espresso and sketches ◟♡ ˒ ʾʾ

doe eyed boy steals your favorite café spot everyday!
genre : fluff, romance
pairing : barista jungkook x reader
word count : 750+
espresso & sketches :
The bell above the café door chimed as you hurried inside, shaking rainwater from your coat. Busan’s autumn storms were relentless, and the only thing worse than your soaked socks was the fact that your favorite corner booth was taken. Again.
You glanced over, irritation fading as your eyes landed on *him*—the guy who’d claimed your spot for the third time this week. Dark hair fell over his forehead as he hunched over a sketchbook, long fingers smudging charcoal across the page. His black hoodie sleeves were pushed up to his elbows, revealing a constellation of tattoos you’d spent too many coffee breaks trying to decipher. Jungkook, according to his nametag. Barista. Art student. Mysterious regular booth-thief.
“Usual order?” a voice asked, snapping you back. You blinked up at Nari, the afternoon shift manager, who smirked knowingly. “Or do you need a minute to… decide?”
You flushed. “Americano. And a croissant. Thanks.”
As Nari rang you up, you stole another glance at Jungkook. He’d looked up now, staring out the rain-streaked window with a faint smile, as if the storm pleased him. A half-finished latte sat forgotten beside his sketches. You wondered what he drew—landscapes? Portraits? Bunny doodles? (You’d noticed the rabbit keychain on his backpack.)
---
The next day, you "accidentally" arrived earlier. Your booth was free, but victory felt hollow when Jungkook wasn’t there. Until—
“Need a pen?”
You jumped. He stood beside your table holding a tray of clean mugs, apron tied haphazardly over a band T-shirt. Up close, he was all soft edges—round cheeks, doe eyes, a silver hoop glinting in one ear.
“Uh,” you said intelligently, staring at the notebook where you’d been tapping a dry gel pen for five minutes.
He set down the tray and pulled a Sharpie from his pocket. “Here. Less… sad-looking.”
“Thanks.” You took it, fingers brushing. His hands were warm, ink-stained. “I’ll, um, give it back when you’re done with your shift?”
He tilted his head. “Or you could keep it. I’ve got twelve more.” A pause. “I’m Jungkook.”
“I know.” You gestured to his nametag, then winced. “I mean—I’ve seen you around. Drawing.”
“Stalking, huh?” His lips quirked up, and your stomach flipped. “Don’t worry. I’ve noticed you too. Always scowling at me for stealing your seat.”
---
It became a routine: you’d scribble essays in your booth; he’d slide you mismatched pastries (“They’re gonna toss them anyway”) and linger during his breaks. He loved indie films, hated celery, and could mimic any birdcall. You learned his sketches were of strangers in the café—the old man who did crossword puzzles, the girl with purple hair who wrote poetry—but he’d never drawn you.
“Too distracting,” he said when you asked, erasing furiously as you sat modeling for him one slow Tuesday. The paper tore. “*Yah*, stop laughing! Your nose does this weird crinkle thing—”
“My nose is normal!”
“Cute, though,” he muttered, refusing to meet your eyes.
---
The turning point came on a Thursday, when you found a shivering white bunny abandoned in a cardboard box outside your apartment. You texted Jungkook a panicked photo: **???HELP???**
He arrived in ten minutes, hair messy, carrying a bag of lettuce and a first-aid kit. “You named him *already*, didn’t you?” he sighed, kneeling beside you to check the bunny’s paw.
“His name is Snowball.”
“It’s July.”
“Jungkook—”
“Fine. But he’s staying at *my* place. Your building doesn’t allow pets.” He glanced up, suddenly serious. “You’ll visit him, right? Every day?”
You nodded, hyper-aware of his arm pressed against yours. Snowball (relocated to Jungkook’s studio apartment) became your excuse for movie nights, grocery runs, and late walks along the harbor.
---
One rainy evening, as you huddled under his umbrella, Jungkook stopped mid-sentence about his sculpture project.
“What?” you asked.
He turned to you, droplets catching in his lashes. “I’m tired of pretending I adopted a rabbit for charitable reasons.”
Your heart raced. “Oh?”
“Yeah.” He stepped closer, umbrella tilting to shield your faces from the streetlamp glow. “Turns out I just wanted an excuse to see you smile every day.”
When he kissed you, it tasted like espresso and the green apple gum he always chewed. Somewhere in his pocket, Snowball’s spare key pressed against your palm—a silent promise.
---
Six months later, you finally appeared in his sketchbook—not scowling, but laughing, with Snowball nestled in your lap. Underneath, he’d written: *My favorite muse.*

