Headcanon thingy, but how would the companions + Gortash react to their lover taking a blow meant for them? (Sweetheart survives, but they'll definitely need some time to recover)
this post would get realllyyyy long if i did all the companions so i did the male companions + gortash, but let me know if u want me to do a separate one for the female companions too 💗💗
GN!reader, small mentions of violence
GORTASH
he’d prefer for you steer clear of any conflict— he considers it beneath you to get your hands dirty— but he doesn’t like to argue. he imagines one of these times you’ll learn your lesson, meaning he’s fully expecting you to come crawling back after a good whooping while promising to never do it again
when he’s approached by an angry subordinate, shaking their fist and yelling profanities at him, he easily maintains composure— he knows his steel watch could reduce anyone to a skid mark on the earth with a simple command. his scrappy sidekick however…………… 👹
he’s only slightly embarrassed when you jump in front of the aggressor, telling them off for their disrespect. suddenly their anger is directed towards you, resulting in a nasty pop to the face that sends you onto the floor. his eyes widen at the sight of you injured for his sake, and with one sharp inhale, he orders his steel watch to destroy your attacker. (and their family. and their friends. and their acquaintances)
he stays at your side while you get bandaged up, threatening the healer’s life every time you wince. he asks what you learned from this experience, hopeful. you think “i need a thicker skull” probably wasn’t the right answer, seeing as his immediate response is “🗿” LMAO
WYLL
he loves to be the one who swoops in and saves you. it really gives him that “heroic” feeling (even if you have to pretend to be his damsel in distress). you guys are always giving your enemies the ick 😹😹
this all goes to his head though, and he can get a little too cocky— like when he jumps in to take on too many enemies at once, and is clearly having a hard time defending you both. he tries to maintain his heroic persona, but you can’t help noticing how you two are getting backed into a corner
while he’s distracted and putting on a show of chivalry, you see an enemy going straight for his blind spot. it’s too late to retaliate, but you do have enough time to jump out in front of the attack. he watches you fall to the ground in pain, HORRIFIED by the fact that he failed to protect you. he forgets his knightly act in a fit of desperation, fighting as dirty as he needs to so you two have the opportunity to scamper away
he criticizes himself SO badly over your injuries. the hit may have broke your face but his failure broke his soul... 💔 LMFAO. he vows to you that it’ll never happen again, and that he’ll be more vigilant than ever from then on out— cue his extremely rigorous and inspirational training montage
GALE
he usually stays toward the rear during battle, using long range magic attacks while you take care of things in the front. he’s not adept at wearing armor and his robes don’t offer much protection— it’s just smarter this way
now imagine how his feeble wizard bones begin to quake when an enemy sneaks past you and sprints his way with a melee attack LMFAO. he’s a planner, not an improviser, so his brain races a million miles a minute trying to think of which spell to use. he needs to cast something powerful, but your close proximity makes him hesitate
you notice his stutter and quickly reach out to off the enemy. unfortunately, this results in you turning your back to another and opening yourself up to a sneak attack. you’re hit hard, and it takes you out of the fight. luckily, the last enemy has 1 HP, so he can easily finish them off with a hasty bop on the head from his staff 💥
afterwards, he’s STRICKEN with worry, cradling your face and trying to get you to speak to him clearly. once he realizes that your injury is healable, you get whiplash from how fast he switches back and forth between admiration and concern. “that was absolutely amazing! 🤩 ” “I THOUGHT YOU DIED!!! 😵”
ASTARION
you guys are super playful in battle. seeing who can kill the most enemies, doing fun combos together, trash talking (it’s giving legolas and gimli). fights with him on your team are rarely serious
he’s quick and alert, so he’s an expert at dodging attacks— it just so happens that you’re standing behind him one of these times, and you end up taking the full force of the blow in his place. he’s used to teasing you for your misfortunes in battle, so his first instinct is to point and laugh 😭
when you don’t get up and give him a bloodstained grin, he realizes something is seriously wrong. a wave of panic washes over him, and the last thing he remembers is switching into feral vampire mode to get you two out of there safely— i’m talking ripping out throats with his teeth 👹
you’re immediately scolded once you come to; “imagine how bad that could’ve been!”, and “you scared me half to death!”— a.k.a he feels SO BAD for letting this happen LMAO, and he 100% blames himself for not knowing you were behind him. he admits it was his fault after you promise to be more careful, and he promises that he will be too (with a little leg room for fun, of course)

The afternoon air was cool as you make your way across campus, the sun lazily sinking behind the student center.
You're walking to Geto’s shared apartment to finish the last details of your end-of-semester presentation for your public health class.
You weren’t nervous—after weeks of working on the project, things were going smoothly. Especially with Geto, who you'd surprisingly clicked with.
He turned out to be surprisingly down-to-earth for a business major.
As you approach the apartment complex, the brunette's warning from earlier in the week echoes in your mind.
“You’ll probably meet my roommate at some point,” he had said, scratching the back of his neck. “Just... heads up. Gojo’s a bit much. He thinks everyone falls in love with him, so don’t be surprised if he—”
You waved him off, laughing it off at the time. A guy with a reputation for being cocky wasn’t exactly news.
You’d dealt with enough overconfident people before, and you weren’t about to let someone like Gojo get under your skin.
The door swings open before you can even knock, revealing Geto standing there dressed casually in a hoodie and joggers.
His dark hair pulled back in its usual neat bun as he gave you a small smile, stepping aside to let you in.
"Hey, come on in," he said, his voice smooth as usual. The apartment smelled faintly clean and expensive—probably whatever brand of cologne they both wore.
It was neat and minimal, with modern furniture and just enough personality to show that two guys lived here but weren’t obsessed with keeping it pristine.
As you dropped your backpack onto the table and prepared to dive into your notes, footsteps stomp down the hall.
You glance at Geto who released as if he knew what was coming.
“Yo, Suguru!” A voice loudly rang before the person even appeared. “You got any more—”
The moment he stepped into the room, his sentence stops once his gaze locks on you.
Tall and broad-shouldered, dressed in sweatpants that slung low on his hips and a t-shirt clinging to his lean frame—Gojo Satoru had a presence of someone who was used to being noticed.
His white hair was an unruly mess, and his blue eyes gleamed with immediate interest as he took you in.
“Well, well, what do we have here?” his voice had a teasing tone as he casually leaned against the doorframe with crossed arms.
There it was—the swagger, the cocky smirk, the way he took his sweet time taking you in. You could hear Geto’s silent groan beside you.
Gojo didn’t stop there.
"So..." He stepped forward, sliding his hands into the pockets of his sweatpants as he made his way around the couch. “You’re the one making Suguru's grades look good, huh? Damn, he didn’t tell me you'd be this cute tho."
His voice is smooth—almost too smooth. You couldn’t help the slight snort that escaped before you caught yourself.
Clearly this isn't the first time he's tried to charm someone within five seconds of meeting them.
It’s like he’s on autopilot, throwing out compliments without a second thought as if he's sure they'll land. Maybe they did.
"Cute huh?" you replied, voice flat but not unfriendly. “Unfortunately for him, I’m just here for the project. Not to boost anyone’s grades.”
Gojo’s grin didn’t falter—if anything it widened, like he had just been given a new challenge.
He stepped closer, leaning against the back of the couch now, his eyes never leaving yours.
“Oh, I get it,” his tone dips slightly, lowering his voice he as if letting you in on a secret. “You’ve heard about me, haven’t you? That’s why you’re playing hard to get.”
