“You done figuring out the sound files yet?” Duke asked while tapping on the hood of the Batmobile.

He was excited to hear a campy “Yes, Sir!” Come out of the open windows of the car.

“Neat, first off, any files that have your name in it?” He was a little disappointed, but still snorted to hear the tragic ‘Noooooo’ from Darth Vader.

“I think Red Robin has some pronoun type files in there, what are yours?” A mix of sir’s, dude's, and bro's were played until Duke had to stop the guy.

“Ok, what about age?” He wasn't expecting to get a straight answer, but when the car played a Scooby-Doo cut of ‘those meddling kids’, he was confused.

“So a kid?” Duke questioned. He got a weird mix of 'Ehhh', 'Kinda', and 'close enough' type files.

“We can worry about that later, any ideas how you got stuck?” A short ‘Nope’ with a pop on the P played.

Talking to the car guy was strange. Getting answers could be easy or turn into 20 questions trying to clarify an answer. So far, Duke knew the person:

is male or male presenting

a meta

has no clue how he possessed the car

has a good understanding of current memes

was possibly in their teens (probably a bit younger than Duke, but older than Daimian)

was a street kid? (When asked where he lived the car played “Why should I worry” from an older Disney movie about homeless animals in New York or something. He had to look it up.)

has a good sense of humor

and is taking their situation in stride.

Duke really had to wonder what their life has been where this is not a vast problem to fix…. And whether or not he should argue his ‘notification tone’ being a choir singing.

He really does not get paid enough for this, but it is better than the other stuff Gotham throws at the Bats.

“Mind if I get you up on the lift and check the engine? Might give us some clues.” After an affirmative from the car guy, Duke got to work.

The brainrot is rotting so

National Treasure but it’s Simon (Ben) and Roach (Riley) who team up with John MacTavish (Dr. Chase) to steal the Declaration of Independence before Shepherd, Graves, and the Shadows can. They eventually work with Price, Gaz, and Laswell (the FBI) to arrest Shepherd, Graves, and the Shadows after finding the treasure and donating it. Of course it ends with Ghost/Soap/Roach (because the movie would’ve ended in a throuple if the director wasn’t a coward) and they all live happily ever after

I love the secret after-credits scene of the Mario movie where Bowser tells Mario that he figured out that even if he had Peach, he wouldn't be happy. He figured it out that love is trust on both sides of a relationship (and that real love isn't just a one-sided thing) and he figured out that Mario's brother that he affectionately calls "Greenie" actually makes him happy because Luigi found it in his heart to trust the big koopa. Bowser also said he was sorry for wrecking Brooklyn and he's actually taking anger management classes now (with extra support from Luigi).

someone said they might be trying to establish a basis to claim that Spock and Chapel were actually in a secret relationship all throughout TOS and that’s actually the most monumentally terrible idea i’ve ever heard

i hate you (whoever you are) for bringing that up in my tags and i also hate myself for never considering that possibility and now i can’t stop thinking about how terrible of an idea that would be if that’s where they’re actually planning on going with this

(even though i don’t think it would actually make any sense for that to be what they’re going for since they would still, presumably, have to break up for long enough for Christine to get engaged to Roger Korby but hey SNW has never let canon get in the way of their bad ideas before)

Them! If I had to pick one ship, it would be these two. Enemies/Rivals to Lovers? Matching tattoos? The scene where Nori sees Elina with a tail for the first time? Nori's love language so clearly being physical touch- I could go on and on about them HONESTLY.

Liana/Alexa

The original cottagecore sapphics. They are a classic. Could not be a more perfect pair. I don't have a lot to say about them, they're just neat.

Barbie/Raquelle

Oooh, okay. If we're talking about LITD Barbie/Raquelle, they do not make much sense to me, realistically. Like, I can't even mental-gymnastics my way into thinking there could ever be something between them. That said: I do like the ship dynamic very much.

Fairy Secret/Fashion Fairytale Barbie/Raquelle makes a little more sense, but the bit in FS where they talk about their feelings is about it. Raquelle was straight up nasty to Barbie 😭 I can't see them as a pair after all that. They're just not for me i think 💜

Odette/Fairy Queen

This. So. Okay, personally my perception of the Fairy Queen has always been that she's a lot older, while Odette, I place around 16-18, so 😭 I get it, but I can't get with it, you know.

I've been reading and watching some reviews of Oppenheimer and am shocked at the way some people don't seem to be able to connect to characters who are a little bit closed off and inwardly complicated.

This is a film you need to bring your own empathy to. It isn't actively provoked and drawn out of you.

Which, given that it deals with the construction of the Atomic Bomb, I think is something that should be self explanatory. If you go into making this thinking "Oh I will make people feel so bad about the bombs" you're already headed in the wrong direction. It's not the question whether or not it's bad. The question is whether or not you realize it's bad when no one tells you outright how to think about it.

This movie is incredible for doing this.
