Just an absolute delight all around. If you've ever gone to the beach with a big family, you know this can only end in drama.

From the description, I was a bit worried this was going to be nothing but angst. I was so incredibly wrong. This fic made me laugh so hard I cried. There's a scene where Klavier locks himself in the WAA bathroom out of sheer horror and awkwardness and refuses to come out, so they send Edgeworth in after him. I was cackling aloud. The secondhand embarrassment is tangible and it's absolutely delicious.

I've posted about this fic before, actually. I've never seen Pacific Rim. I have no interest in seeing Pacific Rim. This is a Pacific Rim AU- and it is genuinely one of the best things I've read in a long time. The Klapollo and Narumitsu are great in this fic, but the sibling relationship between Apollo and Trucy is the true focus, and where it really shines. I'm not a huge fan of high stakes action most of the time, but I was on the edge of my seat reading this fic. (This one is rated Mature for swearing and adult humor)

ACE ATTORNEY FIC RECOMMENDATIONS!

(all mostly sfw) (i'll make a separate list of nsfw ones) in no particular order, besides the first few!

Pressure (pushing down on me) - genuinely the best ace attorney fic i've read. between the characterization, expansion of plotbeats, the prose, etc. Pressure elaborates on and reinterprets canon scenes taking place in the main trilogy. Obviously narumitsu flavored. CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS ENOUGH.

Kindred - my FAVORITE, genuinely a comfort fic i've reread at least three times. miles adopts Pess, a borzoi dog tied to a murder case. very narumitsu flavored

Indefensible - also HIGH up there as a favorite, a very robust murder case with fantastic characterization across the board. it's got narumitsu, it's got franmaya, it's got drama. everything you need. there IS a few sex scenes, but the author warns you in the chapter descriptions if thats not your thing.

I saw a post expressing some frustration with the state of f/f shipping in the Ace Attorney fandom, and there are definitely some elements they discussed that I agree with.

While I don't feel that FranMaya is exactly a "crackship" per se, I do agree that it's overly represented given the amount of time that the characters actually spend with one another in canon (which is next to nothing.) The pairing is largely speculative and results from Maya and Franziska being considered as sidekicks to or subcategorized to to their male counterparts, Phoenix and Miles.

It definitely comes off as very "pair the spares" to me– specifically in I feel like the pairing got started more because people ship narumitsu rather than finding Maya and Franiziska as having any chemistry in their own right.

The post I read was unfortunate also correct that a large subsection of the fandom will go off if you do pair either of them with anyone else.  There tends to be a low tolerance in the Ace Attorney fandom in some ways for shipping outside of the main top pairings-- this isn't unique to femlash, people will come at you for the wrong slash pairings, or het pairings also.

Franziska and Adrian Andrews was brought up, which is a pairing that I personally find very compelling, and plan to write more of in the future.

I feel like if Adrian was less of a "one case wonder" and got more screen time that this could have developed into a fairly common pairing.

Another pairing discussed was another favorite of mine, Trucy and Pearl. This particular pairing I think suffers from the heavy infantilization of both the characters.

While in the last game, Trucy is 17 and Pearl is 18, both of them are introduced to the series as children, which I think makes many fans hesitant to write them in any romantic or shippy material.

However, I feel like the best way to combat all of this is the same as combating most fandom problems simply to keep putting the material out there that you want to see, in whatever capacity you enjoy, be that fic, art, edits, meta or just talking about the pairings.

So I've had this idea swimming in my head for a bit and I considered doing a fic about it but honestly I just want to do a headcanon write up for now at least. So narumitsu Franmaya post SOJ kids!

So I think after SOJ the elders in Kurain are going to start really getting on Maya's ass about having a baby. And it's getting really annoying. She been dating/married to Franziska for years at this point but I think they're solidly convinced she's having her "lesbian phase" and that once Pearl is of age and doesn't need looking after anymore and she's officially the Master of Kurain she's going to find herself a husband and settle down.

Maya fucking hates this. She wants them to properly recognise her relationship and while her relationship with the entire concept of having kids is very complicated, she doesn't want Channeling to die out so she condededs that fine, she'll have the damn kids but Franziska is being their mom.

Franziska has her own complicated ideas around legacy but is equally getting annoyed but she recognises this is important for Maya's culture and she doesn't dislike kids in general, she's been a good Tante to Trucy and while her relationship with Pearl is rocky she's thinks she's done a perfect job being her quasi step mother.

So they concoct a plan.

One day they sit Miles, Phoenix and Trucy down and say they're going to try IVF and they ask Miles to be the donor because in the absence of true male Von Karma DNA, honourary Von Karma DNA will do the job. Phoenix is completely on board because hes been listening to Maya complain about this for literal years and wants it to be over and done with for her. Trucy finds the idea hilarious because it promises to make their already insane family tree even more convoluted and she thrives in that chaos. She's also very aware that's she's presently the baby of the family and is a bit worried about her dad's empty nesting. Miles is honoured to be asked.

