I Feel Bad For Starlo. (pt. 10)

(so excited to be back to this series)

Starlo's really emotional but he doesn't know how to deal with emotions. He doesn't try reaching out to his family to sort things out with them. He doesn't directly comfort Ceroba and instead uses the same coping mechanism on her like he does on himself (escapism).

But you still, even after months of me making the "I Feel Bad For Starlo" series, can't convince me he's the only one who made a mistake during the WE segment. Attacking Clover and trying to kill them so he'd gain status WAS on him but what I truly wished to know was WHY things had turned out the way they had turned out (aka the Feisty Five splitting up).

Star refuses to accept that his lifelong dream had been a lie. He refuses to accept that his excessive love for westerns and the human culture had been what separated him and his friends, who didn't share such passion. If he had admitted out loud: "Yeah, I got too into the role (even tho i actually didn't endanger anyone) and maybe I should tone it down a bit and not completely hide/ignore/forget about the fact I'm a nerd and not a cool cowboy", Starlo would have had to face the truth: that he feels like a nobody without the persona. Absolutely useless. And he really, REALLY didn't want to feel, or be reminded that he feels this way, so he snapped:

And no, I don't believe Star actually planned to fire everyone, because right before the four attack Clover, he cheerfully leaves for the badge: but not before telling them all to have fun.

All his actions, everything he stood for, It all comes down to one simple wish of his: wanting to be a somebody.

We're told he was being selfish and reckless but... I disagree. I've already talked about as to why some time ago, so go check out my older blogs if you haven't already.

...You know what would have screamed "he's selfish and reckless?"

If, during the trolley problem, Star had summoned AN ACTUAL real train and almost hurt/ killed Ed/the rest of the posse + the random monsters tied to the track. He legit trusted that Virgil WOULDN'T do anything that would harm his team for the roleplay and that's why he let him outta the jail

I don't think any of them were actually scared (except the monsters who weren't part of the Wild East, I think there were two of them; they maybe didn't know it was just roleplay), they were just acting; it's their job after all

Or, if he DIDN'T say this about locking Martlet up (with a serious face)

Or if during the duel (mission 2) he DIDN'T use a BB gun and Clover lost HP thanks to an actual wild revolver. True, forgetting safety glasses is being forgetful & careless but I wouldn't use the word reckless. Why? Because carelessness is unintentional, while recklesness is intentional.

also, 'oversight' literally means 'carelesness' and not 'recklessness' (I repeat, they're not the same)

Or if he DIDN'T say THIS:

i totally understand the preference for the sound of concatenative vocal synths vs deep learning based ones (dl i find is often a lot weaker than concatenative, even in voicebanks meant for powerful singing. although they can also be more tonally expressive in ways concatenative struggles with. but of course sometimes you just want the metallic sound which is easier to get concatenatively compared to dl's more autotune-y noise) BUT i do often see people say its because theyre worried about more same-y sounding tuning from the auto pitch creation functions which i get but also it does make me giggle a little because have you forgotten the endless plug-and-play war going on from the past 20 years. have you forgotten the millions of untuned covers uploaded every day since the dawn of vocal synthesis. have you forgotten the autopitchwriter debate. the more things change the more things stay the same <3

#naw but for real i get it. i like both but i understand preferring one or the other #although i will say. i dont really think plug and play is that big of a deal. we're mostly doing this for fun anyway #plus i think mixing is half the battle. not everything is about the pitchbending #i will also say tho im not a fan of untuned sample based vocaloid. i dont mind auto tuned vocaloid6 ai #or cevio or voisona or synthv honestly. all those autopitched sound like. kinda off key but fine #but untuned vocaloid 3-5.... not personally into that #i do like untuned vocaloid1 and 2 tho. especially 1 #AND IM GONNA BE HONEST.... i think an untuned utau cover can sound great LOL #i think its because of utau's interesting and funky resampling methods #and how you can use different ones and mess with that. makes it sound oddly expressive even without pitchbends #but yeah i dunno. i dont think plug and play covers are the devil or anything #i dont even think untuned or autotuned originals are bad. when its a niche and largely hobbyist circle like this #i dont think its that big a deal LOL and if someones plugging in a pretuned file i also dont mind #as long as they specify the tuner or something. its chill to me. sometimes u just wanna hear a robot sing #you dont care about the details <3 <3 <3

do you ever spend a stupid long time on something and when you finish youre like. What even was the fucking point of that. why did i made microsoft click 98 starring adam sandler