You glanced at Geto, who was already flipping through his textbook as if to distance himself from the unfolding situation. Gee, thanks.
Rolling your eyes, you turn back at Gojo with an unimpressed look.
“I’ve heard of you,” you admit, your tone dry. “But it’s nothing I haven’t seen before. You can save the charm for someone else.”
His smirk falters for just a second, you see a flicker within his eyes—surprise maybe? Amusement? Whatever it was, it vanishes as quick as it had appeared.
There’s a spark of challenge in his gaze now. He straightens up tilting his head playfully.
“Cold, huh?” Gojo chuckled softly. “I like that about you.”
You scoff, more amused than annoyed.
Geto, sensing the moment had stretched on long enough, finally spoke up. “She’s not interested man,” he says, tone casual with a hint of warning. “And we’ve got work to do, so...”
Gojo wasn’t fazed. He just laughed again, raising his hands in mock surrender. “Alright, alright. I’m just being friendly. Don’t mind me.”
But of course he doesn’t leave.
Instead he moves around to the opposite side of the table, grabbing a snack from the counter as he watches the two of you work.
Every now and then, you could feel his gaze flicker in your direction—lingering just long enough for you to notice.
You sighed. This guy was going to be a problem.
After a few minutes of him loitering in the kitchen, Gojo finally tossed the empty snack wrapper into the trash and pushed off from the counter.
“Think Imma leave you two nerds at it. But hey,—” he pauses his trek down the hall, voice lowering just slightly as he gives you one last look. “Don’t be a stranger, kay?”
You didn’t respond, just waving him off to focusing back on your laptop. Only once you heard his bedroom door click shut did you let out the breath you hadn’t realized you were holding.
Geto glanced up at you, the barest hint of a smile on his face. “Told you he was a bit much.”
You snort with a shake of your head. “A bit?”
As much as you tried to shrug it off, you had a feeling this wouldn’t be the last time you crossed paths with him.
Though you didn't worry too much, you had no time for guys like Gojo—no matter how much money he had or how attractive he might be.
'He can try all he wants' , you think as your fingers fly over the keyboard. 'But I’m not interested.'
════════════════*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*═════════════════
The days after your first encounter with Gojo Satoru felt like a game of cat-and-mouse.
No matter where you went on campus, it seemed like Gojo wasn’t far behind—sliding into your space with a smug grin like he belonged there.
You hadn’t expected him to be so relentless, especially after you shut him down at their apartment. If anything, it seemed to motivate him more.
He seemed to thrive on the challenge of someone not immediately falling for his charm. And Gojo wasn’t subtle about it.
Not at all.
You had left lecture hall and went to the courtyard to review your notes when a familiar presence loomed next to you.
You didn’t even need to look up to know who it was—there was an energy about Gojo that was impossible to ignore.
“Hey, stranger,” he greeted smoothly in that teasing voice that had (unfortunately) started to become annoyingly familiar.
He dropped into the seat next to you, long legs stretched out as if he owned the place.
Without sparing a glance you sighed. “Pretty sure I told you I’m not interested,” you replied, tone flat as your eyes remained glued to your notes.
You didn’t have to see his face to know he was smiling. He chuckled, leaning back in his chair like he had all the time in the world. “Interested in what? I’m just sitting here. Coulda sworn it’s a free campus...”
You shot him a sideways look. He was grinning—of course he was—and that lazy confidence radiated off him like heat.
His nonchalance was infuriating, but at the same time there was something undeniably charming about it.
You'd heard (and even witnessed) a few stories about Gojo Satoru—the endless flings, the parties, the girls who lined up for a shot with him
And yet here he was, fixated on you.
It didn’t make sense. You weren’t falling for his charm but he still kept coming back for more.
“I’m not buying it,” you muttered, finally turning to face him. “I know your type. You’re used to getting whatever you want.”
His grin widened as he leaned in, his eyes dropping to your lips. “Not everything, apparently.”
Your heart did a little flip at that, but you pushed the feeling down with a roll of your eyes.
There was no way you were going to let him get to you, no matter how persistent he was.
*.·:·.☽✧✧☾.·:·.*
It didn’t stop there.
That same evening as you walked from the library, your phone buzzed, a notification lighting up your screen.
Snapchat: Gojo Satoru has added you.
Of course he did.
With a resigned sigh you unlock the phone with half a mind to leave him on read. But curiosity got the better of you, and you tapped the notification.
A message popped up almost instantly.
Gojo: Saw you at the library today. Looking cute, as usual.
You couldn’t help the soft scoff that escaped you. Another message followed quickly after:
Gojo: We should hang sometime. I know a place that does the best sushi. My treat.
He really wasn’t going to give up, was he? Your fingers hover over the keyboard before you shot back a quick response:
You: Not interested.
But as soon as you sent it, another message from him appeared—almost like he had been waiting for it.
Gojo: Lol, sure. You keep saying that, but I know you’ll come around ;)
You locked your phone with a huff, shoving it back into your bag as you continued your walk to the dorms.
It was irritating how effortlessly confident he was, like he already knew the outcome before you did.
And the worst part? There was a tiny part of you—the smallest flicker—that couldn’t help but anticipate the next encounter.
════════════════*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*═════════════════
And yet it wasn’t just over text. No matter where you went, Gojo found a way to insert himself into your day.
Whether it was him casually appearing in the food court while you grabbed lunch or running into him on the way to class, he was everywhere.
Like today for example: you were sitting just outside the university center, enjoying a rare quiet moment between classes as you listened to music.
The peace didn’t last long.
Gojo dropped down into the seat beside you without a word, plucking one of your earbuds out of your ear before you had a chance to stop him.
“What’re we listening to today?” he asked, popping the earbud into his ear without waiting for permission. He nodded along to the song, grinning in that infuriatingly charming way. “Not bad. You’ve got taste.”
You snatched the earbud back with a glare. “Ever heard of boundaries?”
“Sure,” Gojo replied, leaning back casually, completely unfazed. “But where’s the fun in that?”
He was close—too close—and you could feel the heat radiating off him as he shifted in his seat, his knee brushing lightly against yours.
It sent a shiver up your spine, and you hated how he seemed to sense it.
“I’ve been meaning to ask...” His voice dropped slightly, almost conspiratorial. “I know you like Chanel right? I saw you eyeing that bag at the mall last week.”
You froze for a second, caught off guard. How the hell did he know that? You hadn’t even noticed him there, must’ve seen you there by coincidence
You try to brush it off, muttering, “Just looking. Don’t have money for stuff like that.”
Gojo flashed you a softer grin, one that almost looked genuine—if it wasn’t for the cocky undertone beneath it.
“Good thing you’ve got me then,” he said, voice smooth and tempting. “I could get it for you. Whatever you want, it’s yours.”
You stared at him for a moment, the offer hanging in the air between you. You eyes hardened.
You weren’t some girl who could be bought off with expensive gifts. You weren’t like the girls who chased him at parties or slid into his DMs, hoping for a piece of his attention.
“No thanks,” you said sharply.. “I’m not one of those girls you can buy off, Gojo.”
For a brief moment his expression faltered. But just as quickly the mask of confidence slipped back into place.
“Didn’t say you were. Just offering.,” he replied, that playful edge returning to his tone. “Doesn’t hurt to spoil someone every now and then, right?”
You turn away refusing to engage any further. Though you couldn't stop the flutter in your chest, heart beating a little too fast for your liking.
