusts.

- is very patient and a good listener. Loves hearing people he cares about talk about their day or interest. You'll catch him smiling at some point as you ramble away and he's absolutely still listening, just enthralled at how happy it makes the person to talk about things.

-will literally pick you up if your tired without second guessing to take you to the nearest couch or bed.

-very protective of others, being the oldest between his au counterparts. Horror sees sans and fell like younger versions of himself (they are tbh,, he's in his late thirties). He'll always keep an eye on them even when they try to fight other. Mostly fell when he starts it. He reminds him of papyrus when he was an Itty bitty kid so he feels big brother mode the most on fell, sans is like the middle brother he never thought he wanted. The guy makes his day with the jokes and it has horror smiling to know sand got thr good ending and fell too.

-will kill for papyrus no questions asked. That's his brother he'll protect and do his best for..

-Soma Soma Soma. Oh God Soma, what's there to say.

🌌 Sci-fi AU?

// Sci-fi isn't my favorite setting, and I don't really have much media to get ideas from that I actively watched. My knowledge of sci-fi comes mostly from big movies/series like Star Wars and Star Trek so it's gonna be a mix between the two of them I suppose ^^ Also I write these more like something like a prompt bc thats cool and gives some insight I guess? So please bear with my limited knowledge :')

Her ship is small. Nothing for a big crew. One, or at best two, people could live on it. Not a big crew. And that's how Lilli prefered it anyway. A small ship is more easily to miss, in battle as well as when escaping. And she was good enough of a pilot for it. Still, she had paid good money to have a device built in that made her small ship almost invisible. That's when she gave it it's name. 'Schatten'. Not creative, because it just meant 'Shadow' in her native language, but she found it fitting enough.

The woman set the course to the next space-station, before switching on the auto-pilot. The path she had choosen should not have any dangers on it, so it should be fine to take her eyes away for a moment. She still had to look for a job after all. While she did had some credits left, she still needed money to get fuel and supplies. Her next travel is gonna be a long one after all.

So the woman grabs her tablet, and opens up a site to check any kind of available job on the station she was heading to. She wasn't exactly picky when it came to how to earn money. At this point Lilli did any job from being a bounty hunter, to a bodyguard, smuggler, killer or even spy. And wasn't she made for some of these tasks? After a while she decides for a simple job on which she has to spy on some dude. Eh, should be fine.

Though her journey to the station will take a while still, so she had quite some time to kill. So, she switched away from the job site, after applying to the spy-task of course, and to the news from all over the galaxy. There were some articles about some big space-fight between offical goverment ships, and space pirates. Some smugglers who got caught. A new alien species has joined some union... Nothing what really interested her. But one article caught her attention. 'Another black hole has appeared! Is this the end of the universe?' Said the headline of said article. Quite the clickbait, given that, while there had been several black holes appeared recently, they had been rather small, and were able to be contained. They were right about it being strange though. Especially because they had appeared quite close to populated places. Stations, planets.

Lilli's eyes narrow as she reads the article. People only thought it was a strange natural incidence... She knows it isn't though. She has seen this before. The woman knows exactly who's doing it was. He was still on it. Trying to find a way to manipulate dark matter. And while she was sure he still hadn't found a save way to do so, he had made progress... It means she has to find him quickly, and finally end this. But he was hiding well...

She closes the pad then, and places it to the site, before staring at nothing for some time. Then she slowly raises her hand, with the palm facing up... Almost immediately a tiny version of a black hole floated just a few centimeters abover her palm. Lilli stares at it for a moment, before closing her fist around it, and suffocating it again.

He wanted to use dark matter to make the perfect weapon... Seems like he really thought that she was dead.

A sigh left her then, and the pilot went back to flying the ship after turning off the auto-pilot. She needs to get her mind off things for a big apparently...

Man idk if this is good. Her personality is a mix between main verse and vigilante AU tbh

💖What do you like most about your own writing?

I really enjoy the sort of personable way I write a characters POV/ internal dialogue! Take this snippet from “you’re my baby, say it to me” where Southgate has a clanging realisation about his future:

“He has to quit.

