seungcheol - diluc/eula main. prefers building physical damage. ruin hunters are his mortal enemy (same), but he loves ruin graders because they’re tanks and he loves fighting tanks.

jeonghan - childe/venti main. prefers bow users so he gets to stay out of range of enemy attacks. WILL leave you behind if you’re getting your ass beat in co-op. probably has kaeya or rosaria in his team because they’re hot, haha wdym i’m not projecting haha

joshua - jean main because he has a schoolboy crush on her. started out as a sworn f2p but weakened and gave in when her summer skin came out. cries tears of joy when he loses 50/50 to her. picked lumine in the beginning and sometimes still uses her for anemo resonance because she’s adorable and he’s totally right.

jun - no main because he switches between characters all the time. has like eleven 5 star characters and they’re all level 1. in co-op he gets left behind during enemy fights, but somehow always manages to reach the spot in time to claim rewards.

hoshi - beidou main with ningguang always in his party. happy (late) pride month. probably yells out loud while playing and no one even looks at him twice. does his daily commissions on the toilet.

wonwoo - zhongli main and lore freak. mostly focuses on spiral abyss and pulls for characters accordingly. could dodge but never does because why dodge when you have zhongli sheild.

woozi - currently mains keqing because she was his first 5 star pull and he’s loyal, but has been saving for ayaka since the beginning of the game’s release. mostly only pulls on the weapons banner.

seokmin - amber main because he feels bad for her. refuses to kill timmie’s birds because he also feels bad for him. is shit at the game but somehow?? manages to get through everything... may or may not have something to do with seungcheol taking pity on him during co-op.

mingyu - wholesome ganyu main. one of the few people who uses klee has a support. has no idea spiral abyss exists because he’s too busy exploring. has never once made a dish that was not perfect.

minghao - albedo main. gatekeeping him as he should!!! KING of dodging. can probably solo azhdaha with amber w/o buffs even if it takes him two hours.

seungkwan - fischl/mona main who probably cried when he pulled them on a banner. WHALE. probably says he hates leakers because they spoil the story for him but has GenshinLeaks notifications on.

vernon - bennett main because he thinks he has good vibes. also has chongyun/razor/xingqiu (aka The Boys™) on his team. sometimes switches up his party to include aether because he considers him an honorary member of The Boys™

chan - traveler main solely because he’s a chad that way. the only 5 star he has is xiao because he looked cool and he’s been saving ever since. already planning to pull for yoimiya because waifu is laifu.

Is it just me, or is fandom hate of Galahad and Lancelot just comes off as... kind of one sided? Like obviously both of them have done some questionable/awful things, but lancelot is a r*pe victim/someone who's constantly exploited for his guilt and galahad is a literal child martyr.

Lancelot is because of a double standard mindset from the fandom, where they enjoy seeing Mash shitting on him for being a horrible dad, and him the biggest asshole killing cinnamon roll/adorable imouto/waifu Gareth who adores and admires him very much. And also doesn’t help with the writers constantly flanderizing Lancelot’s NTR love than his actual good personality where he’s constantly in guilt for killing his fellow knights, betraying his King and best friend

Gareth’s case apparently is complete idiocy as for me, both side are at fault and a very tragic story. She is loyal to both Artoria and Lancelot that becomes the biggest downfall for her. Lancelot already went mad upon hearing Guinevere’s execution and crushed Gareth, unarmed and unarmored, due to being blind to said madness. I think Camelot Zero or along the lines in Summer he already remembers what he did to her in their historical lore and feels extreme guilt especially as he treats like his own daughter

And of course everyone is double standard on Lancelot’s case of being a rape victim by Elaine that ended up giving birth to his son, Galahad. While it’s also partly inexcusable for cheating behind his king and best friend to sleep with said wife, it’s also not a reason he got tricked and/or drugged to sleep with someone with he doesn’t love, and also ended up bearing responsibility of the said child

I’ve typed this in an ask before, but let’s put him in a genderbend woman version. If Female!Lancelot gets verbally abuse by said daughter/son of how much a terrible mother she is, drugged to sleep with someone she doesn’t love and bore said son due to a certain prophecy, will SJW kick in to say she deserve it or protect her because Lancelot is now genderbend as a woman?