There was a small part of you—the part that liked nice things and had never really been able to afford them—that was tempted.
But you knew better. You weren’t going to fall for it.
You had worked too hard for everything in your life to let someone like Gojo sweep in and make you forget who you were.
════════════════*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*═════════════════
You were in the library one afternoon, hunched over your notes trying to finish an assignment when you felt a familiar presence looming over you.
Without even looking up you sighed. “I already told you, I’m not interested.”
Gojo chuckled as he slid into the chair across from you, completely ignoring your dismissal. “You keep saying that, but you’re still talking to me.”
You sent a glare. He wasn’t wrong—you hadn’t exactly cut him off.
Despite your best efforts, Gojo managed to worm his way into your life. And the worst part?
A tiny part of you was starting to enjoy it.
“Maybe I’m just waiting for you to get bored and move on,” you shot back lacking the conviction you wanted.
Gojo’s eyes glinted with amusement. “You’re different,” he said after a moment, his voice quieter. “I like that about you.”
For a second you were caught off guard. But you didn’t have time to dwell on it.
Because just as quickly, he was back to his usual self, winking as he leaned back.
“Don’t worry,” he added, his voice laced with playful confidence. “I’m not going anywhere.”
You weren’t sure if you wanted him to.
════════════════*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*═════════════════
The party was in full swing by the time you arrived; music pounded through the packed house as people danced, drank, and shouted over the blaring bass.
You had been invited by Geto, the calm and collected male becoming more of a close friend than just a project partner.
Despite the promise you made to yourself to avoid parties like this, you figured it would be a nice way to let loose for once. Finals were near and honestly, you needed the distraction.
You had been doing a pretty good job of avoiding Gojo for the past few days. His persistent flirting, his smug confidence—it was all too much.
But tonight wasn’t about him. Tonight you were determined to just have a good time.
It didn’t take long for you to fall into the rhythm of the party.
You found yourself chatting with a guy you vaguely recognized from one of your classes away from the chaos of the dance floor.
He was cute—nice smile, easygoing—and for once, you let yourself enjoy the conversation.
Just as you started relax you caught a flicker of movement out of the corner of your eye. It was subtle at first, but enough to make you pause.
And then, there he was—Gojo Satoru.
He spotted you almost immediately, those familiar blue eyes locking onto you through the crowd.
His expression was unreadable for a moment, but as soon as he saw the guy standing next to you, his jaw tightened just slightly.
He didn’t bother hiding his irritation, but the way he handled it threw you off. Instead of marching over, Gojo leaned against the wall across the room, watching.
The beat of Skilla Baby's Mama thumped through the speakers, the lyrics booming across the house. As the chorus hit, Gojo’s eyes never left yours.
He didn’t approach yet, but his gaze was electric.
And when the lyrics came—“Yeah, I heard you got a man, but it's alright, mama (alright),”—he gave a nod, almost as if confirming what you already knew.
He tilted his head back slightly, mouthing the words to the chorus: “Bae, you know you the coldest.”
You felt heat creep up your neck in response. Gojo didn’t have to say anything—his meaning was clear. He wasn’t just here to win you over anymore.
He was here to make sure you understood no one else could compete with him. No one else could treat you like he could.
And that’s when he started moving.
Without missing a beat, Gojo strolled through the crowd like he owned the place (in a way he kind of did), making a beeline for you.
The guy you’d been talking to didn’t even notice, but you sure did. The closer Gojo got, the more the tension thickened until it felt like you were holding your breath.
You hated how your body reacted to his presence, the way your pulse quickened the second he was close.
“Hey,” he greeted, smooth as ever with an edge to it that wasn’t there before. He didn’t even spare the other guy a glance, all his focus on you. “Enjoying the party?”
Your grip tightened around your drink in attempt to steady yourself. “Yeah, I was.”
Gojo’s smile didn’t quite reach his eyes as he glanced at the guy again, finally acknowledging him.
“Sure, but...” He leaned in. “C’mon, you really gonna waste time with him when you know I could treat you right?”
You didn’t look at him right away, hoping the guy next to you would step back in and restart the conversation. But it was too late.
Gojo’s presence had already made him uncomfortable. And before you knew it, the guy mumbled about getting another drink before disappearing into the crowd.
You shot him a look. “Really?”
Gojo just shrugged, the faintest smirk pulling at the corners of his lips. “What? You seemed bored. Figured I’d help you out.”
“You mean chase him off?”
He stepped closer, and this time, there was no one between you.
“C’mon,” Gojo murmured. “You know he wasn’t your type.” His voice was low, but not in that typical teasing tone.
This time, there was something else—something more serious.
Your heart thudded as his words lingered in the air. The bass-heavy song continued to pulse through the room, but it felt like the rest of the party had melted away.
It was just you and Gojo now, the tension building with every passing second. And he knew it.
“I don’t know what you’re trying to prove,” you said, crossing your arms over your chest, though it was more to stop yourself from reaching out than anything else. “I’m not interested in being some kind of prize for you to win.”
Gojo’s expression softened, though his eyes still held that playful glint.
He stepped even closer, his voice dropping just above a whisper. “I’m not trying to win a prize. I’m trying to get to know you.”
You blinked at the sudden shift in his tone. It wasn’t like him to be this direct.
“I don’t believe you,” you said, though your voice lacked the bite you wanted it to have.
Gojo’s gaze softened even more, and he reached out, fingers brushing against your arm.
“I get it. You think I’m just here flirting. But you’re different, and I...” He hesitated, searching for the right words. “I like that you make me work for it.”
Your breath caught, the sincerity in his voice catching you completely off guard.
Gojo Satoru, the guy who never had to try for anything, was standing here before you, confessing he was willing to put in the effort.
The weight of it settled over you as you began to see him differently—not just as the arrogant flirt, but as someone who was starting to care.
He must’ve seen the hesitation in your eyes because he smiled softly, the cockiness from earlier melting into something warmer.
“Look, I know I can be... a lot.” He chuckled with a nervous scratch at the back of his neck. “But I’m not going anywhere, okay? I’m serious about you.”
The music continued to thump around you, but it felt distant now. You weren’t sure what to say.
Part of you wanted to believe him. But the other part—the one that had built walls around itself—was still afraid to let him in.
“Look...you wanna get out of here?” he didn’t sound as flippant as usual. “I can walk you home.”
Though you were unsure, the way he was looking at you right now that told you this wasn’t about a quick fling or proving a point.
For once, Gojo wasn’t trying to win. He was just trying.
You nodded before you could stop yourself. “Okay.”
*.·:·.☽✧✧☾.·:·.*
The walk back to your place was quiet, the night air cool against your skin as the sounds of the party faded into the distance.
Gojo stayed close, but not too close, his usual bravado tempered.
Every now and then his shoulder would brush against yours, and the touch was grounding, almost reassuring.
For once he wasn’t trying to impress you with flashy words or grand gestures. He was just there, walking next to you in comfortable silence.
When you finally reached your door you expected some kind of last-minute line, flirty and smooth to cap off the night. But Gojo surprised you.
“I meant what I said earlier,” he began, leaning against the doorframe as he looked down at you. “You’re different. You’re not like the others.”
You gave him a skeptical look, but he shook his head before you could say anything.
“I’m serious. I’ve never had to work this hard for anyone,” Gojo admitted. “And... I like that. You don’t care about any of the stuff most people do.”
There was a sincerity that made your heart skip a beat. He was letting his guard down, just a little, but it was enough to make you pause.
