Look at how much Jiyong adores and protects his baby hyung. 🥺 That is why I refuse to believe that Seunghyun leaving BIGBANG also means leaving his brothers behind. Nothing can come between them. 😭

The air inside the Chanel afterparty was thick with the scent of expensive perfume and fine champagne, a blur of murmured conversations and polite laughter. Paris had a way of making everything feel ethereal—timeless—but the moment you locked eyes with Kwon Ji-yong, time felt like it had stopped altogether.
He stood near the bar, one hand lazily wrapped around a crystal glass, the other tucked effortlessly into his pocket. Even in a room full of icons draped in couture, he stood out. Always had. And yet, it wasn’t the sharp lines of his suit or the effortless way he carried himself that held your attention. It was his eyes. Dark, searching, and unreadable. They traced over you like a memory long buried, one he wasn’t quite sure he wanted to unearth.
Your chest tightened. You should’ve known he’d be here. Fashion and Ji-yong went hand in hand—just like you and him once did. Still, nothing could’ve prepared you for the way seeing him again would make your pulse stutter, for the way his presence still felt like a song you hadn’t heard in years but somehow still knew the lyrics to.
He didn’t look away. Neither did you. So, you did the only thing you could—you closed the distance.
Ji-yong watched as you approached, his lips curving slightly—not quite a smile, not quite a smirk. "Didn’t think I’d see you here," he murmured, voice smooth as ever.
"Paris is big enough for the both of us," you replied, tone casual, though your heartbeat told a different story.
"Is it?" He tilted his head slightly, studying you. "Funny. I feel like I see you everywhere."
"Sounds like a personal problem."
You refused to be the first to break. A quiet pause. He probably didn’t mean it literally, but the weight of his words settled between you. Did he mean in headlines? In music? In memories?
He let out a soft chuckle, shaking his head as he took a sip of his drink. "Still quick with the comebacks, I see."
You shrugged. "Some things never change."
His expression flickered—just for a second. Barely noticeable, but you caught it. A shadow of something deeper, something raw. "Some things do," he said quietly.
That—that was the first real crack in his composure.
Your chest tightened, but you forced yourself to keep your expression unreadable. "Well," you exhaled, glancing around, "it’s good to see you’re still doing well."
"Are you?" His voice was softer now, but there was an edge to it—like he wasn’t sure if he wanted the answer.
"Of course," you answered, maybe too quickly. Too smoothly. Because what else were you supposed to say? That seeing him still made your heart ache? That Paris, no matter how romantic, still felt empty without him?
Ji-yong hummed, swirling the liquid in his glass. "Good." But he didn’t sound convinced.
You should’ve walked away. Should’ve let the moment pass, let him become just another face in the crowd, another ghost of your past that didn’t deserve to be resurrected. That would’ve been the smart thing to do—the safe thing. Just two people who used to know each other, exchanging polite words in a city meant for strangers and lovers alike. But that was the problem, wasn’t it? Ji-yong had never been just someone you used to know. He had been your beginning and your ending, the song that played in the quiet corners of your mind long after the music had stopped. And now, standing in front of him again, feeling the weight of his gaze, hearing the softness in his voice that made old wounds ache—you weren’t sure if you were strong enough to pretend he was just another person in the room.
"Did you ever miss me?"
His voice—so much quieter, so much heavier—cut through the space between you.
"Did you?" You shot back immediately.
Ji-yong didn’t answer right away. He just stared, gaze unreadable, jaw tightening slightly like he was debating whether or not to tell the truth. Finally, he exhaled a quiet laugh, shaking his head. "You always did know how to turn things around on me."
You smirked, but it didn’t quite reach your eyes. "Guess some things really don’t change after all."
A flicker of something crossed his face—something almost nostalgic. Almost sad.
Before either of you could say anything else, someone called his name. His momentary distraction gave you the chance to take a step back, breathe, and remind yourself that you weren’t that person anymore—the one who used to fall so easily into his orbit.
His gaze flickered back to yours, as if considering whether to pull you back in or let you go. And then, with one last lingering look, he gave you a slow, almost reluctant nod.
"Enjoy your night," he murmured before turning away.
Ji-yong didn’t look back as he disappeared into the crowd, but he felt you lingering—like a song stuck in his head, like the one thing he thought he’d buried but never really could. His grip on his drink tightened, his pulse a little too quick, his thoughts a little too loud. He had spent so long convincing himself that time had dulled the edges of what you once were, that he had moved past the ache of losing you. But seeing you tonight? Hearing your voice, sharp as ever, watching the way your lips curled into that familiar smirk—it unraveled something in him. You still got under his skin. And maybe the worst part? Some small, stupid, hopeless part of him wanted to believe that he still got under yours, too.
The night air was crisp, carrying the distant hum of Paris beneath it—the soft wail of a saxophone from a street musician, the muffled laughter of strangers, the city breathing all around you. The elegant wrap draped over your shoulders did little against the chill, but you weren’t sure if it was the cold or the lingering weight of Ji-yong’s presence that sent a shiver through you. The party inside carried on without you—glasses clinking, laughter rising and falling, conversations blending into a meaningless hum. But out here, on the secluded balcony overlooking the city skyline, everything was still.
The cigarette between your fingers burned slowly, thin wisps of smoke curling into the night air. You took a slow drag, letting the warmth settle in your lungs, but it didn’t help. Nothing did. You exhaled, watching the smoke dissolve into the sky, your thoughts spiraling. You shouldn’t have come tonight. You knew there was a chance he’d be here. A part of you had even tried to prepare for it—but how do you prepare for seeing someone who once made you feel like your entire world revolved around them?
"You never used to smoke."
Ji-yong.
Your fingers twitched around the cigarette. You turned your head slightly, just enough to see him standing there, hands in his pockets, watching you with an unreadable expression.
“Not everything stays the same, y’know.” You mutter before taking another slow drag.
His gaze flickered, his jaw tightening for a fraction of a second before he stepped forward, resting his forearms against the railing beside you. Close, but not close enough. He let out a quiet scoff, shaking his head. "Didn’t think I’d ever see the day."
You arched a brow, finally looking at him fully. "What, me smoking?"
He tilted his head, studying you the way he always used to—like he was peeling back layers, searching for something just beneath the surface. "You hated it. You used to steal my cigarettes just to throw them away."
You exhaled a humorless chuckle. "Maybe I just wanted to piss you off."
"Is that what this is, then? Still trying to piss me off?"
"Not everything is about you, Ji-yong."
He didn’t respond right away. Instead, he reached over—slow, deliberate—and plucked the cigarette from your hand. You let him. He studied it for a second, rolling it between his fingers like he was trying to understand something unspoken. Then, just as slowly, he lifted it to his lips, taking a drag. Your stomach twisted. The sight was familiar and foreign all at once.
He exhaled, watching the smoke curl into the night, before finally speaking—softer this time.
"You used to say my name differently," he said quietly, tapping the ash off his cigarette.
Your breath hitched. "Don’t do that."
"Do what?"
"Talk like—like we’re still the same people we were back then."
A humorless chuckle escaped him, low and bitter. "We’re not. That’s the problem, isn’t it?"
You didn’t answer. Because he wasn’t wrong.
He took another slow drag, his shoulders rising and falling with the inhale before he turned to fully face you. "You never answered me earlier," he murmured.
"About what?"
"If you ever missed me."
Your stomach twisted. He said it so simply, like it wasn’t the very question that had kept you up on too many nights, staring at the ceiling, wondering if he had ever done the same.
You wanted to lie. You wanted to tell him no. That you had moved on, that the years apart had erased him, that the sight of him standing in front of you now didn’t make old scars ache.
But your silence said more than words ever could.
Ji-yong’s lips pressed together as he studied your expression, as if searching for something—an answer, a confession, proof that he wasn’t the only one who had spent all this time wondering what if.
And then, barely above a whisper, he spoke.
"I missed you."
It shouldn’t have mattered—it shouldn’t have felt like a punch to the chest, like something raw and aching unraveling inside of you. But it did. You tore your gaze away, focusing on the city lights in the distance, anywhere but him.
"Don’t do that, Ji-yong." You repeated.
His brow furrowed. "Do what?"
"Say things like that," you muttered, crossing your arms tightly over your chest. "Like it changes anything."
"You think it doesn’t?"
It was your turn to huff out a bitter laugh, shaking your head. "It’s been years."
"And?" His voice had an edge now, something frustrated, something almost desperate.
"And we ruined each other," you shot back, finally meeting his gaze again.
Ji-yong flinched, just barely—but you caught it.
For a moment, neither of you spoke. The silence was deafening, stretched tight between you like a thread on the verge of snapping. The air felt heavier out here, thick with the past, with every unspoken word, every unsent message, every lingering memory that neither of you had truly let go of. It was in the way Ji-yong’s gaze flickered, searching your face for something—a sign that you still felt it too, that he wasn’t alone in this quiet ache. It was in the way your fingers curled against the railing, gripping it as if it could steady you against the pull of him. So much had been left unsaid between you, but standing here, so close yet so impossibly far, you realized something terrifying. Maybe the past had never really let go of either of you.
"You really believe that?" he asked quietly.
Your fingers curled into your palms. "I have to."
Ji-yong inhaled slowly, like he was trying to keep himself together. Then, before you could react, he took a step closer. Too close. Close enough that you could smell his cologne, something familiar, something that shouldn’t still feel like home. Close enough that the warmth of his body seeped into yours, despite the cold air.