Galahad is debatable because I still haven’t found his original lore history. Some fans mention how even the original Galahad was an exceptional jerk and asshole that no one in the Knight of the Round Table likes him, and Gawain hates him very much in particular. And also, he’s also known to be Pure Sue due to how he’s supposedly to be a knight with no flaws and evil in order to bring said grail back to God

And... Current Main Story line, it’s not making him likable too. He only appears:

To give mash his power and complete Fuyuki Singularity without any reason as to why. Which at first presumably is because it was their job.

Appears second time to upgrade Mash’s power and then appear to give the most useless information and abuse how his father is a deadbeat asshole

Proceeds to withdraw the powers he give to Mash, and when revealed why. He said it’s because all of it was Gudas’ fault for killing Goetia and starting Lostbelt. Which... Err, I’m sorry but WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK? How are WE supposed to know killing Goetia was a huge mistake? Hell it’s been repeated as key point that 2018 onwards future is in complete unknown state, NO ONE and NOT EVEN SHEBA sees what happen far from there, that leads to Alien God descendant

Then also proceeds to tell Gudas to take responsibility of their job because he DIDN’T FUCKING COMMUNICATE except to be the most useless and self-centered flawless asshole who thinks everything is people’s problem except himself

Also knowing he could do something to protect Mash from further experiments and asshole Beryl, BUT NOPE, choose to stay behind mope in the shadows to complain about everything

At this point considering how’s he still resisting to obey Gudas, I might as well assume unless he has a good reason, he’s just practically Chaldea’s enemy and siding with Alien God to kill them

So majority of the fandom would like to queue up to beat the shit out of his purity and wake the fuck up in actually communicating instead of assuming everyone in his head. And also stop shitting on your father just because you’re also happen to be an insecure dickhead that everyone prefers your father over you.

1. nick valentine - clockwork PI 

positives: he’s a robot detective who loves neon and smokes even though he has no lungs you know he’s a man who appreciates aesthetic.

negatives: none

2. old longfellow - old salty 

positive: grandpa time. he's perfect. this man is everyone's rough and tumble but supportive grandfather. he's a rough block of wood, well worn and with a sense of humor, drinking habits, great dialogue, fantastic personality and can follow you around, he never outwears his welcome. he can even follow you around the commonwealth. rivals nick valentine for best companion to me.negative: i can't really think of ANY.

3. codsworth - lovable orb 

positives: truly a stalwart companion, never abandons you, waited 2 centuries for the player character. it made me upset you couldn't romance them, the character who truly had a connection with you. they're fantastic and the top 3 was a REALLY close call.

negatives: cannot romance, wHY TODD YOU COWARD

4. preston garvey - minutemen general 

positive:  i can't even bring myself to post a jokey image for him he's just that good. god his character is good. he's a broken man, but he still doesn't stop helping others, or giving up hope. he's truly a good person, but not unrealistic. he has his limits, and can bend and break. and unlike other companions strangely, he DOES have more loyalty breaking points than the others, like if you side with raiders he will shoot you on sight. unless you deviate from the carefully curated quest paths in which case aaaaaaa also his backstory good, and i like how he faces his inner demons, altho i wish he'd just take the mantle of general. he honestly deserves it.

DOWNSIDES: ANOTHER SETTLEMENT NEEdS OUR HELP. making any companion a never ending, radiant quest hub, is a BAD FECKIN IDEA BOYO. BUCKO ITS A BAD IDEA. as a result of him being a radiant quest hub, its the onbly thing people know about him, care about, and experience while in game, because before and after every character interaction is something about his radiant quest hub quests. also romancing him feels HORRIBLE just like mac cready.