You didn’t know what to say at first, the usual walls you’d built around yourself trembling.
“A-and I know you think I'm saying this just to get in your pants or whatever,” Gojo interrupts before you can say anything, “but... it’s more than that. I like you. For real.”
You looked at him, really looked at him.
There was something real beneath it all and it scared you a little, because part of you had already started to fall for him—no matter how much you tried to fight it.
So instead of pulling away, you stepped closer.
“I’m still not convinced,” you say with a smile tugging at the corners of your lips. “But...maybe I’m willing to see where this goes.”
Gojo’s grin returned in full force, eyes lighting up with hope as he nodded. “That’s all I ask.”
He turned to leave, but before he did, he glanced back over his shoulder, playful grin returning. “I’ll see you tomorrow, right?”
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t help the warmth spreading through your chest. “Yeah, yeah. I’ll see you.”
The next morning, as you left class, you weren’t surprised to see Gojo standing outside with a smile.
Without a word, he fell in step beside you and handed over a cup of [beverage].
It wasn’t extravagant or flashy, just a simple cup of [beverage]—was exactly how you liked it.
You raised an eyebrow at him, taking a sip. “This is new.”
Gojo shrugged, his smile easy and warm. “Told you I’d convince you.”
You shook your head. Maybe, just maybe, Gojo Satoru wasn’t so bad after all.
And for the first time, you let yourself smile back.

SMILE FOR THE CAMERA!
02. day2.mp4
cws: as usual, weird yuta <3 implied fighting, mild injury !? somewhat graphic description of death(?) ^_^ // masterlist is linked in the title!
wc: 1.4k!
good morning, afternoon or evening, pretty! i don't know when exactly you'll be watching this, of course, but i do hope you've taken my advice and waited for the next day to watch this! if you're even alive by now, that is! some people just end up dying, y'know, it's crazy.
good morning, yuta okkotsu. wait— why'd you just wish the weird murderer a good morning in your head? is he turning you weird too?
we— i don't have a lot to do today, so we'll go shopping! i mean, i do have to get more food, and running from the authorities doesn't really classify as fun in my brain anymore.
they want to kill me again, i think... see, i'm not against them, the higher-ups, but you gotta go with the flow, y'know? stay on top no matter what. one day, i'll be on top. mark my— actually don't, who knows what'll happen? maybe i'll end up dead! hmm, cherry or peach?
he looks back at the camera.
i'm talking gummies here; my best friend liked the peach ones, but i like the cherry flavour.
a pause; yuta pouts.
if i'm being honest, i really do miss them a lot. but they just don't understand, y'know? "do good, you'll get done good." that's just not a real thing anymore. to get what you want, you have to break the rules sometimes. i guess i broke too many, and now i've basically lost all the people i care about.
the camcorder is set down somewhere, and yuta takes a step back. he holds up three packets of something called happy cherries.
how long d'you think they'll last? eh, whatever— oh, oh shit, wait—
the screen goes black. you hear hurried footsteps, probably belonging to yuta.
that'll be $14.99, sir.
here, keep the change.
thanks.
he begins walking again; his steps speed up until he's running. vague yelling can be heard in the distance before it all just— stops.
yuta comes back into frame. he is in front of a background that suspiciously looks like the sky and nothing else, and his hair whips about messily because of the wind. he barks out a short laugh, one without any humour in it, before his mouth is set in a thin line.
they're not above sending my own friends to kill me now, it seems. rika, can you hold this?
the camcorder appears to be removed from his hands; he rolls his shoulders lazily with a yawn.
too bad none of them are anywhere near as strong as me.
then he perks up.
oh! by the way, i'm flying right now! check it out!
the camera pans around to show that he is indeed moving in midair.
rika's carrying me right now, but she's a cursed spirit, so you can't see her through the camera. but if you're still watching this, that means you can see curses in general. i'll introduce you guys someday!
the camera comes back to yuta's face. he mutters something under his breath.
if they don't kill me before that, of course. but, if i'm being honest, there's probably a higher chance of you dying from... ah... natural causes in the near future than me getting murdered by my old friends.
as if he has not just dropped that terrifying bombshell, yuta continues talking with a smile.
our next stop is the convenience store near my place! i'm really craving some instant noodles right now.
unfortunately, you'll have to go in the bag now.
yuta pouts. the screen goes black after some rustling, and he begins to hum to himself. then:
salmon cod roe.
the fuck?
yuta (you assume) makes a sharp noise in his throat.
inumaki?
mustard leaf.
what are you worried about? i'm fine.
bonito flakes.
that's not true.
yuta's voice is harsh; he seems upset.
i don't want to hurt you, toge. you'd better leave, now.
bonito flakes.
the sound of a— katana? being withdrawn breaks the tense silence.
toge.
a pause.
rika!
don't move!
the two voices ring out at the same time.
with a sudden jolt, your body goes rigid, then slack. you feel... powerless. weak. you can't move. you try to wiggle your fingers, your toes— nothing. somehow, this sudden loss of bodily autonomy is much more chilling than the self-proclaimed murderer who lives in your garage-sale camcorder. the only movement right now is the steady rise and fall of your chest as you breathe; even then, it's relaxed, when you know you would be hyperventilating right now if things were under your control.
huh?
sorry, that doesn't work on me anymore.
silence. it feels like yuta and the other person— toge? are having a silent conversation.
i warned you.
a loud crash, more running.
and then— the sky clears. metaphorically, at least. it's as if you're suddenly aware of everything again, suddenly able to move.
the recording is obviously paused; the screen immediately cuts to yuta. blood dribbles down weakly from a cut above his eyebrow, and there is a bag of frozen peas pressed halfheartedly to his cheek. he looks bored.
welcome home. i mean, my home. for now. as you can see—
he shrugs.
—there wasn't much of a fight. of course, i went easy on him. even if we're on opposite— no, even if we're not on the same side anymore, he still matters a lot to me. i don't want him to die.
but i bet you still have a lot of questions about a lot of stuff. like, why am i so sure about the person i'm talking to right now? what if you were just some old guy?
see, i can explain all of that. i'm not stupid, y'know.
the atmosphere shifts, tenses—
i wouldn't encourage you to think otherwise.
—and goes back to normal..
wait, i'm too low on sugar to do this right now.
he gets up and disappears from view, before returning with one of the previously purchased jumbo bags of cherry-flavoured, cherry-shaped gummies.
i already had the other two, but it wasn't enough, apparently. it's getting late, though. i think i'll tell you everything — or almost everything — tomorrow.
until then, don't die. it'd be so disappointing if you did. i mean, i'd still send flowers to your funeral, of course! but people are so much more entertaining alive than dead, don't you think? although...
when i really dislike someone, i think the best part is when they're writhing and crying and begging to die, when they're dying but they're also not quite there yet.
the smile on his face is bone-chilling, but also oddly attractive. whoa, dude, what the hell? why'd you just think that? what is wrong with you?
yuta pops another gummy into his mouth. his eyes close in appreciation; he looks like an eager, adorable puppy, albeit a concerningly sleep-deprived one, as he chews with a truer smile than before.
mm, i think that's enough for today! as usual, watch the next one tomorrow! goodbye!
he blows a kiss at the screen and your heart skips a beat. you shut your laptop down and get up.
