Who Did What for Sonic the Hedgehog's 900th Adventure
So the 900th Adventure was basically this years Annual in spirit, but instead of multiple shorter stories, it told one big story, but with the number of writers and art teams that you would get in a multi-story annual anyways. Sure you could easily read the credits, but it's more fun this way. Obviously spoilers ahead so everything past part 1 is is gonna be under a Read More
Part 1 (pages 1-6): Set-up with Tails
Tumblr media
Writer: Ian Flynn (the original main writer on IDW Sonic and post-Metal Virus continues to be one of the main writers, including being the main writer of IDW's Classic Sonic specials. Been with the franchise since becoming a writer for the Archie comics back in '06 and served as the writer for Sonic Frontiers)
Artist: Adam Bryce Thomas (one of the main IDW Sonic artists. been around since the latter half of Archie's reboot)
Colors: Valentina Pinto (initially a secondary colorist whose biggest credit was doing the Imposter Syndrome miniseries, recently seems to have graduated to being one of the main colorists this year)
Part 2 (pages 7-12): Amy and the Orca
Tumblr media
Writer/Artist: Evan Stanley (the other main writer of IDW Sonic post-Metal Virus as well as one of the main artists, been around since late in Archie's pre-reboot era)
Colors: Gigi Dutreix (regular cover artist and occasional inker and has even written a few stories; co-authoring Victory Garden from the 2019 Annual and its follow up Future Growth, which they also colored, and solo-writing The Catalyst from 2020's Annual)
Part 3 (pages 13-18): Knuckles and Metal Sonic
Tumblr media
Writer: Nigel Kitching (one of the main writers of the old UK Sonic the Comic published by Fleetway Editions back in the 90s)
Artist: Mauro Fonseca (regular artist, major credits so far include Sonic Learns to Drive from the 30th Anniversary Special, co-designing Surge & Kit, doing the A-covers for the Imposter Syndrome miniseries, and doing a bunch of stuff in the concurrent and upcoming main book issues. Also relevantly used to be a regular contributor to the Sonic the Comic-Online fan continuation)
Inks: Rik Mack (recent regular inker, being the main inker on Mauro's more recent interior art for the comic as well as inking other artists, most notably on Tails' 30th Anniversary Special. Recently did some coloring on the back-half of issue 61 as well. Also another former StC-O regular)
Colors: Reggie Graham (one of the main colorists on IDW Sonic post-Metal Virus, after having been a regular on covers beforehand, as well as being another former StC-O regular)
Part 4 (pages 19-24): Eggman and his Mech
Tumblr media
Writer: Daniel Barnes (writer of Weapons from the 2022 Annual and the Scrapnik Island miniseries)
Artist/Colors: Min Ho Kim (fairly recent addition of the IDW Sonic crew, being a regular cover artist since Scrapnik #1. Also the character artist on The Murder of Sonic)
Color Assistance: Evan Maly
Part 5 (pages 25-30): Blaze and Cream
Tumblr media
Writer/Artist: Aaron Hammerstrom (regular artist, most prominently being the main artist for IDW's Classic Sonic stuff. Also previously wrote/drew the 2022 Annual story Rough Patch)
Inks: Matt Froese (regular inker, mainly works on Aaron's art. Most notable non-Aaron credits include the two Yardley-drawn issues of Zeti Hunt and the first and last parts of Trial by Fire)
Colors: Nathalie Fourdraine (The 1:10 Retailer Incentive variant cover artist for every issue the main book as well as semi-regularly doing covers for side books. Served as the colorist for the Classic Sonic stories Dr. Eggman's Brithday and Amy's New Hobby, as well as the colors and A covers for the Scrapnik Island miniseries)
Part 6 (pages 31-36): Babylon Rogues & Shadow/Rouge
Tumblr media
Writer: Caleb Goellner (writer of the Team Sonic Racing one-shot, the 2019 Annual story Jet Set Tornado, and the 2020 Annual story Reflections)
Artist: Abby Bulmer (regular cover artist, as well as artist of the 2020 Annual story The Catalyst and the 2022 Annual story Hero Camp. Notably way back in the day was the artist of the very first StC-O story, and her time on 2000 AD often involved her serving as a colorist for Richard Elson, one of the main StC artists.)
Colors: Heather Breckel (IDW MLP's main colorist, who's been a recurring secondary colorist throughout IDW Sonic's run, often filling in for other colorists)
Part 7 (pages 37-40): The Warp Topaz Cave
Tumblr media
Same team (Flynn/Thomas/Pinto) as part 1

