IT'S JUST SO...!! savior's wardrobe scrubbed clean of her original culture and preferences #replaced with the foreign garments of her captor's nations.....in line with this. i love how her kokoshnik and khaenri'ahn earrings are big #and attention-grabbing. you can't look at her without taking note of those accessories. it begs the question:: how many times has savior #looked at the mirror after being dressed up in snezhnaya and was unable to recognize her own reflection?? :'>#also shoutout to some details aine shared with me: 1) the face marks are inspired by weeping angels 2) the kokoshnik was traditionally worn #by married noblewomen BUT the veil was normally for unmarried women so savior's outfit can be seen as a form of compliance + rebellion #(though later on in history it became accepted for married women to also wear that veil. also my apologies if what i said is inaccurate)#lastly shoutout to savior's expression!! very poised and mysterious....due to her emotional state or pierro's rules on how to act as his #spouse in public?? we'll never know~ the first drawing hits even harder when you compare it to the next one!! such an interesting contrast~#savior in her plain attire. casual and domestic with a smile on her face....i'm guessing this is her pre-fatui version?? she looks so warm #and friendly. and i can definitely understand why pierro fell for her smile <3 #also i fucking love the caption. sorry pierro but you are cursed to be a loser/ simp/ pathetic man in all of my fics and AUs xD #NOW ONTO GODDESS! This took about 40 hours, give or take a few

#I can tell you one thing #Embroidering while having arthritis is really not a piece of cake. When you hand cramps just by holding it at an angle.#At least I can be grateful for my empty schedule #Makes embroidering till the sun rises back up so much easier #Insomnia also helps with this task #I was listening to the ost while working on it and… Live reaction #Occupied turf is so good actually !? Why wasn’t it shown more often !? IT’S FIRE !?#I forgot I only did a pacifist so I got so confused when neutral Flowey came out…#A mother’s love ? Should’ve called this “I’m gonna fuck you up”#The number of time I got my ass handed back to me in this fight is not even funny #The first time is great. The second I only discern my favorites and the sudden change in style. By the third loop I can’t recognize shit #my brain is melting and my eyes are on fire…#Advantages on doing it during daytime. Eyes hurt less. Good stupid tv to listen to in the background Disadvantages. People #Advantages on doing it at night. Alone. Personally work better at night #Disadvantages. No good TV. What was the moment/scene that officially cemented you as a Sontails shipper? Or was it multiple?

Ah good question!

So if you've seen my sontails/sonine posting you've probably heard the story of me getting into sontails (no worries if you haven't)

Just to summarize, my journey started with Sonine and Movie!Sontails. The Grim scene in S1 E6 of Prime and the entire bar scene in Movie 2 just blasted me with second hand embarrassment (the good kind) that (despite me being eh about shipping them at that time) made be seriously go "Okay if just brothers why are these scenes directed this way". Sonic's feelings aside, I felt I knew in those moments that Nine and movie!Tails had possibly been written to have a subtextual crush on Sonic, and strong feelings in general. This was...my gateway.

But an "officially cemented" moment is a bit hard for me to specifically narrow down. I can tell you that by the time I'd been checking the Sonine tag after starting S2 of Prime and finished S2 I had to come to terms with the fact that I genuinely saw something there between the two of them (and was feeling frustrated that no one else was seemingly seeing it). At that point I'd settled as "I like Sonine but that doesn't mean I have to like all of Sontails".

Then I rewatched movie 2 a couple times and had to (similarly) come to terms with the fact that I was genuinely frustrated to not really see other people commenting on what I'd seen as potential subtext regarding Movie!Tails' feelings and that I liked this version as well.

So my gateway into Sontails was Prime and Sonic Movie 2, but accepting I liked most versions of Sontails/Sontails in general and not just a few specific versions was a bit of a slow journey. All I can say is that by the time I finished playing Colors Ultimate and got well into the Archie comics I knew I enjoyed Sontails just as much as I had come to enjoy Sonine, and was equally as obsessed with the dynamics.

