anyone else have multiple traumatic memories associated specifically with holidays/family vacations? because that is a topic I never see discussed in all the So You Had A Shitty Childhood, Now What? self-help books i've been reading. but for me, it was a significant thing. and the more i think about it the more it seems like this would be an (unfortunately) common experience. would be grateful to hear if this matches other peoples' experiences...

Okay, yall know that headcannon that wade's scars shift every once n' awhile? Imagine this:

Its christmas time, and wade's wearing a (very well loved) reindeer onzie- think the kind thats brown, tan oval in the middle of his front, darker brown cuffs as ''hooves'', reindeer antlers on the hood, the works. He stands up to go to the bathroom,, and as he sees himself in the mirror,, it dawns on him whats happened.

His scars had shifted in his sleep. The pinkish red divits that made up the majority of his skin where always shifting, so it wasnt odd for this to happen- but rarely did something like this happen.

A big, pinkish red, almost heart shaped scar, covered most of the tip of his nose.

The gasp he let out upon realizing this was deafening, to the point he noticed- and slapped his hands over his mouth to hide the noise. Too late, he mused as he heard pounding footsteps racing down the short hall to the bathroom.

"BUB?" Whisper-yelled a very-much-no-longer-asleep-wolverine, who was currently barging into the bathroom. "I HEARD-"

"IM RUDOLPH!!" Wade exclaimed, removing his hand from his face and pointing to his nose with it. "Thanks to my very plot convenient hoodie and shifting scars. I will be talking about this all day."

Logan groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"I'm going back to bed."

"Nooo!!"

Anyway, I think that'd be neat.

More and more these days every time there is a celebration I feel like my reaction to it becomes less and less enthusiastic. Like: "Oh boy, happy [insert the name of the event we are supposed to be celebrating] haha!!

... Anyways."

And then I spend the day inside doing nothing and everything feels exactly the same as any other regular Thursday. What.