"rika, do you think i made the right choice with her?" yuta asks. he is holding a magazine that was published last month. it is opened to the twenty-third page, which greets him with the title, GOING ON AN INTERNET DETOX HIKE WITH MY BEST FRIEND.
he is looking at one of the pictures in particular, the only one that does not present the scenery of wherever the author went. instead, it is a photograph of two people. the author, and her best friend — you. you smile up at him — only him, he likes to think — so prettily. he really, truly, sincerely hopes you make it out alive. he thinks the two of you would get along great.
rika shakes her head vehemently with a high-pitched cry, and yuta's smile disappears, replaced by a sudden unnerving lack of emotion. "come now, rika, don't be like that. it can't just be the two of us forever."
rika makes another noise of protest; yuta waves her away before closing the magazine.
"whatever, everything will work out, won't it?"
though phrased like a question, it is obviously a statement. as if the only option is for all this to end well. and that isn't really an understatement, is it? yuta will do everything in his power to make sure it does. and the best part is— he's powerful enough to actually do it.

A Guide To Keeping Wyll And Karlach After Siding With Minthara In Act 1
Or as I like to call it, how to permanently recruit Karlach and Wyll (because I have yet to complete a full playthrough with both of them)
Ever since Larian added a way to legitimately recruit Minthara by knocking her out, I've wanted to help the community be more successful in their efforts to give my favorite drow yet another concussion. Because like all things related to Minthara, the KO method was buggy as hell, non-intuitive, and metagamey as fuck. I wrote multiple guides on it, to the point where I made the master post my pinned for a while. You may have seen it at some point, but here it is again for reference [x]
As happy as I am with the success of those posts, it's time I revealed my true alignment. I'm actually one of those scary Minthara stans who has killed the grove more times than siding with the tieflings. I know, you'd never guess by looking at my blog (don't look at my blog) I did it my first playthrough and it's only gotten easier since. And while I stand by it as the single best way to experience Minthara's character and story arc, I'm not so cold-hearted as to deny that it's a shame we miss out on Wyll and Karlach in the process.
So rather than play the villain, what say we have them stick around by taking on the REAL villains of Act 1:
The Druids
To start off, you'll want both Wyll and Karlach in your party, and Withers in camp. I've had him show up upon crossing one of the bridges in Act 1, either to the blighted village or the goblin camp, I forget which, or you can bust him out of his Dank™ crypt. Proceed through Act 1 as normal. To be safe I got as much approval from them as I could in early game, but that may not be necessary. Offer to kill Kagha for Zevlor.
Now, both of them need to die, and preferably not by the hand of your party members. I had them suicide charge the gnolls and get wrecked, as on Tactician mode they'll attack downed party members until they're dead. I don't know if having them jump off a cliff works, but it might. We need to entrust them to Withers by asking him to look after their bodies instead of reviving them. Their bodies will then appear in camp by their tents.
Now go kill Kagha without revealing the shadow druid conspiracy. This should trigger the Druids to start fighting the Tieflings, which will happen off screen as you deal with Kagha and the few druids inside with her (killing Nettie earlier might make this easier in case she joins in. She tried to poison you, so serves her right.)
Steal that idol! I'm not 100% sure this is required, but it takes no effort at this point and you need to sit tight for a minute, so might as well.
Also if you thought you could return the idol to Mol, no luck, she won't accept it until the fighting ends. Unfortunately all the tieflings need to die for this to work, so rip Ring of Protection. But not exactly rip the tiefling kids, more on that in a minute.
OOF, rip Dammon (and most of Karlach's questline. Don't look at me like that, it's Larian's fault for tying her entire story onto one npc and giving nothing as an alternative)
I'll give the tieflings credit, they did not go down without one hells of a fight. This bear was found burnt to death, probably due to Zevlor.
Damn, they really killed all of them. I wanna point out this can happen even on a good playthrough with the best of intentions.
In the end, only four(!) druids survived. I don't know how they'd fare with Kagha fighting too, but overall I'd say the druids talk big for doing this badly against a bunch of unarmed civilians. We kill the last four of them, then get ready to move on.
With trepidation, I go to check on the kids. Not recommended if you raid the grove for real, but here:
It's just... empty. No bodies, no npcs hanging around, they completely cleared out.
I like to headcanon that Mol followed through on protecting her kids, and they escaped down this hole. I'm still very early in this run used for testing, so I have legit no idea if they show up later. But this is good enough for me to include them all in my fanfiction so :D Congrats, the only tieflings with rights (sorry Karlach!) are gonna be alright (because if we don't see a body it doesn't count)
Next step is to just... keep going. Sazza can get you into the goblin camp no problem, and if you play a Drow or have Shadowheart use disguise self, you can gain entry without any checks or dialogue. My half elf needed to talk her way in (or just use AUTHORITY)
best goblin btw
MOMMY
Lookit how happy she is after Sazza has brought her the grove's location! A lead on the weapon AND another True Soul AND she's concussion-free? Everything's coming up Minthy!
It's at this point things get a little weird (I did warn ya), as the game now has flagged the grove as "raided" even though we haven't done an actual grove battle, which is a different thing (as I'll demonstrate later), so Shadowheart has her "post-raid" dialogue when we wake up on the next long rest. The Raid The Grove quest is also marked as Completed, but still has a marker on the map. Have patience, return to the grove and walk through the (destroyed) gate, and suddenly:
The quest will update, and direct you to speak with Minthara in the secluded chamber where she normally is at when the raid is finished. There's also goblins milling about the grove now, same as the post-raid grove.
Get someone who looks at you the way Minthara looks at a cave full of dead druids and tieflings.
"No Minthara, I never meant for any of this to happen. This was all my fault, I shouldn't have gotten involved, they're all dead because of me-"
"Nevermind I am no longer morally conflicted about all this."
To the goblin party!
LIES. He never mentions it again lmao. C'mon patch 7 fix this! (you won't)
Why we're all really here 🥰
The next morning, speak to Withers and ask to collect your dead party members. He will have you confirm payment for their resurrection.
And it works! Karlach and Wyll are back, they can rejoin the party, and their approval is Unchanged!
Since I was on a roll, I went ahead and checked a few other scenarios: what happens if we don't start a fight with the druids and just raid the grove directly, with Karlach and Wyll dead? Well you can revive them afterwards, but...
Dang, Wyll still leaves (he's still so nice about it though! Even wishes you well!)
Meanwhile Karlach: Feck off, cunt.
Well, she's not leaving, but she's never been this blunt or cold towards me before. I wonder how much-
Damn, -49?! That's literally one away from leaving permanently! She started at 50, which means Karlach looses 100 approval from raiding the grove, and being dead doesn't change that. I think the only reason she's at -49 instead of -50 is due to that +1 from reviving a party member. So, she's grateful for being brought back to life, but not happy about anything else. You know what, that's fair.
One last thing I tested (and no pics for it cause this post has reached its limit! But those extra pics of Sharp-Eye Sluck are important, so I'll just write this next part out) I wanted to see if it was even necessary to finish off the remaining druids after they killed all the tieflings. So I left the grove (manually, you have to journey quite a distance before it lets you fast travel, almost all the way to the first bridge) and headed to the goblin camp to start the raid as normal.
Like our first time, we arrive at an empty grove. Even the druids we left behind are gone, meaning you can safely headcanon this method as joining up with the goblins and Minthara to take revenge on the druids. The game still acts like you killed the tieflings though, down to Gale's threatening to leave.
But Karlach and Wyll still get brought back without a problem! You can even revive them DURING the goblin party and they'll act like nothing's happened!
Wyll And Karlach Recruited Alongside Raiding With Minthara: Success!