5. john maccready - ratface 

positives:  Positives, I like snarky mercs. And he had real Scout vibes.Honestly if you forget he existed in any other fallout games, on his own he's a decent companion. I like having him around, he's like that coworker of yours who keeps stealing office supplies but he always has spare smokes if you ask. honestly maccready is like if you dipped piper in the FEV. he's just a better version of her.  she's too heavy handed i'm sorry

negative:  again bethesda's bad design about being afraid of upsetting consumers. because once you finish his personal quest, spoilers getting the cure for his infant son's sickness, he should IMMEDAITELY RETURN TO HIS SON. WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE MAC AND CHEESE. GO RAISE YOUR SON. also romancing him just feels dirty and manipulative. this MAN IS CLEARLY STILL GREIVING FOR HIS DEAD WIFE!!!  most of the romance paths honestly feel dirty and manipulative to me, like you're taking advantage of their friendship and trust in you

6. Ada - actual wife 

positives: i love robots and this is like if curie didn't suck and wasn't born sexy yesterday. she has a character arc and is cool and has personality and also she's made of different robot parts when she starts out and that's cool. her story is good and even her generic lines are charming.

negatives: after the mechanist dlc is over she has no more unique cool things to say, and its sad they didn't prepare enough dialogue for her

7. john danse - paladin pants 

positives: danse is a trooper, he's a boot boy yeah. in literal apocalypse land tho, understandable. also he is loyal to his team and anyone he considers his friends. once he spoilers is exiled from the brotherhood for being a synth and loses his way he does lose some of his hangups, becomes a more thoughtful person. his character arc is good, i like how he ends up.

negatives: holy fuck my cat just jumped in my lap he's like my way or the highway haha. anyways back to pants paladin. like i said he has some hangups, aka his racism from living in the brotherhood, a proto-fascist military cult. but honestly this doesn't make him a bad character, and he does get better from it. i'm gonna be real here the only negative about him is again, THE ROMANCE PATH. IT FEELS SO NEGATIVE AND DIRTY AND MANIPULATIVE. like i see people say he's a bad character but no he's just a bad person. and even then, he does learn and adapt.you can have characters who aren't good people in your stories

8. piper - waifu bait 

positive:  extra extra read all about it, the tracer of fallout 4 not totally a bad thing tho, she's just.obviously the companion you're supposed to like the most.

negative:  her quirkiness has its charms but it can be KINDA much sometimes. also she’s obvious waifu bait. however in the end she's really more a person i'd want to argue with as a friend and hang just chill around she's pushy tho and i don't like being railroaded into certain quests or storybeats.

9. dog - dog 

positive: dog is dog

negative: is not robot detective or butler, but is still good

10. deacon - MY EYES!!! 

positives: charming spy man, so deep in the weeds he doesn't even know his own past or even if he's a synth. that's quirky and cute. he also has that very obvious spy charm of, his disguise is just him wearing clothes. iits funny like superman putting glasses on.

negatives: honestly he's just kinda bland. he's such a mystery wrapped in an enigma locked in a puzzlebox owned by that demon guy with the needles in his head, that there's nothing to know about him. really i can't figure him out. or get to know him.then again some of that is due to trust issues. i mean neat character trait but there's not much for me to consume here.

11. john hancock - anarcho beef jerky 

positive:  he's a pretty free wheeling kinda dude and i like that, he stands up against bad authority, to an extent, and that's where some of my issues crop up

negative:  it could also be blamed on shitty bethesda afraid you wouldn't do certain content if it locked you out of your favorite companions, but he'll stand with you through allying with the institute, the brotherhood, anyone. also his anarchist leadership style has resulted in a lot of issues for his community he doesn't seem keen on fixing or reflecting on anytime soon. also constant substance abuse and he'll encourage you to take on the party hardy lifestyle tooi just look at freeside i mean goodneighbor i mean freeside and i think "man you're supposed to be the king i mean the mayor you should do better". ripoff of the king i'm gonna rip off the bandaid tbh, not even as cool as the king. the king really looked out for freesiders while hancock kinda just... meanders about the place. being mayor with no authority on purpose just makes you, a guy who kills people sometimes.

