Introducing the Rajaijah plant, along with everyone's complicated feelings surrounding it. From my story The House of Glass. Follows on directly from this part here!

I always wondered what the source of Rajaijah juice, or madness poison, was. @aboardthescheherazade and @lady-of-lyon both helped out a lot with research on a discord server!

For such a key plot device in two books there wasn't much background to it; all we are told is the effects of the poison are permanent (terrifying) and it came from India (very mundane, a lot of plants come from India.). The original French name suggests it's a plant extract.

I decided to base the design of the plant off of datura. I've read some pretty horrifying recollections of datura trips, and these trips can last for days. I absolutely do not recommend trying datura, the dosage is difficult to get consistent and it's very likely to kill or cause permanent injury - but it's a perfect candidate to base the Rajaijah plant off of!

I decided to make it smaller for that whimsical fairy like appearance. Datura flowers are beautiful, but I simplified the flowers to make it easier to draw in a comic or for animation!

I was partway through making a post about other miscellaneous things Clark probably should have noticed being weird about Gravity Falls and how it's nuts that he didn't notice the literal memory erasing cult for like eighteen years. Then I was like, yeah, that's too nuts that he didn't notice the memory erasing cult. So, alternate suggestion, Clark just Handles It when he's like thirteen and he realizes his friend Soos doesn't remember them getting into a fistfight with some of the arcade characters last week. So Clark spends like two days figuring out what happened to Soos and how, then he spends half an hour wandering around town x-ray vision-ing everything until he finds the Blind Eye's headquarters (he also finds so much other random shit), then he walks right in while everyone is gone and breaks everything and then leaves. And because the cult doesn't know how to build their own memory guns they just kinda toss their hands in the air and go "welp" and that's the end of that.

Ok, first of all:

He was supposed to be blond. 😂 He's a blond elf! He was meant to be the stereotypical pretty blond elf!! How do you mess that up!!! 🤣

...well at least the facial scarring is there. You think they they had some Harry Potter scars on sale? Lol

And I guess gray – or silver? It's hard to tell... – hair is close enough to blond?? Could have been worse.

...In any case, Pendrick's design details aside, I have to admit this: chapter 131 of the manhwa has been one of the most enjoyable chapters I've read in a long while.

The entire scene of Cale inwardly freaking out while the elves were trying to approach him was priceless. Comedy gold. They made it even funnier than in the novel, which is rare.

I laughed so hard. Respects!
