Of course. Of course you missed him, Jake. You didn't want to admit it, but you missed him presence. You missed the man who you once loved with all of your heart and soul. The day after he left you in shambles, you just didn't know what to do with yourself.

You still felt completely numb.

It had been 5 days since your guy's breakup, and anyone could tell that you were a fucking mess. You hadn't showered or even gotten out of your room for the past 5 days. Your close friend, sunoo, was the person checking up on you and bringing you food to eat.

And to put it simply, you felt and probably looked like dog shit.

Jake, he was the first guy you ever had any feelings for- of course the breakup affected you. But you were very sure that it wasn't affecting him!

Your brain was about to put more useless thoughts of Jake in your head, but you didn't let it.

Truly, you wanted absolutely nothing to do with him anymore.

As soon as you feel the first drop of warm water on your skin, your whole body relaxes. Wow, thank god for showers. Like, actually. After 5 minutes of just standing and drowning yourself in the warm water, you freshen up and get out.

You already feel so much better. I mean, you just washed off all the icky germs, right?

You quickly dry your hair and do your skincare and then head to your closet to pick out an outfit. While in the shower, you decided that you wanted to go to the local cafe to get a drink and of course, some fresh air.

After what felt like almost an hour of searching for the best outfit, you ended up choosing a pair of flared jeans, a brown leather jacket, and an off-white cropped top. To accessorize, you put on some chunky earrings and a few rings.

You can't help but smile, you feel so much more alive. Maybe you really didn't need Jake in your life anymore.

Quickly, you grab your purse and keys and walk out of your apartment.

Once you stepped outside, you immediately felt the warm sunlight on your skin. The sun wasn't too bright, and the weather was cool with a slight breeze. You forgot how much you loved being outside, especially during autumn.

While on the way to the cafe, you spot two birds on a traffic light. Past y/n would've definitely went back home and sobbed for two hours straight. But for some reason, you didn't feel like crying. You didn't feel sad. You found the birds cute and just moved on.

After a 15 minute walk to the cafe, you order your vanilla latte and quickly find a seat. You can't lie, that walk was kind-of tiring.

While waiting for your order number to be called, you pull out your phone and headphones that you brought with you in your purse. You unlock your phone and immediately go to spotify and connect your headphones. You quickly put your headphones on and click "play" on your favorite playlist.

Music. Music was so healing for you. Music always made you feel better. Music was the bestfriend you never had.

You get up from your seat and walk over to the counter to get your latte. You turn to head back to your seat and oh.

THE BEST EPISODE OF MERLIN!!!

This is such simple story telling, a proper ghost story, lots of jump scares - and, like many horror genre stories, a strong queer subtext.

So, I'm currently getting to the end of Merlin and oh my god is it the gayest thing in the world, where was it when I needed it? Why didn't I watch it? It was literally on telly when I was being homophobically rejected by my family? I've always been an idiot, this is clear. Series 5, Episode 3, The Death Song of Uther Pendragon

“I will not allow you to destroy all that I have built! Camelot must come before all else. Even you.” — Uther to Arthur

This is what homophobic family rejection feels like. To your family, you are a destructive force. Your feelings are a demolition ball. Your peace and happiness means nothing. It is the family image, and the hopes and expectations of the parents that matters more then anything else. You must suffer in the dark. You cannot hope to see the light. It doesn't matter if you're still breathing.

The relationship between Arthur and Merlin in this episode felt like the closest we've seen yet - and this is just after they have fallen asleep in a net trap, with their faces squished together, so that's pretty darn close. (Let's not forget, they are 'more than friends, more than brothers'.) And as they demonstrate closeness, they are assailed by the ghost of Arthur's father. (It's homophobia, guys.) Arthur says repeatedly he has so many things he wanted to say to Uther, that he didn't get to say to him when he was alive. What are these unsaid things? These secrets? What does Arthur wish that Uther had known - and accepted? That he's a beautiful gay boy in love with Merlin? In the land of the dead, Uther does not allow Arthur to speak, but instead details his shame. He is talking about Gwen, but he says: "There are certain things that are more important than love." All of Arthur's actions have been made out of love - his decision to knight the unnoble, to marry 'beneath him' rather then make a strategic alliance. Uther says "How can I be proud of a son who ignores everything I taught him? Who is destroying my legacy?" Uther, over the course of the episode, makes it clear he would rather see Arthur dead before he allowed him the freedom and grace to follow his true will. (HOMOPHOBIA!!!)

