In the Jaguar suit of cours, Diego has always been partial to cats.

To the outward gaze, he kinda just seems... zoned out. There are moments of clarity or recognition, but for the most part he almost doesn't react to much besides Diego's commands.

i'm running late on getting this out, but i'm still reeling over the results of the @kirbyoctournament! i can't quite believe that starstruck- my pint sized waddle dee- made it all the way to the tippy-top against such intense competition. the roster was full of such an incredible selection of wonderful, loveable, and creative characters!

it's heart-warming to know that people out there really love my little wanya and her story, and i'll carry that with me always! 🥰💖

i am so grateful to everybody who voted for and supported starstruck (and i!) throughout the tournament, and i'd also like to give my thanks to everybody- moderators, participants, spectators- who made this community event as cool and fun as it was!! i met many new people and learned about so many wonderful new characters!

Primer paso: Es como un dibujo más animado. Primero, dibuja un garabato para que te hagas una idea de cómo va a quedar.

Segundo paso: Arregla el dibujo. Como viste en el primer garabato, la animación era muy rígida, pero ahora solo hazlo como si estuviera tomando un impulso hacia adelante, y como se está moviendo, se moverá un poco hacia atrás.

Tercer paso: Luego de arreglarlo y hacer ajustes, dibuja encima.

Cuarto paso: Pinta y agrega sombras si quieres, pero no olvides siempre cerrar todas las aberturas del dibujo, sino el color se extenderá a todo el dibujo (esta es una parte que lleva mucho tiempo ya que tienes que pintar uno a uno, dibujo a dibujo).

Quinto paso: Agrega los detalles que quieras. Yo puse el suelo moviéndose con él ya que se está moviendo, dándole un poco más de vida.

Perdón si es un poco confuso, no sé enseñar muy bien, pero te aconsejo que mires y busques varios animadores diferentes para poder entender mejor.

En la animación es como en un dibujo, pero hay que dibujar al personaje varias veces desde distintos ángulos para que cobre vida y ya está. Si tenéis alguna duda, preguntadla y os intentaré explicar <D

First step: It's like a more lively drawing. First, draw a scribble so you can get an idea of ​​how it's going to look.

I think on this fine Saturday afternoon it's a good opportunity to take a breather and remember that there are really no ethical paparazzi pictures. Every single one is inherently exploitative.

Just because photos were taken on a movie set, when someone is 'working,' does not make the practice any less invasive and creepy. Imagine just going about your day, doing your job and having some weirdo snapping pictures of you to sell without your consent for others to endlessly repost online.

There are thousands of pictures of your favourite actor online already. Plenty taken with his knowledge and consent. I'd really like to see more of them on my dash, rather than the creeper shots.

And don't get me started how disseminating these pictures directly leads to people going to said sets. What starts off as admiring how good someone looks has real world implications.

No, hanging around a movie set and disrupting people doing their jobs is not harmless fun or a way to show your appreciation.

If you hang around a movie set, you are a stalker.

Don't tell me that it's okay to take your online admiration for someone offline. You may admire him but he does not, and will never, personally know you. He will never be your friend/boyfriend/daddy. He is a stranger.

The only way meeting your favourite actor is going to happen is at a convention or maaaaaybe a movie premiere if you're incredibly fortunate. You know, places they appear specifically to meet fans (or not in the case of premieres, where the purpose is to promote a movie. Which is also completely understandable if actors don't stop. You are not owed an interaction).

Of course, you cannot help it if you randomly run into someone you admire in the wild. Even then, consider that they probably won't be all too thrilled to be approached in public by a complete stranger. It's up to you to gauge the situation, but remember there is a person at the heart of all of this.

Boundaries and respect are a kindness which deserves to be extended to each and every human being regardless of their looks/talent/fame/wealth.

Fandoms blur those lines a little too often for my liking and I think just scrutinising what you're interacting with, or what behaviour you could be possibly falling down that slippery slope towards is nice to do every once in a while.

I mean no malice with this post and it is not directed at anyone in particular. It's something I cannot help but feel strongly about because I've seen this destructive cycle time and again in fandoms over the years. It's not healthy and it makes us all a little bit more disconnected from our humanity for it...

Wild Kratts: Our Blue and Green World Trailer.