"Then tell me to walk away.”
Your pulse jumped. "What?"
"If you really believe that—if you really think we ruined each other—" he tilted his head, voice low, challenging, "then tell me to walk away."
You opened your mouth, but the words wouldn’t come.
He searched your face, something vulnerable breaking through his mask. "See?" His voice softened, barely more than a breath. "You can’t."
"That doesn’t mean—"
"It means everything," he interrupted, his fingers twitching like he wanted to reach for you but didn’t dare. "We don’t end like this."
Your throat felt tight, emotions clawing their way up. "Ji-yong—"
He leaned in just a fraction more, voice barely above a whisper.
"Say it," he murmured. "Say you don’t miss me, and I’ll leave. Right now."
Your heart pounded. Because he was calling your bluff. Because you couldn’t say it. Because, no matter how much time had passed, no matter how much had broken between you—he was still the one person who could undo you completely.
And he knew it.
"You think this is fair?" You shot back, voice sharper than you intended. “Showing up after all this time like it means something. Like you didn’t—" You stopped yourself just in time, but it was too late. He caught it.
His jaw clenched. "Like I didn’t what?"
You swallowed, pulse hammering against your ribs. Walk away? Give up? Break me? The words were right there, but you couldn’t say them, because then he’d know. Then he’d see just how much of you was still tangled up in him.
He exhaled sharply, dragging a hand through his hair. "I’m not playing games, if that’s what you think."
"That’s funny, coming from you."
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?"
"It means this is what you do," you snapped. "You disappear. You come back when it’s convenient. You say just enough to make me wonder, just enough to make me—" You cut yourself off, breath shaking.
Ji-yong took a step closer. "Make you what?"
You clenched your jaw. "I don’t owe you an answer."
His expression flickered, something breaking through his mask for just a second before his voice dropped lower, rougher. "And who do you think lost?"
You huffed a bitter laugh, voice rising. "I don’t know, Ji-yong! You tell me! Because from where I’m standing, it sure as hell wasn’t you."
His eyes flashed. "You think I walked away easily?" His voice was sharp, almost disbelieving. "You think I just—what? Moved on? Forgot about you?" He let out a humorless laugh. "You have no fucking idea."
"Then why did you?"
"Why did I what?"
"Leave!"
Your voice cracked, but you didn’t care. The word rang out between you, cutting through the tension like a blade. Ji-yong’s breath hitched, his entire body going still.
"You think I wanted to?" He finally said, voice low, hoarse.
You scoffed. "I don’t know what you wanted!" You were almost yelling now, hands shaking. "Because if you wanted me, you should have fucking stayed!"
"You think I didn’t try?"
"You didn’t try hard enough!"
The words came out louder than you intended, your chest heaving with the weight of them. And for the first time tonight, Ji-yong flinched. The silence that followed was suffocating. His fingers twitched at his sides, like he wanted to reach for you, like he had to physically stop himself. When he spoke again, his voice was quieter but no less intense. "I still love you."
Your breath caught.
Ji-yong swallowed hard, his gaze burning into yours. "Not past tense. Not something I got over. I still fucking love you, and I think you know that."
Your fingers curled into fists, nails digging into your palms. "I—"
He took another step forward, close enough that you could feel the heat radiating off him, close enough that your body betrayed you, leaning ever so slightly in his direction. "Tell me to stop," he murmured. "Tell me to let you go, and I will."
Your chest rose and fell rapidly. You should say it. You should end this now before you drowned in him all over again. But the words wouldn’t come, and he saw it. His lips parted slightly, his hands twitching at his sides, like he was holding himself back from touching you. And then—
"I can’t do this," you whispered, stepping back.
"Why?"
"Because," you breathed, voice breaking now. "Because if I let myself believe you, if I let myself want this again—" You exhaled shakily, blinking up at him, heart on the verge of breaking all over again. "I don’t think I’d survive losing you twice."
Ji-yong’s expression crumbled. His mouth opened, but for the first time tonight, he had nothing to say. And neither did you. The silence between you wasn’t thick with anger anymore: it was replaced with heartbreak.
"That’s all you’re going to say?"
"What else do you want from me!?"
"I want you to tell me the truth," he shot back. "I want you to stop acting like you don’t feel this."
"Feel what?" Your voice was sharp, a desperate edge creeping into your tone. "Whatever this was, it ended. You made sure of that."
His jaw tensed. "You think I had a choice?"
"You always had a choice!" You snapped, stepping forward, your anger swallowing the hurt. "You could have fought for me, for us. But you didn’t. You left, and you—" Your breath hitched, but you forced yourself to keep going, keep pressing where it hurt. "You let me think I wasn’t enough for you."
Ji-yong's eyes flashed with something unreadable, something raw. "That’s not fair."
You let out a bitter laugh. "Oh, and what part of this is fair?"
He clenched his fists, exhaling sharply. "You think I wanted to leave? You think I just walked away without looking back?" His voice was rising now, matching yours, the heat between you bordering on explosive. "You have no idea how much I wanted to stay. How many nights I lay awake wishing things were different. Wishing I could be selfish enough to keep you—"
"Then why wasn’t I worth it?"
The words came out before you could stop them, loud and broken, filling the space between you like a gunshot.
Ji-yong inhaled sharply yet again, as if the weight of your words had knocked the air from his lungs. His mouth opened, then closed, his expression crumbling for a split second before he masked it again.
"Don’t," he murmured, his voice hoarse. "Don’t say that."
You let out a shaky breath, your throat burning. "Tell me I’m wrong, then. Tell me that when you left, it wasn’t because you decided I wasn’t worth the effort."
He stepped even closer, his voice low and urgent. "I never stopped loving you."
"Then why did you break my heart?"
The question shattered between you, both of you breathing hard, chests rising and falling as the weight of everything you’d buried finally cracked open.
"I don’t know," he admitted, his voice almost desperate. "I don’t fucking know. All I know is that being without you felt like hell."
Your breath stuttered, the world tilting beneath your feet, the weight of his words pressing down on you like a tidal wave. Too much. Too much. Too much. It clawed at your chest, curling tight around your ribs, making it impossible to breathe, impossible to think. This was dangerous. He was dangerous. The way he looked at you, like you were the only thing in the room that mattered. The way his voice softened when he said your name, like he was afraid you’d slip through his fingers all over again. The way your body still knew him, still ached for him, even after all this time.
And it terrified you.
Because if you stayed, if you let him keep talking, keep looking at you like that, keep picking apart the walls you spent so long building—you knew you’d crumble. You’d let him in again. You’d let yourself hope. And hope was the most dangerous thing of all.
Your hands curled into fists at your sides, nails biting into your palms, grounding yourself in the sharp sting of it. You had to get out of here. Now. Before your heart could trick you into believing this could end any differently than it did before. Before you drowned in him all over again.
You took a shaky step back. Ji-yong’s eyes tracked the movement instantly, his entire body tensing like he knew exactly what you were about to do.
"Don’t," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper, but it might as well have been a plea.
Your throat burned. Don’t what? Run? Leave? Break his heart the way he broke yours?
"I can’t do this," you breathed, shaking your head as you took another step back. Then another.
Ji-yong moved instinctively, reaching for you, his fingers just barely brushing your wrist before you yanked away.
"Wait—"
But you were already turning, pushing past him, your breath coming in uneven gasps as you shoved open the balcony door and disappeared into the dimly lit hallway. You didn’t stop. Didn’t let yourself look back, didn’t let yourself hear the way his breath hitched when you slipped through his fingers.
You wove through the crowd in the main room, your pulse pounding in your ears, drowning out the low hum of conversation and the clinking of glasses. The air inside was suffocating, thick with perfume and cigarette smoke and everything you needed to escape. You barely registered the curious glances thrown your way as you reached the entrance, shoving the door open and stepping into the cool night air. Only then did you finally exhale, your breath shaky as it left your lips in a sharp rush.
But it wasn’t enough.
The city lights blurred as you stumbled forward, needing distance, needing space, needing to outrun the ghosts of his words—I never stopped loving you.
You squeezed your eyes shut, willing yourself to breathe, to push him out of your head, out of your heart, out of your bones.
But even as you walked away, every step putting more distance between you and the only man you’d ever truly loved—you knew it wasn’t over.
Not yet.
You pushed yourself harder, each step taking you farther away from the noise of the venue, from him. The streets blurred around you as you walked, each step fueled by the need to get away, the need to breathe air that wasn’t saturated with him. You didn’t want to be there anymore.
Eventually, you found a quiet alley, tucked away between two tall buildings, far enough from the crowd to feel safe, but not too far that you’d lose yourself completely. You sank down to the cold concrete, pulling your knees to your chest, desperately trying to calm the erratic beating of your heart. You tried to force your breathing into something steady, something normal. You were fine. You had to be fine.
You were fine.
But then the panic started to creep in. That tightening feeling in your chest, the same feeling that had gripped you all those months ago. The fear, the helplessness, the suffocating weight of the past, of the break-up, of everything you hadn’t been able to say or let go of. The walls you’d built around yourself trembled. You weren’t fine.
The panic slammed into you full-force, and for a second, it felt like you were falling apart all over again.
This was dangerous.
Just like before. Just like the night he left.
You gasped for air, but it wasn’t enough. Your chest constricted, your vision blurred, and you swore you could hear your pulse pounding in your ears. You weren’t going to make it. You weren’t going to survive this. You needed to breathe, you needed to stop thinking about how close you were to that awful, broken place you’d sworn you’d never return to.
