Already drew Kalim, so baby Trey and Cater it is!!

Trey almost looked like a normal human baby besides his weird little wings, tail and talons (Trey is half-human, half-harpy). Compared to others he didn't look that bad

CATER ON THE OTHER HAND... looked like a wannabe charmander, scaley from head to toe and he was much grosser looking when he first hatched. I don't think Cater would like it if anyone saw his baby pictures that's for sure

Lu Ten comes back in For the Spirits Chapter VII: Take Me South, only to leave Zuko with more questions than answers. Just how much is he truly aware of? When will he return? What is Zuko going to do now?

hii i was curious if you had any tips on how to use whiteboard :3 your art in it looks so smooth and im trying to get used to using whiteboard too!!

1st image: Sure! I only learned how to draw on WB by watching other, so it's only fair I share what I learned! First I make a sketch in a light color! I also use a smaller brush!

2nd image: Then I line! I use a darker color and bigger brush for this. Though I enjoy using a smaller brush for details like blush and hair strands.

3rd image: Next step takes the longest. You gotta erase the sketch! Because it's in a diff color, its easier to erase but it still takes a bit.

4th image: BOOM! Add any extra details, fix anything you wanna fix and your done!

Aight just a warning I'm pretty new to Tumblr and I'm DEFINITELY new to making AUs so I'm pretty nervous to post anything here but I figured I'd just rip the band-aid off.

FIRST POST HYPE!! :D

Anyways I love Mario and I love Undertale and I NEEDED TO COMBINE THEM LEGALLY so I decided to make an au about it! Dunno if I'm actually going to do anything serious with this, I mostly just want to imagine cute shenanigans with my favorite characters and whatnot, but who knows? Maybe I'll actually try to give this a proper plot

So here's the basic info:

- Mario and Luigi, in the midst of trying to chase down Bowser, who has just kidnapped the princess again, somehow wind up far away from the Mushroom Kingdom and on Mt. Ebott. Where, of course, they fall into the underground.

- All the monsters are pretty much their canon counterparts (at least, my best interpretation of them 💀)

- Mario ends up discovering he has the power to reset/load/save/etc, but Luigi does not. This is because Mario has the most determination to get out of here and save the princess

- Toriel isn't quite as overprotective of them as she would be if they were a literal child like Frisk, but she is still very motherly towards them because it's just kinda who she is. She would probably be concerned about them potentially attacking the monsters so she might make them promise not to hurt anyone. I still don't think she would want them to leave because Asgore would take their souls

- Honestly mostly this is just an excuse for the Mario Bros and the Skelebros to hang out XD

- the thing that is really interesting is that Mario and Luigi are not 1, but 2 humans, which means only one of their souls would be needed to break the barrier. This ends up becoming a real issue but I could see it being resolved in a few ways.

1. one of the bros self sacrifices so the underground goes free (much to the dismay of the other, and also my heart would break haha)

2. They decide to just stay in the underground instead of going home (but they would be pretty sad about it because oh no their kingdom is still in danger

3. ??? IDK tbh

- Since Mario can load saves, he's just constantly in this angsty cycle of trying to keep his bro from getting killed off ;;

- Not sure if Mario could keep the resets secret for long since Flowey would taunt them about it, but he definitely would be pretty closed off about it, especially to Luigi. He does NOT want Luigi to know about the horrible things he's seen

-ofc cut to Luigi being confused as heck as to why Mario seems to already know what's going to happen.

- they have cute sweaters because I said so

- not sure how omega fight would work, but either way Mario would have to fight to save both of them (probably all by himself :c)

- I want them to eventually do true pacifist but IDK how it would work so I'm not gonna think about it too hard rn

- Mario and Undyne having a friendly rivalry about who's the most heroic

- sans trying to convince them they could just stay in the underground and they're like "no we have to save the tiny mushroom people" and he's like "ur just like my bro fr"

- monster speculation about the purpose of mustaches

- It would be kinda funny if they had the firebrand and thunderhand since... Like... Humans aren't supposed to be able to do magic

- "are you sure you're humans? You're so small"

- *confused Italian noises*

what are your favorite and/or least favorite steps of your drawing/comic creation process?

OOH! Great question!

I love pretty much all the steps in traditional art. Sometimes lining can get stressful, since it is a point of no return for making adjustments. Most favourite goes to thumbnailing and composition!

Digital colouring takes the bread home for 'least favourite though'. It just doesn't hit the same way as traditional colouring does.

(Casting out a spell for other people to share their most/least favourite steps; I am genuinely curious as to see where artists fall!)

Oh wow. It's wild how things come full circle. When I was about ten, I somehow ended up with the second book in a trilogy. Never the first, not for another 15 years at least, but it was dense and it was thick and it came from the dollar tree.

I don't know that I would have called it good, at ten, but I remember I was determined to read it through. I have memories of reading it while following my mom through Kroger while she shopped, as I very early mastered reading and walking at the same time. Crucially, it was one of my first exposures to largely Irish but broadly northern folklore. It's where I first learned of the fey (that I recall) and the tricksy logic they employ. In many ways, this random book shaped my view of storytelling in a way I wouldn't see again for another decade when my friend left her copy of gaiman's "Stardust" at work and I read it before giving it back to her the next day.

The book was The Lady of the Sorrows, the second in the Bitterbynde trilogy by Cecilia Dart-Thornton, and a few years ago I bought the series on my Kindle and managed to read the first book for the first time. Again, I don't know if I would have called it good, but there were nuggets - sections of prose that lifted from the page, an overall sense of wildness and charm that kept me going through subjects and meandering scenes pages long that would've lost me in pretty much any other book.

I started reading it again a few nights ago, determined to see it through and finally read all three. It IS good, actually, at least to my tastes, but then I've had years and years to marinate and be oddly shaped by it in a way that leads to me feeling so at home with it now. It's a kind of high fantasy that usually puts me right to sleep. Yes it's impressive that you're telling me the dimensions of this castle and where the bricks came from, but did it have to take ten pages before the characters took another step - usually right into another broad description?

Anyway I just got to the second book and read the foreword, which starts with a quote by Tanith Lee... Tanith Lee, where had I heard that name? And recently? I had a hunch and a search confirmed it - she was one of the biggest writers Gaiman ripped off without saying a word.

So at ten years old I had my world crucially shaped in some way by a random book from the dollar store, about ten years later I read my first Gaiman book and spent years enamored with the way he told stories and personified concepts as people/demigods, and then so soon after needing to put some distance between myself and "his" works I came to realize that some of my very first memories of big, epic books came from another author enamored with Tanith Lee but who had actually deigned to mention her in her works.

Wild. I'm definitely going to read Tanith Lee next, whenever I finish the 20-year task of reading this series. I just never thought that random book I was so enamored with despite its density, with all of its lore and study of the fey and its arched manner of speech, would have ripples from ripples years and years later even beyond the lifelong affinity for the fair folk and their legends. I've played so many video games and loved objectively underwhelming media because it was rooted in this familiar kind of lore. In school I created OCs with ties to the fey, and the same in later years playing dnd. My current character is from the feywild, and it all leads back to here. In a roundabout way, this woman I had never heard of has been the source of so much of the stories I have found to be great and lasting.
