Gyomei and Sanemi arrived a bit later into the fight with Muzan, right? So- what if i just...

Gyomei pulling Sanemi away, trying to get him back on his feet.

"We have to go. This isn't over until Muzan is dead," Gyomei said sternly, though not without sympathy. He understood. But there wasn't time to grieve until everything was over.

"No!" Sanemi shouted, struggling. He had just awoken, his strength wasn't at it's strongest. Nevertheless, he lunged forward. Blood made Gyomei's grip on him unsteady and the slickness allowed Sanemi to break free, grasping Genya's clothing. He clutched it to his chest, his breathing heavy.

"Shinazugawa. We cannot waste time. We must patch up the worst of our wounds and help the-" Gyomei started. The castle shook around them, interrupting his words. He frowned. An earthquake? No.

Sanemi seemed almost crazed, having skittered away from Gyomei, fighting back a sob that threatened to crumble him to pieces. "Genya," he mumbled, fingering yakuta, tugging the uniform back into place. "I can't- He-"

Gyomei walked forward, forcing his stance to steady when the castle shook once more. "Shinazugawa. We must leave," he said. There was no room for argument in his tone, yet Sanemi barely registered him. Even the shaking of the building seemed unbeknownst to the man.

"Shit." Sanemi stood slowly, using Gyomei's outstretched hand for support. "I have to- Have to go."

His voice, at least, wasn't shaky. But it had a sort of resolve to it.

He gripped tightly onto Gyomei.

"I'll... put this. Bring it somewhere safe," he muttered, mostly to himself. "Then I'll kill them. Kill them all."

Gyomei nodded slowly. "Yes. But now."

Sanemi hummed. He seemed almost calm, but Gyomei understood this. He was collecting his anger, readying himself to throw it all against Muzan. If he wasn't careful, however, it would be suicide. It seemed now that Sanemi no longer cared. How could he?

He let go of Gyomei, unaware of the sudden constant trembling of the building, cracks appearing in the walls. Sanemi's hands clenched into fists by his side, one still holding Genya's clothing.

"Don't be rash, Shinazugawa," Gyomei warned. He was beginning to worry for Sanemi.

"I won't," Sanemi promised in an uncharacteristically quiet voice. "It'll be fine."

Ah.

Lester Papadopoulos is a comfort character to me. I’ve been a huge Percy Jackson fan for years now, and I’ve loved many characters (Grover, Nico, Leo, Percy, etc) and when I first read TOA I loved it, but after rereading it…

I fell in love with Lester, this caring and complex character who had many layers to him, that came off as selfish, and yet just so happened to be one of the most selfless characters in the book.

He’s caring, he’s a former god, he’s selfless, he pees himself regularly, he loves his children, he drowned his ex that one time, he is a god of many things, he has had many lovers. He has so many aspects to him that makes him so interesting.

He has a redemption arc as he realizes that he has made mistakes, but also realizes that he has been abused by Zeus, that it most likely influenced how he view things, and how he may have picked up toxic behaviors from Zeus. He learns to be more human, which is such a beautiful arc to see him go through.

He cares SO MUCH about others. He grieves for Jason and Crest and Heloise and so many other people. He tried to sacrifice himself many times and has many heroic qualities, but he is an unreliable narrator and sometimes what he says doesn’t reflect what he does.

His and Meg’s relationship is one of my favorite friendships in the books. It feels like it’s the two of them against the world at times. Meg cares so much for him while also calling him out on his bad actions (like when they were on Sutro Tower) and Lester cares so much for her as he realizes that she has been abused, that she needs help, and that he wants to help her separate from Nero’s influence, that he is so proud of her for standing up to Nero. They both form such a strong bond with each other and I just- I love them!