So Baldur's Gate 3 community! I now implore you to put down your Pommel Strikes, switch off that Non-Lethal toggle, and stop giving poor Minthara even more brain damage than the tadpole and the Absolute already gave her!
And when you reach Moonrise Towers to rescue her, for the love of Selûne, when the guards are torturing her in the prison, don't just swing on them. Agree to enter her mind first. You'll have a dicey roll to deal with, but trust me, it's SUPER worth it!
As for the whole process, well. Despite the clunky way quests update after you start the grove civil war, the resulting lack of direction and narrative inconsistencies in the dialogue post-goblin party, this still feels like a more immersive way to recruit Minthara on a run with both Karlach and Wyll still present, than the KO method, in my not-so-humble opinion.
Consider this: You've got a major twist in the Act 1 plot now, with the Druids turning on you and killing the tieflings you were trying to help, leaving your party dispirited and lacking direction, other than to continue their search for a cure, which leads them to meet the Absolutists, the goblins, and the drow commander leading them and looking for the druids' sanctuary. And in the midst of your grief and anger, you side with her, both to get close to the source of the infections (as the Dream Visitor suggests) but also to take your revenge out on the druids.
You can feel conflicted, regretful even, but the context has changed enough that I think even a good-aligned Tav with no qualms about methods can live with this result. It just takes a bit of filling in the gaps (do you simply point the goblin army at the druids and look away, or lead them yourself by Minthara's side? Either way works for the results)
The only real downside is, again, Karlach's story just sorta ends here, until the confrontation with Gortash. I personally think this is a problem with Larian's writing for her, and at this point fanfiction is about the only solution in sight. But if you don't mind her not getting the chance to touch others again, you really have nothing to lose here
Besides, were you really going to pay Dammon for that act 3 armor? Of course not, you steal it every run and don't pretend otherwise, "hero."

Can I ask you to do a post about Disney & disability please? You mentioned it and I’d love to know more!
Well, my notifications can't get any messier, so why not?
This post got very, very long because I ended up talking about a lot of the accessibility solutions in detail (and... ranting about how accessibility at Universal was so bad that I got physically injured there) so I'm putting it under a cut for you.
To preface this, I have mobility issues (as well as a lot of food intolerances/allergies) and general chronic illness, my sister is Deaf, and I have friends who regularly attend the park with autistic family members with high support needs. These are the disabilities I have experience with, so while I've heard a bit about others (such as portable descriptive devices for visitors with visual impairments) I can't speak as much about those accommodations.
I have also traveled quite a bit, mostly as a disabled adult. I can work from anywhere and my family enjoys traveling, so I've been very lucky in this regard. I also used to live in central Florida, not too far from Disney, and benefited from their FL resident rates.
So I'm coming at this from a person who has a lot of experience traveling while disabled and a fair amount of experience going to WDW, though I haven't been nearly as often since I moved out of Florida.
(Good fucking riddance.)
So know that I am speaking from experience when I say I have never, without exception, been to a single place half as accessible as Walt Disney World. It is literally the reason my family would go there; it was one of the only places we could all safely go together. One of the only places I've been on earth that even approached their level of thoughtful accommodations is Barcelona, which apparently did significant renovations throughout the city in order to prepare for the 1992 Paralympics.
(Hey, if anyone is reading this from Barcelona: I teared up the first time I used one of your curb cuts in my wheelchair, just so you know.)
Going through those parks in a wheelchair is a breeze, though you will probably have to fight a lot of clueless parents with strollers who are hellbent on using resources intended for wheelchair-users and then glaring at you when you try to use them yourself. Level ground, spacious sidewalks, accessible transportation, well-kept gradual ramps, roomy buildings, lots of accessible restrooms, alternate entrances at many rides for wheelchair users, special wheelchair rows in movie theaters that we're loaded into first, accessible queues in most rides designed or renovated in the last fifteen years, special viewing areas for shows/parades/fireworks so you don't end up staring at able-bodied butts for a half hour...
Like, structurally-speaking, the parks are very easy to get around in if you're a wheelchair user. That was built in and you can see a lot of very mindful design choices. As far as the rides go, most of their rides actually have special cars that you can load into while still in a wheelchair. They're pretty neat. I can transfer, but that means often leaving my wheelchair and/or cane with a cast member during the ride. They are always, without fail, waiting for me on the other side of the ride, no matter how far the exit is from the entrance. I have never once had a problem with this. A cast member will be there to put my assistive devices in my hand before I even have to think about getting up. Guaranteed.
Wheelchair users always used to be able to skip the line, but there was unfortunately a problem with able-bodied people pretending to be disabled to skip lines (because god forbid they not have access to a single thing we have to make our lives livable) so now there's a system where if you cannot wait in a line, they'll basically give you a special time to come back that's equivalent to the length of the line. Which feels fair to me as someone who often cannot be in even an accessible line for extended periods. (I have problems with sunlight, heat, and often need emergency food or restroom.)
More important than all this, though, is the fact that cast members are impeccably well-trained in all of this. Any disabled person can tell you that the most accessible design on earth isn't worth shit if the people working there aren't well-trained. (More on this later, when I take a giant shit on Universal Studios.) But Disney trains their employees, many of whom are disabled themselves, incredibly well.
Every employee will know where the accessible entrances are. Every employee will know the procedure for getting a return time. Every employee will know about first-aid centers, and every employee will know where the quiet areas are for people with sensory issues. Every time you make a reservation for a meal, hotel room, transportation, etc. they will ask for all accessibility needs and they'll be ready for you.
Every waiter you have will be incredibly careful and knowledgeable when it comes to special dietary needs, and chefs will often come out to discuss them with you. They often have specific menus for different dietary needs, and they are scrupulous when it comes to allergens. I have a few intolerances that suck and allergies that could kill me and I have always felt very safe in their hands. This ranges from fancy sit-down restaurants to quick service burger places.
And -- honestly, I have just always been treated with respect. I know that sounds like a low bar, but most people do fail to clear it. Disney has their employees very well-trained on how to interact with disabled guests. People speak directly to me, never to the able-bodied people over my head. They never treat me like I'm a child. They never ask invasive questions or make uncomfortable jokes. They never, ever get impatient with my accessibility needs.
The few times I have misjudged things and have injured myself or gotten extremely ill, they were professional and caring as they provided much-needed first-aid. It's kind of embarrassing to be doted on by a costumed character while you wait for a doctor to come help you sit up again, but also kind of endearing, I'll admit.
They also, in addition to captioning all videos in the park, have some of the best sign language interpreters in the world, bar none. They're very personal and professional, they're easy to reserve, they will always be in a visible place during shows, and they're incredible performers as well as being very technically proficient. In addition to the professional interpreters, many cast members, performers, and characters can sign as well.
In addition to that, and this brings me to my next point, you'll meet a lot of disabled employees throughout the park. In front-facing positions. Deaf employees, employees using mobility aids, etc. They're well-known to hire disabled people and treat them well. This is. Fuck, this is incredibly rare, I say as someone who was never able to find a job in Florida with my health conditions. It's the moral thing to do to hire disabled people, but also -- selfishly, there's something so heartening and normalizing about seeing people who look like you working at the park. I'm happy every single time.
I have a little less personal experience when it comes to accessibility for neurodivergence, despite being neurodivergent myself, but I've been told that Disney is very, very accommodating for people on the spectrum. A lot is done to lessen crowding, waiting, sensory overload, etc. for autistic guests. Cast members are usually super good at this; finding designated quiet areas, helping autistic guests avoid more crowded areas, keeping them out of long lines, making sure they have access to any particular experiences that are special to them, etc.