He sits with the thought for a minute, it’s been rattling around his head for days, shadowing him every step of the way. He knows they’ve been calling for his head back home, pundit and public alike.

He should have quit already.  

Fucking hell, he thinks, and then swigs the whole mug of whiskey in one go.”

Because that’s how people think through events. They talk in their head! They bat it around and imagine scenarios and have horrible moments of clarity. It keeps you up at night! 

From a writing perspective: it makes it easier to understand motives, to make a fic memorable plus, frankly, it’s so much fun to both write AND read as if you’re in the characters shoes. Not just watching them from the outside!

BOTH. A rough outline of what I want to go down will get plotted, plus I’ll probably spend some time mulling it about my brain to see what jumps out (or more recently, chat about on discord with likeminded folk, HELLO CARRAVILLE DISCORD, LOVE YOU 💖) 

Catch is, I think I have it plotted out and then fuck me, this is taking a turn isn’t it? Whoosh, out goes the plan and in come the vibes. So, swing and a miss tbh. This has happened with all 3 fics I’ve published so far…! 

Like “Amensalism” started life as something else, in fact the section where Southgate dreams about Harry agreeing to letting him care for him was the first part I wrote. It was meant to be much much much more bleak and grim for Harry.

💭 What is a headcanon you have about your own work?

That it is painfully obvious that I am English and grew up on British comedy 😔🇬🇧🍺💷

 I think it was Sara (@storyshark2005) who asked in the comment of “i thought maybe we could kiss tonight” if I was British because of my dialogue I’d given Jamie!!! I actually quite love being able to flag that sort of regional U.K. dialogue with words/phrases. Think it puts a nice stamp on the work and also makes me feel I can do a decent job at fleshing out characters. 

👀 Do you have any WIPs that you would never let see the light of day? If yes, what are they about?

I think I want this WIP to see the light of day BUT it’s probably the most unsavoury and grim thing I’ve written. I’m not sure how many people would want to imagine it, let alone read it. Anyway, as mentioned above, I totally intended Amensalism to be a much more bleak and nasty fic. I literally dubbed it “SouthKane Misery AU” when writing it as a draft header. 

And then I realised actually where I wanted to go with this. Let’s just say it’s slowly becoming more “Dead Dove: Do Not Eat” then I care to admit. 

Here is a snippet of it.

NB: warnings for abandonment, unhealthy relationship, and BDSM. Probably rate this section as a hard T, so nothing explicit. Sorry don’t know how to describe this more specifically but you’ll know fairly quickly if you want to touch this or not. Behind a read more it goes:

“Come on Harry, it’s not difficult” He tugs his hair sharply “Be a good boy now”

“P-please, please I’m sorry, boss, please-“ he chokes on a sob. 

It’s exceedingly easy to get Harry to cry, that’s not a problem necessarily, quite the opposite. But Gareth is almost suprised it’s this easy to start seeing cracks in him - he’s a ugly crier, lips pulled up high, nose and eyes streaming, blotchy red face. 

However, tears means he’s making progress.

“All you have to do is let go, I’m not sure why that’s so hard for you” Another tug, another sob. 

“I-I’m not a dog” he croaks out “Boss, please, Gareth -“

Defiance and using his name? Christ, can’t even piss outside without making a huge deal about it. Gareth tuts, it’s a shame really, two steps forward and one step back. 

Still, nothing a night outside in the stables can’t fix. 

He lets go of Harry hair, turns on his heel and locks the door.

Gareth finds he’s almost tempted to flick the heating on, it’s gotten chilly this morning, a welcome reprieve after a week of hot afternoons and muggy evenings. Woven silk threads are scattered across the grass, coated in dew, glinting in the dappled sunlight from the trees. He couldn’t ask for a better a view out over the window by the kitchen sink. It’s times like this hes especially glad for the house, even if it needs constant matience and having to wrangle around the council if he wants to do anything. But a Quick Look at the vistas outside and all is forgiven.

Speaking of. 

He grabs a bowl from the cabinet, filling it with tap water, and pulls a banana off from the bunch in the fruit bowl. He’ll give Harry something a bit more substantial once he’s inside and got him to ask for it nicely. It’s finding the right balance that’s tricky, he does love him, honest, even after everything. 

