Not whatever I was trying to do before asking for help #I guess this counts as my first *real* animation so hooray!#I *might* use some of the remaining prompts for future drawings but at this point I have other things I want to work on #even though I was only able to finish a few of these I felt like I still learned a lot #it definitely got me into the habit of drawing every day #and I'm still doing that so this event was a big win in my book!#and no joke I really did color pick from the load cursor just so I could do the silly spinning thing

no but really, I think it fits him really well! I had thought his UM would probably involve something kinda sleight-of-handy or pickpockety! and I looooved that it made such a nice loop-around back to episode 1. ❤️ I was. kind of half-expecting him to just run out and punch Riddle in the nose again. but instead this time 'twas he who offed the queen's head! it was great! and he did it while stone-cold terrified out of his mind! because Ace is the only remotely normal or well-adjusted person at NRC and therefore the only one who is like "we're going to literally die, this is super effed up". but he did it anyway!!!! I AM SO PROUD

Phantomish Rogues

Team Phantom get ripped from their home universe into the DCverse. With no money or real ID's in this world. Now thats a problem.

Another big problem is that Danny is badly injured and his core kinda put him into a deep cryo sleep. He needs to rest and gather ectoplasm.

Bigger problem Team Phantom have no clue how to get home because they don't know how to decode the Fenton Portal blue-prints, not even Jazz who at the time didn't pay attention to her parents portal work anymore by the time they finished it. The only one who does have an idea is Danny!

Biggest problem, they landed in a place called Gotham that seems to be overrun with actual villains and heroes? (vigilantes). And for some odd reason many of them seem to find them no matter where the Team goes to hide.

Until they can get their hands on a safe space, tech, and money, Team Phantom might have to go a bit Rogue/Villainous if they wanna keep Danny safe until he wakes up.

So, maybe taking Pariah’s crown was a bad idea, but he had meant it as a “rubbing salt in the wound” thing, not a “I want your power” thing. Now, he had been having trouble with his abilities being too strong and unpredictable along with new ones developing.

Luckily, his parents thought he was a meta. Unluckily, they were sending him to his great aunt and great uncle’s farm to learn how to control it. Apparently their son had had similar issues?

All Danny could hope was that he didn’t accidentally destroy the Kent’s farm.

Like flipping over an embroidered tapestry!#Some people thinks it ruins the illusion of what a story is - to me it *elevates* the experience to see the seams.#It's like knowing how they did the practical effects and stunts in a movie. Here is the finished version of my smaller & simplified Hierophant embroidery design! It measures 3.5 inches wide rather than 6.25 like my larger and more complex pattern, and I tried a different color palette for the background to bring it closer to the original card. It's still not perfect but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

This pattern takes a lot less time than the bigger one, so is more approachable. Both these patterns and my other designs will be available in my new etsy store as I finish writing out instructions and uploading them :)

This finished piece will also be for sale for anyone interested, and I am taking limited embroidery commissions for now.

i know everyone said 'replies from sideblogs could go bad' though personally i was excited for them (for topic specific sideblog running purposes) but i do think we should be able to send asks from sideblogs too tbh. it could also get exceptionally ugly very fast but i think that for all the topic-specific blogs like ask blogs, for systems who have headmates with diff sideblogs, and for people who want to make friends in smaller communities focused on niche topics unrelated to their main i feel like it would be worth it

#besides its not like IMPOSSIBLE to find someones main blog from their side #it typically just takes some sleuthing #and like you can block sideblogs anyway . if im not mistaken blocking a sideblog also blocks the main acct...?#so if someone wanted to make like multiple burners to harrass someone i dont even think taht would work #theyd have to make entirely new tumblr accts with brand new gmails #im open to conversation though there might be something im not thinking about #txt #scratchpost

taking a course run by someone I largely disagree with has been so interesting, because it's made me aware that I already have all these solidified options. I thought I was an empty cup waiting to be filled. but it turns out my cup is already so full that if you try to pour more in it just sloshes right out.

probably a lot of my opinions are bad and/or subjective, but still. the prof was saying that you need to do a ton of character study work BEFORE you write your book (you need to know where they grew up! their hobbies! their favourite meal!), but I was just sitting there thinking.......isn't it more fun to have the character come to life as you write? so that you're as surprised as the reader when they whip out something new? like obviously you have to do a lot of back-editing to makes things consistent, but it's definitely an option. and it can be freeing to people who get paralyzed by all the prep work to say "just write whatever, and fix it up later."

I dunno, I feel like the most important thing is to actually write, and after that, no matter how janky it is, you have something that can be polished up and shaped. just my opinion!!! sorry for any controversy!

#obviously the prep work is important for some people #and if you struggle with three dimensional characters then it might be good homework at least #but for me a lot of the time I don't even know the character's name until it becomes relevant in the scene #though I havent even debuted my first book yet so maybe I shouldn't be acting like an authority