They do the thing. Then a few months later the Wright-Edgeworth's get a panicked phone call. Maya has just had a check up and has found out that she is pregnant with triplets. But one of them is male. 3 kids was going to be a lot anyway but there's enough people in Kurain that they can make it work. But Maya is very very aware of how weird the village is around men and really doesn't want her kid raised in that environment. And Phoenix and Miles, bleeding heart chronic adopters that they are agree that they'll raise the boy and Maya and Franziska can raise the girls in Kurain. So begins the chaos.

Miles does an insane amount of prep for the baby. He reads literally every parenting book he can get his hands on. He might as well have an honourary degree in child development after the amount of research he does. He calls up old contacts from universities he's taught at to get access to papers, he complies reading lists, he makes binders full of note, he goes completely overboard because he's going to raise this kid right. (I honestly think he did this when he first became involved in Trucy's life too but those stages of development are vastly different to that of a baby)

Franziska, does not. She is convinced she knows everything she could possibly need to in order to do this perfectly. Pearl turned out fine. These kids will too. Miles keeps sending her papers he's read and she will skim them, states that she already knew all of that and tell him he's over reacting. However she does do a good number of therapy sessions in preparation to get her head straight about what stuff Manfred did that was good and what stuff he did that was bad.

Phoenix is panicking and being way way too attentive of Maya. He's calling every few hours to make sure she's ok. Not because he's worried about the babies, though he is, but because his best friend/kid sister is carrying 3 human beings and he's terrified she's going to get hurt. He will cross the bridge of raising them when he gets there, he did fine with Trucy and he's kind of a dad by nature at this point.

Maya Hates being pregnant. She despises it. She can't do all the cool active stuff she's used to, Nick is being overbearing as well as all the other general stuff that sucks with being pregnant. She is not enjoying this and is actually kinda glad it's triplets because that means she has 2 female heirs an she never has to do this ever again. She is however also not stressing about raising them. She has some basics covered like making damn sure no one pits them against eachother and that they can chose among the pair of them who's going to inherit her title when they're good and ready. They'll need a certain level of spiritual training obviously but she's determined to give them as normal a life as possible and hopefully when they're old enough have them travel a lot with her and Franziska while Franziska is working.

This is a more complicated other headcanon but I think this is around the time Trucy starts properly coming to terms with the fact that the Gramaryes suck ass and she doesn't actually want anything to do with them. So she's kind of doing some soul searching and decides to take a gap year after school to figure out if she wants to be a magician or not by trying to define herself by something else. This gap year ends up manifesting by being an investigative assistant full time at the WAA while also trying out literally everything else she's ever had a passing interest in. She's figuring herself out during this time basically.

The babies come. Nick is incredibly overbearing during the labor. Franziska is just focusing on helping Maya through it and Miles is stressed the fuck out that this is happening and real.

And so Richard (after gumshoe), Sakura (named after the Pink Princess), and Brunhilde (named by Franziska because it means Armoured for battle which Maya thought sounded cool as hell) are born. The elders are very upset about how the names don't follow traditional fey naming convention but Maya doesn't care. She wants these kids to grow up knowing the exist outside of the village and giving Brunhilde a German name makes is even clearer that Franziska is her mother and nothing is changing that fact.

Maya and Franziska have a basically uneventful time raising the girls. The elders have been prepared for this for years. Maya goes by Mom/Mommy, Fran goes by Mama. As they planned they take them all over the globe with Frans work with Interpol. Maya gets to call it a holiday regularly and fobs off the elders by saying that they'll be better trained by being more worldly. She'll look after the kids as Fran works and when they go back to Kurain they switch and Fran will take cases in the japanifonia prosecutors office when the elders want to train them. They're a well oiled machine. Brunhilde ends up taking more after Fran and Sakura takes more after Miles. Brunhilde is actually really good at channeling but decides to let Sakura take the title because she enjoys it more. The elders are actually pretty glad about this because Brunhilde is absolutely terrifying. She got the Edgeworth glare which combined with supernatural powers makes her seem like something out of the Omen. Franziska and Maya couldn't be more proud. Sakura is a little more mild mannered but given her parents it's not by much. She's still a forceful presence but she's just typically a lot more easy going. She is genuinely passionate as hell about Channeling, she got Maya and Miles' autism and it's becomes her special interest. She's studious and devoted and really cares about what she does. She ends up doing a ton to revolutionise channeling when she becomes master and basically brings it into a new golden age. The two of them are close and their parents make certain to makes sure there's absolutely no bad blood there.