Hello! I was hoping I could request the prompt: tome for Solomon, if it hasn’t been taken by the time I send this in. If so, no worries! Take care of yourself and have a great rest of your day, morning, or evening (depending on when you get this)! 😊
Hello!
Oof, I'm sorry for the delay on this, but I am getting caught back up on event requests now! Hopefully this didn't turn out too bad, I am still kinda fighting through the writer's block asdlkfjdkljf. BUT I love Solomon so he's easy to write for. Also I rewrote it because it was too long the first time, but it ended up getting even longer the second time. 😩 So I was like okay fine it's just gonna be what it's gonna be lol!
Thank you for participating!
COZY COMFORTS EVENT
GN!MC x Solomon with prompt tome
Warnings: none!
Solomon's bookshelves had a unique organization system that only the sorcerer himself could navigate. Any time you had a question about magic that he didn't know the answer to off the top of his head, he went straight to the exact book he needed. He would flip it open to the right page almost effortlessly, as though he had read each book multiple times.
The more time you spent learning from him, though, the more you began to understand how the shelves worked. Parts of it were still a mystery to you, but you could always tell when he had bought several new things. You would check the titles out of curiosity only to find that most of them were in a language you didn't speak.
One day Solomon left you alone with the books as he went to find some potion ingredients. You did a cursory perusal of the shelves, eyes automatically drawn to the new additions.
You were surprised to find one you could read. It was about hexes and seemed to be at your level.
You put your finger on the top of it and tipped it back, pulling it off the shelf to land neatly in your hand. As you did this, though, another book that had fallen behind that one tumbled out.
You just managed to catch the second book before it hit the floor.
Which was a good thing because it was so thick you thought it might've cracked the section of floor it landed on.
You put back the first book and tried to hold this one, but you couldn't quite get your hands around it. You carried it to the table and put it down with a heavy thud.
It had no title. It was big and leather bound - black with a shimmer to it, like an opal. The page edges were shiny gold and sparkled slightly. There was a singe purple ribbon sticking out of the bottom, about halfway through the pages.
You pulled on the ribbon and opened the book to the page it had marked.
The pages were blank. You stared at the pristine white of them for a moment in confusion. Then you noticed some kind of writing on the other side of the left page. You flipped it and sucked in a breath.
It was Solomon's handwriting.
You frowned. Was this magical looking epic tome his diary or something? That didn't seem likely.
You felt a little guilty, but you had to know, so you flipped to the first page to see if you could figure it out.
There you found a small and messy sketch of yourself. Beside it were the words MC's Path to Sorcery. You smiled at the sketch. It was adorable and captured your likeness well.
You flipped through some more pages. There were diagrams of magic circles, lists of potion ingredients, descriptions of spells, and clear steps for earning your seven sorcerer stars. There were little notes beside these about you and how well you had learned each thing. They sometimes mentioned areas you needed to work on or had little suggestions for things to try next.
It finally dawned on you as you recognized everything outlined before you. These were lesson plans. This was Solomon planning out what to teach you and then documenting your success.
You found a few other things, too. A flower you had given him was pressed between the pages. A note you had left for him was taped in. A few more sketches and even a handful of pictures. Little mementos from moments you spent together. As if this book had begun as a way to record what he was teaching you, but had evolved to include memories of you as well.
You bit your lip. This was so cute and you found yourself struggling to fight back tears. But you didn't mean to find it and it didn't feel right to continue looking through something so private. You closed the book and put it back on the shelf before Solomon returned. Maybe one day he would tell you about it himself. Maybe you would eventually tell him that you knew about it. But for now, it was enough to know that he kept it here, snug on his shelves with the rest of his precious collection.

Not to rush or sound like I'm rushing you
But I have a few questions about the blurry photos comic
-when do you think the next pages will be posted?
-how much (if you do have any) have you got done of the next pages are done?
This next one has nothing to do with a ship I like I just generally wanna know if your comfortable telling
-do you have any cannon ships in the comic that might show up later and if so what are they?
And agian I do not want this to seem like I'm not trying to seem like I'm rushing you I just generally love the comic and I have all these questions to ask-
And also
-if you don't ship any ships in general would you explain why you don't? (Just a question sorry if it's annoying)
For your first questions, your Ask actually motivated to get some sketches for the first two pages today. I’ve been super busy and haven’t been able to draw or anything, but these questions made me want to :).
So I guess this ties into your next question, I have gotten very rough sketches for the next two pages.
My sketches are always super messy as well as my handwriting, sorry lol (I have to try so hard on making my writing legible on the final products 😭). I have no idea when I will finish them, but it’s something!
Next question, I’m still not sure if I will include ships but it will definitely be implied. I really like ships like Killer X Cross, Horror X Dust, so that will probably come up soon.
The way I want them to be portrayed in this comic is to have it be like an unacknowledged relationship that’s more based on necessity or desperation/loneliness? In another story it’d be nice for it to eventually turn into healthy relationships but we all know they wouldn’t be 💀.
That being said, ships aren’t really gonna be the main focus of the story, at least for the next chapter.
That’s all I got! Also, please don’t be sorry for asking questions I love answering them and it makes me happy!!! Seriously, I won’t get mad for Asks unless they’re just weird. Even then I won’t be upset just confused lol

