Anyway I have to start writing again. I have some of the next part of Car Crash Hearts written but I'd like to work on something else for a minute.

The descriptions are awful but there's not a lot of room to expand on them.

1. Pierre majors in sports cardiology and his roommate Esteban is an athlete. Esteban ends up in F1 at the end, with Pierre as his personal physician.

2. Pierre works in the hatchery with baby dinosaurs and Esteban is on asset containment security. Disaster strikes and they're left behind when the Evac boats leave. They have to work together to get off the island.

3. Pierre is a highly advanced state of the art android and you can't really tell the difference between him and a human unless you were to open him up. Esteban is his technician and the only person in the world who can fix him/maintenance him. But something happens that ends up in Pierre and Esteban going on the run (Estie has now technically stolen this android) and they fall in begrudging love along the way.

4. Pierre is found half-turned. Esteban puts him out of his misery and finishes the job (he's been a vampire for a while). However, Pierre's other sire comes back and makes a lot of problems for them. More than they are prepared to deal with.

5. If you haven't read the first part of Car Crash Hearts, I implore you to. But yeah Pierre gets into a horrible car accident (personal, not on the track) and Esteban is still listed as his emergency contact. He's left to pick up the pieces and deal with his complicated feelings regarding Pierre while he's watching the poor guy fight for his life in a hospital bed.

6. Pierre gets into a crash on track and he ends up paralyzed from the waist down and unable to drive. There are some other medical conditions as well. He requires a full time caretaker. Nyck de Vries is who Pierre's mum ends up hiring. He's a licensed counselor, a registered nurse, and one of the best caretakers in the world. Even he is not prepared for the wonder and mess that is a broken hearted, stubborn, scorned Pierre Gasly. Angst, healing, and love abound here.

7. Train AU - Pierre and Charles grow up poor (I haven't decided on the time period yet but it's far in the past). Pierre has a plethora of medical conditions (heart condition, severe asthma, among other things) and he's unable to do much of anything at all. Charles, even as kids, always put Pierre first and stayed loyally by his side. He ends up coming up with a plan to get them to a better life and maybe finally get Pierre into a doctor...but it's unknown if Pierre will be strong enough to survive the trip. Charles tries anyway.

8. Pierre rejects Charles. Charles turns to Esteban as a rebound. Esteban is incredibly wary, but he can't deny Charles what he needs. Things get a bit hairy, Esteban gets hurt a few times, but they do work it out in the end. Estie/Charles in the end.

Good sunday Marte, that's interesting. This discussion about Louis losing numbers and fans, but it seems like it's something quite normal.

Louis and his manager don't seem worried about it, and I'm sure when he drops LT3 he'll have good results.

His fans always put in a lot of effort.

why does it matter if the boys lose fans? I’ve been researching gay celebrities of the past and a lot weren’t able to come out until after their prime and people stopped caring about them so they stopped making money for management so they were cut loose. And wouldn’t it be better for the fandom as a whole to get rid of fair weather fans, out of touch casuals, and toxic hets who harass us because they want to have sex with the boys?

It's normal for Louis to lose fans (or fan engagement) in the sense that Louis has consistantly lost followers since his solo career began, but it's not normal to not be worried about the rate at which he is dropping, and can't make it back!

Spotify monthly listeners isn't a good measure of fan numbers, but it is a good measure for fan engagement, and the number of "active" fans.

This is his Spotify monthly listeners mumbers from May 2022 to now.

Noticable spikes and drops;

29th aug to 26th september 2022 - he gained 1,5 million listeners. That's when BTM was released as the first single from the first album.

Then he had a drop from 26th of sept to 17th of october 2022 of 800k.

Second spike is from 17th of october to 21st of nov. He gained 1.1 million. That's when FITF released and OMS and ST released as singles.

After the 21st of nov it was a free range drop of 1.1 milllion until 13th of march 2023. It stabilises a bit then due to AOTV and his world tour starting in may.

From 19th of june 2023 it's been a steady drop of 19th of august 2024 of almost 2 million (1.9 mill) in a year... Louis' live album came out in april 2024, and didn’t seem to slow the decline down at all...

