#neo twewy#neo the world ends with you#ntwewy#twewy#the world ends with you#shoka sakurane#my art#the girl of all time...#i love shoka. so much. she's probably my favorite neo character#i think her demeanor is interesting and i like how it reflects a lot of her former struggles and insecurities#like how she places little value on her life and how she isn't used to being taken seriously or being appreciated#and also how. similar to rindo. she felt directionless before she discovered an artist/brand to look up to#also there's her psyche. telewarp#i think a lot of the character's psyches are kind of clear in their interpretation#like fret's arc involves rediscovering himself and learning to be more genuine#and his psyche is remind. like how he needs to remind himself of his own identity#but i've seen a lot of different interpretations for shoka's psyche (which is to say. the “true” meaning is less clear)#i've seen some people discuss how telewarp could indicate that she killed herself by falling from a high place#my interpretation was that it's just because she's constantly moving. both figuratively and literally#she moves from biological family to shinjuku reapers to the wicked twisters#she moves from shinjuku to shibuya#and from rindo's perspective. she moves from an online space to real life#also all of these changes are kind of a “rebirth” of who she is as a person#which ties into her connection with phoenix cantus too#so. yknow! just some food for thought

#jjba#jjba part 8#jjba jojolion#jojolion#jojo's bizarre adventure#yasuho hirose#my art#this was originally a doodle from a chemistry class#that i later digitally painted over#back in october !#i had pretty much just finished reading jojolion at the time#i love yasuho... she's probably one of my favorite characters from the part#but really i love the entire jojolion cast honestly#jojolion's my favorite jjba part just in general actually#it explores similar themes to part 7 but while i think part 7 is better/more refined on a technical level#jojolion has a lot of charm to it#and i really like how it explores its themes#and how it expands on some of the ideas originally introduced in part 7#but yeah !#the style i used for this drawing was inspired by THE_LAUTKA's style#you should check out their art sometime! they have a twitter and youtube :O

Guess who's been getting into KH lately
#kh#kingdom hearts#riku#riku kh#my art#i am so unnecessarily nervous to post this because i've never posted art for a game i was in the process of playing before#but anyway yeah!! i played kh1 for the first time fairly recently#i beat it around two weeks ago i think#since then it has been plaguing my mind#i have a lot of fun (just in general) latching onto dialogue designs etc and analyzing them#and there is so much to kh that i've been driving myself crazy thinking about it#i have written so much about destiny trio dynamics and what i think yellow represents in the designs like#i have been very not normal about this lately#i got com yesterday and i'm still in the beginning stages#i'm going through agrabah rn. next is halloweentown then monstro#saving monstro for last because i am anxious to see how that is handled. will riku be there (probably not)#i am so worried about sora lowkey#he keeps getting complexes and told he isn't worth anything without his friends#and all the self-sacrificial stuff too#and NOW his memories are gradually being removed from him#there's more to it but those are the main points i've been rotating in my mind.......#anyway yeah back to the gaming realm i go for now. see ya

#the world ends with you#neo the world ends with you#neo twewy#ntwewy#fuya kawahara#my art#okay so THIS nobody's birthday is on pi day but minamimoto's isn't? i see how it is...#jokes aside. i think fuya acts as an interesting foil to rindo#he ultimately fails because he's unable to properly lead his team. he just kind of expects everyone to show up#and doesn't (to our knowledge) put in the effort to understand and accommodate for his team's needs#this is in contrast to how at the end of the game rindo is able to work with his whole team#and even more people than that#to make a miracle happen#so i think fuya is a good look at how rindo could've ended up#if he didn't smoothen out his leadership+relationship skills and grow a backbone#that being said. while fuya is narratively interesting from that view#he isn't that memorable of a character#in terms of characterization i overall find him lacking#but idk. maybe there are some real fuya enthusiasts out there that like to read between the lines of his character#i am sadly not a part of that group (but i would love to hear from them!)#anyway. i kinda wonder about birthdays in the ug#do reapers players etc celebrate holidays (birthdays included)? or do their duties keep them occupied?#imagine being in the game loop from neo and watching the days and months pass#unable to celebrate any holiday. party with any friend. just eat good food and relax#at that point erasure would be better than continuing on#i like to think that a small amount of time at least is made for special occasions. a cupcake for a birthday before the next mission

#twewy spoilers#twewy#the world ends with you#twewy fanart#sanae hanekoma#my art#for the past few character birthday drawings i've been sharing my opinions on the characters themselves#for this one i would like to share the drawing process#you can probably already tell it was a bit different...!#so. honestly. i had no clue as to how i should draw hanekoma#i have always had a strong association between him and the higher plane#in the two years between me first playing twewy and me replaying twewy#i actually kinda forgot that he was a barista? but i remembered everything from the secret reports#which is to say: to me he is very much an Angel with a capital 'A'#so i struggled to find a specific manner to draw him in#the composition i ultimately decided upon was like...#hanekoma leaning in towards the viewer with the airbrush. exactly like in this finished drawing. “hanekoma birthday” and everything#underneath the “hanekoma birthday” the date was written: “3.3.2025”#above hanekoma's head was a coffee cup. spilling out of it was a liquid composed of a lot of different CAT artworks from the game#specifically the mural and the six planets#the liquid divided his face into two for kind of a “two face” look#and the two sides represented his noise form#the liquid also covered the first “3” in the date to allude to the fact that in the japanese version of the game his birthday#is on the 4th of march instead of the 3rd of march like in the international release#ALL of this to say. this initial plan was extremely complicated#when i finally finished drawing hanekoma. i wanted to also draw a background#and by the time i was done with the background i realized that the initial composition was indeed too complicated#such a bummer! right?#anyway! that's all for my silly rambles for now#i will be seeing you all in a few days with something entirely different :)c

#blood#jjba#jjba part 5#jjba golden wind#jjba vento auero#jojo's bizarre adventure#vinegar doppio#doppio jjba#my art#this was drawn around mid-october#at the time i remember feeling weirdly depressed#i just didn't feel motivated to do much of anything#it was rather late at night when i found myself at a crossroads:#draw doppio or go to sleep#i wound up drawing doppio haha#i remember after i finished drawing this i was just kinda. filled with regrets#i look at this drawing now and i actually really like it#i think this is the best drawing i've ever created of doppio#i really like the vibes i've got going on here#i was listening to bon jovi's 'slippery when wet' while drawing this#and honestly 'social disease' is such a doppio song. in my personal humble opinion#i think doppio's a really interesting character but admittedly#i kind of dislike how often he is framed as this totally innocent guy#that is just haunted and possessed by The Curse (Diavolo)#because we really don't know much about the guy#what we do know is that he (like an onion) has a lot of layers#he can act cutesy and innocent but he can also be quite cruel and kind of immature#there's a lot of nuance to his character that i think gets swept under the rug#in an effort to make diavolo seem like the one true antagonist of the part#but those are just my thoughts!