A post about Freddy Carter in the 2016 play CIRCA, with some info about the play in here too.
If you repost pics from this elsewhere please remember to:
a) credit the photographer/photo source
and
b) mention me as having found them (I'm purpleyindom on insta if anyone reposts there) since it took a fair bit of time/effort to research this play.
Photo sources: tratcliffe15, 2 -__circa & 3 - the VAULTS performance crowdfunder page and others sources mentioned later
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The play was written by Tom Ratcliffe who is friends with Freddy - he was at Oxford Drama School with Freddy, as well as starring in "The Wars of the Roses" (Rose Theatre) with him in 2015.
CIRCA was first performed as a sell-out research & development showing at the Old Red Lion Theatre, Islington in November 2015. After that a crowdfunding campaign was started to raise money for putting on the world premiere of the play in Amsterdam.
10 minutes of CIRCA were also performed as part of Wildcard Theatre's Christmas fundraiser December 1st 2015, with Freddy playing The First Love and Tom Ratcliffe playing The Young Man, and Jamie Jackson directing. Photographer: Ali Wright

Rehearsals for Amsterdam, with director Eleanor Clare Taylor in the 1st pic. Freddy plays The First Love.

The Amsterdam performance happened 8th January 2016 as part of Festival Contact at the Theater de Meervaart. Some behind the scene shots + some more from the performance itself (EDIT: the lefthand side sofa pic I'd included is actually from the 2015 London performance instead - the righthand side one is the Amsterdam set).

Following Amsterdam, another crowdfunding campaign was started to raise money for the plays UK première as part of 2016 Pride in London. Here's pics for the readthrough, rehearsals & preview show. Freddy plays The First Love and The Younger Man.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The play ran June 21st-25th, directed by Joe Allan, performed at The VAULTS, Waterloo. As mentioned by a londontheatre1, the actors changed into dark clothes to double up as stagehands like in pic 5. As far as I can tell there's no public recordings of the play, just a very brief insta reel of applause for one of the shows.
Photo sources: - tratcliffe15 , eskijoe + poster design & some pics by Eitan Bernat
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
CIRCA had another run in March 2019 - for 4 weeks this time - again at The Old Red Lion Theatre, with a smaller cast of 5: Antony Gabriel, Daniel Abelson, Jenna Fincken, Joseph Rowe, and Thomas Flynn. Maybe CIRCA will return sometime potentially but it seems unlikely it would be with Freddy again. I very much wish I could see it tbh but I'll probably have to satisfy myself buying the script sometime.
Photographer Lidia Crisafulli
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
For anyone curious about the play more generally, Tom Ratcliffe has interviews about the 2019 run linked on his website under 'Press' further down on his writer's CV page. There are reviews for the 2016 Vaults performance here. CIRCA is also published, and there were some quotes from the play released as part of promo tweets - they're behind the read more.
"That’s what everyone says isn't it? Gay men shag everything. Disease and all that. My mum, when I came out, the first thing she said to me was ‘don’t get AIDS'...But things are different now. They’ll be different for us."
"Have you ever played the Game of Life?"
"Most people get to be happy with just one person. I don't see why I should have it any different."
"You have this thing where you don't let it define you... I'm not going to apologise"
"Everybody loves a drag queen but nobody will ever love a drag queen"
"No one sleeps with one person forever. You can't be so naive."
"This must be a dream."

🌟THANK YOU FOR THE REBLOGS AND THE LIKES!🌟I really appreciate them:))
✨INTRODUCTION✨
Hullo! it took a LOOONG time to muster up the courage and make my own art account. For a year my brain has been pestering me with a bunch of ideas i could never share to the public. Now's the time to unleash them. I might get a little busy for the next few months, but ill try committing to posting from time to time. I post more often on my twitter account (edit: ermm and on here as well) (i got unique stuff there that arent posted here, and vice versa), so might want to check that out:)) Anywhoo...feel free to drop by! 🤩
Tumblr media
❓Wanna Repost my art (just in case heh)
Sure!
BUT...only IF you ask me and I give you permission, and if you credit me afterwards :DD
I have ermm...art out there that am not so cool with being reposted hehe..I saw people repost my art before, and with proper credit, so yea theyre safe, since this new reposting condition is only made effective on 04|25|24. If you see my art reposted somewhere, after the said date, lemme know? That'd be greatly appreciated! :DD
I'd REALLY appreciate it if yall will credit me:)) Giving proper credits is always a good thing.😁 Just remember what Sonic said—

See what I did there? 😆😅 It doesnt have to be so formal really 😁, linking artists' works is a great thing too, or a simple...