And then, you heard it—footsteps.
No.
You jerked your head up, eyes wide with panic, just in time to see him standing there—Ji-yong, standing in the dim light of the alley, his gaze locked onto you like he’d been tracking your every movement.
You tried to push yourself up, to move, to run. But your legs were weak, too weak, your knees buckling as your breath came in jagged gasps. You couldn’t escape this, couldn’t escape him.
“Stop.”
His voice was firm, but not harsh. His hand reached out, fingers brushing against your wrist before grabbing your arm. Not painfully, but just enough to hold you still, enough to make you realize you couldn’t keep going.
You froze. The panic still gripped you, tightening your chest with every labored breath, but when his touch grounded you, something about the way he held you still made it worse. You hadn’t expected him to follow you. And now, here he was, like he’d found you in your most vulnerable moment.
He didn’t say anything else at first, just stood there, his grip on your arm gentle but firm, as if he was waiting for you to speak, to explain why you were falling apart, why you couldn’t keep it together. And then he spoke again, softer this time, with that quiet urgency that made your insides twist.
“You don’t have to pretend, you know.”
The words hit you like a wave.
You didn’t have to pretend. And that was all it took.
The tears you’d been holding back came crashing forward, hot and fast, spilling down your cheeks as your body started to shake. You tried to stand, tried to push through it, but the moment your legs gave out, Ji-yong’s arm shot around you, pulling you into his chest, catching you before you could hit the ground.
“Hey, hey,” he whispered, his voice full of surprise, full of something else you couldn’t quite name. His arms tightened around you as you gasped for air, your whole body shaking from the intensity of it. “It’s okay. I’ve got you.”
You shook your head against his chest, unable to stop the tears, unable to stop the sobs that tore their way out of you. You hadn’t expected this—hadn’t expected him to be here, hadn’t expected to break down in his arms again. But somehow, despite everything, despite how much you tried to push him away, you felt something in you soften, a part of you finally willing to let go.
He didn’t say anything more. He just held you, letting you cry against him, his grip never tightening, never too forceful, just enough to remind you that he was there.
Ji-yong's chest tightened as he held you close, his heart breaking into pieces with each sob that wracked your body. The way you trembled in his arms, the rawness of your pain—it was all too much. His mind replayed every moment, every misstep, every word he’d said or hadn’t said, and it all came crashing down on him. He had been the one to walk away. He had been the one to push you out of his life, to let pride and fear dictate his actions. And now, seeing you broken in his arms, it felt like he had destroyed something precious. The guilt gnawed at him, sharp and unforgiving. He was the reason you were hurting, the reason you’d built walls around your heart. His choices, his mistakes—he had caused this. The weight of it threatened to crush him, and he couldn't shake the feeling that he had failed you, that he had broken something that could never be fixed.
"I—" You choked on the air, the pain in your chest too much. Your heart ached, and you thought you might break again. But you couldn’t keep pretending. You couldn’t lie to yourself anymore. "I still love you, Ji-yong… I—I never stopped. But I’m so… so scared."
He didn’t say anything, didn’t even try to pull away or give you a soft smile to ease your discomfort. Instead, his arms tightened around you, pulling you closer, as though he wanted to absorb your pain, to make it his own.
“I can’t open up and have you leave all over again.”
His voice cracked as he whispered, “I’m so sorry… for everything. I—God, I was stupid. I didn’t realize how much I was hurting you, how much I was pushing you away. I thought I could handle it, thought I could fix everything, but I only made it worse.” He swallowed hard, his throat tight with emotion. “I’m sorry for leaving you when you needed me most, sorry for all the things I didn’t say, all the things I didn’t do. I’m sorry for every mistake, every time I made you feel less than—less than everything you deserve.”
His hands, which had once been so sure, trembled as they cupped your face, lifting your gaze to meet his. He could barely hold himself together, his own tears falling freely now. “Please… I’m begging you. Give me another chance. I—I swear I won’t mess it up this time. I can’t lose you again. I love you. I never stopped. Please, just—please don’t give up on us.”
The raw desperation in his voice, the way he looked at you as if you were the only thing that mattered in the world, made your heart ache all over again. He wasn’t just apologizing; he was pleading, his voice breaking with the weight of everything he had failed to say before. And even though every part of you screamed in hesitation, you couldn’t help but feel the tiny spark of hope that maybe—just maybe—this could be the moment everything shifted.
“I’ll never give up on us,” he continued, his voice steady now, full of resolve. “I swear.”
A shaky laugh escaped you, despite the tears that still clung to your lashes. “I’m going to hold you to that.”
And with that, Ji-yong’s lips brushed against yours, soft and tentative at first, as if testing the waters, before deepening into a kiss that spoke of all the things you’d both been too afraid to say. It was gentle, full of longing and the sweet promise of healing. The kiss was the beginning of something new, a new chapter where the mistakes of the past could be forgiven and the love between you could bloom once more.
When he pulled away, his thumb gently stroked your cheek, and he smiled—a smile that was as soft and loving as the words he had just spoken. “I love you. I love you so much.”
“I know,” you whispered back. “I love you, too.”

some peace of mind

summary: life on tour brings tears
You don’t tell him.
Not at first. Not when he finally calls between rehearsals, his voice soft but rushed. “How was the appointment, jagi?”
Or when he texts a few hours later, “Send me a pic of the ultrasound, I wanna see our little bean.”
You don’t tell him, because it was ruined for you. The nurse had smiled too wide, voice too casual when she let the gender of your baby slip. The translation took a moment to register in your head but it was there. Despite you and Jiyong agreeing to keep it a surprise, you knew. And he didn't. Because he wasn't there.
You had lay there, hands folded over your rounded belly, blinking at the wall as the moment you’d imagined - the moment you were supposed to share with him - slipped through your fingers like sand.
And now, it’s too late to get it back.
So you lie. Or, at least, you let him believe the truth is still waiting for him.
“Everything was fine.” “The baby’s healthy.” “I miss you.”
Because you do. More than ever.
𓆩♡𓆪 𓆩♡𓆪 𓆩♡𓆪
It happens over something stupid.
You’re both tired. You’re both stretched thin. He walks in late, again, smelling like sweat - his hair slightly damp and stuck to the back of his neck. He barely glanced at you before collapsing onto the hotel room couch.
And you’re being unfair, you know that. You knew the schedule before you packed your bags and got on the plane. You knew this wouldn’t be easy.
But then he sighs, absentmindedly rubbing his temples, and it’s enough to make something inside you snap.
"I don’t know why I even bothered coming on tour."
Jiyong looks up instantly, his brows pulling together. “What?”
"It’s not like we’ve spent more than five minutes together since we got here."
He blinks at you, confused and exhausted. “Baby, I told you -”
"Yeah, you told me. I know you’re busy, Jiyong. I know you’re tired. But so am I.” You gesture down at yourself, frustrated. You were six months along in the pregnancy now. “I didn’t think I’d feel this… alone.”
His expression shifts - guilt flickering beneath the frustration. “I didn’t ask you to come just to leave you alone, okay? I wanted you here.”
"Then be here!" The words come out too sharp, too raw. And before you can stop yourself, you add -
"God, Ji, you weren’t even there when they accidentally told me -"
You freeze.
Jiyong’s whole body stills. The air in the room goes thick.
"What?"
You open your mouth, but nothing comes out. Because now he knows.
And the look on his face - the realization that he missed it, that you’ve been carrying this alone for days - makes your chest ache.
"You know?" His voice is small. Careful.
You swallow hard, tearing your gaze away.
"Yeah."
Jiyong just stares at you. His hands curl into fists like he doesn’t know what to do with them. Like he wants to be angry but doesn’t know where to place it.
Finally, he exhales - shaky and quiet. And it feels like the fight drains out of both of you at the same time.
Neither of you say another word.
𓆩♡𓆪 𓆩♡𓆪 𓆩♡𓆪
Later, when you’re curled up under the sheets, facing the wall, the mattress shifts behind you.
A familiar weight. A familiar warmth.
He slides in carefully, hesitantly, like he’s not sure if he’s allowed. Like he’s waiting for you to push him away.
But you don’t.
Instead, you feel him exhale against the back of your neck. And then - tentatively, reverently - his hand finds your round belly.
"Tell me." His voice is barely a whisper.
You close your eyes. Take a breath.
“It’s a girl.”
Jiyong sucks in a breath. You feel him press his forehead against your shoulder, his fingers tightening over your stomach.
“A girl.” His voice is shaky. “We’re having a daughter.”
And for the first time in days, your chest doesn’t feel so heavy.
"Yeah."
He stays quiet for a long time. Then, softly -
"I wanted to be there."
"I know."
"I hate that I wasn’t."
You swallow past the lump in your throat. “I know that too.”
It’s not a solution. But it’s enough.
For now.
𓆩♡𓆪 𓆩♡𓆪 𓆩♡𓆪
The next morning, you wake up to the sound of soft rustling.
Jiyong is sitting at the edge of the bed, his back to you, fiddling with something in his hands. His hoodie is loose, his hair still messy from sleep, but there’s a quiet focus in the way he moves.
"What are you doing?" you mumble sleepily.
He turns, startled. His lips twitch like he’s about to say something, but then he just sighs and holds out a small, red box. The logo on the front is one you recognise instantly. Cartier.
"Jiyong…"
"I should’ve been there when you found out." His voice is low, steady. "I should’ve been there for you. I'm sorry that I wasn’t."