Merlin's 'magic' (*wink*) is revealed to Uther - he is, true to form, appalled and repulsed by it. Uther Pendragon: You have magic? Merlin: [quivering with anger] I was born with it! Uther Pendragon: I made you Arthur's servant. You are a sorcerer? Merlin: Even while you were king, there was magic at the heart of Camelot! Uther Pendragon: I will not allow you and your kind to poison… Merlin: You're wrong. Uther Pendragon: …my kingdom! Uther remembers that it was he himself that gave Merlin access to Arthur in close quarters. I think the reading that to 'have magic' is to 'be gay' - a motif anchoring the show, resounds so strongly in this episode. And here, Uther continues in death to rage against allowing magical people to 'poison' the kingdom - in the way that homophobic rhetoric implies homosexuality can be inborn or acquired, but it always corrupts, seduces, pollutes and recruits. Uther is appalled that he positioned Merlin by Arthur's side, and opened him to this poison. Uther, like all ghosts, is vengeful. He has deep shame for the choices Arthur has made, and is making... Uther's attempts to hurt, maim or kill anything that is outside of his conservative approval... if that's not an allegory for homophobic parental rejection, I don't know what is.

Do you have magic? ARE YOU GAY!?

But this episode is bright! And funny! Merlin and Arthur are in each others pockets in this episode. They are always engaging in 'horseplay' but there is so much of it here. There is this act of boundary crossing that causes them both to pause.

ARTHUR: When do I hit you?

MERLIN: All the time.

ARTHUR: That's not hitting, Merlin, that's merely friendly slaps. It's horseplay.

MERLIN: So can I give you a 'friendly slap'?

ARTHUR: You can certainly try.

MERLIN grabs one of Arthur's leather gloves and thwacks him on the back of the head with it. His face is one of immediate regret.

ARTHUR: (Amused) What the hell was that?

MERLIN: It was, um, horseplay.

ARTHUR: No, Merlin, you're doing it all wrong. Why don't I show you? "WHY DON'T I SHOW YOU?"!!!!!!!!!! There is no heterosexual explanation for this one, boys:

There's rough horseplay. There's also tenderness. Arthur can't get enough of Merlin 'teaching him poetry'.

Sir Leon: I'll leave you to your poetry, then, my Lord. Arthur: Poetry? That's the best you could come up with? Merlin: What did you want me to say? Arthur: I don't know. Something that didn't make me sound like a love struck girl. Merlin, could you disguise our behaviour and our surprise, in a way that doesn't position me as 'love struck' and in a reversed gender role? Not today! Subtle as a brick.

And I am LIVING for the moment Uther, positioned between Arthur and Merlin, is forcibly sent back to the land of the dead. In true Merlin style, it is both comedic and devastating. Uther shouts 'MERLIN HAS...!!' before disappearing in a gasp. It's like he's pathetically shouting 'GAYLORD!' as Arthur blows his (own) trumpet and in doing so, drowns him out, and removes him as an obstacle in the way of Merlin. And then Arthur and Merlin are panting and in tears together. I think it is impossible to go through homophobic parental rejection and not be moved by this moment. I was in tears with them ... and laughing! This is a great show.

10 out of 10. I don't know how this thing ends (well, I've read the Thomas Malory...) but this episode alone is one of the best TV things I've seen.

My challenge to induce pure consciousness before Christmas🎄

Hello everyone,

So I know that in my earlier posts I said that I am not really in favor of challenges but I see a lot of people struggling and overcomplicating the void and I've decided to make a challenge that will get you into the void state in less than 3 days if you really stick to it, and if you don't stick to it consistently, you'll still be able to get into the void before December 25th (which is like 26 days away from now).

The challenge is to use SATs to enter the void state and I'll explain how. But first, y'all need to understand what the void is exactly.

SO when you have to eat your breakfast, do you google or search youtube videos on how to eat? Or if you want to fall asleep, do you google how to fall asleep? We actually don't know what causes us to fall asleep if you think about it. So when we set the intention, our subconscious follows through because we've always been doing it and no one told us that sleeping is not real. So the void state is just another state of consciousness that doesn't need to be forced and it cannot be forced. You just set the intention. However, people have been programmed to believe that things like the void are too good to be true (SMFH).