For folks who need help from their group, whether that's an autistic child who needs to be with a parent or a disabled adult who needs someone to push their wheelchair or anything else, Disney has a rider switch-off model. In other words, if you're there with both of your able-bodied parents, for example, and you need one of them to be with you at all times and you don't want to be on the ride yourself, Disney will allow one person to go on the ride while the other waits for them to finish, then will allow the second person to go on without any additional wait. This makes sure that everyone in the family gets equal access without leaving disabled people alone. (Which... can be a very shitty feeling, I assure you.)
I know that Disney has also pioneered a lot of assistive technology. The accessible rides, obviously, which can be ridiculously cool (like Toy Story Midway Mania has an accessible car with alternative "guns" for people with dexterity limitations so they can play the carnival games as well) but also handheld assistive devices for visually impaired guests, etc. Like they are literally inventing new forms of accessibility technology, which is so cool.
And honestly, I'm always learning about new ways they assist disabled guests. I've stayed in Disney's accessible hotel rooms before (they're very nice!) but I don't like to swim so I've never been in the pools. But even just this week, someone told me that Disney has pool lifts for disabled guests, which I had never even considered. That's so cool.
The best part about accessibility at Disney is that in some ways it's very casual. A lot of their design decisions are so intuitive that you never even notice how accessible the parks are until you go somewhere where that's... not the case.
Like -- just so you don't assume that any of these things are industry standard, let me tell you about the two times I went to Universal, a park very close to Disney. I went there once for an event and once with my family.
The first time I went was for an event at the opening of the Harry Potter park. (This was before JKR made her most appalling views public, to be clear.) It... was frustrating. Guests asked if there would be food and drink available for people with special dietary restrictions (such as sugar-free butterbeer) and were pretty much told that no, that was not something they were interested in pursuing. It became very obvious very quickly that the park itself was so narrow that it only barely fulfilled ADA standards -- when empty. We were told that JKR had actually specifically insisted that it feel "cramped". Which is a nice way to say that I couldn't actually get around in any of the stores while people were in them.
It was overall a frustrating experience, but it was like. One night. I figured it was probably a fluke and they were still ironing out all the details. So I ended up going back with my parents later.
Y'all, it was a shit show.
Broken elevators that prevented disabled guests from accessing rides. Performers being up on raised platforms/sidewalks so disabled guests couldn't get to them. Sidewalks being made inaccessible by putting movable signs directly in the middle of them. Stores (even outside of the HP part) that were so damn narrow that I actually ended up getting hurt trying to navigate one of them. And no -- it was not easy to get first aid.
And my god, was the training bad. We went to one of the new HP rides, asked if there was a specific entrance for disabled guests. We were told no. We waited for a very long time in a line that honestly I shouldn't have been waiting in, but I wanted to be a good sport. I was pretty sick by the time we got through it, and the line itself had some very dangerous inclines/turns for wheelchair users. We get to the front of the line -- and the employee asks why we didn't just use the accessible entrance. 🙃
(Side note: several of their rides are also just unrideable if you don't fit within a pretty narrow body type of thin and able-bodied, so... there's that.)
We'd asked repeatedly and gotten incorrect answers, and I'd been put in physical danger as a result. Wild. I started to notice that if you asked different employees, you'd get different answers about almost anything, really. Just exceptionally poor training. Even stuff that should've been a no-brainer, like loading wheelchair users into a stationary movie theater, ended up creating chaos when they did it incorrectly and we had a giant wheelchair pileup.
Like -- let me stress to you that many of the things that happened could have caused actual injury to people. Some of these situations were dangerous. And some of them were just alienating, like when I'd have to wait outside a store while my family could go in.
I never went back after that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ We just kept going to Disney.
One thing that'll probably show how good Disney is at accessibility is the whole Make-A-Wish thing. A lot of people know that it's a popular Make-A-Wish request, and you're likely to see at least a couple kids with Make-A-Wish buttons during your visit if you keep an eye out. One reason for this, is that, y'know, Disney World is fun. Kids want to go there. But more important, I think, is that Disney can accommodate people with at-times severe medical needs. Those kids can safely go anywhere and do anything in those parks that able-bodied kids can, and that's important.
All in all, the parks are just so accessible and you will never, ever be made to feel like you're lesser for needing those accommodations. You will be treated so well and you will not have to worry about accessibility because the cast members are always doing it for you. They'll usher you into the correct entrance as soon as they see a mobility device, and they'll do it with a very warm welcome. It's one of the very few places on earth where I have never felt like a burden.
Again, y'know, I know that Disney does not have a perfect track record on a lot of issues. I would never defend them from rightfully earned criticism. I strongly support labor action against them, and I do think they should be criticized whenever they fuck up. I have been uncomfortable with the sheer amount of power they have both in Florida and in the entertainment world just because no one should have that much power. But I am far more uncomfortable with that power being stripped away for blatantly discriminatory political reasons.
I do have some loyalty to Disney just because there is no other place on earth where I've been able to safely have fun with my friends with so little agony. That's... I mean, it's important, really. To be able to just exist in public without getting grief for it. And I have some loyalty to them because they were a safe space for me as a young, queer kid who was not safe being out in other areas of my life.
(Like, I am talking about actual literal safety. I kept seeing notes on my post saying that Disney didn't care about creating a "safe space for queer people" but as someone who lived in Florida for the entirety of my teenage years? It was the safest goddamn place there.)
I do not have enough loyalty to defend them when they do immoral bullshit, but I do have enough to make sure that people know the good that they do as well.
I want other businesses to follow Disney's model for disability. I will praise them forever for what they've done in that regard because if I don't, there's no reason for other companies to follow suit. I want to praise them for the good things they've done so they have incentive to keep doing it, and other companies have an incentive to do it as well.
Like bro, I just wanna be able to move around and be treated with some dignity, y'know? My bar is so low. lmao
But yeah. That's why you always see so many disabled guests at Disney. It's literally the only place some of us can go to have fun.
#disney#disability#ableism#replies#honestly I used to go to the parks a lot but I wouldn't presently consider myself a superfan of disney or anything#but goddamn it sometimes you just wanna be able to go out and do the same things as everybody else#and disney always let me do that

RAIN WORLD : ROLESWAP !!
i wanted to explore an au where pebbles is swapped with sig , instead of the usual pebbles-moon swap :3 i hope you enjoy this au i accidentally created because i listened to laplace's angel for too long and was plagued by visions during the tender hours of 10 to 11 pm
the main focus of this au !! yeay !! sig accidentally kills suns out of desperation to reach A Goal ( i don't know what it is yet ) and pebbles attempts to save them by sending a care package . sig is much younger here and his personality reflects that , being bitter and stubborn and a sarcastic little shit , though he ends up calming down and resembling his canon self a little more as his can slowly rots . he was built as a sort of backup iterator in case suns' cooling systems were to fail entirely . pebbles is calmer and more level-headed , showing the same warmth and kindness he did during his canon rivulet campaign state , but ends up snapping from stress anyways and isolating himself permanently .
moon becomes an outsider to the local group , yet retains a close friendship with pebbles and being a mentor figure to sig . she sends sig illegal information during his time of need and quickly regrets it . suns becomes the group senior , built in a naturally cold environment to combat their subpar cooling tech . sig's excessive heat output threw the nearby climate into chaos and caused suns to collapse from overheating .