He gently places the box into your hands.
You hesitate, still drowsy, before slowly flipping the box open.
Inside, resting on soft velvet -
A tiny gold bracelet. Delicate, beautiful. Too small to be for you.
Your chest tightens.
"It’s hers." His voice softens. "For when she’s here." Then, after a pause - "I got one for you too."
You blink up at him. And that’s when he reaches into his pocket.
Pulls out a second, matching bracelet. He already had stacks of the branded bracelets on his own wrist, as did you, it was your thing. But now it was something that belonged to the three of you.
Your family.
That’s it. That’s what breaks you.
The weeks of frustration, of loneliness, of feeling like you were going through this alone. The weight of it crashes into you all at once.
You don’t even try to stop the tears.
Jiyong notices instantly. His eyes widen, his hands reaching for you. "Jagiya, don’t cry - "
But you’re already gripping the front of his hoodie, pulling him into you. He stumbles slightly, then melts, wrapping his arms tightly around you.
"You’re such an idiot," you sniffle into his shoulder.
"I know." His lips press to the side of your head. "But I love you. And I love her already."
Your fingers tighten in his hoodie. "We love you too."
And as his arms hold you tighter, steadier, like a silent promise -
You finally, finally feel like you aren’t doing this alone.
𓆩♡𓆪 𓆩♡𓆪 𓆩♡𓆪
this has been sitting in my drafts toooo long
belongs to the world of everything i wanted <3

Back in the Spotlight?
context ; you had to cover a song for the 2024 mbc music festival.
"you agreed to WHAT ?!" you said both shocked and anxious at your staff.
"You can’t back out now." one of your staff members insisted, their tone firm.
“We already made the decision, you’re performing, and that’s final." another added, arms crossed as if to shut down any argument before it could begin.
You swallowed hard, anxiety creeping in. It had been a long time since you last performed as an idol, and the thought of stepping back onto that stage made your chest tighten.
With a deep breath, you exhaled sharply through your nose. “Fine. At least tell me what song I’m covering.”
“Move, by Taemin.”
You froze.
“…You’re joking” you said flatly, searching their faces for any sign that this was some kind of prank. But the silence that followed only confirmed the worst.
Letting out a slow sigh, you ran a hand through your hair, trying to process it. Like it or not… this was happening.
"Move, huh?” ji yong leaned against the frame, arms folded with a knowing smirk. “Not a bad choice.”
Your head snapped toward him. “You knew?”
He shrugged, pushing off the doorway and walking over to you. “I may have been the one who suggested it.”
Your jaw dropped. “You-...” Words failed you for a moment as you pointed at him in betrayal. “Why would you do that?”
ji yong chuckled, completely unfazed. “Because I know you can pull it off.” His voice was calm, steady, like he had no doubt in his mind. “And honestly? I think it’s about time you reminded everyone just how good you are.”
You wanted to argue. You wanted to protest. But the way he looked at you like made it hard to fight back.
Letting out another sigh, you muttered, “You’re lucky I like you.”
ji yong grinned. “I know.”
You spent weeks preparing and practicing for this performance, pouring every ounce of energy into perfecting each move. Move wasn’t just any song, it was Taemin’s. And of course, that meant it was hard.
The fluidity, the control, the precision,it demanded everything from you. Every practice session left you exhausted, muscles aching, mind racing with thoughts of whether you could really pull this off.
But backing out wasn’t an option. Not after how much time and effort had already been put into this.
ji yong attended your practices from time to time, offering quiet observations and the occasional smirk when he caught you messing up.
At first, it was just him watching from the side, arms crossed as he leaned against the wall. But eventually, he started stepping in. Adjusting your posture. Helping you refine the details.
“You’re overthinking.” he murmured one evening, placing a hand on your shoulder to steady you. “Just feel the music.”
Easy for him to say.
Still, having him around his guidance, his reassurance made it easier. Like some of the weight on your shoulders had been lifted, even if just a little.
And then, just when you thought his involvement couldn’t get any deeper, he decided to help with your stage outfit.
“This isn’t just about the performance.” he said, casually flipping through a rack of clothes. “It’s about the presence. how you own the stage before you even start moving.”
You gave him a flat look. “Since when were you my stylist?”
He grinned, “Since you agreed to perform.”
You sighed, but a small smile tugged at your lips. Your boyfriend was into this more than you were.
It was cute, the way he carefully picked through the outfits, tilting his head in thought as if he was styling himself.
“You know...” you teased, crossing your arms, “I feel like you’re having more fun with this than I am.”
ji yong didn’t even hesitate. “Of course I am! If you’re gonna be on stage, you might as well look good doing it.”
You shook your head, but you couldn’t fight the warmth spreading in your chest. Maybe you were still nervous, but with him so invested in every little detail, it was starting to feel less like pressure and more like excitement.
The day of the performance had arrived. You sat at your vanity desk, staring blankly at your reflection, hands resting on your lap. The nerves settled deep in your stomach, making it hard to focus on anything.
You barely noticed when ji yong walked in, but you felt the warmth of his presence as he stood behind your chair. Then, his hands found your shoulders, grounding you.
“It’s going to be okay..” he murmured, his voice steady and reassuring. “You’ll do just fine.”
Before you could respond, he leaned down, his face close to yours, and pressed a soft kiss to your cheek. When you turned to look at him, he was smiling, calm, confident, like he had no doubt in you at all.
And somehow, just that small gesture made it a little easier to breathe.
You let out a slow breath before standing up, turning towards him, your arms naturally found their way around him. You stayed like that for a moment, letting the warmth of his embrace calm the nerves buzzing under your skin.
Neither of you spoke. You just rested against him, feeling the way his hands gently rubbed your back in silent reassurance.
Then, a knock on the door.
“It’s time.”
You exhaled, pulling away just enough to meet ji yong’s gaze. Without a word, he leaned in and pressed his lips to yours, a soft, lingering kiss that felt like everything you needed in that moment.
When he pulled away, his eyes were full of quiet confidence. With a final squeeze of his hand, you turned and walked out. It was time to take the stage.
ji yong stood backstage with your staff, his eyes fixed on you as you performed. He watched intently, a quiet smile tugging at his lips, his hands occasionally giving out small, appreciative claps.
The staff members around him exchanged glances, some quietly giggling at how adorably invested he was.
“Look at him.” one whispered, nudging another. “He’s like a proud boyfriend, isn’t he?”
“He really is!” another murmured, grinning at how ji yong seemed to be fully caught up in your performance.
Were you even nervous? The way you commanded the stage, your every movement exuding confidence, left no room for doubt. Your presence was unmatched and effortless. It was as if you’d never left the spotlight at all.
As the performance continued, he couldn’t help but feel a surge of pride. He’d known you had it in you, but watching it unfold before him was something else. he was just lucky enough to be there to witness it.
Once you were done, the transformation was subtle, but ji yong noticed it immediately. You shifted from the fierce, captivating presence you had commanded on stage to your usual, shy self as your staff hurried to fix your hair and makeup for picture time.
He couldn’t take his eyes off of you. Even as they worked, adjusting your hair and touching up your makeup, ji yong’s gaze never wavered. He was mesmerized by the way you effortlessly slipped between the two sides of yourself.
Despite the quiet change, there was no denying that you still held him, and everyone else, captivated. Even in moments like these, you were unforgettable.
ji yong stayed back, not wanting to disturb you or your team as they took pictures. He admired you from afar, content to let you shine in that moment. but the staff members nudged him.
“Come on, take a picture with her.” they urged with a grin.
How could he refuse? You looked absolutely stunning today, and he wasn’t about to miss a chance to capture this moment with you.
With a soft chuckle, ji yong slipped into position beside you. His arm naturally found its way around your waist, pulling you closer as you leaned your head against his shoulder. You positioned your hands into a heart shape, your smile bright and warm, radiating everything he loved about you.
Once the staff finished taking pictures, ji yong didn’t let go. Instead, he wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you closer as he leaned his head against your neck from behind. The weight of his embrace felt comforting, like a safe haven after the chaos of the performance.
“You did better than expected.” he mumbled, his voice warm and filled with admiration.
You stared down at the ground, a soft smile playing on your lips, but you didn’t respond. His words were more than enough, he didn’t need a reply.
Before finally letting you go, ji yong pressed a gentle peck to the side of your neck, lingering there for a moment. “I’m coming with you, I don’t feel like saying goodnight just yet.”
You didn’t argue. You were perfectly fine with the thought of spending the rest of the day by his side.
Later, you found yourself snuggling on the couch with ji yong, the soft hum of the TV in the background as you scrolled through your phone. The adrenaline from the performance was finally starting to fade, but the excitement lingered, especially when you noticed the pictures from your performance flooding the media.
Every swipe seemed to bring another shot of you on stage, your fierce energy captured perfectly in every frame.
ji yong noticed the photos on your screen and let out a chuckle, his arms tightening around you a little more as he leaned closer to see.
“Guess the whole world saw you kill it today !” he said, his tone with a hint of pride.
You smiled, not knowing whether to feel embarrassed or flattered by the attention.
“Guess I did..” you said, your eyes still glued to your phone as you scrolled.