Then a spike again of 800k on 4th of nov 2024. That's due to Liam's passing (rip), and is probably the gp streaming in addition to the usual fans.

And it's been another free fall since then and we're about to be at 2.3 million soon.

For reference, the highest Louis have been is 19,1 million right after BTY dropped, in sept. 2017, in april 2017 he had 11,9 million, by june he had 5.3 million... BTY came out in july, so he went up 13,8 milllion (!). It fell quite hard and fast aftet that though.

He had 6 million in sept 2019 and 7 in december.

He had 4.9 in sept 2020

He had 4.2 million in jan 2021.

What these numbers show is that a new album could gain him a couple of million listeners. On the other hand, the live album didn’t have an impact at all. He kept losing fans and they were disengaging. He can’t seem to keep the fans engaged for long, and gain any new fans. It's hit songs that spikes engagement, because they're exposed to the gp. The gp seems to fall off straight after though and not stay. So i think those who stream are mostly fans. He keeps losing fans also. They're disengaging.

Now for the second anon, why does it matter if Louis lose fans (or they don't respond to attempts at engaging them, or can't be engaged for long).

It matters because if he loses too many fans or they disengage, he won't be able to;

Get his songs charting or get number 1 albums

Get more investment from his label in the making of an album and promo of it.

Tour internationally (and make a revenue)

Keep AFHF going

Get asked to events or get brand deals

Keep his fashion brand and sell his collections

Or do other ventures (documentary etc).

He needs an audience of a certain size to do all this, and be able to engage and attract fans to his ventures. Louis isn't Harry, Zayn and Niall who's got a stable fanbase and fans from the gp. Louis can't afford to lose ANY fans if he wants to keep being an artist at the level he is, and have the same reach and influence.

If he'd rather have grey hair than play MSG, then fine? If he'd rather not memorise his own lyrics and play in pubs, then great? If he'd rather stunt with a racist than tour Asia, then cool?

Discount outlets like Ollie's are dangerous. Because you go in being like, "Let's see what crap toys they have that no one wanted that I can laugh at." And sure, all the unwanted Space Jam 2 and Star Wars-themed children's fishing rods are funny. But then you see Marvel and Transformers stuff that was stupid at full price, but now it's like half-off, and at that price...well...

And you end up spending $40 anyway.

Also just for context, this chain started in Mechanicsburg, PA, which is part of my "local area." The one I go to is outside of Mechanicsburg, but is probably like the secord or third location they ever opened. They've refreshed that building over and over, but it's still at the same location and has been since at least the late 80s. That doesn't happen anymore.

Plus I remember when Ollie's exclusively sold flood-damaged carpets and toys from warehouses that had burned down. Like, we literally bought stuff from them covered in ash and mold, but hey, it's like half off! Their quality control has improved substantially since then.

Also I guess in the interest of full disclosure, I should admit that I used to work for them, at one of their distribution warehouses. We'd get truckloads of random crap in, and reprice it, and reload it into other trucks to take to stores. This was like 2008?, and their process at the time was letting a couple random old ladies who worked there decide what to price things, and where to send them.

I'm serious. And I got friendly with one of those old ladies, so she listened to me when I talked her into pricing shit lower, so I could buy it with my employee discount. This is how I got my original in-box copy of Homeworld. They were doing boxed PC games at the time. I basically unofficially set the random prices for PC games there for the one summer I worked there.

I would have stayed, had they not paid like $11 an hour. They pay people SHIT. No healthcare. They still try to make everyone who works for them part-time so they can get away with it, which is why all their stores are perpetually understaffed. It's ass, and I REALLY shouldn't do business with them.

I think it's sad that most people always think of bottlenoses as the "classic dolphin" since its the one that's always used for shows, and always think of dolphins as just straight grey when in reality there's so many varieties with so many different amazing patterns

Look at the common dolphin! They have a gorgeous X pattern and even some dull yellow/gold!!

Hourglass dolphins have gorgeous white streaks

Spinner dolphins have really pretty banding as well, AND they have a really sleek cute silhouette!

The atlantic spotted dolphin!!! Theyre spotted!!!!!!

Dusky dolphins have a gorgeous airbrush look going on like straight out of a 2000s fantasy illustration
