some guy tries to take over merlin's job, merlin only realises he's possessed by the spirit of a dead sorcerer because he's too obsessed and jealous of how much arthur seems to like him

merlin gets really jealous around arthur's new girlfriend, desperate to sabotage their date

arthur is completely oblivious to the fact his own wife is enchanted, but notices and gets really worried when merlin doesn't smile for two days

tgwdlm is soooo funny bc even before the Evil Musical Hivemind lands everyone (except Paul ofc) is already a theater kid. Like okay you’ve got Hidgins which is self explanatory. But then Ted ends up really invested in working boys. Emma (and Zoey/Nora) did/do theater. Bill at least is invested in seeing a musical along with like a few other important side characters. It’s funny bc this is like Not how often theater is normally brought up. something a number of very wonderful authors have highlighted a lot in their fics is how permissive and even somewhat self sabotaging alastor gets with people he really likes, as demonstrated both by mimzy and, i believe, him almost dying for the hotel, and i've been utterly fascinated recently by alastor as someone who frequently conflates being used with being wanted/needed meeting vox, who will use anyone for any reason to get what he wants. alastor conceiving of himself as a provider, a protector, his independence enabled by the fact that he doesn't need anyone and everyone needs him—versus vox, who digs his claws in harder the more he loves someone, thinking of himself as a networker, someone who forges exploitative connections easy as breathing because he can't rest until he has his name on everything, even carved into your ribs. alastor loving getting to rescue vox from his little business mishaps, maybe not even noticing that vox hasn't really needed his assistance for years now; vox initially taking advantage to keep himself safe, and then just... never stopping, once he realized he could keep pressing that button forever and alastor would never get tired of playing knight in shining armor.

but maybe... vox got tired of the charade eventually. started calling on alastor less and less, wanting to distance himself from the idea that he needs a stronger overlord looking after him. finally having torn enough away from other people to stand on his own two feet, and desperate for it. and alastor, perceiving that as rejection, as endangering to his sense of self, as a threat to the narcissistic part of him that relished in always getting to be poor vox's powerful, dangerous savior. in this new light, vox's comments about the dying art of radio ring less lighthearted and more like a direct blow to alastor's self-perception, that something so integral to him could be forgotten and discarded so easily, and that makes him furious. maybe it would've even been the healthier move for anyone but them, but the toxic cycle of using and being used was their common language, the way they (and alastor moreso) structured the world and understood their places in it, and once they lost that it was all downhill from there

i saw this tweet and found it interesting for two reasons. one is that some people base how good cartoon network would be to toh by how it treated su, and despite the fact that su’s treatment by the network was considered poor at the time, now its thought to be exceptionally good in comparison to modern shows.

two is how exactly su got impacted by a limited budget. a common criticism is how characters like connie, peridot, and lapis are left out of missions. but balancing a lot of characters is not only hard but also costly (extra animation, extra voices—it’s been revealed that the show is limited to a set number of characters per episode otherwise they’re over budget). animation mistakes are not uncommon since retakes cost extra. the entire reason the original show got cut short was due to loss of funding!

My Super Duper important lore thoughts below

Okay so I do think Charr purr but I kinda am basing these graphs off of something that is subconscious. I think they can force themselves to purr if they want to but im going based off them doing so naturally

Rox: Purrs often but is like one of those cats you have to either have your hand under their throat to Feel it rumbling or standing Very Next to them in a quiet room. She is a little relieved by this.

Reeva: PURRS LOUD, ALL THE TIME. Reeva is someone who enjoys life and having fun so I thought itd just be Correct to be one of those cats that Always Purrs. Shes purring when she eats, she purrs when shes fighting, she purrs when she sleeps, Its very endearing to me.

Rytlock: Rytlock is one of those Loud Rumbly purrs, those purrs where when you hear it for the first time youre like "Jesus fucking christ how are you purring that Loud?" But, he purrs very rarely, so I guess when you do hear it its a bit special....

Leo: Leo is a bit of a slightly lower than midpoint, normal Purr volume but leans towards not purring as often. So if anything it also feels nice when you hear him purr arouind you.

Crecia: crecia has both a very low volume purr And tends to not purr that often either? You can definitely hear when she purrs but its a little faint, in a way that is also pretty cute to me.