But that doesn’t mean he’s above correcting Harry when he goes wrong. 

As he opens the door, the cold nips at Gareth, that’s a little bit fresher than he was expecting to be. Well, he’s not a monster, he throws the dogs blanket over his shoulder. He pulls on his outdoor shoes he keeps by the door and walks across to the stables, the dawn chorus starting to wind down to make way for the rest of the day. 

A quick turn of the key in the lock and he is greeted by Harry blearily staring up at him from the floor. He’s hit by the stench of piss and body odour as he step inside, a dark puddle shaped stain on the concrete beneath Harry.

He puts the bowl and banana down in front of Harry, bending down as he reaches round to click open the lock on his wrists and is taken a back by how grimy Harry feels, specks of dirt and dust covering his goose flesh skin. His skin blossoming under different shades of pink and red, the chill slowly creeping around his body. 

Not a peep from Harry. No crying, no whinging, no sharp comments. It’s lovely. Gareth can’t resist indulging him with a kiss to his temple, he’s done so well, wrapping the blanket round his shoulders. 

“You ready to be nice and listen to me now, sweetheart?”

Harry manages a shallow nod, his hands shaking as he tugs the blanket right around him. 

“Good boy, have a drink and I’ll feed you after”

Hello, I’m one of the contestants of the AU Sonic Smackdown, @delightrolls, the creator of the Sonic Thunderstorm AU. I was trying to decide who to vote for between you and @chopp-6467, but the decision is proving to be difficult. Would you kindly tell me more about your Evil Sonic AU? Anything and everything you feel comfortable sharing about your phenomenal story! And if you want some more specific questions I would like to ask:

Is there anything that could convince Sonic that what he is doing is wrong or change his worldview?

Is there anyone on Sonic’s side after Tails leaves him?

Does Sonic ever manage to lure anyone else over to his side like Shadow?

What does Sonic intend to do to change the world? Assert a Totalitarianistic government? Kill anyone they deem as rotten? Something else entirely?

How did the Master Emerald go missing? Are the Chaos Emeralds also missing?

Why did Sonic’s “friends” betray him? Was it for him now being blue? For his Superspeed? For something else completely?

Do Sonic and Tails’ robots look like Badniks or like something else?

Holy crap, I am SO sorry for the late answer, i had school n' other stuff, fu--

Anyways, yea, for the questions- I don't think Sonic will be changing his view on the world any time soon, but if there was anyone to try and attempt to convince him once more, it would either be Amy or Robotnik, but other than that, he just doesn't want to listen to anyone since he's too far gone at that point when Tails isn't there anymore.

-question 2: Yea, no, there's no one there for him when Tails leaves, but he eventually makes a Metal Tails, maybe even make some Metal versions of the rest if he ever felt like it.

-question 3: When he means by taking over the world and 'changing it into a better place' that is straight up Eggman behavior, lmfao. If anything, he mostly wants **revenge (sorry) against the world and make it his own so that there would be no one there to stop him if that time was ever to come, and because of his bias towards the world, he wouldn't hesitate to attack innocents by then.

-question 4: The Master Emerald didn't exactly go missing, more like.. it's there, it's just that Sonic will do anything to get it, and once he gets the power from the Master Emerald, he wouldn't hesitate to take it out of Angel Island with the power of his machines if he succeeded. But, as for the Chaos Emeralds, they are in this universe, they're just currently scattered, but Sonic could care less about the Chaos Emeralds since he only wants the Master Emerald, It contains the ultimate power, so of course he would go for the big and shiny and more powerful Emerald. This right here, will eventually become a huge problem for Sonic later on! :P

-question 5: Sonic's friends were fake friends from the start, so eventually, they were going to leave him behind at some point when he was still a normal hedgehog with super speed, because they saw him as a really annoying and hyperactive hedgehog to them. But once he broke the sound barrier, you could say that they were secretly jealous in a way and picked on him, and soon, left him behind. Sorry if i wasn't too specific with this part ^^'

-question 6: As for the badniks, it's pretty much just your regular badniks like the ones you see in the og Sonic games (For example: Buzzbombers, Motobugs, crabmeats, etc), but I have been thinking about maybe making some custom ones just for this AU, so far I can only come up with 1 which I forgot the name of, but i think i have it saved somewhere in my gallery, idk though.