Miles and Phoenix have a slightly more chaotic time raising Richard. They're both workaholics and also running major legal bodies so figuring out how to make time to raise a baby amongst that is difficult.

They start with Phoenix taking paternity leave and calling in to talk with Athena. Trucy at this point is still in her final year so the office is quiet as hell and Athena HATES it. She needs a busy environment and being alone in the office is driving her mad.

So that last like a month before they just decide to baby proof the WAA and have Phoenix look after Richard while he's there. Athena likes babies (like come on, she does) but the crying is difficult on her ears so Phoenix gets her some very strong noise cancelling headphones and the pair of them come up with an insane series of methods of non verbally communicating. Phoenix and Athena barely have a braincell of common sense between them so they end up with various whiteboards all over the office to write stuff on and a nerf gun each to get each others attention.

One Apollo's first return visit from Kura'in with this as the new status quo Richard nearly chokes on a dart and he asks why they didn't just both learn ASL to which Athena and Phoenix both look at each other because the sensible solutions never even occurred to them. They learn ASL after that.

The first time they have to investigate a case Phoenix just straps up with a dad harness and takes the baby to the crime scene. This goes predictably poorly. Richard won't stop crying while they're talking to witnesses and Athena has to put on her head phones which means Phoenix has to write down everything the witness says to show her but his handwriting is terrible and he can't spell when writing so quickly so Athena keeps misunderstanding what's been said. Richard throws up on some evidence. They then get threatened by some goons which when Phoenix reports back to Miles about his day nearly gives him a heart attack.

After that one of 3 things happens. If Trucy is free, she'll either babysit her kid brother or investigate with Athena, if she isn't and Miles is free/just doing work in his office, they'll drop Richard off with him for the day where Miles has baby supplies ready. If neither of them are free, Phoenix will stay in the office and look after Richard while Athena has him on face time. That being said I'd give it 3 years before that kid's back to being dragged along to crime scenes. It's the Wright kid way.

I feel like the courthouse probably has a day care so they drop him off there during trials

When Richard is in Miles office is comparatively calm compared with the WAA. Klavier comes in to coo and sing him lullabies. Taka will sometimes take vigilant watch when he's sleeping. Simon will on occasion ask about his psychological development. But it's a lot more sane. When he's a bit older I'm reasonably certain that Simon will let him play with his katana at least once but other than that its fine.

Despite this Richard grows up to be basically fine. Weird girl energy as comes with the territory but they try to make sure he's has as normal a childhood as possible. He takes after Maya a lot which is either a biological thing or just kind of what happens when a considerable chunk of your devolpment is done in a WAA that is lacking Apollo. Miles is keeping a detailed track on all his development milestones and he's pretty far ahead but reasonably so. He's smart but he's not a Prodigy which they take to mean basically healthy. If and when he ever does struggle with something they're very good about telling him that's ok and that helping him improve while also making sure he knows it's not a moral failing to struggle. He's aware that Brunhilde and Sakura are his siblings but it's explained more as 3 kids being a lot to handle rather than the stuff about Kurain being weird. He sees them both regularly and all 4 of them love all 3 kids to pieces.

In terms of appearance as they get older, I think Richard has Maya's round soft features but Miles' grey hair and eye colour. Brunhilde is kind of the opposite, she's got the dark hair and piercing blue eyes but the sharp Edgeworth features. She also got his shitty eye sight and has glasses from a very young age. Sakura has grey narrowed eyes but round cheeks and dark hair.

Hi! My name is Jen and welcome to my writing + fandom blog.

I'll mainly be posting about writing: info about my wips, my poetry, opinions about tropes/writing things, writing tips, etc.

I'm also really interested in typology, mainly MBTI (cognitive functions!!) and enneagram.

My current obsession is Ace Attorney. My favorite characters are Miles Edgeworth, Phoenix Wright and Franziska von Karma. I mainly ship Wrightworth/Narumitsu but also Franmaya, Godonix, and Klapollo. Original trilogy spoilers will not be tagged.

Femslash Ships to Get to Know Me

As I figured she would, Annie (@udaberriwrites) went and tagged me for the other half of my list! You can find the M/M post over here~

**Rules**: Name at least five (but no upper limit) femslash (F/F) ships you love. Each from a different fandom.

1 - Twilight & Life and Death

I'd be quite remiss if I didn't mention the two femslash ships I'm writing right now - Rosalie/Eleanor (Elle) and Alice/Jessamine (Mina)! Like with the slash pairs I'm writing in that world, Carlisle/Beau and Edward/Mike, I didn't ship them at first (despite being the femslash version of canon pairs)... but as I wrote on, I ended up loving them!