Here’s my 2024 Art Summary, terribly late as usual! We’re back to including some black and white in this year and my months were very clustered, but all things considered I was actually surprised I ended up with as many decent samples for the collage as I did. I was kinda expecting them all to be messy sketches this year lol.
Just like with my writing summary, this year the questions are a bit abridged since I didn’t do a ton of art. That said, I’m still a rambler haha, so the reflection questions are answered up the cut. The template I used is available here in case anyone else wants to use it!
What events did you participate in (with art)?Player Appreciation Week (old art), Fandom Trumps Hate (offered), CS Case Files Zine (comic!). Not really the type of art this summary is for, but I also created my first cosplay for RCCC!
What was your biggest challenge this year? Definitely motivation. Last year was a creative slump with a lot going on mentally making stuff hard. Mostly in start up energy, since once I got going, things seemed to go alright.
Did you try anything new this year? I got into a comic zine, which was new and exciting! My original plan was far too long for the creation period, though, so I spent a ton of time trying to widdle it down to 3 pages. I also did super messy spot art sketches for a friend’s fic, which ended up being a lot of fun! I also took some screenshots and then drew other characters into the show, somewhat trying to match the show’s style, which was definitely interesting.
Where do you think you most improved? I’m going to go with rendering again! I really love playing with color and lighting, and several of my collage pieces this year were just adding rendering to old pieces. I have a lot more confidence with it now, though I still sometimes feel like my pieces don’t end up as dynamic as I’d like. I also did a lot better at following inspiration and not being as perfectionistic this year.
What are you most proud of? I’m really proud of getting into a comic zine, even though it likely wasn’t that competitive. The fact that I got in for comics despite never having done art for a zine before is crazy to me! I was a pinch hitter, so I wasn’t originally selected, but I’m still honored I got picked eventually. I also am really proud of the August fully rendered piece of Player screaming. I did that one in almost one sitting, probably around 4ish hours, and it was one of my first times doing full color/rendering without cleaning the sketch much at all. Overall, I was very excited at how well it turned out and I feel like the messy emotions really come across!
How’d this year compare to your 2023 goals?Shoutout to past Sakarrie for giving me a straight bullet point list. MUCH easier to work with lol.
2024 Goals Met: -Number One Priority: Create for me and don’t put myself in a place to get crazy burnt out and still have requirements. If I meet this goal, then it’s okay if I don’t meet any of the others. (It would be sad.... But I would still count it as meeting overall goals.) -Participate in Summergen and PAW Week (Art or Fic) -Have a fully usable Zine Portfolio (Currently need more merch samples and rendered pieces with backgrounds) -Apply to new TOH Zines or other loved fandom zines. If I end up getting into any, I can pull back, but since that doesn’t seem likely, I want to get into the habit of always being ready to apply with what I have. -Play with different brushes and rendering styles -Not exactly art, but I want to have a finalized long-term merch display plan for all my items -Do ONE of the following: 1. 30 minutes digitized so it can be shared with music 2. Open Up Your Eyes fully thumbnail 3. Fanworks for other people’s fics 4. Participate in an extra bang or exchange with art 5. Design and manufacture a pin
The ones that don’t have strikethrough are a bit of a stretch, but I’m gonna give them to myself. While I haven’t added more pieces with backgrounds and need to reorganize my zine portfolio, it is in a decent place where I feel like I can use it and it will accurately represent my best work. I also didn’t really purposefully experiment with rendering or brushes, but it did happen naturally a little, so giving that to myself too. As for the ONE of the following list, I actually did digitize my 30 minutes thumbnails! It’s just not to music, so doesn’t count. Also holy dang, last year Sakarrie was ambitious with the proposal of manufacturing a pin haha.
2024 Goals NOT Met:-Design Handplates charm as anniversary gift (November) -Design CS Charm-Make an ongoing project list to pin to my tumblr. This applies mostly for fics, but that way people coming to my page can see what fandoms I’m actively creating for and what they can look forward to (as well as have an opening to ask questions if they’re interested). -Post more (at least 10 times throughout the year) and add my best pieces to instagram (8+ pieces by end of year). -Draw something from scratch every month, no matter how small
Yeah, these all I absolutely failed with. Oops. Probably gonna be using a fair few of these as my new goals haha.
Alrighty then, now it’s time for 2024 goals!! I think I want my main focus to be to try to draw more frequently. I’ve found that so much of what prevents me from drawing is startup energy, and once I actually get going, it all comes much easier.
Specific goals: -Organize a go-to zine portfolio for comics, merch, page art, and spot art applications -Try to draw every month (even the tiniest phone doodle counts) -Design Handplates charm as anniversary gift (November?) -Design CS Charm-Make an ongoing project list to pin to my tumblr. This applies mostly for fics, but that way people coming to my page can see what fandoms I’m actively creating for and what they can look forward to (as well as have an opening to ask questions if they’re interested). -Post more (at least 5 times throughout the year) and maybe look into Cara or whatever the non-instagram art app is. -Experiment more with drawing in sketchy art style with full color/rendering -Experiment more with screenshot redraw/character replacements -Do ONE of the following: 1. 30 minutes put to music 2. Open Up Your Eyes fully thumbnail 3. Fanworks for other people’s fics 4. Participate in an event with art 5. Draw and post for a new/niche fandom (Infinity Train, Sym-Biotic Titan, Irondad, The Flash, etc)
Overall, how’d the year go? Better than I expected when I first started pulling up my art haha. I didn’t push myself on anything but the CS comic, and that was pretty early on in the year. I also did a fair few doodle/sketch projects and followed the muse when it wanted to do rendering without drawing.