Underneath the cut for those who consider it to be spoilery, but we have a trailer for the one-hour special, Our Blue and Green World, airing April 1st, 2024.

The Kratt brothers disagree on what's better; blue oceans or green forests. Aviva takes on the role of referee to demonstrate how oceans and forests work together to make our living planet, just like Martin and Chris need to keep working together. It's up to the gang to get Martin and Chris back in sync in time to save planet Earth from Zach and Paisley's villainous plans.

This special was first mentioned back in May of 2023 during an interview with Martin Kratt heralding the show's premiere of its 7th season. The original title was Blue and Green: The Living Earth before it was chaned to our Blue and Green World. The episode will feature climates and habitats corresponding with the Kratt's "blue and green." With it, will come the introduction of new Creature Power Suits: The ones we have seen thus far in the trailer are Indri Power, Green Anaconda Power, and Blue Whale Power.

Ok but I'm starting to see a weird pattern in the PowerSuits in this season. For some strange reason, they have to retrofit the wearer's mouths to match the ACTUAL anatomy of the animal the suit is based off of. They did it with the Wild Pony and the Mountain Goat Power Suit and both of them were.... ugh. Now they did it with the Blue Whale Suit and to be fair, while I hate that particular feature, it's not enough to make me hate the suit. In fact, I kinda like it more because of how silly it looks (Martin is the perfect person to wear this suit tbh). Still though, I wish they designed it like the Crocodile, Hippo, or Puffin Suit where the giant mouth is simply an attachment that doesn't move while the wearer speaks.

For those who don't know, Indris are the largest species of lemur in the world (alongside Diademed Sifakas). They are the only animals besides humans that can find and use rhythm using "wailing songs" to communicate. They're also critically endangered due to slash and burn of their habitats and poaching for their flesh as delicacies (yeah, very odd that Gourmand isn't here, but I digress). There's an estimate to be less than 10,000 left in the wild and are expected to have a population net decrease by 80% within the next 30 years... yeah, considering that they're endemic to Madagascar, not a very good sign. I didn't even know what an Indri was until reading the article, and if I'm not the only one who had no clue about these guys, it's probably definitely a good sign that they're getting some spotlight in this show.

The Indri Power Suit looks so goofy, but again, something about how silly it looks just makes me appreciate it all the more. I... weirdly expected it to be way bigger like the Puffin Suit, but again that's just me.

I am a huge fan of how they designed the snake-inspired Creature Power Suits in the show. But the Anaconda Creature Power Suit... holy shit.

LOOK AT IT /POS

Look at the markings! Look at the green! Look at the patterns, and the color schemes! Chris FINALLY got a green Creature Power Suit to activate! Our boi won! It's also a pretty clever callback to the Amazon special where Chris met the Anaconda (I really hope the Power Disc for this suit is green because god that would be so aesthetically pleasing).

Ngl, if the old flash games were still on the website, and this was one of the Power Suits I could earn for my character, I'd play it in a heart-beat.

I'm really interested to see the Zach/Paisley team up. This season already started to utilize her better by giving her another solo appearance, and now we're seeing a 1 on 1 team up with her and another villain. I was always gunning for a Paisley/Donita teamup but this works too. They're both very similar characters that can bounce off each other in similar, yet different ways (I actually headcanon that they're related - second cousins to be exact - because of those similarities). The final battle is gonna be kickass.

If you were to tell me without any context at all that this was a screencap from the upcoming WK feature film (that this episode is often mistaken for), I would believe you. Because HOLY SHIT! The linework, the lighting, the hues, AND the shading! I am becoming more and more grateful for the 2-year long hiatus - the animators needed time to cook and they fucking COOKED. For an extended TV episode, this is pretty damn impressive.

People don't talk enough about this, but fun-fact: A lot of the animators of this show had experience working for Disney. Erika Worthylake was one of the artists on this show, doing several beta designs for animals such as wild ponies and salmon sharks. In 2019, she was the lead designer for Anga, one of the new characters in Disney's The Lion Guard (which, much like Wild Kratts, was animated in Toon Boom). Ben Balistreri had collaberated with the Kratt Brothers and Luc Chamberland in 2007 to work on the show's pilot episode, creating several different designs for the animated characters. Ten years later, he became the executive co-producer of Tangled: The Series. Kendal Brouet, who animated A Creature Christmas, worked on The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder in 2022. Just to name a few. It's just a fun little thing that comes up in the back of my mind whenever the topic of WK animation comes up, and this instance of animation is so fucking good that I HAVE to talk about it, because I have MAJOR respect for these guys, and if there were ever moments in the show that remind me "Oh, this slaps," I just remember what these talented artists worked on through the years and it clicks together nicely in my brain.