2 - Teen Wolf

Well, my undisputed femslash OTP is Allydia (Allison/Lydia), and I love them so much that they inspired how I went about writing the above sapphic vampire ships! Also, I almost chose Teen Wolf instead of Twilight/Life and Death for my worldbuilding concept, and if I had, I'd be writing Allydia and my slash OTP, Steter, right now.

3 - Fire Emblem Three Houses

There are quite a few femslash FE3H ships I love, but my favorite is definitely Edelthea (Edelgard/Dorothea). In fact, three years ago, I started writing a Beauty and the Beast AU and it was supposed to include both Edelthea and Ferdibert (Hubert/Ferdinand) as the main ships, but that plan went bust when I left the fandom soon after >.>

4 - Puella Magi Madoka Magica

Oh, my love, MadoHomu (Kaname Madoka/Akemi Homura)! This pair of tragic lesbians really has my heart. I remember being stuck on them for months after I finished watching the anime... and honestly, I saw the potential for the ship to be written in an even darker manner, though it's not something I found all that often in the fandom.

5 - Ace Attorney

Salty and Momo might be shocked, but I've shipped FranMaya (Franziska von Karma/Maya Fey) for quite a while! They were the second ship I fell into after Narumitsu, in fact... but I will say that Momo's way of writing that pair definitely had me falling more into the pair than I had before! I'm also a major fan of Mia Fey/Lana Skye - there's just something powerful about that duo~

Huh... I can't pin out as many similarities between my femslash ships as I could with my slash ships. All those ladies have some dark stuff going on... but unlike with some of the slash ships, the dark and/or ambiguous stuff is more in the surroundings than the dynamic itself.

Oh, but they all have that magic/supernatural component to them! Vampires in #1, werewolves and banshees in #2, magic in #3, magical girl stuff in #4, and spirits and possession in #5, so...

favourite canon pairing: I would say miego but their canonness is a little nebulous. Like they were definitely *something* but it's unclear whether they were ever officially a couple--or just had feelings on both sides. So I am going to say Dessie/Ron.

worst pairing ever: what if I said narumitsu, what then? Honest answer is probably franmaya. Is it objectively a bad ship, not at all. I just don't "get it." Like I "get" narumayo, narumitsu, klapollo, etc even if I don't find them particularly interesting. But franmaya...it's just...they barely interact in canon and when they do, it isn't really particularly meaningful imo. Just slightly antagonistic but not in a fun, foe yay way like with klema or langworth. It feels like they just got paired because they are two female characters that are around the same age--and because fandom decided narumayo and fradrian were "too problematic." And even if we are sticking to the narrow criteria of female characters between 16-18 in the Trilogy timeline, both of them seem like they would "work" much better with Kay or Ema than with each other. a pairing you want to see more: every ship that isn't narumitsu, klapollo, and franmaya lol. Honestly, there are so many really interesting pairings in this fandom that just get slept on, so I am going to try to limit myself to particularly rare "rare pairs" that I feel could and should have so much more content than they do. Lana/Godot (specifically in the post-canon, hurt/comfort way), Apollo/Nahyuta, Franziska/Aura, Lang/Franziska, Apollo/Edgeworth, Edgeworth/Blackquill, Lana/Blackquill, Klavier/Larry, Edgeworth/Justine.

that pairing everyone likes but you’re like “lol no”: narumitsu. I can only ever tolerate if it's a poly ship with Kristoph, Lang, or Larry--and even then, I prefer the other iterations of the triad. Ironically I think I could really like narumitsu if and only if it wasn't the fandom juggernaut pairing--as a lot of the things I like about krisnix, cykesquill and/or nahyupollo are the same things that other people like about narumitsu. But 90 times out of 100, my brain sees the popular ship and is just like "ha ha, nope" and finds a rare pair to be insane about instead.

favorite non-romantic pair: Kay & Edgeworth & Gumshoe (though it's okay if it's kay + romantic gumworth). Their dynamic just resonates with me in a way that none of the other play character + assistant(s) do nearly as strong. I was largely indifferent to Miles before I was exposed to Investigations. I liked him well enough, but I never really understood why the fandom was so fixated on him. But Kay and Gumshoe--and especially both of them together-- are such wonderful foils to him, as their differences and similarities allow us to get to see the "real" Edgeworth--as opposed to the idealized version of him that Phoenix has or the "Demon Prosecutor" that his reputation conveys.