coffee and nail polish | kwon jiyong
a/n — i wanted something fluff with jiyong, less angst for you guys, I hope you like it! feel free to correct grammar mistakes kindly!
summary: you and jiyong haven't seen each other in weeks, you two relax
pairing: jiyong x gn!reader
warnings: discreet mention of body shape, orange hair jiyong (i love it) , idol!(?)reader, mentioned bigbang, reader is kind of self-critical, slight comfort, fluff, slight crack
lowercase letters, word count: 1,4k
"jiyong, if you keep moving, i'm going to hit you." you say, biting your tongue in concentration, holding the tip of jiyong's finger with the tips of your own, while your other hand grips one of the brushes from the eight nail polishes you'd be using to paint his nails. he's sitting in a small armchair, and you're on the floor.
how did you two end up in this situation?
it had been about three and a half weeks since you last saw each other in person. bigbang had just made their latest comeback, and the promotions for it were much more intense compared to before—not that it was a bad thing, just overwhelmingly exhausting. the m/v had absolutely blown up, and you would consider it your favorite song of theirs if it weren’t for (your bigbang fav/ song), but that’s not important right now.
it wasn't just him who had been busy. you were tirelessly working toward your own debut, spending countless hours perfecting your dance, vocals, rap, and all the other things idols do as trainees. god, if only you had known how long m/v recordings took, you might have thought twice before becoming an idol. but seeing the final result made the exhaustion disappear almost instantly.
the fact that you both missed each other was undeniable.
you’ve known jiyong for a little over five years now. the difference between before and now is obvious—not just in his appearance, but in his personality as well. you remember that 2010 boy whose style was completely different, whose voice and personality had made a full 360-degree turn. his opinions changed, and he seems much more relaxed, much freer than when you first met him. especially now that he's focused on his new project, 'peaceminusone'—if you’re remembering it correctly.
you support him in everything he does, just as he supported you through your difficult trainee days—because he went through it too.
out of all the hair colors he’s had, this orange one is by far your favorite. you think about making a cute leaf-shaped hair clip for him so he can look like an actual tangerine.you chuckle at the thought.
"hey, what's so funny?" jiyong asks, looking at you.
"nothing, just thought of something funny," you reply. he gives you a slow once-over, his gaze filled with silent judgment.
"you're weird.", you pinch the top of his hand, nearly smudging the polish.
"i'm weird, but you're my friend, so you'll have to put up with me for a while longer. i'm not giving up that easily." you say confidently, met with silence. jiyong doesn’t deny it, just lets out a sarcastic scoff.
"i'll think twice before talking to weird trainees—" you pinch him again for moving, and he falls silent.
the atmosphere between you two is relaxed and calm. talking makes it even better, but the silence is just as comforting. neither of you feels the need to fill the space with constant conversation—it's just cozy.
"are you nervous? you know, about debuting?"
hearing his voice, you glance up at him before returning to painting his nails.
"a little… but i'm working on it." you exhale lightly, and jiyong watches you in silence.
"i want to give my best in this. i feel like there are expectations i need to surpass—i need to surpass myself, in general. i feel like i have to improve, i know i have to improve. not just for me, but for the group."
without realizing it, you release his hand.
even before meeting jiyong, you had always been an incredibly dedicated trainee (and you still are). you'd wake up before the practice room even opened, stretching in the hallway until they let you in. you followed a balanced diet—not starving yourself, just keeping yourself healthy. you always helped other trainees with their struggles, answering questions and giving advice based on what you had learned. you always had new tips to share because of your nightly study sessions, though you never stayed up too late. always punctual.
how did you meet him?
well... that’s a bit embarrassing.
on one of those late-night study sessions, you knew you shouldn’t have stayed up so long, but you felt like you were on an unstoppable roll, so you pushed through. but not before grabbing a coffee.
you silently left the dorm, careful not to wake anyone, and opened the door, planning to head to the vending machine at the end of the hallway near the practice room. one coffee wouldn’t hurt, right? …ah, such naivety.
it was dark everywhere except for a dim light coming from inside the practice room. you managed to navigate the hallway thanks to that weak glow slipping through the slightly ajar door.
since the door was old, it usually got stuck. you leaned against the wall and carefully made your way to it, leaning your body on it to continue on your way, but what you didn’t count on was the door deciding to function normally that night.
and on top of that, you tripped on a loose tile, throwing all your weight onto the door, and—
now—
you hit the floor with a loud thud, like a sack of potatoes.
you didn’t even think. your whole body ached, but you didn’t make a sound. your forehead hit the wooden floor, leaving you a bit dizzy but still conscious. and then you made a split-second decision: you'd just… pretend to be unconscious.
no one would bother you, you wouldn’t have to see who witnessed your humiliating fall, and that would spare you from any embarrassment. the position was even kind of comfortable, so it wouldn't be hard to keep up the act, and—
"i saw your foot move."
internally, you died. of shame, obviously.
oh. my. god.
you felt like the stupidest person alive.who, in their right mind, falls and then just stays on the floor pretending to pass out? you wanted to disappear, to die, to evaporate into thin air and be carried away by a nearby fan.
enough thinking.
"ahh…" you groaned, slowly getting on your knees, staring at the floor. "i think i blacked out for a second, hahaha."
you let out an awkward, robotic laugh, placing a hand on your forehead before looking up—and seeing him.
your eyes widened, not just because g-dragon, bigbang's leader, was standing in front of you, but because you were wearing the worst pair of pajamas in your closet.
why did you even come down in pajamas? you had no idea. but that was all your brain could focus on. your hand slid from your forehead to cover your eyes instead.
the universe hated you, you concluded.
the man just stared at you, confused, while his practice music still played softly in the background.
you shook your head, snapping out of your old memories.
you looked down at jiyong’s hand, but before you could grab his finger again, you felt a hand gently stroking your hair.
"i don’t think you should worry," his voice was calm.
your eyes lifted to meet his in silence.
"i don’t think there’s anyone i know who deserves to debut more than you. you’ve always worked hard, and you deserve this more than anyone. so don’t doubt yourself."
you just stared at him for a moment before letting out a soft, amused scoff.
"i guess so…"
and then, silence settled again. but jiyong's hand remained in your hair.
his chest ached hearing you speak about yourself like that. he didn’t fully understand the feeling, but he knew none of your efforts had been in vain. only he truly knew how much you pushed yourself.
just as you knew everything about him, he knew everything about you.
your bond had always been close—full of unconditional support and deep connection. hugs were common, physical touch between you two was natural. he loved hugging you and being hugged by you, just as you loved his hugs and giving him yours. you were always helping each other, always doing little favors, sharing an incomprehensible partnership filled with warmth and affection.
"jiyong, if your nail polish smudges because you're messing with my hair, i will kill you."
he said nothing, just rolled his eyes—but didn’t move his hand.and he smiled.
he had never been more grateful for an unbought coffee that night.
a/n – thanks for reading! I hope you liked it, I think all the ideas I have come from beyond... this time I wrote it listening to 'interlude : shadow' by yoongi, I love this song so much... feel free to correct me of any grammatical mistakes!

and why on Earth you did that??? I didn't want to be sad today
We Were Never Meant To Be | Kwon Ji-yong (G-Dragon)
Summary: You and Jiyong have grown apart and there's nothing that either of you can do or say to fix it.
Warnings: Angst, but that's it.
Author's Note: I'm not even going to lie, this made me sad to write. I'm sorry in advance.
It had been happening slowly over the last few months. You’d both felt each other slipping away from each other. At first you’d clung to each other desperate for it to go away. You weren’t ready for it to be over but it was happening. There was nobody to blame for it, you’d grown apart naturally over time. Despite your best efforts, you couldn’t force yourself to stay in love. Neither could he.
“I’ve just got one more box and then I’ll be gone.” Jiyong wasn’t supposed to be home today, but as was life, his plans had changed and he’d been helping you load up your car all morning. Somehow having him here had made it more real.
Not that it hadn’t been real while you’d moved through the house collecting your years of clutter and clothing earlier that week. You’d tried your best to keep it together as you packed everything neatly away. Jiyong had given you space while you grieved the loss of this relationship, as you said bye to his cats that had become partly yours over the years. Your heart was shattering and you could tell by looking at him that his was too.
His jaw tensed, swallowing all the words he wanted to say as he watched you head over to the last box. He didn’t want you to go, but he knew he hadn’t done enough to keep you here and if he wasn’t his best self for you there was no point in fighting it anymore. Instead of begging you to stay he just nodded his head, his hands finding their way to his pockets so you wouldn’t see them balling into fists.
Nothing worth keeping ever stayed with Jiyong. Not his friends, not you. Sure, he had his career but it didn’t mean anything without you. What was he supposed to do now without you? What had he done to convince you his world didn’t revolve around you? Why couldn’t he fix it? Why wouldn’t you stay with him? He knew he wasn’t supposed to be here today but the truth was he couldn’t focus on anything but you and maybe if he saw it through he’d be able to let you go.
He watched as you took the last box out of his house and the realization hit that you were really leaving him. He sat down on the couch, burying his head in his hands. He knew he should pull himself together, it wasn’t fair to you to see him this way. You didn’t want him anymore and he’d respect it, but he was human too.
“Ji?” He sat up at the sound of your voice and watched as you made your way over to him. “Are you ok?”
“No.” You moved to sit down next to him, tilting his head towards you. There was so much pain written all over his face and you looked down, letting go of him. You knew this wasn’t easy for him, it wasn’t easy for you, either. But you couldn’t stay, you weren’t even sure when it had broken or why you couldn’t fix it. You just knew it was too far gone now to keep trying.
You’d both been hurting for months, refusing to admit that you were putting too much pressure on each other to be better. You had always agreed that you would do right by each other and when the fighting started and never eased you both had agreed that it had run its course.