#im so serious when i say this took me four hours straight btw.#muffin mumbles #like if anyone wants proof oh i got it baby #my MULTIPLE remaining ibis canvases total up to 2+ hours alone and i deleted a few smaller ones #and based on how i have pngs of various sizes saved every few minutes over the last four hours. im pretty confident i can say this took me #four hours. yeah #highlights include: having to photoshop together two different pngs of adam sandler #because the original poster has his head slightly cut off #but a second poster uses a different angle of the same png of him...? so i had to mix these two together but they were at #Very different resolutions and the colors were slightly different #you would not believe how fucking long the microsoft click 98 logo took me btw #oh and before this i spent like 45 minutes editing adam sandler into various windows backgrounds. dont ask me why i dont even know #but i have all of those AND this at like 2000x3000 quality if anyone wants this in high res for some reason(???)#i just didnt want to make everyones tumblr buffer for ages trying to load this stupid fucking image idk #like i dont even know what to do with this now. what the fuck am i supposed to do with this

#just finished packing my suitcase for my flight tomorrow :(((#i dont :((( wanna go :((((((((((#idk its very mixed emotions bc on one hand i do miss my mom and my bed and my stuff #but i also have had the absolute time of my life this past month in london and im going to miss it so much #but i also know im going to enjoy myself in brazil too and im excited to spend time there and meet family ive never actually seen before #but that doesnt negate how much ill miss london and how incredible this city it. bc like it really is incredible. and i got to do SO much #while ive been here. even those smaller minitrips to dublin and edinburgh and staying in hostels for the first time #like that was so much fucking fun and i know i wont be able to do things like that in brazil #idk im exhausted and sad but also really happy and i am very much aware how lucky i am to be able to do this #and how special it is that i have family willing to help me and friends who were willing to host me and show me around #im just!!!! in my feelings!!!! and im having many feelings!!!!!!#but by this time tomorrow i should be on my plane heading home. then 2 days of rest before im back on another flight. i need. to SLEEP.#i hope you all are well!!!! kisses to all of you!!!!!!!!! please keep your fingers crossed that i dont miss my layover!!!!!!!!!#personal

there is not enough 92sies sprace. i know what you all are doing. 92sies fans did not get on their knees and pick up crumbs to ship spot and race for the rest of us to run off with it and apply it to livesies where not only do they not even directly interact, but fanon prefers because they find the actors more attractive, and then proceed to boil their characters down to 1-2 traits each and ship them in a weird almost f/tishy "dumb feminine man x angry masculine man" way. guys this is a class war not the yaoi war.

#& dont get me wrong NOT all sprace content is like this. it's just Enough #i know this is gonna be controversial but as much as i love sprace ive finally realized why a lot of the fan content doesnt appeal to me #or is just straight up uncomfortable #and it kind of goes with the sexification of funny characters in general which race has fallen victim to #in which ppl remove their depth; give them more sex appeal; and add a pinch of frat boy to the mixture #to make this unhinged sexful comic relief #now im just as in love with btc as the rest of yall but race fell victim to this because he was in the proshot and ppl were attracted 2 him #which is fine #BUT leads to a lot of like.#misinterpretation of his character or just heavily exaggerating certain aspects that made him initially attractive to ppl #which then ends up consuming fanon like a poisoned water supply #it's kinda a variation of sexymanification. fanon making a character stereotypically queer but in a way that is attractive and consumable #and completely overtakes canon aspects of the character. it is not inherently f*tishy but it can definitely acquire those vibes #source: kuroo tetsurou warrior who survived 2016 era haikyuu fandom #92sies sprace is a funny rarepair while livesies sprace is like when the bbc sherlock fandom shipped lestrade and mycroft for no reason #but with the vibes of the ppl who Made Up A Man to ship moriarty with. does that make sense.#the never-interacted rarepair mixed with the yaoiful (derogatory) vibes of 'if this man has no one to ship with i'll just make one myself'#and again i dont think all (livesies) sprace content falls victim to this nor do all people Intend to characterize them this way #i can totally get Not realizing you're portraying them this way until someone points it out #and i couldnt even articulate why i didn't like a lot of sprace content until i saw some passing mentions of this like. listening to octopath music and drawing and writing stuff for my octopath pmd au so The Horrors(tm) dont get me