I saw your requests were open! I've seen in some concept art that Miles is trying out watercolor, can you (when you have the time and if you want to, ofc) please write a reader (Gn or fem) who is really good at watercolor and is a artist and teaches him? Either romantic or platonic work :D thank you, I love your work so much!!!
omg wait I used to do watercolor I still have the paints at home...hold my beer (I went with platonic)
Miles sucked his teeth as the pinks, blues, and green he had just put down ran together and formed a puddle in the middle of the paper.
No matter how many YouTube videos he sped through, he couldn't seem to grasp how the disembodied hand on his screen could lay down all that color (without the paper shriveling up like a raisin) and manage to sculpt it into something...comprehensible.
Just then, he remembered the scanned painting you had sent him the other day. It was a vibrant forest, dotted with bright neon flowers and birds dozing off in high branches. He couldn't for the life of him figure out how you managed to capture beams of sunlight in your heavy sketchbook and needed to learn your secrets, so he'd borrowed some leftover paints.
Miles had already mastered sketching, and knew his way around a box of markers. He could even command a messy can of spray paint. What's a bit of watery paint?
...A lot, it turns out. At any rate, he knew just who to call.
After a few beeps, your face appeared onscreen.
You were still in bed, surrounded by an army of stuffed animals with a sleeping mask pushed up to your forehead. Miles made a 'tsk' sound. It was two o'clock in the afternoon.
"Rise and shine, bestie!" he announced loudly into his phone speaker.
"What do you want?" you grumbled, rubbing your eyes.
"This watercolor shit is blowing my mind right now, and I need your expertise. Look!"
Miles flipped the camera to show you the blob of what was now a bright indigo pooled in the middle of his would-be masterpiece.
You squinted. "Jesus. Is that in your regular sketchbook, where you do the markers and shit?"
"Yup."
"Well, there's your first problem. You're using the wrong kinda paper."
"So that's why no one in those videos fucks it up? Noted,"
He reversed the camera again.
"What about the colors? Mine keep running together when I don't want 'em to."
This made you laugh, imagining Miles slapping a ton of different colors on top of a sketch like a child learning to paint in kindergarten for the first time, thinking that he knew what he was doing. He was never the patient type, preferring fast and loose marks with sharp edges. No piece of his was ever allowed an "ugly stage"; it either worked immediately or it would end up crumpled into a ball in the trash.
Oh boy, was he was gonna learn today.
You could see Miles pouting through the camera.
"What's so funny?"
"Miles," you snorted, "did you let the first layer dry before adding more colors?"
His eyes widened in realization, triggering more peals of laughter.
"I just wet the whole page, then started coloring! How was I supposed to know?"
"It's water, dumbass! It's not like your lil' Copic markers--"
"Prismacolor--"
"Whatever. Anyways, gimme fifteen minutes, I'm coming over to save you before you flood your entire room."

Could u show how ur process of ur making comics? Its so stylized and charming im amazed at them 🥺
thank you so much, this is so sweet!! and sure! I'm happy to give you a lil peak behind the curtain at my process
under a cut cause I'm a rambler ✨
every comic of mine starts with a script first! it's not anything too fancy, mostly just the dialogue jotted down in a very inconsistent fashion, like so
and once the fun of writing some sassy stolitz banter is over, next comes the most difficult part imo... thumbnailing the layout
the thumbnail is just a messy ass sketch of basic bitch shapes to work out where I think everything is gonna fit. it's probably not very legible to anyone but me. I mean just look at this shit

once I got that down, I scale it up to fit the page and lower the opacity. then before I do any proper sketching, I get that text in there. oooooh yeah! do those text and speech bubbles and panel borders first babes, TRUST ME. that shit's a time saver
then you can sketch AROUND the speech bubbles, instead of having to sketch -> add text -> oh shit the text is bigger than I thought, now I have to alter the sketch -> rinse repeat on multiple panels and cry

so after that, I'll do a first pass sketch but like yikes I got so damn lazy with one?? wow. it's not always like this I promise

here's an example of another first pass sketch as PROOF, sometimes there's more detail

aaaaanyway if I'm in a real rush, I'll skip to inking, but USUALLY I like to do a cleaner second sketch first like so. it makes inking waaaaaay easier

so yeah after THAT comes the inking. it's usually all in black (I color the lines at the very end, typically) but I did not feel like undoing all my hard work for this screenshot sowwy

after it's all nice and inked, I color using the typical comic book flatting method. flatting is easily the most boring part, but alas, it must be done
I use the fill bucket tool in Clip Studio Paint all on the same layer and yeah the colors look wonky as shit right? that's cause it doesn't matter what colors you use, you just have to be able to grab the areas you want later using the magic wand tool (so you can see all the backgrounds on each panel are a different color to keep them separated, for example)

and that's what I do! after the flats are done, I create a new layer and use the magic wand tool to select and color each area properly. minimal shading, because I hate rendering most of all, so I keep the colors pretty flat! I color in some lines after that and call it good!

I hope this was insightful in some way and made sense! I don't know if I'm any good at explaining things, so if you'd like more clarity on anything, feel free to ask and I'll try again! 💖
#hooooopefully this was clear and answers what you were looking for!#but if not let me know#comic process#art process#glitz babbles#glitz replies#anon ask#usually I delete my scripts after the comic is done but thankfully this one was still sitting in my notes!#wooooo!

ok i have yet to listen to the taylor swift song (i'm sorry) but imagine miles gifting you these :))
(reblogs are greatly appreciated, it helps get my content out there! if you guys like what you see, please reblog it too <:D)
i like shiny things, but i'd marry you with paper rings. – miles 1610 x reader