“I’m sorry.” He shook his head refusing to let you continue and glanced up at you.
“I’m the one that’s sorry. Is there really nothing I can do to fix this?” His eyes pleaded with you. You shook your head and stood up. You couldn’t have this conversation, not again.
“I wish there was something, but there’s not one singular thing and I know you know that. I’m always going to love you, Jiyong, but this isn’t working anymore.”
“I know. I’m always going to love you too.” his voice was small as he spoke and you let out a sigh as he stood up. “I’ll walk you out.” You nodded and followed him to the door.
You paused and turned back around, looking at the place you’d called home for several years now, a singular tear rolled down your cheek and you wiped it away quickly before saying a silent goodbye to your home. You knew leaving Jiyong was going to be hard, you just hadn’t been expecting it to be this hard. For so long he’d been the only person you could’ve ever imagined your life with. Maybe you still did. Maybe in some alternate universe the two of you were sitting down for dinner, laughing at some dumb thing that happened that day and your relationship was thriving.
You desperately wanted to live in that timeline suddenly envious of a fake version of you who was finding a way to make your relationship work. Jiyong cleared his throat behind you and you closed your eyes for a second, composing yourself before you followed him out of the house. You both stood awkwardly at your car for what seemed like hours. In reality, it had only been a few seconds. He blinked before stepping closer to wrap his arms around you.
You allowed yourself to get lost in his arms, sinking into him as his arms tightened around you. If he had it his way he wouldn’t let you go, he’d just guide you back in the house and show you how much he loved you. But that wasn’t what you wanted and as his grip loosened on you, you opened your eyes and offered him a tight smile.
“Take care of yourself, Jiyong. Don’t get so lost in your work. The fans are important, but you’re more important.” He nodded as you turned towards your car.
“You were the most important.” It came out as a whisper and you pretended you didn’t hear him as you slid into your car. He closed the door behind you and you offered him a small wave as he turned away to walk inside the house.
Maybe you could give him one final thing on your way out. You rolled down your window and stuck your head out. “Ji?” You called and he turned around. “Feel free to write about this.” You teased and he rolled his eyes, a smile appearing on his face as he nodded. It felt good to see him smile one last time before you started up your car and drove away.
You may not have been able to make it work, but maybe now you’d be able to be his muse. Maybe that would just have to be enough for the both of you.

Heartbreaker
Choi Seunghyun x F! Reader
Warnings: Just a few curse words. Angst, but it ends happy.
A/N: I really hope you enjoy this, bc it was a blast to write. Please leave a like or a comment if you want to see more🩷
Request are currently: OPEN
You stared into his dark, solemn eyes. The time had finally come where the two of you were at a place of no return. This was the end, he was walking on you, on your relationship and your future together.
“Please,” you whisper as he cups your face.
“Don’t- don’t do this,” you could feel the tears welling up in your eyes.”
“It’s for the best,” he croaks with a low voice, “It’s for your best interest,”
“No, Seung, it’s not,” you shout defiantly.
“You don’t get to decide that!” your tears are now spilling onto your cheeks and you don’t dare wipe them away. He kisses your forehead for the last time.
“Baby I know you don’t see it now,”
“You’re damn right I don’t,” you grab on to his wrist as if holding it will anchor him to you. You feel a literal ache in your chest. He crashes his lips to yours, the kiss slow and deep, like he’s savoring the way you taste. You feel something wet on your face and realize he’s now the one crying.
The two of you hadn’t been unhappy, actually it was quite the opposite. You thought things were going great, even swore tonight would be the night he proposed to you, but instead he chose to break your heart. For the life of you, you couldn’t understand why he was doing this. Why he was throwing your relationship away.
He pulls away from you and you grab on to his collar as he rests his forehead against yours.
“I have to go,” he whispers after a minute. All you can do is sigh.
“You won’t even tell me why,” your voice cracks but you don’t care. It’s not a question, more like a statement. Does he think so little of you?
“I need you to trust me,” he says as he slowly tears himself away from you. You can’t help but scoff as you look at him like a stranger.
“Don’t give me that look,” he mutters as he glances at the floor.
“Why shouldn’t I? This isn’t you, or at least, not the you that I know. This isn’t the man I fell in love with. He wouldn’t leave knowing how bad this hurts me,” you break down again clutching your own body for comfort as you drop your head. You hear footsteps and think he’s going to hold you, but instead he stops right beside you.
“I love you, y/n, but this is what’s best,” he says solemnly. You don’t look at him, rather you keep your eyes shut and hold onto yourself. You hear the door shut behind him and you let out a gut-wrenching scream as you fall to the floor.
Right outside the door he hears it. He wants nothing more than to rush in and pick you up and tell you he’s sorry. He wants to love you the way he knows you need it, the way he knows he can, but he’s convinced himself he isn’t enough for you anymore. He’s convinced himself that, wrapped up in scandal, you’d be better off without him.
Afterall two idols being together in this business is tricky enough. The tabloids and some crazy fans. You being an international popstar dating a Korean idol, only added more fuel to the flame. While most of the media was happy for you, obviously some fans on both sides weren’t. Most would say he was bad for you, because of the things he’d done in his past. Redemption obviously not being an option for him in their eyes. They didn’t seem to think he could change.
He peeled himself away from the door and left you there, getting into his car his own emotions finally taking over. He cried, screamed, and his heart ached much like yours did. For a brief moment he considered that something that felt so wrong couldn’t be right, but others had an unbiased view, right? They could see thing he couldn’t, right?
For the next few days, you stayed home, barely leaving the bedroom you would often share with him. While you hadn’t officially moved in together, but there were very few nights you ever spent alone. Sleeping was one of the hardest parts, you had gotten so used to him being there, feeling the warmth of his body next to yours, feeling his sweet gentle kisses to wake you up in the morning. Now it was gone, cold, and unfamiliar. The room wasn’t as bright as it used it.
Your friends called, texted, even tried coming over, but nothing worked. After about a week your manger finally told you that if you didn’t get your butt in the studio your career would suffer that, “You shouldn’t let some boy tank your career.” She wasn’t very understanding to say the least.
You trudged up to the studio in Seoul, sighing as you stepped into the booth.
“Hand in hand we go
Loving life, seeing the view of the golden streets,” you tried to sing the lyrics as best you could but it ultimately made you sick.
“I can’t do this,” you say before taking off the headphones. If you were going to record, it had to be something heart wrenching. You had to vent your feelings. You grab a pen and paper once you come out and sit down on the couch. Your best friend comes up beside you.
“What’s going on, doll face?” she was always cheeky with her little nicknames.
“I gotta write something else, I can’t do that” you say motioning to the table with the recording equipment, “today.” She gives you an understanding look.
“Let’s write a breakup song, then.” She gives you a supportive smile. After a couple hours of writing, erasing and rewriting lyrics, you finally had a rough draft of the song.
“You say it’s best if you leave
But here I am with my heart on my sleeve
Beggin you not go
Say you’ll stay
Even if it’s just until I’m asleep.” You see a grin from your best friend, who’s producing the song, and she shoots you a thumbs up.
“Y/n, it’ll be a hit!” she beams and you give her a sad smile. She puts a hand on your shoulder.
“Honey, I know it’s hard. I’m so sorry.” She gives you a quick hug before you tell her goodbye. Leaving the studio you barely look up and see the members of Big Bang walking in the door. Ji-yong, Taeyang, Daesung, and they each look at you with sad eyes before you see him walk in. Your breath hitches in your throat and you both make eye contact. You don’t smile, neither does he. You stand there frozen for a minute. From a distance his eyes look a red and puffy, and you know yours do too. After a moment of no one moving you get the courage up to walk past them and past him as if he was anyone else.
Seunghyun moves his hand out to grasp your arm, wanting to explain it all to you, to tell you how bad he misses you, to wrap you in his long arms and hold you so close you’d both be in trouble of suffocating, but he keeps his hands at his sides and lets you walk out the door.
The boys walk into the studio and begin working on their song. They were also releasing a breakup song. He wrote it about the two of you and basically told the guys if they couldn’t do the song, he wouldn’t perform anymore. The guys had seen the last week without you, barely eating or moving. Motivating him to get into the studio today was the hardest thing they’d ever done.
“Hyung,” Ji-yong said.
“Hmm,” Seung hummed as he sat down beside his best friend.
“Just call her, tell her what’s going on with you.”
“She doesn’t need that,” boy was he wrong. That’s all you needed. Was to hear his voice, hear how bad he missed you, hear how the world didn’t turn quite right without you in his life.
“Seunghyun,” Taeyang gently puts his hand on his buddy’s shoulder as he sits on the opposite side of the couch.
“She didn’t look good,” he says gently. He won’t look at either of them.
“I’m doing this for her,” he snaps with anger.
“I’m no good for her or her career,” his voice is thick with venom, not at you or his friends, but at himself.
“You really think those people are right? Man, people have known for the last 9 months that you’ve been together, and you’d really been together almost 2 years. Nothing happened.” Daesung tries to reason with the oldest of the group. But Seunghyun won’t hear it.
“She got more hate, and less ratings and it took a toll on her, I could see it. She lost out on deals with brands and even performances for shows.” He rubs his hands over his face.
“I watched it all, trying to convince myself it didn’t matter, trying to convince myself she needed me and that I wasn’t hindering her. But I just couldn’t do it anymore.” The guys look between themselves without saying a word, but they all knew, this was bad.