SOOOOO here's the challenge:

STEP ONE is to do ANY kind of yoga, workout, or stretch before bed. You can do breathing sitting up or simply a meditation to calm your mind. Make sure to not use electronics before bed for at least an hour.

STEP TWO is to get into a comfortable position. It doesn't matter which position, just one that you know you can stay in for as long as necessary.

STEP THREE is to choose what you want to do in SATs. To induce the void, you choose to induce the void. You can say it to yourself or just relax and know what you want.

STEP FOUR is to begin to relax your body. You can do PMR where you tense then release each part of your body, then do breathing or anything until you have become completely relaxed.

STEP FIVE is to either visualize waking up with your desired face or whatever thing you want to get from the void and telling someone that you induced the void. Anything that indicates that you woke up in the void. OR you use the lullaby method where you pick one affirmation (I am in the void aware or I have induced pure consciousness). OR you can do both.

STEP SIX is to make sure you go to sleep with this affirmation or visualization in your mind. This is probably the most important part and what makes this method successful.

Please go watch "Neville Goddard Ladder lecture" in order to get how this works. BUT IT D O E S. Stop being so needy and do the challenge. It's literally not hard and there's no "failure". It's just a state.

Oh, and I made a playlist that I'll link down below for you to listen to throughout the day. It's not necessary but it helped me be happy and get rid of the "omg nothing wowks fow meeeeeee :(((" mentality. I will also link a good, trustworthy SATs subliminal that i used YEARS ago (like two years) and then didn't use again because I became obsessed with trying new methods.

mikasa: mikasa has a lot of love to give. when she loves you, she would lay down her own life a million times just for you to be happy. i think mikasa wants someone who makes it all worth it. who would do the same thing for her. also for someone to help her make sense of her conflicting feelings. just generally, someone very loving and almost parental.

armin: armin wants the best of both worlds. he likes being flustered, and being told what to do, but he likes being in control as well. he likes spoiling his loved ones and doting on them. i think he really likes cute people. cute people with a more forceful domineering side. or fierce looking people with a cute side.

jean: i think jean lives inside a shell. he’s really scared of the outside world, and is scared of wearing his heart on his sleeve. he’s scared to be childish and free. i mean last time he chased childish ideals, his friend died! i think he needs someone really positive, tender, and fun to remind him that it’s okay to chase comfort and fun sometimes. you can be a responsible adult and a carefree child at the same time. they also have to be patient because unlearning everything will be very painful for him.

connie: someone exactly like him. someone who can keep up w his nonsense and his endless energy. i remember isayama saying that connie’s ideal type would be a gyaru and i totally agree. i don’t think he likes quiet meek people. he likes people who are loud and colorful and express themselves as such. also someone emotionally mature because i feel he admires that.

erwin: i think erwin can love anyone. his heart is just that big. he can see the beauty in anyone and bring it out. you just have to be able to handle him. outside of the world of titans, erwin would probably be a kind of weird person? he’d probably be able to lead a normal life, but i think he’s just the type of person that wants to be part of something greater. a normal life would never satisfy him. and i think you’d have to just be okay with going along for the ride.

Okay first of all, I don't mind the rant at all! Actually I loved this bit of insight into his character. You're right, a lot of the trauma for him had to do with a "forced change" of his body that he felt was not of his own will, rather than just the prosthetics part.

HOWEVER, a lot of moments in Canto 3 have him expressing a dislike of the prosthetics too, mainly how he feels very depersonalized in the way it makes people look. He has difficulty connecting with his family, since they no longer have human faces and don't need to eat, for example, and it was this reason he had trouble adjusting to Dante at first, cause their prosthetic head reminded him a lot of his parents.

BUT, I don't think this means he's forever stuck hating or resenting the idea of augmentations. Like you said, he'd have gotten to a point in his life where he's more comfortable with that idea, if he's doing it on his own terms. While it's implied he got his 'augments' to be better qualified for a job in the Devyat Association, it may not be that he felt forced to do it, either. Besides, it was clearly an operation that kept most of his physical body intact, at least looking mostly the same.

(also re: the book and the "bierzomowanie," it sounds like that was a Confirmation ceremony based on the whole "officially entering the church" thing.)

I like your points! This puts a more positive spin on his character here, even how much grumpier he comes off. Have you noticed this Sinclair is more assertive and blunt than usual? Instead of shyly saying he's just glad to be of help or was even able to pass a check encounter, he flatly tells you not to ask him to do errands again. When he staggers or kills an enemy he tells them to get out of his way. He's already showing signs of that in the main timeline (see: telling the Fanghunt Fixer to "shut the fuck up") but he's not *quite* there yet (see: falters immediately after while trying to sound threatening to the same Fixer).