bored in class and missing you dearly, miles sighs to himself as he fiddles with a loose notebook page he tore from the notebook itself earlier–having leant you his favorite mechanical pencil, he can't really find the motivation to doodle, the back of his notebook already filled to the brim with sketches since he left his sketchbook at his locker.
he sighed again as the words of his teacher entered one ear and exited out of the other. he kept trying to focus, but he ended up fidgeting with the corners of the notebook page he tore–folding it here and there, creasing it in the process. he made a paper boat at first, then a crane, then with another piece of paper, he folded it into a horizontal sheet repeatedly and rolled it up. it crudely resembled a ring to him, and he smiled, remembering a line from a song you really like, and he kept unfolding the paper and refolding it until he found the right design.
he somehow was able to make an amateur paper ring without any tutorial, with just his hands and creativity to work with; it had a small, creased-looking heart on it that he kept trying to give shape to, which he thought to draw the kaomoji you always got reminded of him by. after class, he had wondered whether to give it to you or not, he was anxious if you'd even accept it since it looked pretty messy and amateurish–but nonetheless, what mattered was that he tried, he tried to put all his love for you in this small, trinket of a gift he made for you.
he approached you by the lockers and when you handed him his mechanical pencil back, he smiled and told you that it was a little funny you gave it back now, because now, he has something else to give to you. he shyly showed you the paper ring he made and, with a grin, told you that he tried to make out from scratch. he got a bit sheepish when he asked you if you'd take it, which worsened when you smiled back up at him and told him it was beautiful.
"put it on me?" you asked him in a soft voice as you showed him the back of your hand, almost as if he were to slide that ring on you like it was gonna be your wedding day. that caught miles off guard and his eyes gotten even bigger, with his smile growing broader as his fluster caught up to him. he chuckled and nodded. "ah, sure, sure." he said as he took your hand in his and gently slid it on your middle finger by accident. you laughed aloud as miles fumbled to put it on the conventional ring finger, but you insisted on keeping it there.
"it's my favorite finger, if anyone's gonna ask me if i want anyone else..." you said as you jokingly tried to show him your adorable flip off with your ringed finger as miles stopped you and held your hand in his own with a chuckle. "oh, how adorable. a bit rude, but adorable." he said while you leaned over to kiss him on the cheek, shutting him up and soon making him stutter out something incoherent as you thanked him for the paper ring.
"n-no problem..." he said with a lopsided grin and a flustered face as you took his hand in yours and accompanied him through the bustling halls to his next class, feeling so lucky to have a guy who's expressive with his love for you in such innovative, creative ways that make you fall for him more and more.

I look up to your art a lot and, as someone with an incredibly bad and messy sketchbook, I would love to see your less aesthetic one. It's a bit discouraging when you see everyone on social media with neat and perfect sketch :(
I actually saved this ask up in my inbox in case the scanning option won, so that I'd have an excuse to post a few of the most wonky-looking pages here (and, considering I spent the first three months of the year depressed, there are quite a few of those)...
BUT! The flip through won, so you're getting to see all the wonky stuff anyway! I should be done with this sketchbook by the end of the month, and it gives me just enough time to figure out how I'm gonna set up my phone to actually film the thing. (You'd think I'd have a tripod by now :P)
(Though now I am tempted to scan some of the Catober — or is it Chatober??? — stuff I've been drawing lately, 'cause some of them are neat.)