A few months pass by and you slowly fall into a routine without him. It still hurts, and anytime you see him on tv or on social media you feel that sting in your chest. But you couldn’t bring yourself to unfollow him on anything. You still loved him and wanted to support him, even though it broke your heart at the same time. He never unfollowed you, instead he was actually quite active. He would like your posts, comment even. But you noticed when he did, people weren’t so nice.
You noticed more of the hateful comments once you had gone public with your relationship, but it never bothered you. Did you loose out on some stuff? Sure, but that was because you chose to, not because of him. There were multiple brands who wanted you to be a spokesman but you didn’t support what they stood for or genuinely didn’t care for the product, so you rejected them. You chose not to do certain award shows or talk shows because you wanted to prioritize rest this year, you’d been going nonstop the past 3 and it was time to slow down some. After all you had enough of a career that taking a step back wouldn’t affect you too much. You still got offers and calls about multiple media performances and deals, you just simply chose not to.
After a while seeing the unpleasant comments to your now ex you decided to turn the comments off on social media. You couldn’t stand to see them be so mean to him. He didn’t do anything wrong and the best way you thought you could defend him was to stop letting him or anyone else comment.
Seunghyun took that as you didn’t want to hear from him. He seen your latest post talking about the outfits you were considering for the Circle Chart Music Awards. He smiled as he seen you look so beautiful in your sparkly outfits. He went to comment but realized they had been turned off. He frowned to himself and decided he needed to call the guys. They each came over and brought food, after all the boy’s still healing and food always helps.
“Ok, just because the comments are off doesn’t mean it bothered her you were commenting.” Daesung spoke up.
“Yeah, I mean, did she like your comments or say anything?” Ji-yong asks.
“Well, I, uh, yeah. She liked them.” He takes a swig of his wine and shows his friends his phone.
“Then I don’t think it was about you,” Taeyang offers before taking a bite of his sushi. Seunghyun sighs and he takes another bite.
“I still miss her,” he murmurs.
“Wait, you said she’s going to the Circle Chart Awards?” Jiyong’s voice is thick with a “I have a plan and you may not like it,” kind of tone.
“Yeah,”
“Ok, we’re,” he gestures to the 4 of them with his hand going int a circle, “going to the Circle Chart Music Awards.” He looks at Seunghyun with a “do you get what I’m saying,” look. Seunghyun just looks at him as if he’s lost his mind.
“This would be your chance, hyung.” Taeyang explains.
“Exactly!” Ji-yong states matter of factly. Seunghyun’s face looks unsure.
“I don’t know,” he looks at his plate and pushes his food around.
“Look the song will be released and we’ll perform it.” Daesung said. Seunghyun sighs with defeat.
The day of the CCMA’s is finally here. It also happens to mark the one-year anniversary of your breakup with Seunghyun. The place is buzzing with activity as you can’t help but wish he was there with you celebrating the moment. You were up for best new song this year. You had signed with a Korean label the year before and chose to stick with it and now you’re nominated for best new song! Ironically, for the breakup song you released a few months back called “Home”.
As you rush around back stage you accidentally bump into someone.
“Oh, my goodness I’m sorry,” you freeze. It’s Ji-yong. He smiles wide at you and instantly wraps his arms around your frame.
“How are you, yeodongsaeng?” he questions cheerfully. You give him a smile.
“Fine, Oppa how are you?” you giggle genuinely at the sweet name you hadn’t heard in a while.
“Excited, nervous but excited. I can’t wait to see you perform. I know Seunghyun can’t wait either,” he wiggles his brows and you purse your lips.
“Thank you, that’s, uh, very kind of you.” You pause for a moment before speaking again, “I uh, I should go. But good luck with your performance!” You turn to leave but he grabs your arm gently.
“He really isn’t doing well,” Ji-yong confesses quietly.
“He’s a wreck, honestly,” he rubs the back of his neck. He was told not to tell you anything if he did run into you, but Ji-yong was only trying to help. Your heart hurt for him, despite how much he broke it.
“Ji, he left me.” You say barely above a whisper.
“I know, but I just thought you should know,” he gives you a sad smile and begins to walk off. For a brief moment your feet try to drag you to follow in his direction, but before you can move your manager drags you the opposite way.
“The show is starting, get to your seat,” You sigh as you let her pull you away. The show goes wonderfully, multiple awards are given out, many performances are being done by countless stars and idols. Then the time comes.
“Please Welcome to the stage, Y/N!” You take a deep breath as the lights go down low and the music starts. The emotions well up in your chest and you force yourself to use them. You’re determined to make this performance one of the best. You walk down the steps gingerly with your dancers behind you, moving to the music like you had for the millionth time. You get to the edge of the stage and then it happens. You see him standing there, nodding along, a smile on his face like he’s the proudest he’s ever been of you. Seunghyun notices you’ve made eye contact and gives you an awkward shy smile. You continue through the song and dance ending with the line,
“Oh, baby, won’t you come to me.” As you stare directly at him in your final pose. His eyes grow wide just for a moment before returning to his proud demeanor. He shouts for you, he’s still your biggest fan. You exit the stage, gasping for air as the anxiety from the moment catches up with you. There’s a brief pause in the show, probably for a commercial break.
“That was the best one yet!” Your manager said ignoring the obvious signs of anxiety. You clutch your chest heaving as you take a sip of water.
“You seen him, didn’t you?” your best friend asks. All you can do is nod. Out of the corner of your eye you see him again, walking with his bandmates. He notices you and, even though he still needs to get ready he breaks away from the stylists and his band members and rushes over to you. He bends down right in front of where you’re sitting on the floor. You can’t do anything but stare at him. He doesn’t say a word, even after all this time he really doesn’t need to. You knew exactly what he was doing.
You took in his image, the neatly fixed hair, tanned looking skin, big dark eyes that you’d loved to get lost in. The concern in them and on his face. He genuinely was worried about you. Once you regained you composure he stood up and hesitantly walked away.
“Are you kidding me?” you shout at him, a sudden rage filling your bones. He stops dead in his tracks as everyone around you puts their eyes on you, you couldn’t care less though. He doesn’t turn to face you, if he did, he didn’t know what he’d do. Wrap you in arms so tight he’d never let you go, kiss you like no one was watching, hold you and walk out of the whole show like you were the only thing in this world that mattered. So he kept his back to you.
“You won’t even say anything,” your voice is weak and it cracks that he won’t face you, face the heartache. He walks back to where he was when he first saw you without a second glance. You bring your bottom lip in between your teeth as you choke back tears.
You dash off to your dressing room, not caring who saw you at this point. You broke down into a pool of tears as the door slammed behind you. It’s been a year, why did this still hurt so much?
Back in the Big Bang dressing room the guys were getting ready to perform. It was silent, no one really sure how to continue a conversation after the display that just occurred.
“You have to make sure she hears the song,” Ji-yong says to your best friend. She knew better than to try and console you right now. You were overwhelmed and having anyone else there would make it worse, so she did the only think she could think of, go to the guys.
“I’ll do my best but she’s really really upset,” Seunghyun stole a glance her way.
“You should try to talk to her,” she offered. Seunghyun was deep in thought.
“After the song,” was all he could manage to say. Your friend ran her hand through her hair out of stress as she sighed.
“Listen, I don’t know what’s goin to happen,” she started as she walked over to your ex’s chair.
“But just know you fucking broke her heart and it’s real shitty of you to sit here and not even speak to her but act like you care,” she was trying to be nice but her tone betrayed her. She didn’t want to hurt him or make him more hesitant to talk to you, but she was sick of you being upset and feeling like you’d gotten over him only to realize you hadn’t.
“If you want to be with her, be with her, screw what anyone else has to say. But if you’re goin to let them,” she puts up air quotes nodding to the fans and media, “decide what’s best for you two, just stay away from her. Let her heal, let her be. Because she can’t keep doing this.” Her tone was harsh but her eyes pleading. Pleading for him to make up his mind, one way or the other. She walks out to try and convince you to come out. Seunghyun decides he knows what he wants, and he's done letting others dictate his actions.
You gently open the door, make up smeared and eyes red.
“You wanna come out now? Maybe go see if you win the award?” You sigh and shrug your shoulders. You fix your makeup and walk back out to your seat.
The announcer comes back out to the stage with the mic to her lips, “Please welcome, Big Bang,” she shouts and the crowd erupts! You take a deep breath as you clap for them.
“This is a newer song called, Flower Road,” your breath catches in your chest. You heard the song when it was released. It was definitely a banger, sad, but still a banger. Throughout the whole performance T.O.P. couldn’t take his eyes off you. During his verse he walks down the steps of the stage and stands in front of you. The spotlight hitting both of you as he raps. He takes your hand in his and holds it like he’s afraid to let you go. Once he finishes the spotlight moves else-where, but he stays put for a moment, studying you. Your hand is limp in his as you can’t believe he was that bold, but at the same time, you could. He wasn’t always vulnerable in front a lot of people, but when he was it meant something.
After the performance the guys run off stage and your category is next.
“And the winner for best new song is,” the drum roll is in effect and hold your breath.
“Home by Y/N,” your name echos through the arena as you freeze.
“GO!” your friend shouts at you and you make you way up to the stage.
“Oh, wow I um, wow.” You giggle into the mic after bowing and receiving the award.
“I um, I want to thank my label for believing in this song, I wanna think my friends who have supported me, and,” you pause as you glance at the award.