I can't say eepy around pre-schoolers this semester, they're gonna think it's an actual word that normal people use

#but like. it does sound like a babytalk word. i dont babytalk the kids but we do use babytalk words #work starts up again for me the 6th. im excited to see the kids again ngl :3 #the older ones went off to kindergarten but im still going to recognize most of the kids. i hope they had a good summer #i wannq make them little backpack charms i think. im thinking of making stars #but idk how many kids are gonna be there yet. and i want them to be all the same cause i dont want kids fighting over them yaknow #theyre like 3-5 years old they're gonna fight over backpack charms. and im gonna avoid the plastic clips i usually use cause i dont want-#-the kids to accidentally break them. gotta sew it super secure so if the kids are like me when i was a kid and start impulse cutting things #- they won't be completely destroyed. and no plastic saftey eyes cause those can be a choking hazard #im having thoughts today because im trying to distract myself from the scary things i gotta do today and tomorrow #(getting my license renewed and classes starting tomorrow)#its not. as scary as my body thinks it is and i know that. but i cant control my animal brain being threatened by new things

Went to a Car Meet today

Saw some awesome asf cars (like a Pagani Huayra ??? Wtf that thing is like 3.5 Mio and limited to 100 cars?? Insane)

Almost immediately accidentally picked beef with the owner of a Bumblebee by stating that Barricade is the much cooler car

actually yeah, i think ghost can’t stand to look at his face ever because he doesn’t recognize himself.

it’s been years since simon first regularly wore the mask and he just,, doesn’t remember. it’s always a shock to see it again after so long, relearning the scars and marks along his skin and staring in the mirror for so long he doesn’t look human anymore. stares so long his face starts morphing in front of him, his eyes look bigger, mouth downturning into a swirl. he pulls and stretches at the skin making sure everything is still real, and pulls the mask back on.

every couple of months the process will repeat, and every couple of months, simon decides his eyes are still the only thing he can handle.

#ghost is probably also one of those people that have practiced expressions in the mirror for so long he knows exactly what face he’s making #except now he can only remember what his eyes look like at any given moment and maybe a trace of his mouth #i’m just rambling #once again: me 🤝 simon #this is based on both me high staring for too long not recognizing myself AND me completely sober staring to the point of hatred #call of duty #cod mw22 #simon ghost riley #hc

so when i was a teen i was like, very alt, very punk, like eyeball-deep in the local music scene (this would continue for the next decade), i was NOT a scholar by any stretch and quite frankly hated academics. and my friend introduced me to this band and it ended up being one of my favorites for years.

well i was talking to my friend who's into a bad that was big back in that day and i was like ahhh yes.... i remember those days.... neon and crust and studded leather.... and i listed off some bands, and remembered that one i had liked for so long. i went and looked it up and spotted the album i remembered the most, and gave it a listen and well

it would seem ive always been this way. apparently

#the older i get the more i realize that my life has been this strange paradoxical orobouros of self #one day i decided i would stop moulding myself to other's likings bc dulling my edges only helped those ppl hurt me #thus re-embracing a part of myself i'd learned to be ashamed of. and it was incredibly liberating #and then i realized it was my destiny to be a mortician #and i was sooooooooo afraid to tell ppl bc i was sure they'd be weirded out #but every person i told was like OHHHHH ok yes that makes complete sense. that's perfect #and the more i thought about it the more i was astonished it had taken me so long to figure that out lol #and realizing that i really am by nature a scientist has been really liberating too. i hate that my class bracket prevented me from #discovering that bc i was working all the time for a decade and had no time to explore myself or my interests or anything #and i honestly always thought i was stupid.... because of other people lol #and once i let go of other people's treatment of me as the lens through which i view myself #i realized #oh.... i'm a scary and smart little freak. huh #and i started living true-to-myself and it's been super fun and rewarding and ive never been happier #but like... i kept thinking. wow who could have ever seen this coming! this must seem like such a stark turn for the outside eye #like now that i finally recognize myself... others probably dont #and then i revisited this band and went #ah #no #im just oblivious #ive literally always been like that. even when i didn't know what it was or what it was like. just completely blind to a destiny that is no #SO crystal clear that it's changed how i see the world and myself and the way i live #crazy