YOU’RE PRETTY WHEN YOU CRY 1— dark peter parker x reader
MINI SERIES MASTERLIST
The first time Peter Parker met you, you were seven years old, sitting cross-legged on the swing set at recess, picking at the frayed edge of your shoelace.
“You’re gonna trip if you keep that up,” he warned, standing awkwardly beside you, too shy to sit down without permission.
You glanced up at him, eyes sharp with curiosity. “What’s your name?”
“Peter,” he mumbled, shifting on his feet.
You considered him for a moment before patting the empty swing next to you. “I’m Y/N. Sit.”
So he did.
For the next year, you were inseparable—partners for class projects, teammates for dodgeball (even though Peter was terrible at it), co-conspirators sneaking extra cookies from the cafeteria line. You were his first real friend, the person who made him laugh until he couldn’t breathe, who defended him when Flash Thompson shoved him too hard.
But things changed in third grade.
You changed.
Your hair, once messy from running wild at recess, was suddenly brushed and pinned neatly. You started wearing bracelets that jingled when you moved, rolling your eyes at the silly jokes you once laughed at. The other girls in class started noticing you, whispering behind their hands.
And, for the first time, you noticed them back.
Peter still waited for you at the swings. He still saved you a seat at lunch. But slowly, the space beside him stayed empty. You sat somewhere else. Talked to other kids.
Then one day, he worked up the courage to tug at your sleeve and ask, “Hey, do you still wanna come over after school?”
You barely looked at him. “Peter, stop being so clingy.”
It was a small cut, but it stung.
By the time middle school rolled around, the kindness you once gave him had turned to something else entirely. Peter became an easy target—still small, still awkward, still easy to push down. And you? You had become something else entirely. Confident. Sharp. Mean.
You laughed at his nervous stammer, rolled your eyes when he raised his hand in class, made sure he knew his place in the social food chain—beneath you.
And Peter?
Peter still looked at you like the sun, even as you burned him alive.
Peter didn’t know when the admiration turned to resentment.
Maybe it was the first time you laughed at him instead of with him, surrounded by your new friends, your eyes glinting with amusement as he fumbled with his words in front of the whole class.
Or maybe it was the time you snatched his notebook from his hands, flipping through the pages filled with his messy sketches of superheroes and science experiments, and tore out a page—just because you could.
“Still drawing your little cartoons, Peter?” you teased, waving the crumpled paper in front of his face.
He reached for it, but you stepped back, just out of reach. His ears burned as your friends giggled.
“Give it back, Y/N.”
You smirked. “What’s the magic word?”
“Please.” His voice was tight, humiliated.
For a second, something flickered in your expression—something almost like hesitation. But then you scoffed and tossed the page into a nearby trash can, tears pricked at his eyes. “Aw, you gonna cry?” You mocked, flicking his forehead, “you’re pretty when you cry” then without a word, you turned around. Walking away with your friends.
Peter clenched his fists, swallowing the lump in his throat.
You used to be his best friend. Now, you barely looked at him unless it was to smirk, to sneer, to remind him exactly where he stood—below you, a footnote in the story of your life.
And the worst part?
He still liked you.
Despite the insults, despite the humiliation, some stupid, naive part of him still clung to the girl who once sat beside him on the swings, still remembered the way you used to defend him instead of tear him down.
But that part of him wouldn’t last forever.
Because every cruel laugh, every shove in the hallway, every careless word chipped away at the admiration until it was no longer something warm and wistful.
It was something bitter. Something dark. And one day, you wouldn’t be the one with the power.
Middle school wasn’t just cruel to Peter—it was merciless.
And you? You were the worst part of it.
At first, it was small things. A giggle when he stuttered over an answer in class. A snide comment when he tripped over his too-big sneakers.
Then, it got worse.
It started as a joke. At least, to you, it did.
It was seventh grade, and Peter Parker had been your favorite punching bag for years now. Always so awkward, so easy to fluster, stumbling over his words whenever you so much as looked at him too long.
So when one of your friends dared you to kiss him—right in the middle of the cafeteria, for everyone to see—you didn’t even hesitate.
Peter had been sitting alone, hunched over a book, picking at his lunch without really eating it. He barely noticed you approaching until your shadow fell over his tray.
“Hey, Parker.”
His head snapped up, eyes widening when he saw you. He blinked, wary, as if bracing himself for whatever was coming.
You smiled, syrupy sweet. “Relax. I just wanna talk.”
His fingers tightened around his fork. “O-okay?”
You didn’t give him time to say anything else. Instead, you leaned down, cupping his face in your hands, and kissed him.
It was brief—barely a second—but it was enough. Enough to feel how stiff he went beneath you, how his breath hitched. Enough to watch his cheeks explode in red-hot embarrassment.
You pulled away, watching the realization dawn on him, watching his throat bob as he swallowed thickly. He was frozen, stunned into silence, his eyes wide and dazed.
Then you felt it. You didn’t even have to look down. You saw the panic in his expression, the way he shifted, desperate to hide it.
And God, it was funny.
You bit your lip, pretending to be flattered. “Aww, Peter,” you cooed. “Did you like that?”
He stammered something—some desperate attempt to regain his dignity—but you were already laughing.
And so was everyone else.
Because the second you turned back to your friends, you announced it.
“Guys,” you giggled, loud enough for half the cafeteria to hear. “I think Peter Parker just got a boner.”
Laughter erupted. Flash practically howled, pounding the table. Girls covered their mouths, whispering, eyes darting toward Peter, who looked like he wanted to die.
His whole body went rigid, his face burning with humiliation. He scrambled to his feet, knocking his tray to the ground in his haste to flee. The sound of his footsteps—desperate, hurried—echoed behind him.
And you?
You just laughed.
Because to you, it was nothing. Just another joke. Just another way to remind Peter Parker of what he was.
Pathetic.
You didn’t know that moment would sear itself into his memory, playing in an endless loop in his mind for years to come.
You made sure he sat alone at lunch, whispering something to your friends before all of you stood up and moved tables just as he sat down. You laughed when Flash shoved him against lockers, when his books spilled onto the floor, when he had to scramble on his hands and knees to gather them while everyone else watched.
But it wasn’t just the public humiliation—it was the little things, the ones that sank deep into his bones.
The way you’d walk past him and mutter, “Loser,” just low enough for only him to hear. The way you’d wrinkle your nose if he tried to speak in a group, like the idea of him talking disgusted you. The way you’d pretend to be nice—just long enough to trick him into thinking you had changed—before pulling the rug out from under him.
One time, you called his name in the hallway, smiling.
For a brief, pathetic moment, Peter thought—maybe. Maybe you remembered the swings, the laughter, the friendship that once existed between you. Maybe the girl who used to defend him was still in there, buried under all the cruel confidence.
So, like an idiot, he walked over.
And you held out your hand.
“Truce?” you asked sweetly.
Peter hesitated, then nodded. He reached for your hand.
The second his fingers touched yours, you pulled back with a sharp laugh. “Like I’d ever want to touch you. Wouldn’t want you to get a boner again,”
Your friends roared with laughter as Peter’s face burned hot, shame curling up his spine like poison.
That night, he cried into his pillow.
Again.
Just like so many nights before.
By the time high school rolled around, the damage was done. Peter barely spoke in class anymore. He sat at the back, kept his head down, made himself invisible.
Because as long as he was invisible, you couldn’t hurt him.
Then the spider bite happened.
And suddenly, he wasn’t invisible anymore.
Peter Parker changed. He grew taller, stronger. His body hardened with muscle, his reflexes sharpened. He could do things he never dreamed of—take down Flash with a flick of his wrist, lift a car with ease, disappear into the shadows whenever he wanted.
For the first time, power coursed through his veins.
And for the first time, he liked it.
People started noticing him. Flash stopped throwing punches. Teachers paid attention. Girls whispered in the hallways.
And yet—you barely glanced at him.
Because you didn’t recognize him.
Not yet. Almost as if you had completely forgotten about him.
Peter could have left it there. He could have moved on, let the past rot where it belonged.
But then he thought about all those years. The laughter. The humiliation. The nights he went home feeling like nothing.
And something inside him snapped.
Because he had spent years under your thumb, suffering while you walked through life untouched.
Peter watched from the sidewalk as you climbed into the moving truck, your laughter echoing as your friends crowded around you for one last goodbye.
You were leaving.
Gone.
And the strangest part? He didn’t know how to feel about it.
For years, you had been the source of his misery. The reason he went home with his head down, the reason he clenched his fists under the cafeteria table, the reason he stared at the ceiling at night, wishing he could be someone else.
He should have felt relieved.
But instead, all he felt was a hollow, bittersweet emptiness curling inside him.
Because you would never see it.
You would never see the person he had become. The Peter Parker who wasn’t small and weak anymore. Who wouldn’t hesitate to put Flash on his ass. Who wasn’t the awkward, stammering kid you used to mock.
He had changed.
And you would never get to see it.
You would never look at him with wide, awed eyes. You would never realize that he wasn’t beneath you anymore. That maybe—just maybe—you should have been the one begging for his attention.
He stood there, silent, watching as the truck door slammed shut.
You never even spared him a glance.
Of course you didn’t.
Because to you, he was nothing.
But one day?
One day, you would see him again.
And when that day came, Peter would make sure you never forgot him again.