UT/DR- I've played through chapters 1-2 for Deltarune (including secret bosses- silliest go brrr), and I recently finished true pacifist in Undertale! My fave characters are pretty much all the blue characters in Deltarune, and MTT and Napstablook in Undertale. I've also been playing Undertale Yellow, but I just beat Starlo so no spoilers! Ace Attorney- I've finished the PWAA trilogy, but nothing else, no spoilers! I ship NaruMitsu, Magshoe, and I'm ok with FranMaya, though I'm not quite sure what my stance on it is yet. MCYT- I watch Scott Smajor, Hermitcraft(mostly S6-9), Empires(S1-S2, but I prefer S1), Traffic Series, and I love the watcher stuff. I ship a lot of things, but my earliest ships that hold a place in my heart are Desert Duo and Flower Husbands. I only ship characters, not CCs. Tangled the Series- I've seen all of it, and love Vat7K stuff. I ship Varigo and New Dream. Amphibia-I love this fandom. Spranne against the world! I lowkey ship Sashanarcy. Misc Cartoons- I've seen up to season six of Adventure Time, all of Steven Universe, all of The Owl House, all of Gravity Falls, I want to watch Avatar at some point, and I'm working on getting through all of Pokemon. 12. the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them

Alright listen aitsf/aini fandom. I get why a lot of y'all don't like Lien. His interactions with Kizuna early on aren't great and there's a valid critque to be said about that dynamic perpetuating creepy stalkerish tendencies "wearing a woman down until she accepts a relationship". BUT there's a lot more to him than that which is super compelling. Lien at the chronological start of the game is a former criminal trying to better himself and feeling bummed out because he got fired from a legitimate job he had because of his criminal history. Ultimately his relationship with Kizuna motivates Lien to better himself and not give up and find a job that suits his skill set. I think the exploration of classism and the struggles of trying to better yourself in a society that believes "once a criminal always a criminal" in Lien is compelling plus he's just a big dumb guy that loves his girlfriend. YES their first meeting was bad but dammit Lien being Kizuna's legs for her so they can dance is so fucking cute and it fucking got me. Sorry haters in this house I love Lien Twining.

17. there should be more of this type of fic/art

I think there should be Sam and Max fic that actually fits closer to Steve Purcell's style. I've seen some really great fanart/fan comics that I think feel very Sam and Max and fit the style of its various incarnations but fic is kind of a different story. I've definitely read some INCREDIBLE sam and max fics but overall most of them are kinda mediocre and I think it's because a lot of sam and max writers are young and aren't quite equipped to tell a story that fits sam and max, mostly by treating them too seriously. Sam and Max is first and foremost a comedy and even canon at its darkest still manages to have plenty of genuinely funny moments. There's nothing wrong with trying to explore a more serious side to the characters mind you but a lot of it in my opinion takes it too far to the point where Sam and Max don't feel like Sam and Max.

Okay buffy fandom, maybe I am looking in the wrong place by why is there Robin Wood fandom. I know season 7 sucks but Robin is a highlight of that season for me. I think he's a very compelling character, the son of a slayer who lost his mom at a young age and takes up the fight himself. I don't think the show really used his character to the fullest potential but that's what fandom is supposed to be for. At least it is when the character with untapped potential is white but ALAS here we are. Anyway I love Robin a lot I don't talk about him much but I think he's neat and I wish there was more appreciation for him out there.

Probably franmaya. Like I used to really like not like it when I was younger (mostly because Maya is my favourite character while I didn't care much for Franziska. Like I didn't hate franziska per se I just didn't like her as much as other. idk what to tell you somehow I didn't get the crush on franziska gene that every other sapphic woman has) but due to it being a common background ship in narumitsu fics and one really good analysis post tumblr breaking down maya and franziska's similarities in a way that actually made it click I've softened on the ship. I still won't actively seek it out but I might reblog a cute fanart here or there if I come across it.

Phoenix- 16 years old, Human. Stuck in boiling ilies but trying to get home. Attending HexSide and is in the bard and potion tracks. Can only do magic with glyphs though.

Phoenix uniform:

Mia- 28 years old, Witch. Older sister/guardian of Maya and mentor to Phoenix. Just to be in the emperor's coven but left after her mom was killed.

Maya-15 years old,Witch. Younger sister of Mia. Trying to help Phoenix get home. Attending Hexside in Plant and Abomination tracks.

Maya’s uniform:

Pearl- 10 years old, Witch. Younger cousin of Mia and Maya. Pretty good with magic for such a young age.

Miles- 17 years old, Demon (Vampire). One of the golden guards, originally was tasked with getting rid of Phoenix but ends up befriending him. Can only do magic if he drinks Witch blood (he can live without but he’s weaker)

Franziska-15 years old, Grimwalker. One of the golden guards, Originally tasked with getting rid of Phoenix but realizes Manfred is evil and ends up helping them. Physically strong but can’t do magic.

Franzika’s golden guard uniform:

Emperor Von Karma/ Manfred- Unknown age, Human. The emperor of the boiling Isles, “Father” to Franzika and mentor to Miles. Has to eat palisman to keep his curse at bay (the same as in the show).