I kind of like the direction Devyat Sinclair takes, tl;dr I think he's done a lot of character developiong in this timeline.

Just some words I've been needing to hear for a few weeks now and once I finally wrote them down, I thought maybe there were other people who might need to hear them too ❤️

You don't need to be anyone's favorite writer for your writing to be good.

The worth of your writing is not measured by whether or not you're included in fic recs or the amount of comments/asks you get.

Your works don't need to be recognized as some of The fics of the fandom to be good or worth reading.

'Popular' writers in your fandom are also just writers (and humans!!) : you don't need to impress or be noticed by them to have a place in your fandom. Fandom should be fun so don't let your brain ruin it with a misplaced sense of competition <3

You don't need to post a fic every week to be considered a writer. You don't need to write every week to be a writer. There is no limited places in fandom: come and go as you want and as life allows you to. Post when you feel like it, there is no trend to surf on to stay 'relevant' as a fic writer or a content creator. Fandom will always wait for you.

Your writing is good, and the more you write, the more you find your style, the better it gets.

Your writing made someone's day. Your writing is helping the fandom stay alive. Your writing should make you happy, and that happiness should not be proportional to how recognized you are in your fandom.

I know it can be discouraging to see tons of fic recs in your fandom and none of them including your fics. But yesterday, when I was feeling down, I re-read my own published works because they were the stories I wanted to read. And I enjoyed reading them, so much. And that is enough to keep me writing, because it showed me there is no better person to write the stories I have in my head than myself (a huge progress considering months ago, I couldn't reread something I'd written because I was cringeing too hard to get through two sentences).

Find your people that will always hype you and your fics up: you and your writing don't have to appeal to every single person in your fandom. Write niche fics! Rarepairs seemingly no one brought up before! Include headcanons and takes and interpretations you've never seen written before!

Write the stories you are dying to read, and I promise you, you'll find other people who were hoping to find that story somewhere, too.

Your writing is unique because it can only ever be yours and same goes for your stories; your writing is worth reading and your stories are worth being written <3

Ich bin unglaublich dankbar für Michael Ende. Aber auch für Thomas Mann, für Max Frisch, für die ganzen Werke aus dem Deutschunterricht, zu denen man gezwungen wurde, die aber eigentlich doch gut waren.

Für Wickie, Biene Maja, Heidi, die ganzen Zeichentrickserien, die meine Kindheit zu dem gemacht haben, was sie war.

Für Robbi, Tobbi, und das Fliehwatüt in allen Varianten, vor allem aber für die Marionettenversion, in der so unglaublich viel Detailarbeit und Herzblut steckt.

Für die Augsburger Puppenkiste und ihre fantastischen Geschichten - so ein simples Format und doch einfach fantastisch.

Und ich muss nochmal die deutschen Märchen erwähnen. Nicht nur im Sinne von den Texten von den Gebrüdern Grimm, die sowieso schon fantastisch sind, sondern auch die Verarbeitungen davon. Zum Beispiel Simsala Grimm! Aber vor allem die Sonntagsmärchen, jedes Mal um 12 Uhr nach der Sendung mit der Maus. Das Who's Who der deutschen Schauspieler, die man sofort wiedererkennt, aber auch welche, die man sonst nie gekannt hat und die genauso glänzend. Und die Märchen sind alle mit so unglaublich viel Liebe umgesetzt, es ist wunderschön.

Außerdem: Für alle Synchronsprecher, die wir hatten, haben und haben werden. Sie leisten einfach so tolle Arbeit, dass einem teilweise gar nicht auffällt, dass der Film nicht ursprünglich auf Deutsch war, und ich finde das einfach bemerkenswert.

Deutsche Medien (im Sinne von Film, Musik, Literatur) haben eine ziemlich schlechte Reputation im Internet und überhaupt, deswegen möchte ich jetzt mal meine Dankbarkeit dafür ausdrücken, dass ich mit deutschsprachiger Kultur aufwachsen konnte.

Ich bin dankbar für Die Sendung mit der Maus und Käpt'n Blaubär und die Känguru-Chroniken. Ich bin dankbar für Ulrich Seidl und Michael Bully Herbig.