Unless, they clearly stated not to repost their artworks.
If you dont, i'll remember you...
🌚🌚🌚🌚🌚🌚🌚🌚
💔 Making profit out of other artists' works?
Now this is different. Unless you and the artist are in partnership and in healthy agreement, dont do this... ☹️😮‍💨
I think same goes with reproducing artists' work outside of the 'digital realm', at least for me, personally...
That's all tho...
✨Stay Awesome✨
I hope i did not make some of you mad...😔✌️
Edit:
Why do the moons look cute on desktop?? Hahaha theyre supposed to look creepy and menacing, instead they...

i was looking through the tangledwiki for specific information and i happened to stumble upon taylor swift???? for some reason she is credited in plus est en vous and has four songs in the wiki; you belong with me, our song, love story, and picture to burn. i don't remember her having anything to do with the show but do you have an explanation why it could potentially be there and why each song is tied to a different episode in the wiki? if those episodes were partially inspired by those songs, this would be my two special interests combining in the best way. also completely unrelated but i hope you and the others come back for a tangledtalk reunion one day! i miss it and you guys <3
She has nothing to do with the series, and I don't know why someone would put them in the wiki, but you need to understand that the Disney Wiki is not official and can be edited by anyone. It was probably put there by some fan who personally associates those episodes with those songs. I always take everything I read on the Disney Wiki with a grain of salt, especially if it's unconfirmed information. Before the series came out, Arianna and Frederic's names were listed as Primrose and Thomas, because that was what someone named them in a fic of theirs. Before the series concluded, someone claimed that Varian was in every single episode that hadn't aired yet because they wanted him to be there.
The only thing Taylor Swift officially has to do with Tangled was that she famously posed as Rapunzel for Annie Leibovitz's Disney Dream Portrait series. That's it.
That's very sweet of you to say! We're still in regular contact, and we might someday do a special episode or something, but we have no specific plans to ever record another episode. Originally we thought we would to review The Rise of Flynn Rider and What Once Was Mine: A Twisted Tale, but none of us liked the books enough to bother.

Writeblr Intro!
Heya, I'm Chrissy and I'm finally making a sideblog to house my writing/reading stuff! Here you can find updates on my current writing projects, book reviews, and general thoughts on writing/books/literature etc.
A little about me: 25. She/her. I have a degree in history with a minor in archaeology. I love knitting, baking, crosswords, long walks, and other such grandma activities. :)
Fave Books: Catch-22 by Joseph Heller, Emma by Jane Austen, The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood, Red Dragon by Thomas Harris, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins, Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry, Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
General Reading Interests: westerns, horror, weird 90s sci-fi, romance, historical fiction, character driven stories
WIPs
The Imposters - sci-fi/romance set in the 90s, third draft, editing
Daphne Floros knows that the truth is out there, she just needs proof. After moving into her grandmother's house in an idyllic neighborhood, alien obsessed writer Daphne knows that this is the place where she can turn her lifelong dream of becoming an author into a reality. But navigating her new home comes with fresh challenges. Nosy neighbors? No problem. A childhood friend turned aerospace engineer that lives down the street? Sounds too good to be true. A possum in the bathroom? Grab the net. But when her nearly finished manuscript goes missing, Daphne discovers that otherworldly forces might have made a home here too. To protect herself and her new neighbors (and finally finish that damn book), she needs to get to the bottom of what exactly is going on next door.
Rabid Rabbit - western, outlined
Felicity James is knocked off her pedestal of privilege and puts her life in the hands of a horse thief to get back to her home in Georgia. But along the way she discovers a freedom that she's never known in life and doesn't want to give it up so easily.
Cerulean - crime/thriller, planning
The town of Cerulean thought that the Salt River Killer retired years ago after his last victim managed to escape with his life, but when a body turns up in the river, residents fear that he might be back to finish what he started. A housewife and a police deputy are tied together by a deadly secret. A hairstylist turned ghost hunter wants to capture proof of spirits. A high school swim team star hatches a risky plan to protect her younger sister. And a fresh faced officer vows to stop the Salt River Killer once and for all. Though not everything is as it seems from the outside.
I also have a ton of projects in the brainstorming phase that aren't fleshed out enough to give a ton of details on.
Come on over to chat about books or writing! You can also follow my main @cutemothman where i post about the x files, my farmers market successes, rdr2, and anything else that strikes my fancy.