12. automatron - build-a-bear workshop BUT WITH GUN 

positive: there's a few distinct personality modules and voice actors for the automatron companions, each one is enjoyable, i liked them, and they were all different from each other. i consider them like mini companions. plus being able to build your very own custom robots with any parts you want is the most epic part of this companion.

negative: the dialogue for the voice actor packs is pretty limited, like pretty limited. not a lot to hear before they loop. i'd have to say these are more neutral than even X6-88 for me

13. X6-88: oh that uniquely named courser that showed up as i destroyed the institute, wait he was a companion??? 

positives:

negatives:for real tho he's just uh, again kind of a Nothing character. not as disappointing as Strong tho. As an institute courser he's just... well he just Is. he exists. doesn't really question his nature tho, or consider what life would be like outside the institute... its like if Danse had no character arc at all and spoilers just stayed in the brotherhood like a good proto-fascist feudalistic power armored boot boy. he feels like a quota like todd howard walked in the design room and said "we need an institute companion" and then the designers said "... fuck. we're almost done with the game's story okay lets cook something up". i'd have to say he's perfectly average. he's like the bland guy from the wendys commercials about how spicy their chicken is

14. porter gage - why do i keep stepping on this rake 

positives: his armor looks cool, and his voice actor is good. i like that a raider character is portrayed by a sneaky advisor type instead of just a chest beating tough guy on chems. porter is an interesting take, and his motivations and methods are interesting.

negatives: his motivations don't make sense though. he's seen over and over in his life that raiders simply are unsustainable and don't work, always breaking apart. yet he... still wants to be a raider, and advise raider gangs? it doesn't make sense. also if you buddy up with him preston will hate you, and you have to eliminate your OWN settlements in the commonwealth. sorry porter but i'm not willing to make that kind of sacrifice at all. he's alright as a character but not really deep. having a backstory doesn't mean you're deep, that's Bethesda Deep™. Bad, no. Die now with the rest of nuka world, gage.

15. strong - fallout 3 was a mistake 

positives: non-human companion, i like that. super mutants are always cool

negatives: lumpy and misshappen as fuck oh god he's like a slab of moldy ribs. also his character? what character? he's just a bog standard super mutant, not even a cool one from the west coast. he's just an orc, a raider painted green with half a brain and a penchant for eating people. he doesn't change or evolve, he's just. he's a Nothing character.

16. curie - born french yesterday 

positives:  so i guess i should start with the positives since that's a trend in this list now. positives! robot, and one that's both aware of how the world's dead but wants to learn, and make it better. i always like robots, and well. uh. robot. i'm out of positives now.

negatives: she is the living embodiment of th e born sexy yesterday trope. profoundly naive, yet unimaginably wise. and spoilers once she gets a SEXAYYYYY human bod from a braindead synth, her naive nature is played up even further as WHAT EEZ DIS STRANGE FEELING UWU I FEEL HORMONE AND LUUUV its bad, its bad its bad. french maid plus nurse wrapped into one, with the mind of a child, aka its the born sexy yesterday trope. and you can only fuc once she's out of the robot body and this makes betheseda COWARDS. LET ME HAVE MY ROBOTS.

What ability would you have in the BSD universe?

Melodic Speed: The more I listen to music the faster and agile I get. Pretty simple, I like simple. It could get to the point that others are unable to see me because I'm that fast. (I combined two things I do most often, listening to music and being slow. Totally not inspired by Hamatora.)

If you could claim someone's ability in BSD, whose ability would you want?

(Don't say Chuuya's, don't say Chuuya's)

I'm really tempted by Edgar's ability. To trap people in books until they solve the mystery inside? I'd say dope! That would also make me write more as I have a few people I'd like to trap, just for fun~

What group/organization would you join?

Port Mafia for sure as I'm a villain at heart but still want to have a reliable and strong family around me. Also because I can wear a lot of black. But Mori can stay locked in his room.

Which BSD character do you identify with the most?

Honestly Ranpo. I do the exact same things that he does, laze around and eat baked goods. But that's only on the outside.

On the inside I identify with Chuuya a lot. Him hating betrayals is something that hits too close to home. Him wanting to protect Port Mafia that took him in after his previous group pushed him away. Him being loyal as heck not even knowing if he'll be able to stay forever or not. Like I said, hits too close to home.