According to Whrokids, this episode is gonna have a runtime of 58 minutes. I found this screenshot of someone who did far more searching and sleuthing for new episode content (they were the ones who found this trailer actually). I'm not sure how valid this particular screenshot is, but if this is the case, then this will be the longest episode of Wild Kratts in history, and will be the closest thing we get to a Wild Kratts movie (until the actual WK movie is released in theaters).

It's not a request, more of a question hehehe. if the reader gets Pickle's attention, will the Hanma family handle it to protect their "little sister"? The huge caveman always appears and disappears unexpectedly, it's not hard for him to steal a person. Especially when he sees the small prey surrounded by three strong men

(I kind of went on a tangent with this and I have no idea if it even makes sense, so I apologize for the word vomit ell oh ell.)

If you thought Baki and Jack were suffocating before, you are in for a rude awakening as soon as Pickle enters the scene. The moment they get any inkling that Pickle has taken notice of you they become COMPLETELY overbearing in your life. I’m talking they won't even let you go to the bathroom by yourself, let alone wander off without having one of them attached to your hip. You’re under constant surveillance, Jack and Baki taking turns watching you in shifts when they both can't be with you.

They do all they can to block you from any media coverage Pickle is getting, even if that’s ultimately a losing battle. They know you are aware of him, and you are bound to see him in the news and hear about him on the street, but the less interest and knowledge you have about the man the better.  It’s hard keeping you in the dark, especially when they themselves have taken an interest in him. Jack and Baki are itching to take Pickle on, while simultaneously wanting him to stay as far away from their beloved sister as possible.

The brothers do feel slightly guilty over the whole Pickle situation-the whole reason he even knows of your existence to begin with is because of them. You most likely only ever saw Pickle once, and it was when you were with your brothers in Kourakuen. It was just in passing, but they haven’t forgotten the look of sheer awe in your eyes as you took in the prehistoric man before you. You were at a safe distance of course, and sheltered behind your brothers in the event he tried to come any closer.  You had to peek through limbs and stand on tip toes to get a good glimpse, and were extremely grumpy when Jack and Baki whisked you away in a hurry. You didn’t even get to wave hello. :(

Honestly, you thought Pickle was a little cute. Intimidating, yes, but the flabbergasted look that spread across his face as he took in this new world around him, mixed with the childlike glee that lit his features when he uncovered something new or exciting… You couldn’t help but find it a little endearing.

However the brothers knew from the moment Pickle saw you, they were in trouble. That toothy grin mixed with the inquisitive gleam his eyes held as they locked on to your every movement held only impure intentions. They got you out of there as quickly as they could, but the warning glances they cast Pickle on the way out seemed to excite him more than dissuade.

At first you found it a little silly, all the effort your brothers were putting into this seemed like a waste of time more than anything. After that first brief meeting with Pickle you really couldn’t fathom a moment where you would ever again be in his presence, let alone have him be a threat to you. If anything, you were more concerned about what someone like that would do to one of your brothers if they ever got in a serious fight. You were well aware that both men were actively pursuing an altercation with Pickle, and it made you cringe thinking the sheer amount of violence they were willing and eager to inflict upon each other. It was hard for you to wrap your head around. Pickle seemed almost… Pure? What joy they found in beating on someone like that, you couldn’t understand. 

Regardless, you figure they just need some time to see how ridiculous they were being, and as time passes so will their irrational fear of Pickle getting to you.

What YOU don’t realize is that even though your encounter with Pickle was brief, he is VERY much interested in you. There was no courting in his time line, base instincts taking precedence. What he wanted he would claim by any means necessary. He is intrigued by you, a feeling of insatiable curiosity pulling him towards you. You were so tiny, yet guarded by such fierce beasts. He wanted to see you again, wanted to get his hands on you. He needed to know just what about you made you so desirable, not just to him, but to the others as well. You were new, you were mysterious, you were confusing and beautiful and you smelled so nice… If he got the chance, he would definitely steal you away and spend time alone with you, giving you his undivided attention and taking as much time as needed to unravel your mysteries and make you his mate.

