more mouthwashing thoughts... The way curly follows all the rules and only really bends them in the interest of helping his crew but only in ways that won't rock the boat or get him in trouble.... Doing Jimmy's psych eval cos 'ive known him a long time and he'll open up to me easier' so Anya has an easier job but also so the psych evals get done...

And the way Jimmy is ready to break all rules in the interest of running a ship and 'keeping it together' for all of them when they crash...

And curly goes to Jimmy for Anya when he finds out Anya's pregnant cos he assumes Jimmy will take responsibility and do the right thing and own up... He wants to help but in a way that's calm and assumes the best of everyone

While Jimmy's response is to crash the fuckinf ship and try to kill them all, and that only brings about him having to take responsibility by breaking the rules even tho no one asked him to

Just very interesting looking at them and how they're intertwined. Curlys refusal to rock the boat makes him a passive bystander by the end and Jimmy's dismissal of the rules and what's right earns him further torment in the problems he tried to avoid...