He is also absolutely hilarious. I find myself laughing as he is just- so snarky sometimes? He also sometimes know random things? (Like the Goddess of Sewers Cloacina) He is also funny when he has no knowledge on how human things work (like not knowing the price of Tater Tot’s)

He also gets anxious and freaks out and cries and he just feels. He gets happy and laughs and gets sad and laments. He gets flashbacks and clearly has trauma but doesn’t let that excuse his bad actions as he feels guilt for his actions. He can also be quite harsh on himself, blaming himself often and sometimes projecting that onto others (like him saying that Piper is blaming him for Crest’s death??) He is such an emotional character and I love him for that.

I love whenever he gets his godly strength as it starts with small things and then it gets to the point that he can create fire with his hands just by simply mentioning cauterizing a wound and breaking Nero’s fasces and having enough strength to drag Python into the Underworld and is strong enough to hold on just enough to save himself from falling into Tartarus. He is such a strong person who has an incredible pain tolerance.

There are many other things that I love about Lester Papadopoulos/Apollo. I think I can positively say that he is my favorite PJO character. I often reread TOA more than the other books. I love the story and how dark it can get while also exploring the themes of how abuse affects you.

I just- I love Meg and Apollo. I need for fanfic of them!! I need more content of them! Their friendship is so underrated, so when I see people make fanfic of them I get so happy!

I also love the community. The fan-artists and the fanfic makers and anyone who just writes long posts, like me, are so talented and is honestly the best fandom I’ve been in.

I hope the PJO show becomes popular so that more people can read these amazing series. I hope there will be a day that TOA gets adapted, and even if it doesn’t, I still have the audiobooks to go back to.

Thanks TOA fandom, for still going strong, even years after the books ended and new books have come out and are still making fanfic about them. It feels like the books have never ended, like the TOA books are still going on and are still making posts.

I’m so happy to be part of such a passionate fanbase.

What if Percy gets transported back to the PJO world pregnant with a child! Like, it could be from any one of her lovers (yanderes) and then Hera wipes her memory - which she freaks out because... What the heck?! She married her father, uncle, cousin, and an emo! And she had a child with them on the way - and Percy doesn't remember anything - or will she knows she's pregnant but have no idea how or who the father is (mother's instinct) - and she's like training with Lupa and arrives at Camp Jupiter with a infant that looks exactly like their father. And the gods, in their roman forms, are confused as heck! Like, why does that baby have my godly aura?!

And pandemonium.

What I want to know is how her friends will react from camp-half blood and Nico! Especially if her child is the son of ROR Hades.

i think after hera kidnapped percy she put him to sleep for a few months and then sent him to the wolf house... soooo when our percy wakes, it'd already be four months. by then, there'd be a slightly noticeable bump

can you imagine waking up and realizing you're pregnant, but not even remembering HOW? were you raped? were you married? how did this happen?! our poor girl's gonna go through so much, because i doubt lupa would care. she's a greek who was sent by hera, she's not getting any mercy from the wolf.

she stays in the wolf house until june. she's out in the wilderness. no proper shelter. probably has to hunt for her own food. no doctors/hospitals around so no proper natal care too. she'd have to go through all that AND find a way to camp jupiter. i think the only reason she doesn't miscarry is cuz she's carrying a god's child 😣

she'll already be SIX MONTHS PREGNANT, by the time she gets to camp and even then she won't have a break cuz she's IMMEDIATELY going to be sent on a quest. i know camp jupiter is strict, but i doubt they'd be willing to send a pregnant girl to a dangerous quest, but they have no choice cuz it's mars telling them too. frank and hazel would be quite protective of her cuz of her state at least

and then she gets her memories back and realizes she's carrying a GOD'S baby and has a bunch god lovers, and none of them are here cuz they're from a new universe asehfahfgv

i feel SO bad for percy cuz one month later, in july, she and anthonius would fall into tartarus. she would be SEVEN MONTHS PREGNANT. and in fucking TARTARUS.