It's important to me that you all know that in my computer this is labeled as "divorce.png"
Tested out some different stylization with this one! I especially wanted to do a little studying on how Sage Cotugno does their lighting in TGS, so it's basically that but a little different. Some rambling about art and divorcees under the cut.
These two are so fucking funny to me, because their type of divorce vibe is SOOOOO specific. They feel like two divorced dads working out a custody calendar with their almost adult children. While they're arguing (meaning Fergus is arguing and Carrion is calmly messing with him for entertainment) Zach and Liam go "eh, I've been living with him longer anyways" and stay at their respective houses and Adrian and Daniel play rock paper scissors in the background to see who gets first dibs.
By god this took so motherfucking long. I'm still not entirely happy with it. That inconsistent light source is really frustrating, I had a clear idea of it in my head that I just couldn't get on the page properly, but I've also spent so long on this and sometimes you just gotta call it done. I don't really cel shade, so this was good practice at least. I definitely want to get way better at it. Especially because I love comics, and there's no way in hell I will survive if I try to do painterly shading in a comic. I also wanted to try to practice drawing clean images of characters actually interacting with each other physically, something I tend to fudge through the messiness of a sketch.
And for fun, some details:
I put both of their sigils in their respective upper corners. I did my best based on the narration, but this kind of design is not my forte, so hopefully I got it in the ballpark at least. I think they look pretty neat anyways
The background has those curtain outline things- that is intended to be a reference to the Chariot card! Chess has said that Fergus is essentially the Chariot in terms of plot relevance, so I wanted to include a little bit of that imagery. I was gonna try to put in some references to Temperance to represent Carrion (my best guess for what fits him, I don't know tarot beyond basic Google searches) but it was already pretty busy so I scrapped that.

You are an introvert female Barca player. One day you forget your art work at Barca training grounds and Gavi picks it up. He looks through the pages and see a drawing of him. He than finds the name and questions around who the person is. When Pedri tells him, he decide to go look for her until it is told she left already. He then gets her address from a female Barca player, goes to her house to which the hosue keeper let’s him in and tells her she’s in her art room area. He sees her painting and dancing to bad bunny and gavi just watches and smiles as he admires all the artwork she has (some have Barca drawings with the males and female team)… you may end it how you like.
Hey love, I changed up the request just a bit, hope you don’t mind. Also @soccerwag actually did the same request, so make sure to check it out as well!
The header for this is my own Gavi drawing that I hung up on the wall (next to Pedri🤭)—————————————————————————-

The team was just finishing up with training, Gavi and Pedri being the last ones to leave the pitch. They were dragging their feet, tired from all the exercises.
“Double check if you brought everything with you, I can’t deive you back if you forget something AGAIN” Pedri said, emphasizing the again as they had to get back yesterday for Gavi’s charger. Gavi looked around the training pitch one more time and was about to leave when he noticed something in the corner of his eye.
“I’ll catch up in a minute” he said, rushing off towards the far end on the bench.
“See, you forgot something again” Pedri yelled exiting the place and waving his hand around.
Gavi reached the object and was confused to find that it’s a notebook of some sort. He picked it up and realized that it was a sketchbook.
“What?” he mumbled to no one in particular. Peeling off the cover he met eyes with himself. He searched for the signature, eyes landing on a messy written date and name that he didn’t quite recognize. Gavi flipped trough the whole sketchbook, which he later realized was a bit disrespectful but he was curious. Especially becasue it contained most of the men’s team players. When he came back to the locker room, Pedri was already ready to go and everyone else left as well.
“The hell took you so long? What is that?” He said, pointing at the sketchbook in his hands.
“Someone’s sketchbook, she must be from the women’s team cause it was on a bench” he said.
“What, really? Let me see”
“No”
“Why?”
“I already flipped trough, it wouldn’t be nice to let you as well” Gavi said, placing the sketchbook in his bag.
“So what are you gonna do with it?”
“Return, does the name ring a bell?” He said, repeating your name to him.
“Yeah, she is from the female team. I met her once tho, she’s kinda shy. Why don’t you text Alexia or someone about her adress, I’ll drop you off now”
Gavi managed to get your adress from Alexia but not without being teased. Pedri and him reached your house.
“I’ll wait here, you sure you only want to return the sketchbook?” Pedri said teasing him as well.
“I don’t even know the girl” he said, exiting the car. When he reached your door, he suddenly got nervous. Maybe this was weird and he should’ve just left it where he found it. Meanwhile, you had your earbuds in, dancing to the music while doing another sketch. The last thing on your mind was that you forgot the sketchbook at practice this morning.
Gavi rung your doorbell and since you had music blasting, you didn’t hear it at first. You went to the kitchen to get a glass of water when you heard something in the backround. You turned towards the door and decided to check. Gavi rang once again and now you were sure someone was at the door. Taking out the earbuds you opened the door. Pablo Gavi standing on your doorstep was quite the sight that you were not ready for.
He smiled at you “Hi, I’m Pablo”
“Hi, yeah I know” you said, smiling akwardly and introducing yourself.
“Uhm, so I found this on the bench at training and wanted to return it to you” he said, handing you the sketchbook. Your heart skipped a beat.
“How’d you know where I live? Also since you know it belongs to me, I guess you went trough it?”
Gavi felt his cheeks flush at the question.
“Yeah I did, I’m sorry but I was curious. I asked your teammate about the adress”
“Thank you” you said, holding the sketchbook close to your chest.
“Also, they’re really good, you did me justice. But Pedri, generous much, he ain’t that hot” he said, making you chukle.
“Well thank you, I’m happy to hear that”
Gavi focused on your face. You were quite cute and seemed nice. He didn’t know what came over him to say this, but he did and now he has to pull it off confidently.
“I can pose for you live sometime, in a cafe or something”.
Your eyes snapped at him, heart thumping against your chest.
“So you want to go out with me?” you replied, also a lot out of character. Guess you were pulling each other to open up.
“Well, do you wanna go out?” Gavi said, smiling and crossing his hands over his chest.
“I would love to”