Diego/Godot- 30 years old, Witch. Head of the abomination coven. Dated Mia, once she dies, he blames Phoenix for her death and tries to kill him (though he makes sure no harm comes to Maya or Pearl)

Plot:

Phoenix is about to be sent to a camp for troubled teens when he sees Mia’s palisman. He follows it and ends up in the boiling Isles, there he meets Mia and Maya and starts to learn magic. Miles and Franzika are set with the task of getting rid of Mia. They attempt multiple times but each time they fail.

-No clue for this part yet-

After a while Miles and Franzika finally capture Mia, Phoenix and Maya try to save her but she is executed by Emperor Von Karma. Miles feels bad about it (especially since Mia was killed right in front of Phoenix) so he goes to talk to Phoenix. (This would be the first time you see his face or hear his name)

-Once again I stuff happens here I just have no clue yet-

.Pearl's mother (Morgen) is arrested and Pearl starts to live with Phoenix and Maya. This is also the time that Phoenix and Maya get Palisman (I haven’t picked one for Maya but Phoenix has a phoenix named Ash).

-man I thought I had more of this plot thought out-

Maya and Franzika get trapped in Manfreds mind. This Is when Franzika learns that she’s a Grimwalker and Maya learns he’s the one who killed her parents and her sister (Mia/Phoenix never mentioned it and just said they died). Meanwhile, Miles figures out that a past version of Franziska killed his dad, Phoenix follows him and comforts him when he finds out. Though soon after Pearl calls him over a walkie-talkie and says that Maya is trapped in Manfreds mind, he runs off to go help her.

After a bit of effort, they manage to get Franziska and Maya out. Franzika starts to have a panic attack but Maya comforts her. Maya catches Phoenix up about what happened and they have a chat about what happened to Mia. Franzika decides to stay with them, saying that it will only be temporary until she figures out what to do. At that moment Phoenix remembers what happened with Miles and runs off to talk to him. He goes back to where they were before and sees a letter (aka the Edgeworth chooses death letter). He goes back home but doesn’t tell anyone else about what happened.

-2 weeks later-

Franziska is still staying with Phoenix,Maya and Pearl. While Phoenix and Maya are trying to shop for food, they run into Miles (like Miles and Phoenix run into each). Miles is panicking since he’s trapped outside in the sunlight (which burns him). Phoenix and Maya take him back to their home, where Miles explains everything he learnt (about being a vampire). The others explain their plan to try and overthrow Manfred before he goes to the human realm.

-Times passes as all of them plan and such-

Phoenix makes sure that Pearls won’t be anywhere near the fight when it’s happening. After that The rest of the kids sneak into the palace and fight Manfred. They managed to beat him but the door was already open so Phoenix had to go before I closed. Miles decided to go with him

Welcome to my Flufftober collection!

Hi! Welcome to my Flufftober collection! I decided to do @flufftober this year, so I can help in improving my writing work ethic. I’m sure the deadline will kick my butt into finally actually writing something. I was originally going to do Whumptober cause I thought it was the only October prompt list that wasn’t Kinktober, but then I discovered Flufftober and immediately fell in love. I love fluff, it’s so cute and sweet. So, an entire month of basically writing fluff? I’m in heaven!

I’ll be writing mostly ships, but there will be platonic and familial stuff here too. Some of the chapters have plots, and some of them don’t, it all depends on the prompt to be honest. I’ll try to keep my chapters over 1k words but under 10k words, though there is a chance I might go over or under those words. I’ll also be a lot less prosey in these entries, so sorry if that bothers you!

I’ll be editing this post as I add more chapters, linking them here so you can go to a specific chapter that you want to read. I’ll include the prompt, the ship, and the summary of every day. Summary:

After Apollo and Klavier lose an eating competition to Trucy, they now owe a dare to Trucy. Trucy at first has no ideas, but a talk with her father suddenly gives her the perfect idea. So Trucy dares Apollo and Klavier to switch clothes on the day of an important trial. Apollo hates it, and Klavier loves it.

Day 2

Prompt: “You’ve told your parents?”

Ship: Narumitsu

Summary:

Phoenix has told his parents about their new relationship, much to the dismay of Edgeworth. When Phoenix tells him that his parents invited them to go to dinner together, He almost faints on the spot. With the help of Franziska (and an earpiece), Edgeworth tackles the worst nightmare of every boyfriend…meeting the parents.

Day 3

Prompt: Caught in the Rain

Ship: Franmaya

Summary:

Franziska wants to plan the perfect romantic date for their anniversary, and so she does. Franziska plans every detail, from the restaurant to the earrings that she wears. However, her plans are ruined when it rains, forcing them to eat inside the restaurant, and not on the terrace like she had planned. Maya doesn’t seem to mind, though.