OOOH THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ASKING ABOUT ERI !!!!! I've never been able to ramble about my baby lore-wise so this is !!!!!! EXCITING !!!! Though before we begin I feel like this is very important to establish my OC: Eri first. Because from what I understand, a lot of people who know and love Eri on this blog, know about Eri as the DOL PC, whether it'd be the fem! version or the male! version. But since this is an OC related ask, I decide to use their normal version!!

To clarify first and foremost, Eri's original OC form, is a femboy. He/Him, AMAB, Feminine-looking mfer. Sometimes I slap a boycunt on him but thats not the point! The point is, that most times when I'm talking about Eri outside of the DOL setting, he's not a girl.

Fem!Eri and Masc!Eri which you see as my DOL Pcs, are his variants!

Now that we've cleared all of that up, I'm now going to proceed to ramble for all the questions for all THREE Eri's because!!!! I love all three of them and they're not the same person. Yes, they're all variants of Eri, but they're different enough where it would warrant at least separate answers for some of the questions! Thank you again for sending these anon, because they're really interesting !!!!!

CRIMSON - What would it take for them to kill someone they know?

OG!Eri - It takes the right circumstance/right price. Of course, if you were for example, his spouse, Eri wouldn't even think about killing you. Not without good reason at least. But for everyone else, it's fair game. Eri lives by his arbitrary rules of how to live life. In life, there is always a cost or gain to every decision and so - the question of taking someone's life doesn't depend on 'what would it take' but rather 'what could he gain?' - because if Eri stands to gain more when someone is dead, then there hardly would be any hesitation. But if he stands to lose more, Eri would not kill the person.

F!Eri - F!Eri is the most timid/mild version of Eri, she's easily frightened by a lot of things and the sight of blood (thats not her period blood) frightens her immensely. It would take a lot for Eri to be pushed to kill someone she knows, and it would have to be for a very good reason. Even with a good reason, Eri might not be able to do it unless she was really really pushed to do it - as in someone's life or her life is in immediate danger and there was no other way to save themselves.

MASC!Eri - MASC!Eri is the most 'aggressive' version of Eri, however - this isn't the most accurate way to explain him. He's a lot more defiant and a lot more confrontational when faced with a problem, but he's young. To kill someone is a line he has never had to face before, but if Eri was forced to do so .... probably he'd be at a loss? Like yeah, he's a tough guy, macho masculine manly man's man. But to actually take someone's life is a weight no one is prepared to carry. I think he'd definitely have an easier time to do the deed than F!Eri but thats not saying much.

2. SCARLET - How do they grieve?

OG!Eri - Grieves quietly, a complete contrast to how they usually are. They're usually very chatty and loud, always the life of the party wherever they go. So when dealing with loss, he would just close himself off from the outside world for years. Eri may be open and chatty, but in truth - he never allows anyone to get too close, hates it even, so he doesn't feel comfortable grieving to anyone or opening up to others. Because it adds another weakness, another way to hurt him. But usually, there are those who are the exceptions, who build Eri's trust in them and becomes someone indispensable to Eri. It's usually these people who Eri would most likely grieve for.

F!Eri - Her heart is very fragile and Eri wears her heart on her sleeve. She would most definitely be inconsolable for months, her eyes mostly empty and face is always stained with tears. She won't be able to function much in usual day-to-day activities unless someone helps her. She really relies on the help of others during this time, even though she knows how vulnerable she is. F!Eri suffers the most from the fear of abandonment, and to lose someone is the best way to send her spiralling.

MASC!Eri - he'd be in denial at first - whether it'd be for the fact that someone he loved was dead or that he cared this much for someone. He'd try to deny it at first, try to go on through his day as per usual. He doesn't miss anyone - no he's not grieving, he doesn't have time to grieve. It'd be a success for a little while, at least until one day the TV just turns to static because of some faulty cable connection, he has a tub of ice cream on his lap and it slowly dawns on him that he's never going to be able to just dial the number of the person he lost and complain to them that the shitty TV isn't working again. In short, he's the kind to push it out of his mind until his body literally can't keep the grief at bay.