#i am getting WAY too in depth with these character profiles but if i dont hyperfocus on it i will implode .#like. we got species (including fusions/variants) types (may differ due to species) (plus an extra type bc of mixing in octopath mechanics)#also bc they can have up to 3 types at once i calculated everyones weaknesses and resistances which is actually kinda fun w tri-typed mons #also movesets up to 9 moves including 8 from their species(es.?) and 1 from their extra type . bc octopath #and abilities which everyone can have up to 2 of bc of how the older pmd games worked #tho each start with one and gain one in a similar way to octopath which allows for more mismatching #and also making it easier to choose fitting abilities for everyone they otherwise woildnt have access to #their IQ groups (tho. i am mildly tempted to scrap that and make my own groups. no yeah thats my next task now)#held items and general/single use items theyd most likely have #and any other individual notes i have on them 👍 like therion being unable to evolve further bc part of his lineage is a 2 stage evo #ohhh i also need to note where everyone comes from. except maybe therion bc we dont know his hometown at all #thats gonna be kinda hard bc each continent has pretty much all the biomes but psmd changed that up a bit..... hm....#and the sand continent is straight up from psmd only unlike the rest so i need to check if theres anything besides deserts there #bc i could theoretically put 2 travellers per continent and go from there.. #i know ive missed at least a few pages and some tv clips. i'll have to look those up at some point #but just. the story. the ending. the new ending. the new story the new stuff acknowledging that this is a spiral im #i cant. there are no words to accurately describe how fucking brilliant this game is #just the story and characters themselves #but also all the batshit insane stuff in here. theres a 20 minute musical number AND a 20 minute short film inside this masterpiece #alongside everything else #im also really happy ng+ gave me more zane. i love him so much and him and his casual thirsting over darling?? had to scream and spray at someones off leash dog today and hold in the urge to yell "none of you deserve dogs"

#i fucking hate the group of people at the dog park i try to walk when they arent there but i dont always know #they have a bunch of untrained dogs constantly fighting each other that they never correct and let bark at everyone who passes #today one of them arrived late ig and let their off leash dog just run out of the car barking heading straight for my dogs face #i screamed “HEY. LEAVE IT” full deep volume at the dog and it ran off the trail startled so i start speed walking my dog and i out of the #area and the dog comes back less aggressive this time but still im not letting them sniff especially in a situation that started off #aggressive on that dogs part and as the other dogs in the fenced area are barking so i spray him #he runs away comes back spray 2 more times then he leaves us alone #(the spray is water mixed with a bit of bitter apple dog chewing spray like the stuff to deter dogs from chewing on furniture. its #fine to ingest & breaks the dogs concentration even if u just spray it on their back and not at their mouth if theyre trying to bite/bark)#if you were wondering what the dogs owner was doing- he was standing doing nothing attempted twice to recall his obviously untrained dog #then gave up and stood there. and the 8 other people in the fenced in area were doing nothing too to even call their dogs down. not even #trying. ive literally seem the dogs in the dog park start attacking each others necks when another dog walks by and the only time the #owners have stopped talking to each other and done barely any corrections was when one small dog was screaming for help #i genuinely hate those people and their lack of respect for their dogs and everyone elses #he could've atleast grabbed his dog or something. this would've never happened if he leashed his dog instead of doing what all of the #owners do and leave and enter the dog park with no leash sometimes no collar with untrained aggressive dogs

#cherry chats #bf (bone friend)#ok. so anyway the 2nd part was awhile later he asked me on a date which was cute #and hed gone through way too much effort to make it like....... properly date-y even though neither of us give a shit #so hed gotten a table at some semi fancy restaurant and wed gotten dressed up SORT of fancy #and he was sooo excited and anxious. then he turns out he got the name wrong and instead of a fancy-ish restaurant it was like #some shitty cheap family diner. like imagine mcdonalds but a little fancier and with a LITTLE better food #thats what we got. because they had similar names and he mixed them up #we didnt even get our own table we sat at one of those long benches that mcdonalds also have next to a dad with his 2 little kids #the poor fucking guy was mortified when he realized hed fucked up but i just thought it was hilarious #i remember KISSING HIM ON THE CHEEK!!!!!!!!!!!! and being like its fine lets just go home and order takeout instead lmfao #so anyway. that waas the dream i had it was awesome #tehre were other stuff too but it was all jumbled bits and pieces maybe ill write them down in a draft just so i dont forget