Who are your top five favourite BSD characters?

(Surprise surprise)

Dazai: The very first time he appeared I took him for an asshole, which he kinda is. But then I quickly grew to like him as I was getting interested in his character on a deeper level. I like his two faced personality, he acts derpy and cute only to turn into a mischievous sadist that he truly is. The Dark Era also made me gain respect and much more love for him.

Chuuya: He introduced me to BSD when I first saw him in this MEP (bless and R.I.P MDS). So in 2016! I even remember watching BSD during Christmas Eve dinner under the table! Not gonna lie, his looks hooked me in. When I finally got him after so many episodes I was interested even more. He has some history with my boy Dazai? Show me, tell me! Until recently I've been thirsty for some more Chuuya and got it in the new season, I'm still gonna read the actual light novel though. But nonetheless, I'm satisfied. I actually hope BONES doesn't make him an another main character because I like him as he is. I like redhead hotheads like Chuuya or Taiga Kagami. Also, I was already a huge fan of GRANRODEO in 2016 so hearing Kishow was a blessing. All thanks to Kuroko no Basket. ♡

Oda: His precious heart made me love him! He just wanted to write, to take care of the kids. Each time I remember my heart cries a river. And each time something new comes to the BSD universe with him in it I love it but also can't take it.

MANGA SPOILERS

Tecchou: First of all, I really like the concept of Hunting Dogs. Second of all, this boy is precious. Justice fighter who respects people that want to protect others. The whole scene with the cafe owner moved my freaking heart, I kid you not. Unlike other members of the Hunting Dogs he doesn't want to bring down ADA just because they're supposed criminals but because it's his job to keep the country and it's people safe. And so he's doing it, no matter what he must do. I'm pretty sure that if he would find out the truth he'll try to stop his teammates and explain who's the real villain here. I hope it happens! His habits are also hilarious.

Michizou: I don't know if I can count him as a "favorite" yet but I really liked what Asagiri-sensei and Harukawa-sensei did with him. The reveal is one of my favorite manga scenes ever! I'm looking forward to seeing more of him as I was dying to since I started watching BSD. I won't forgive him for hurting Gin though, that's one huge minus.

Are there any authors that you'd want to bring into the BSD universe that hasn't arrived yet? Or do you have OCs?

Oh boy, here we go!

I do have one author that I think would fit very well. He's a polish poet from a romanticism era (my fave) that wrote poems, epics, ballads. His name is Adam Mickiewicz ladies and gents. Why do I think he would fit? Well, he was born in Poland that didn't actually exist and people were fighting for its freedom. So fight was already in his blood which he later on proved by becoming a commander in a battle. He was in a lot of conspiracy groups. And because of that I feel like fitting in BSD is just a matter of what kind of organization is he going to be in. He even had contact and made friends with Russian Decemberists, made enemies with Pushkin (who already is in BSD). If Adam would be in BSD I believe he'd have contact with the Rats before they fled to Japan. And because of his conspiracy origins I say he spied on the Rats from within. As for his ability I believe it would be some fighting type one as real life Adam took part in battles. I wanted to give him an ability that has something to do with his play "Dziady" but I haven't really decided yet.

How has Bungou Stray Dogs changed you as a person? Did you learn anything from it?

I learned that I strive to write as good as Asagiri-sensei because his writing is amazing in my opinion. BSD also introduced me to a ton of Japanese authors as it's the case with most of its watchers. And even though I don't have a lot of time to read their books now (school and grade chasing as I only have 3 weeks to improve them), I'm going to read EVERYTHING I CAN during summer vacations. Who is more likely to hurt the other?

I suppose Inuyasha; it’s already a thing that when his youkai blood fully takes over due to some outside force, he loses his self-control and is a danger to everyone… Kagome is able to help him keep more control of himself, but… Didn’t he actually hurt her when he transformed once in the final act? The final battle with Naraku? Rip

Who is emotionally stronger?

