exactly bro. I also totally see Jinx becoming like revolutionary symbol just from causing chaos for enforcers/topside for fun, but then people see that and attribute it to a full on zaunite revolution when Jinx was actually motivated by selfish chaotic reasons, not with any ideology behind it. Maybe the Jinxers end up committing their own attacks in the name of Jinx’s persona and that is what rlly makes it about a whole Zaunite movement. So now Jinx has all these people following her that she doesn’t rlly gaf about cuz she just wants to cause chaos. So she ends up first using these people just to create lot chaos, not to fight in the name of Zaun or Silco’s legacy. So she’s using these people irresponsibly cuz she’s apathetic towards the harm her reckless actions are causing. Then she undergoes that arc about understanding the legacy of Zaun and starting to understand why people care about Zaun more than just causing chaos in Piltover.

plus if you also had Vi exploring Vander’s complicated legacy then she would have excellent growth too. She would understand how things do change, the world is more complex than she realized (as she reckons with Vander’s troubled past), etc. Maybe through somehow understanding/reconnecting with Jinx in some way after/during Vi dealing with Vander’s legacy, Vi can pass on the advice that when people look up to you, you don’t get to be selfish. And then maybe Vi learns that good leadership doesn’t need to come with the cost of immense internal guilt and she can h learn some of these self-destructive tendencies she has developed because of her guilt and how she uses aggression.

I don’t think either of them would directl take up their father’s mantels as leader of the undercity I think they’d need to find what they rlly want in life and how they’ll best move forward. but the sisters’ own lessons that they have learned could rub off on one another and mix for the better of Zaun, in a way that Silco and Vander’s beliefs failed to. They’re both able to learn from their father’s mistakes so that they are not doomed to repeat them thus breaking free of this generational cycle of violence, so that Zaun can one day heal from its own toxic cycles at larger scale.

I feel like ‘revolutionary symbol […]’ arc would have worked way better with Jinx than with any other character cos Ekko/Sevika/Vi already want revolution/improvement and are already doing it, so them getting that arc would be a very straightforward thing to do.

Jinx would be the one the most challenged by being on such an arc and it’d be fitting and meaningful, to have her start being less self-centered and selfish, to understand what her whole family was talking about their whole lives and begin to care about the revolution not just to gain their approval, as Silco’s legacy: all the bad things Silco did was for independence and her, she could have kept alive the good parts about him and the good he wanted to do and leave the rest behind, and he was the one who cared about revolution/independence the most. This shit is writing itself.

‘twist villain’ is always good of course but i’m such a sucker for ‘twist hero’. specifically as in they write a character to be as suspicious and unnerving as possible without really actually doing anything wrong yet but you just KNOW something is wrong but then surprise. they’re fine actually. all the alleged wrongdoings were either lies harmless or taken out of context. it’s even better if the suspicious aspects of their personality don’t go away after the reveal that they’re a good guy. they just act and look and talk like that for fun. they’re just a little silly

Y'all have got to stop virulently hating men. Like, I'm sorry, I fucking hate the patriarchy too, but the patriarchy isn't just men and saying it is just exculpates complicit women. I am the mother of a young boy, and I look at this precious, empathetic 8 year old boy I'm raising and I don't know where online is safe for him. Places like this will say he's evil just for his gender, and other places will say "we'll be your friend if you hate with us," and still others will radicalize him in other ways. Where is he supposed to go? Why are we saying the radicalization is the fault of the kids just trying to find a place to hang?

Like this is seriously getting urgent. You have got to fucking stop conflating the patriarchy and men. 53% percent of white women voted for Trump. Men aren't the problem. White supremacy and Christian patriarchal structures are two examples of patriarchy-reinforcing structures that aren't solely couched in maleness. Men aren't the problem, and pretending they are drives more men into more welcoming extremist spaces and also ignores all the parts of this that are forwarded by people who aren't men.

What I see happening all over is scared, depressed, lonely people looking for someone they're allowed to hate automatically, unquestioningly - someone they're allowed to place all the blame on. Fascism says people of color, non-Christian people, queer people, etc., are the ones they're allowed to hate.