Okay soo I’m procrastinating like five other things I should be doing right now- mostly school work- but I’ve been having many thoughts about a grishaverse/aftg crossover au and I needed to get them all out so

-Neil as Alina, obviously. Non-negotiable. He would be the overpowered MC if there was magic in aftg and we all know it

-obviously in the books, alina does not have a family that we know of, but in my little au, Nathan works for the Ravka gov and Mary gives up Neil bc she can tell he’s gonna be a powerful grisha I guess? I don’t care that that’s not really a thing, it is now

-anyway- Andrew is Mal. I’ve talked extensively about how similar I think Mal and Andrew are as characters, especially in the way that they are both so protective over the people they care about, to the point of being self-sacrificial but they cannot cope with someone doing the same for them, in fact both of them get angry with their significant others for attempting to ‘save’ them. I also think for both of them, this behaviour stems from seeing themselves as less than the people around the, we see it more obviously with Mal but I think Andrew is the same

-so in this au Andrew and neil are childhood friends, they grow up together in the orphanage and stuff. I haven’t thought much about fitting aaron and nicky into this so they may just be not related in the au tbh

-the two of them join the second army as we know- Andrew as a tracker and Neil as a junior cartographer- and during an attempted crossing of the fold, neil’s summoner powers reveal themselves

-in the books, prior to using her powers, alina is described as pale, sallow, sickly-looking, generally unattractive, and we discover that this sick appearance is caused by her suppressing her powers. Anyway, I think that prior to using his powers, neil has very dull blue eyes and his hair is more brown than auburn but afterwards we get the bright blue eyes and auburn hair Andrew is obsessed with

-the darkling is kevin btw- originally I had him as Ichirou but wrote myself into a whole I couldn’t get out of so evil kevin it is

-ichirou is Vasily, and riko is nikolai, the king is kengo and annoyingly in aftg riko’s mother is not named so we’re sticking with Tatiana

-back to kevin- I debated between abi and Kaleigh for a while but I’m gonna go with Kaleigh as Baghra just because I love her and I get more creative freedom with her personality. Wymack is ilya so he’s dead, soz

-we also get the absolute joy of Andrew, kevin, riko, and Ichirou fighting over neil despite neil being madly in love with Andrew and not even realising it

-even though alina was somewhat reckless about the amplifiers she was still wary of the risks and such, I think neil would be far more reckless, I don’t think he would has hesitated as much to kill the stag or the water serpent and instead the issue would be kevin’s men being closer behind them than they’d thought and catching up at the last second

-I don’t think anything would have slowed neil down once he’d set his sights on the goal of collect all three amplifiers and destroy the fold, he would have been non stop going and dragging Andrew along with him, up until he realises he has to kill Andrew at which point everything comes to a crashing halt

-neil would be much less willing to believe it, he would be convinced Andrew had made a mistake and there was still a firebird out there somewhere, just denying it and denying it and denying it until he physically can’t anymore, and once he’d accepted Andrew was the amplifiers he’d be helplessly looking for other ways that didn’t involve him dying up until the last second. Even then, I think Andrew would be doing the majority of the work towards neil killing him.

-the last battle of siege and storm would just be neil in a haze of rage and grief, absolutely merciless because Andrew was always the voice of reason, the one to stop him from going too far, but he can’t anymore because andrews Dead

-I think the aftermath, where neil finds out that andrew’s been brought back to life would a haze as well. He doesn’t quite believe it’s real but also it has to be because he doesn’t know what he’d do with himself if it wasn’t. it’s neil’s idea to fake his death, not to protect his egacy but to keep Andrew safe, to start again somewhere knew

-if you thought they were codependent and attached at the hip in aftg, it is nothing compared to how they act post andrew’s resurrection

-yeah, sometimes neil misses his power, missing the feeling of being invincible, but he’d rather never have that again then even risk losing andrew’s presence by his side

-I still have not read rule of wolves/king of scars so pls don’t talk to me abt that

-I will maybe add more in the future, especially of the middle of the trilogy because I mostly just hit the beginning and end

Joongdok Mercenary x Witch AU : a quick summary and excerpt

Tales coaxed in song and whispers and the lyrics of a half-tone bard. A mercenary in his midnight armour and heavenly demon sword, roaming the lands with a Witch cursed eye. Slaying monsters for a coin and the tail of a forgotten name.