Definitely Kagome. Inuyasha has put up with a lot, A LOT, of tragedy in his life, and continues on with a brave face… But just because he never like, breaks down crying over things, doesn’t mean that he’s entirely emotionally strong. He still lets his anger and jealousy get the better of him, and, well we all know he can generally act pretty immature pff.Kagome may let her tears show, but, she also continues on with a brave face, and  yet unlike Inuyasha, she didn’t grow up in these times of tragedy and demon-like youkais overrunning the world, she wasn’t conditioned to the emotional trauma like he was. But she too continues on with a brave face. Also she was so emotionally strong that she was able to willingly decide to loyally stay by Inuyasha, even though his guilt-driven loyalty to Kikyou in turn tore her apart inside… That is emotional strength right there dang (and it pays off in the end \o3o/ )

Inuyasha with how he gets beaten to a fricken pulp all the dang time. His youkai blood allows him to survive it and quickly heal from such injuries, but, doesn’t mean he still doesn’t get them injuries fndsjfndsjk. Though I do wonder how Kagome’s never gotten frickin broken bones from all the times she’s been hit by something and thrown multiple feet to land on the hard sometimes rocky ground fvbdhsjfkbdh

These two both know plenty of how to get on each other’s nerves pff… I guess I’d have to say Kagome though, since Inuyasha gets riled up so easily, she could get him upset with just a word if she wanted to. He entertains me as a player, does more to a plot than anyone else ever and always stays in character. worst quality: Chapter 5, period. Writing a 300 page script while dying from being shot two times AND getting poisoned? Fucking what? ship them with: Junko (mayyyyyybe), but he’s not a shippable character for me  brotp them with: Kaede, Gonta, Komaeda, Togami, Kuzuryuu, Gundam needs to stay away from: Kaito and Kodaka. Also from Komaeda, obviously. And anyone whose name begins with ‘K’ I guess.  misc. thoughts: Didn’t like him at first, but oooooh boy. When Kaede left this world he was the only one to save me. The only character who tried to make this game at least barely interesting, always staying as optimistic as Kaede (!), being cynical and smart, someone to relate to. I don’t even want to know what fandom makes of him, another Komaeda I guess? But for me he is a small, tiny male Junko, though not as smart and despairing as her. One of the best DR characters, at least one of the most interesting to look at. He is not only Komaeda, but also Gundam of v3.

Shuichi Saihara

He’s not brave nor cunning, but he’s smart, though he doesn’t seem very ravenclawish... that leaves us with hufflepuff and I guess he is loyal, so. best quality: Megumi Hayashibara as his VA, also loved his design and loving it now. He is kinda relatable. worst quality: Tries to replace Kaede and fails miserably. He’s a coward, bland and uninteresting. ship them with: I don’t want to imagine that  brotp them with: Hinata, he could teach him a thing or two about being simple but interesting needs to stay away from: Kaede, Maki and Kaito and v3 cast in general. But especially Kaede. misc. thoughts: I thought I’d love him for his design, talent and VA but... geez. To be frank, he does have a development, though I hate the way it happens. He acts kinda cool in later chapters, finding truth even when others tell him to stfu and vote, I’ll give him credit for it. People hate him for protag switch and while I don’t exactly give enough fucks to hate him, I don’t like him. As a character he’s not bad. As a protagonist he’s a shitty mess. I can’t really tell how I feel about him; at times he seems okay, but then I think about everything Kaede could be and he wasn’t, and it fills me with rage. If he was a character in the first installment, he could pass, but in v3 where they fucking compare him to Kaede? No, thank you.

She’d break down into tears of joy when your child calls her ‘mama’ for the first time.*Overall, she’d eb a very caring, comforting, and loving girlfriend to you and a second mom to your child. No matter what happens next she knows she has the two of you. The two people besides Winter and Klein who she loves the most. She would introduce you to Winter though. Had your heart broken?: Once yeah, an old childhood crush was honestly insensitive when I asked him if he ever felt something for me &  he said “ehhh not really?” in a way that came off as insensitive XD?....yeah. But the MORE I thought about why I liked him, the more I realized I could NEVER be in a relationship with them cuz they were immature & didn’t know how to be serious.They don’t balance goofiness & sensitivity & I need a balanced person