hi!
wondering if you have any tips on how to improve art skills/how you started off drawing?
in desperate need of some-
ty! <3
OOC: Sure! :)
When I draw, I first start off with a stickman sketch:
Such as this one. Try not to focus on the details too much. This is just a doodle sketch. You can keep deleting and erasing. You don't ALWAYS have to commit to the first sketch. For my recent Umber sketch it took me 30 minutes trying to find a pose.
2.) The next step is details, such as hands etc. I suggest going on Pinterest and just take time off to just 'study' it. In my sketchbook I have a couple pages dedicated to breaking down hands. I say I improved but I am still learning also :)
Just go to Pinterest and it would help <:) If you want to display nail biting etc. Add it in the end, that is what I do. Another 'basic' tip is before you even START on adding/'rendering' you have to just establish a base color. It can be messy and all. Here is a wip of a fanart for Kale's Fanfic 'Reasons to worry'
See how messy it is?? XD I colored over the lineart in this scene so I can try to 'paint'. If you want 'lines' in the art then make sure to use the bucket tool! Pinterest is a good inspiration on color schemes, lighting etc.
Last one I say is 'face expressions'. Try to experiment with different types of faces :D
Basically... The eyes are gonna help you portray an emotion. If the character covers/has no eyes: Express it in the mouth!
For 'creepy'/'intended horror faces'... ehh... I would ask WHAT are you scared of? Personally I feared the turtle in Lacey's Games, Momo etc.
If you ever played Roblox 'Insomnia', yeah- Those 'type' of faces tend to creep me out. So replicate that art in your drawing. Ex:
Drawing fanart of your favorite horror games help you do that :D
In the recent Umber drawing I wanted her to kind of stare at the viewer in the distant you know?
IN SUMMARY: Your art should tell you a-bit about your character :D From Color scheme to expressions. I hope you find this helpful!

TEAM BIRDRESS NINE OUT OF NINE: HEAVY WEAPONS GUY!!!!
HOLY SHIT YALL I DID IT I DKD ALL NINE
Heavy: the whooper swan. These massive swans are some of the largest birds on earth. They’re extremely devoted both as parents and as monogamous birds. Similar in vein in my mind with heavy’s devotion to his family and friends. They can be extremely loud and powerful when need be but will often prefer to use silent cues. Like all swans they are both highly intelligent and aggressive. Whooper swans are also very associated with death, and last acts before it. Swans are also some of the physically strongest birds around too capable of breaking bones while hitting someone. All of it just combined to fit Heavy well. They’re also of course native to his home of Russia.
I’ll be making a post soon for what follows this whole series, as well as just some details regarding my processes.
The usual musings and whatnot below the cut
Heavy’s bird was simple to solve, something big, strong, and from his home. So I started going down the list of largest birds until I hit swans. And at first they didn’t really click until I recalled the undying rage and devotion in a swans heart. Then I read the wiki, saw notes like their willingness to stay quiet often times and their being an omen of death and I was like “yup, seems perfect”. Did mean I had the challenge of making an interesting pose to make up for plain wings, while also making his wings appropriately intriguing.
I decided rendering out all of his like 200 almost feathers one by one was appropriately intriguing enough. It looks a lil messy still but I like it.
Gonna be honest I’m sharing the sketch too because I fuckin killed the anatomy beneath the wings on this one and I can’t not show that. The pose just did not give until a friend suggested him boxing and it worked perfectly
Here’s the wiki page I used for my info :3
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whooper_swan
It did it’s weird thing where it doesn’t wanna embed again :(
#tf2#team fortress 2#tf2 heavy#heavy tf2#team birdtress 2#god I’m gonna go finally work on my artfight stuff properly