Your flippant attitude towards Pickle, mixed with the awareness Pickle has taken a liking to you only serves to make the brothers more domineering. Don't you understand how much danger you are in? The brothers kept this particular broadcast from you, but they saw what Pickle did to that news reporter woman on national television and they'll be damned if you become his next source of release. They’re not leaving your side until he’s out of the picture entirely, no matter how long it takes.

As for Yujiro, I feel like overall he just likes seeing you in different, compromising situations. He takes great pleasure in seeing you squirm-watching with unparalleled interest as you time and time again get yourself into messy affairs, often without even realizing you are doing it. It’s truly incredible that you don’t realize the threat Pickle poses to you, and he can’t help but laugh at the sheer absurdity of it all. You must be blind, because it only took one look for Yujiro to ascertain Pickles intentions, and that his advances were not something you would walk away from unscathed.

Yujiro knows he can stop it in a moment. He was definitely stronger than Pickle and much smarter too. Yujiro’s presence alone would be enough to dissuade Pickle from ever looking your way again, taking only a small exertion of his power to stop him dead in his tracks and get him fleeing with his tail between his legs. But there was something about the way you were so nonchalant about Pickle that kept him from intervening. It was almost as if you were toying with him, tempting him with your big doe eyes and clueless nature. Did you feel comfortable around Pickle because you knew if necessary, daddy would save you? Surely he wouldn’t let his little Princess be ravaged by this big scary Neanderthal, right?

Don’t worry, Yujiro won’t let Pickle destroy one of his favorite toys, but he’s also not gonna play knight in shining armor unless the reward is worth it. So go ahead and play dumb, writhe and cry out for help when you inevitably get trapped in Pickles embrace. When Yujiro rips your quaking form from the cave mans grasp, and you fall into his open arms sobbing, hurt, and half naked, he expects you to show him nothing but the utmost appreciation. That is unless you prefer him watching as Pickle has a few rounds with you. Would you like that, having your father’s unwavering gaze drink in every inch of your debauched form as you are taken like a wild animal? Yujiro didn’t hate the thought of it, monitoring the situation while he smiled down on you devilishly, your face constricting in a mix of pain, fear, and pleasure as another man had his way with you.  

Whatever you want princess, just don’t wear yourself out before he gets a turn.

14. "left for dead"

after a while, everything was still again - no more clashing of metal, no more boots or hooves on the trampled dirt. nothing except for the wind in the leafless treetops, and the last sound of someone's gasping breaths growing ever quieter.

she noticed that and realized, distantly, that those were her breaths, and they went along with the wet burning weight in her chest, and the stink of blood in her nostrils. she might have tried to see what was going on, except she had no strength to turn her head, much less lift it. and it seemed that it didn't really matter now, now that all the other voices had gone silent, and the woods empty in the golden fall of the afternoon light.

she coughed, a warm iron taste in the back of her throat. she would have been shivering in the wind, except shivering would have taken energy she didn't have anymore, her body limp and unresponsive. she thought she could feel her fingers, just a little, but she wasn't quite certain where they were in relation to anything else.

this was the end, then - which made sense; she'd seen the others fall, and heard their screams at the hands of the dark-clad bandits, and staggered backwards beneath her enemy's sword, till the crossbow bolt pinioned her to the ground where she'd fallen.

dying seemed unfortunate. regrettable. but here, her thoughts already seemed to be skeining too far away from her tattered body for anything to reel them back. to return, to feel the pain she remembered dimly, seemed entirely too much to ask of herself.

perhaps soon - perhaps a long time - it wasn't easy to tell; there was still some light in the sky between the branches of the winter trees, though - there were other sounds, again, and voices, louder than the sighing wind.

and hands chafing her face, and her arms, and someone insistent above her with their breath harsh and desperate, calling her name over and over again. a face she recognized, in slow blinks upward, and she tried to smile at them to drive away the horror of their expression.

"we'll get you home. please - stay with us - "

they wanted it so badly, she almost believed it was possible, and anyway their arms beneath her was the closest thing to warmth she'd felt for what seemed like forever. so - maybe it was.

"try," she said, roughly, and clenched her teeth, so as not to be a liar.