Day 4

Prompt: Supporting Silly Quirks/Hobbies

Ship: Franmaya

Summary:

Franziska did not understand cosplay, she thought it was playing dress up but with extra steps. So when Maya gets into the hobby of cosplay, Franziska is very much confused. Maya ropes Franziska into her cosplaying shenanigans, making her take pictures of Maya’s cosplays, helping Maya with makeup, and even doing her hair. Franziska doesn’t understand, but remains supportive.

Day 5

Prompt: “Oh no, you’re a Morning Person!”

Ship: Klapollo

Summary:

Apollo and Klavier start living together, and it’s…nice. Klavier likes it, it’s nice to sleep next to the person that he loves, cuddling with them as he drifts into the peaceful realm of slumber. However, Klavier finds out that Apollo is a morning person. It’s slightly inconvenient, but Klavier learns to live with it.

Day 6

Prompt: Candles, Lanterns, Fairy Lights

Ship: Franmaya

Summary:

Mia never had a traditional Khura’inese funeral, something that has bothered Franziska ever since Maya has brought it up. So, on the anniversary of Mia’s death, Franziska decides to honor Mia’s death in the Khura’inese way to the best of her abilities. She has no idea what she’s doing, but Maya appreciates it.

Day 7

Prompt: Movie Marathon

Ship: Franmaya

Summary:

Maya loved the Steel Samurai Franchise, she was obsessed with everything Steel Samurai. Despite being her girlfriend, Franziska has never watched Steel Samurai. Upon finding this out, Maya immediately starts planning a Steel Samurai movie marathon for the two. Franziska reluctantly agrees, but at some point she starts to have fun. Not that she’d ever admit that, though.

Day 8

Prompt: Shooting Stars

Ship: Narumitsu

Summary:

Phoenix takes Edgeworth, Apollo, and Trucy out camping in the woods. With Trucy’s excitement over getting lost “living in the wild”, Apollo’s fears of anything creepy and crawling, and Edgeworth’s overpreparing and constant complaints, it ends up being a disaster. Though, watching the starry night with Edgeworth while the kids sleep in the tents makes up for it.

Day 9

Prompt: Winning a Teddy for the Other

Ship: Klapollo

Summary:

When Klavier finds that he’s run out of date ideas with Apollo, he goes to the smartest person he knows, Ema. Ema suggests taking Apollo out to the carnival for a date, and Klavier decides to take him there. While they’re at the carnival, Klavier finds out something shocking. It turns out, Apollo is…scarily good at carnival games.

Day 10

Prompt: Love Language

Ship: Narumitsu

Summary:

One day, Phoenix wants to take a “What is your love language?” quiz online with Edgeworth. Edgeworth thought it was stupid, but Phoenix’s excitement over this inane moronic quiz quickly convinces him. It all goes smoothly at first, that is until Edgeworth gets the love language “Physical touch”. He does not like that, not one bit.

Day 11

Prompt: Poetry, Art, Music, Craft

Ship: Klapollo

Summary:

Klavier has always been the one who gave gifts in the relationship, whether that be songs or manga. Though, Apollo wants to try to be the one giving the gifts in the relationship. With the help of Phoenix, Apollo tries making Klavier a painting and a poem. He’s bad at both of them, but Klavier loves his gifts despite that.

Day 12

Prompt: “You kept this?”

Ship: Narumitsu

Summary:

Edgeworth kept his Signal Samurai keychain, it was a reminder of his old life and the ones he unwillingly left behind. Phoenix kept his Signal Samurai keychain too, it was a relic of his old friend and a reminder to never give up. One day when talking about the Signal Samurai, they’re both surprised that the other kept it.

Day 13

Prompt: Secret Family Recipe

Ship: Franmaya

Summary:

It’s always Franziska planning the dates, and Maya wants to try planning a date once. With Pearl, Penny, Larry and Phoenix’s help, Maya plans a date with Franziska on the beach. Maya cooks a secret Fey recipe for the date, something she hasn’t done without her mother’s help. The cooking process starts out disastrously, but Franziska seems to like it.

Day 14

Prompt: Falling Asleep Together

Ship: Klapollo

Summary:

Apollo loved anime and manga, constantly consuming that kind of media any time that he has free time. Klavier doesn’t understand why he likes it, but he does want to. When Apollo offers that Klavier binge watch an anime with him one evening, Klavier accepts immediately, in the hopes that it would help him understanding it.

Day 15

Prompt: Accidents don’t just happen accidentally

Ship: Narumitsu

Summary:

Phoenix is the president of the art club and always carrying a paintbrush. Edgeworth is the president of the debate club and always carrying a book. The two accidentally bump into each other in a hallway, and after that they become friends. Though, as time went on they both realize that their meeting wasn’t as accidental as they thought.