The barkeep trembled in the corner, eyes darting around as she approached the hunched figure in shadows.

“Your ale, sir,” she said, dropping the heavy glass onto the table.

Dark eyes peered up at her, the slighest flash of gold trembled her hands. Silver flipped into them and she almost dropped it in surprise but instincts held true and she traced her fingers across the blemished but shiny surface. A whole silver coin. Her heart thudded heavier. He nodded and she nodded back, quickly retreating to behind the bar.

An undying merc chased by the kingdom? Fine with her so long as he paid.

These are tales of Yoo Joonghyuk the Cursed. A monster-slaying mercenary chased around by the Star Kingdom for whatever God given reason they’re spewing. He doesn’t care all too much, he just wanted to find the Witch who won't let him die.

Excerpt (this is pretty much the ending LMAO but its the only thing I’ve written tbh):

“But weren’t you happy?” the Witch of the End asked, face crestfallen. Shoulders tensed up almost to his ears and arms wrapped around himself. His heavy white sleeves falling down to reveal thin hands and thinner wrists. Looking always like the world was about to strike him down and he’d let it. Still the same as ever.

“Of course,” Yoo Joonghyuk answered, taking another step forward.

The Witch moved back again. He spat out, “Don’t you hate me then? For taking you away from your happiness? For that stupid, foolish curse I cast upon you?”

“No.”

“Liar. How could you not? For I am the Witch of the End, the watcher of the Oldest Dream.”

“I don’t hate you,” Yoo Joonghyuk said. “For I am love. The creation of love, the willing bearer of its curse, the undying and the devotion.”

“Why?” the Witch of the End finally whispered, tears falling down his face. “Why for someone like me?”

Yoo Joonghyuk smiled and watched as the Witch became dazed, eyes widening and mouth falling open. Always so shocked at affection. This foolish, lovable star.

Yoo Joonghyuk thought to himself: Of course, there were a million reasons to love the Witch. The way he talked, the twitch in his eyebrow, the distant gaze as he thought, the way he smiled. Yoo Joonghyuk could explain how endeared he was with the way the Witch read books, hoarded them like the worst of dragons but they’re never tomes of magic or priceless knowledge, simply the stories where he liked the protagonist. Else he could talk about the long gone memories they held together of just them or them and the world. That bright beautiful happiness and lifetime they shared. There were a million reasons Yoo Joonghyuk could say and none of them would matter. They could all vanish and he would still love this man before him. Because, in the end, does love deserve a reason? Is it still love if it does?

“Why not?” He answered easily and lifted his hand up to cup the Witch’s face, thumbs brushing away those pearly tears. He pressed a kiss against his brow and then another against closed eyelids. Said at last, “Why not for someone like you?”

“Idiot,” Kim Dokja, the Witch of the End, cried.

Just wondering... have you ever thought of what would have happened if the Evil Queen was never able to find Snow White and thus was alive to raise Eva?

Would Snow White try to find a way to get her sister in order to keep her safe in case the Queen tries to kill her as well?

Would Eva be raised to care about being the fairest, just like her mom or would she just want to be the most powerful at doing magic?

Would the Queen harm her biological daughter if Eva was prettier?

Would Eva end up good?

Ahhh an interesting question! (Also sorry it took so long to answer :s )

Tbh I think that what would most likely happen is that the Queen would ignore Eva overall, treating her better then Snow as she's her biological daughter which tied her to the throne (and enabled her to access Andalasia's natural magic in my DisneyVerse) and just planning on using her as a useful political bargaining chip. She might teach her a tiny bit of magic but she has no interest in having an sort of rival to her power.