“I’d like to thank the man that inspired it. Because now I have one of these,” you giggle. You catch his eye again in the crowd with a sad but also proud smile.
“Thank you so much to the fans for listening and sticking by me. This year has been, insane. But your support has meant the world to me. I love you all, thank you!” With that you walk off the stage and go back to the dressing room. Your staff try to enter with you but you tell them you need a minute. You stare in the mirror at your self and you take a moment to process the events of the night. In the silence of the moment you hear a knock.
“Guys just, give me a minute,” you call out to them.
“I don’t need long,” you hear that familiar deep smooth as butter voice. The one that you used to melt for. The one you still melt for. You glance at him from the mirror as he peaks inside. You draw your bottom lip in between your teeth again.
“I don’t have a lot of time, there’s an after party,” you say trying to dismiss him but he walks in anyway.
“I’ll talk while you change then,”
“Seung,” you try to stop him.
“God, I’ve missed the way you say my name,” he groans. You’re slightly taken aback by his words.
“You stand in the middle of the room as he walks up to you, the close proximity making your heart beat quicker and quicker.
“What do you want?” you can’t bring your self to look at him, rather you look to the side of him.
“Another chance,” he whispers as he takes your chin in between his index finger and thumb.
“I-I,” is all you can say.
“I know its asking a lot,” he admits.
“I really thought I was doing the right thing, baby, I-I thought you were better off without me. Like I was dragging you down, causing your career to fail. You were doing less and less after we went public and I felt like it was all my fault. I thought I did the best I could for you in the long term, but I have to be honest, this has been hell,” a few tears fall from his eyes as he explains himself.
“You fucking broke me,” your voice is weak. You didn’t want to admit it but it was hard.
“Agi,” his voice comes out as a whisper again as he takes in the look on your face. A look of defeat, anger, hurt, desperation.
“I’m so sorry,”
“You know you weren’t the reason I was doing less, right?” You place a hand on his cheek as you search his eyes, they just look defeated.
“I was slowing down, Oppa, it wasn’t because of you, I was telling people no for the first time in my career and it was invigorating, liberating even.” His flash with a kind of relief like he’d been holding a deep dark secret.
“Why didn’t you tell me that?”
“I honestly didn’t know it affected you.” You stand there, the silence in the room thick. You glance as his lips and before you can process what’s happening, they come into contact yours, slow and deep, nothing about the kiss is rushed and you can’t help but let yourself melt into his touch. His arms snake around your waist as yours instinctively go around his neck. You hear him groan into the kiss as you start playing with the hair at the nape of his neck. The way the two of you fit together against one another is perfect. Nothing is out of place and nothing is out of sync.
“I’m sorry,” he says against your lips, but you don’t let him break away.
“I know,” you mumble as you try to pull him impossibly closer. The only reason you part is because you need air. You rest your foreheads together both of you chests heaving.
“God I miss you,” he whispers as he pulls you into him and rests hid head on top of yours.
“I’ve missed you too,” you say as you shut your eyes clinging to him. You could stay like that forever. And if the world would allow, you would, but as fate would have it, the door busts open the two of you look at it without separating.
“WE WON ALBUM OF THE YEAR!” Ji-yong shouts. You laugh at his excitement. The guys take in your embrace and smiles and then start shouting for another reason.
“Finally!” Taeyang says as he comes over to the both of you.
“It’s about time you love birds got back together!” You can’t help but let out another giggle as look up at the man you love.
“Congratulations, guys! You really earned it.” They each return a thank you and you look up at your boyfriend again.
“Congratulations, Oppa,” you stand on your tip toes to give him a sweet kiss.
“Thank you, but I won the minute I got you back,” he smiles and returns your kiss passionately.

only girl

summary: in which you're both pretty in pink
You had to physically stop yourself from bouncing on the couch.
The air was thick with the scent of expensive cologne and faint cigarette smoke, a combination that somehow smelled exactly like you imagined he would.
Even after two weeks of your evenings spent here, sitting in G-Dragon’s studio still felt like a fever dream.
Your hands clenched into fists in your lap, trying to keep your excitement contained as Jiyong sat across from you, casually scrolling through his laptop as if this wasn’t the biggest moment of your career.
“This is the track,” he finally said, pressing play.
A deep bassline rumbled through the speakers, followed by a hypnotic melody. The beat was dark and sultry, unmistakably his sound, but then - your voice.
Your breath hitched.
He had already layered your demo vocals onto the song.
You glanced at him in disbelief, but Jiyong was watching you intently, one hand resting lazily against his lips.
“You like it?”
“Are you serious?” Your voice cracked slightly, betraying your nerves. “This is - this is insane. It’s so good.”
He smirked, pleased.
“I'm glad you agreed to work with me. I’ve been a fan of yours for a while,” he admitted casually, as if he hadn’t just shattered your entire perception of reality.
Your brain short-circuited.
“I- wait, really?”
Jiyong chuckled at your reaction. “You have this energy- ” he gestured vaguely, “- that the industry needs. It's addictive. This is your first solo project, right?”
You nodded, still processing the fact that he admitted to liking your music. You were a part of a girl group that were on the rise to success with a couple of hit songs.
The girls were currently on hiatus as they worked on their individual careers and this was the first time you'd worked on something without them. It was surreal that he chose you to feature on his comeback album after his years away from the spotlight.
“Well,” he leaned forward, eyes glinting, “let’s hope this is just the beginning.”
𓆩♡𓆪 𓆩♡𓆪 𓆩♡𓆪 Six months later, 2024 MAMA Awards:
You were trying very hard to keep a straight face.
Which was difficult, considering G-Dragon was standing directly in front of you, smiling that slow, knowing smile like he knew a secret no one else in the room did.
Because he did.
Your bandmates, however, were completely oblivious, practically vibrating as they struggled to remain composed. You were nearly hit in the face with a light stick.
“Holy shit, it’s actually him,” one of them whispered.
Your leader was the first to recover. “Ah! Sunbaenim! It’s an honour to meet you!”
Jiyong chuckled, bowing respectfully. “I’ve been meaning to say hello.”
As he rose, his eyes flickered to yours, just for a second.
No one else noticed, but you did.
That subtle flicker of amusement, that unspoken acknowledgment.
You had seen each other just last night.
And yet, here you were, pretending this was your first interaction.
“I’m a huge fan,” your youngest member gushed. “Like, actually. Huge.”
Jiyong smirked. “Oh?”
Your bandmate nodded rapidly. “We were literally just talking about your performance.”
Which was true.
Jiyong had just stepped off the stage after his first live performance in years, wearing a custom pink ensemble that had the entire room of idols buzzing.
And coincidentally…
You were wearing pink too.
Your stylist had handed you this dress earlier today, saying it would be “perfect for the show.” But you knew better.
This wasn’t a coincidence.
Jiyong planned this.
It was a silent, unspoken statement - one only the two of you understood.
Your bandmates, still too distracted by his presence, completely missed the way his fingers briefly grazed yours when he moved past you.
A touch so fleeting it almost didn’t happen.
Almost.
And then, just as quickly as he appeared, he was gone.
Your bandmate immediately turned to you, shaking your arm.
“Hello?! You love G-Dragon. Why aren't you screaming right now?!”
You blinked innocently.
“Oh, trust me,” you said, lips curling into a secretive smile.
“I was dying on the inside.”
𓆩♡𓆪 𓆩♡𓆪 𓆩♡𓆪
Your back hit the hotel suite’s wall with a soft thud, Jiyong’s mouth already on yours before the door had even clicked shut.
His hands found your waist, fingers pressing into the silky fabric of your dress - the pink dress - bunching it slightly as he pulled you closer.
“You looked so good tonight,” he murmured against your lips, voice husky.
You smiled into the kiss, fingers tangling in his pink hair.
“You planned it.”
Jiyong pulled back slightly, cocking a brow. “Planned what?”
You scoffed. “The outfits. You knew I’d match you.”
He grinned, shameless. “Maybe.”
You swatted his arm, but he caught your wrist, pressing a slow kiss to your palm before lacing his fingers with yours.
“You should’ve seen your face,” he mused, smirking. “Trying so hard to act normal.”
“You weren’t exactly subtle either,” you shot back. “The lingering looks? The hand touch? Jiyong, come on.”
He hummed in amusement, resting his forehead against yours.
“We’ve been careful for six months,” he murmured, thumb stroking the inside of your wrist. “You really think people are starting to notice?”
“Not yet,” you admitted. “But if you keep showing up to award shows looking like my soulmate, they might.”
Jiyong chuckled.
Then, softly - softer than you’d ever heard him - he murmured,
“Would that be so bad, Jagiya?”
Your breath caught.
This wasn’t just a secret fling anymore.
It was something else entirely.

Okay but can someone bless us with a smutty GD x Fem!Reader where she’s on set with him during the infinite challenge where he plays that dominant CEO and she realizes that while she loves her sweet and caring Ji-Yong, something about him playing a rough, mafia-esque character has got her panting like a bitch in heat for him.
Does he notice her literally drooling over him? Maybe he can see her off to the side, eyeing him up and down biting her lip, waiting for the right moment to drag his ass back home to let him have his dominant way with her.
(or maybe she can’t wait and jumps his bones in a supply closet, cuz same girl, same)
OR BETTER YET
She’s watching it at home and texts him telling him how HOT he looked, and he decides to bring the character home to have a little fun 😈😇
Cuz I MEAN HELLO LOOK AT HIM 🥵
Happy Wednesday 😌