Day 16

Prompt: “I hate you” - “I love you too”

Ship: Klapollo

Summary:

Even though Klavier and Apollo are together, Klavier is still annoying as hell. Klavier constantly teases Apollo, he’s always so needy and clingy, and it seemed to be his life mission to embarrass Apollo at every opportunity. Apollo still loved him, despite how annoying he was. But one day when he’s had enough, Apollo tries annoying Klavier back.

Day 17

Prompt: Animal Shelter

Ship: Klapollo

Summary:

When the loneliness gets to him, Klavier decides to adopt a dog. He goes to a local animal shelter, and that’s where he meets a cute volunteer. When he finds out that the volunteer also works at a local animal grooming shop too, Klavier gets his dog groomed there so he can get to know the volunteer.

Day 18

Prompt: Soulmate AU

Ship: Klapollo

Summary:

Apollo didn’t believe in soulmates. Even though he could see the red strings of fate of people, he still was skeptical. He thought the idea of soulmates were silly. He never cared about his soulmate, and he ignored the red string tied to his pinky finger. So imagine his surprise when the flashy prosecutor Klavier Gavin was his soulmate.

Day 19

Prompt: Hot Chocolate

Ship: Franmaya

Summary:

It’s Christmas! The time of holiday cheer and Christmas spirit, and Franziska hated it. She hated everything about the holidays, and she had never in her life ever celebrated Christmas. Maya signs them up for couples’ Christmas activities, much to her dismay. It starts out disastrously, but getting to drink hot chocolate with Maya Fey makes up for it.

Day 20

Prompt: Bedtime Stories

Ship: Narumitsu

Summary:

When Phoenix is out late working at the Borscht Bowl, he asks Edgeworth’s help in babysitting Trucy until he comes back. Edgeworth agrees, eager to spend more time with the human ray of sunshine. However, complications arise when he has to tell Trucy a bedtime story, and he has to make one up on the spot.

Day 21

Prompt: Kiss for Good Luck

Summary:

Klavier is nervous about an upcoming trial, since not only the defendant, but also the victim and witness are all A-list celebrities. Edgeworth and Phoenix were in a relationship, something that Trucy was delighted by. She was glad that her father had someone to love him, to care for and take care of him in ways that Trucy never could. Summary:

Maya loves hugging people, hugging her friends and family, and most of all she loves hugging her wonderful girlfriend, much to Franziska’s dismay. Franziska hates physical touch, though she tolerates it whenever Maya hugs her. She knows that her touch aversion bothers Maya. So, in a way to make up for it, Franziska tries hugging Maya for once.

Summary:

Klavier isn’t very good at dancing, something that surprised Apollo. He’s a rockstar, he should be good at dancing dammit! Apollo however, has been taking dancing classes ever since he was a child, so he considered himself to be pretty good. One day, when Klavier has to dance for his first solo song, he goes directly to Apollo for help.

Summary:

While Franziska stays over at Maya’s apartment, it ends up raining late at night. The two decide that it’d be best that Franziska stay over for the night, and for her to leave in the morning. However, there’s a small problem, there’s only one bed! Franziska and Maya end up sleeping next to each other, sharing a blanket.

Prompt: Reunion

Summary:

Phoenix is an art student at Ivy University, studying to become an artist. Edgeworth is a law student at Themis University, studying to become a prosecuting attorney. The two once knew each other, but they were separated at the age of nine. One day, the two happen to be at the same library for different reasons, and they reunite.

Prompt: Picnic

Summary:

Edgeworth takes Phoenix out on a picnic in a dog park for a date, hoping for the day to be romantic. Though with Pess peeing and pooping all over the place, Pess eating the bacon in their BLT sandwiches, and dogs fighting everywhere, it ends very badly. Phoenix doesn’t seem to mind, though. In fact, he finds it hilarious.

Summary:

It’s fall, the leaves turning orange and the wind growing colder. Edgeworth has left for France a few weeks ago, with promises of coming back after two months. Everything reminds Phoenix of Edgeworth, especially the leaves. The changing leaves and seasons remind Phoenix of Edgeworth, and how he has changed so much. Phoenix decides to write him a letter.

Summary:

Franziska writes a diary, and she has never shown it to anyone, something Maya understood. Diaries are private, an unabashed display of one’s thoughts and feelings. Franziska was never good at feelings, and she was worse at sharing them. Maya never expected to see Franziska’s diary. So it was a surprise when Franziska showed her the diary one day.

Prompt: A Sweet Treat

Summary:

Klavier has noticed how stressed Apollo has been lately, more stressed than he usually was. With juggling 3 cases at once, Mikeko with an injured lag and a cast, and a new ruthless prosecutor, it was understandable that he’d be stressed. Klavier decides to do something about this, and he takes out Apollo to a cafe for a cheesecake.