Eva would be raised by nurses and governess with all the privileges of royalty but she would feel lonely and desperate to please her mother, and would likely try and enhance both her beauty and magic as she can see the Queen values these things and she thinks its a way to gain her attention--which like, it is but not in a good way

Snow would definitely be trying to find a way to save her sister from the Queen once she's more settled herself and has gained some more allies as she'd definitely want to reclaim her kingdom one day.

(My Snow in personal a mix of the canon animated Snow with her sweetness and good nature and that hint of sassiness that also grows into the calucating and brave leader Snow we see in OUAT cuz I thought they actually did good with her in the early seasons)

Eva meanwhile in this scenario is probably in a pre-evil Regina situation where she loves her mother but is starting to realize she needs to get away from her for her own safety(I feel like she'd probably always lean towards good in most AU's as thats her base, even in the actual Descendants movies she wasn't very wicked or even vain tbh).

I think the Queen would honestly try and steal both Eva's magic and beauty for her own if not outright just kill her too if she thought she'd become a big enough threat to her power, but first she'd just try and control her and marry her off to the person who'd give her the greatest advantage in politics, which likely wouldn't be anyone Eva would really like.

(Honestly this would probably go the way of this really good OUAT fic i read but can't remember the name of where Cora was Snow's Wicked Stepmother and she and Regina were raised as sisters and Regina helped Snow's rebellion from the shadows while pretending to help Cora and in the end they're reunited as sisters xD )

When Roman wins—when he kills the guy, he doesn’t notice the blood splattering onto his shoes. A few days later, when he had lied to his parents about getting a nosebleed and buried the dead man whose name he could not remember, he told himself that it had been too dark. Furthermore, it had been too dark to notice the fact that his…opponent… had stopped breathing; that his singular open eye stared out at the world without movement or life. 

Right afterwards, with his opponent on the ground and very thoroughly dispatched, Ranboo hadn’t felt a lick of guilt. He had been happy, even, and had to fight down the urge to do a little victory dance right there at the murder scene. The fucker had hit him good right where another bruise was just about to heal up, and the pain told him that it was going to be hurting for a very long time. Right on his waist, too, so Roman wouldn’t be able to turn or sit without feeling it. As payback, once Roman had gotten him on the ground, he’d pulled his head up by the hair and slammed it back down as hard as he could. 

The first time, his whole body had spasmed underneath Roman’s hand, and he’d tried to push himself back up, blood dripping out of his nose and into the grass. Roman stood, kicked one arm out from under the stranger to send him tumbling back onto the ground, and put one foot on his back, pressing the full force of his weight into him. And kicked him in the head one too many times, with the thought that if he had to deal with stomach pain all week, the other guy better have a worse headache.

In the moment, he had ranted about this or that, but all Ranboo could recall now, lying in his bed, was the soaring sense of power. In between swings, Roman had caught glimpses of the man’s eyes. His pupils were focused entirely on him, watching his every move. Commanding somebody’s attention like that was one of the best things about fighting. He had been king in the forest, a giant among men and a victor of the world.  It was a wonderful experience. Ranboo got to go out and make himself important, to claw respect out of the mouths of those who thought they were better than him and come away feeling capable of anything. This time, though, the feeling soured in his stomach as time went on, and his victim didn’t get back up to walk it off.

Ranboo still felt sick back at home, like he was waiting on a hit. He felt nauseous too, although that could’ve been from the bruising. In the darkness of the hallway, Ranboo’s mind drew the silhouette of the man he killed and buried. It went away for a bit if he blinked, but eventually the shape of a pretty average guy—shorter than him, roundish rectangle, basic haircut—formed out of the dark. He couldn’t be certain, but the shadow moved closer when he blinked too. 

Well, Ranboo couldn’t stay up all night, and if whoever he’d killed (Ranboo couldn’t remember the name) was alive and back for revenge, he’d prefer to die in his sleep. 

The murderer turned over and tried to find rest. He did not.

and tbh roman IS really mean at the start of the au anyways and he did get a sick thrill out of beating the guy and only really started thinking once he got home so it's not that far off ^^^^^^^
