Thinking about "whim-prone" again, and feeling that experience of doing things that look from the outside like sudden changes (leaving "your comfortable life" with just a note) but actually it's been brewing for so long, deep in your head all the pieces slowly coming together into "oh right this is what I'm going to do" as all those little bits of discomfort finally look like something specific, all those hints of what might be turning into what you have to do, and it was there all along but the people you can't trust are never going to see it

Kyoshi: THIS IS SUUUUUUUCH FUCKING BULLSHIT! Kuruk: Ooo nice, you hit the nail on the head! -hi-fives Yangchen- Szeto: And Roku? Kuruk: He couldn't kill his best friend. Szeto: I don't see how that's bad- Yangchen: That same best friend later genocided all of my people. Szeto: ................................................................ Szeto: I apologize on behalf of the Fire- Yangchen: Ah ah, save it. I don't want to hear it. Szeto: Fair. So he doesn't want Aang to make the same mistake he did? I can understand, but why is he sobbing so damn much- Kuruk: Also, the guy that's Aang's best friend, is Roku's great-grandson. Szeto: ........................well that certainly is a conflict of interest. Roku: Aaaaaang! You gotta do it buddy! Don't be like me! ;w; Kyoshi: Nah Aang, fuck it! See what happens! Can we talk about the way Trent sounds when he answers the bartender?

I don’t have a lot of coherent thoughts about that, but it’s one of my favourite little moments from Trent and Colin’s scenes. Did Trent ever walk into a gay club/bar and walk out again because he was scared? Possibly. Or was it simply a “you don’t know who that man is and what it would mean for him to come out”?coming out is hard and emotional no matter who you are, but for Colin it’s not just coming out to his friends and family. It’s coming out to the fans, the media, the world. And Trent knows that and he, as he says, isn’t a professional athlete, but he still knows what Colin is facing as opposed to the bartender who only saw a young guy who was scared to be seen in a gay bar.