this one's a bit of a weird one !! hunter is now the cancerous growth slowly killing sig from the inside , his very own version of rot . it looks the same as pebbles' rot in canon , but with pinkish accents instead of dark blue accents . pebbles' rot is now a carnivorous slugcat messenger named the outlaw (?) , created by pebbles to send aid to suns . their creation process was rushed which led to them developing a terrible illness , locking them into an unfortunate demise .
spearmaster is now a random wild slugcat , weirdly mutated by natural means somehow . they stumble into sig's decaying can and retrieve his last rarefaction cell to give to suns , later becoming suns' companion . rivulet is now a genetically engineered messenger made by moon to be swift and nimble , their gills and swimming expertise letting them traverse moon's watery surroundings with great ease . they were used once to deliver the illegal information to sig , and once again to send an apology to him , which he angrily denied .
the green pup ( yet to be named ) gets separated from their family because of a scavenger-related incident . the blue pup , now named the scholar , bravely sets off in search of them . the two are related to artificer as colonymates . survivor and monk both perish from a terrible storm , getting carried away by the rain and doomed to drown . the two are related to gourmand directly .
artificer is now the leader of the slugtree colony , depicted in legends as a fierce brave warrior capable of taking on any challenge . their journey involves searching for a pair of lost pups , dodging hits from suspicious scavengers along the way . gourmand is now the unfortunate parent of survivor and monk , losing two of their pups to the unforgiving rain . they run down the path of greed and bind themselves to gluttony , endlessly searching for power so they can never lose anything again .
AUGHHHH !!!!!
i haven't thought of what to do with saint , sliver , wind , or innocence yet !!! i might swap wind and innocence if i don't see any better options . and if i feel silly enough i might swap saint with sliver
idk if i wanna add nightcat and enot into this au , but if i do they'll probably get swapped with each other too unless i run into any cooler alternatives
gourmand's story is a little bit scuffed BHJDSHF i'm sticking with them getting locked at karma 4 like arti's canon karma lock but i don't have much that builds off of it right now . oopsie
their ages / spots in the timeline have been swapped around too ! pebbles and moon are now both gen 2 , while suns and sig are gens 1 and 3 respectively . the slugcats follow the timeline of whoever they're swapped with ( rivulet is the first campaign , gourmand goes right after , then the outlaw (?) , etc )
i WILL be tweaking the designs for these guys ( especially the iterators since i have specific generation-based design conventions for them and All Of Them would be breaking those conventions if i let them keep their usual designs ) but i am Not That Good at spontaneous character design so i will be doing that !! later !!!
if you guys wanna send asks about this au or talk to me about it then go ahead bc it's been rotating in my head like crazy pleasepleaselpaseplepalseplaseple /silly

Dating the main Baki cast HCs
Continuing on with these because... idk, I can't find many that I really like.
Baki:
You two would probably get together sometime after Kozue has had enough with his constant putting his life on the line and in danger.
He's not a good boyfriend, but he's not a bad one either. He's really only had experience with Kozue, and even then, they weren't really together for a really long time.
He's either very present or very absent, there is no in-between. Be prepared to be put on a back burner if he wants to train to defeat a strong opponent or just because he yes he absolutely needed to spend an entire month training up in the middle of nowhere.
He does try and be present for you though, he likes to show his partner that he cares and appreciates them. A lot of making food and cuddling whenever he's not obsessively training or getting ready for a fight.
Introduce this man to ASMR and he will absolutely melt tbh, he's already super chill, ASMR would just amplify that level of chill. Once you introduce the concept of a self-care night, he'll be fully on-board.
"Hey baby, are you ready for our quiet night in? The blankets are fresh out of the dryer, they'll be nice and warm."
Kozue:
You two would probably get together a while after she dumps Baki because that boy gives her too much stress to date, but she can indeed keep him as a friend. Let me tell you that the relief of having someone less likely to get themselves killed by being an idiot from planet strong does wonders for this girl.
A lot of average and basic dates, but that's okay, she doesn't need anything fancy as long as you have a good time. It's about the quality with her, and some good quality time is all she needs.
Self care is really important to her, considering she spends a lot of time studying and doing extra-curricular activities (as well as worrying about Baki's dumbass), so playing with her hair during down time or even a little shoulder massage while she's studying goes a long way with her.
High-key needs someone who can reassure her that she's doing the right thing or validate her worries and not make her feel like she's crazy or over reacting about something that stresses her out.
Pamper the hell out of her, this girl deserves it. Get her some cozy pajamas and a nice fluffy blanket, drag her into bed and watch a movie or her favourite idols performing live before bed, help this girlie pop relax after a stressful week.
"Yeah, maybe I shouldn't have crammed that project, I mean, it's not due for another while. Thanks for the help!"
Hanayama:
He met you at a bar, and the man absolutely did not waste any time expressing that he was interested. Unfortunately for him, he's basically physically unable of being suave or subtle, so he absolutely fumbled the bag in the beginning.
Don't expect him to have any idea what he's doing in the beginning, he'll be awkward and confused about what he's doing with you, a lot of just straight up staring at you and than saying something that is (probably) really weird or rude. It takes a while for things to click with him, but once they do and he figures out what sort of things you like, he's actually a pretty good partner.
He's actually really sweet once he figures out what you like. Do you like quality time? Yeah, he can do quality time once in a while, just don't expect him to appreciate it if you ask him to snuggle while he's in front of his underlings. He has a reputation to uphold you know.
He absolutely loves showing off how strong he is for you. Need that jar opened? No problem, he's got it. Just make sure you have a spare container handy for whatever is inside. You want him to help you reach something? Yeah, he can do that, up you go. Anyone bugging you? Not anymore. As a matter of fact, they're never seen again, and if they are, it's definitely in worse shape then they were last.
He's theoretically a great listener, but whether or not he's actually listening to you is a 50/50, because he might just be lost in his own head. He doesn't talk a lot, but when he does speak his mind, you should probably listen, because he doesn't really confide in a lot of people.
He'll absolutely spoil you to show off, but then sometimes he'll get you small, really thoughtful gifts that he knows you'll like. Did your favourite necklace go missing? Don't worry, he's gotten it cleaned, fixed and polished, he's got it in his back pocket in a box so he can give it to you later.
"Hey, I've got somethin' for ya. Turn around and close your eyes, trust me, you'll like this one."
Katsumi:
Honestly, you either met him while just out and about and saw him with the Shinshinkai karate boys, or you met him while you were just out and about. Either way, it's one of those situations where you wind up having no clue how you bagged this one.
He's absolutely the kind of guy to be able to charm your socks (and pants) off but he does it with pure intentions. He just wants to make sure that you know he has eyes only for you.
He absolutely uses his parent's relationship to judge if he's doing things right. Do you look at him the same way his mom looks at his dad? No? Well, looks like he needs to work harder then, because that's absolutely how he wants his pookie to look at him.
You know those giant plush teddy bears? Yeah, so does he. He would absolutely get you one. He would also crawl inside said teddy bear and surprise you, especially if you've had a rough day. So if he asks you to go grab something from the store, then be very suspicious.
Absolutely the kind of guy to cuddle you while you both sleep. He'll wake up a few minutes early just so he can spend some time cuddling you before he gets up to work out. Lots of sleepy kisses and little mumbled I love you's while he rubs your back or plays with your hair.
"Hey precious, good morning. Did you sleep okay? The sun's not up yet, we can stay in bed a little bit longer."
Jack:
Honestly, you likely met him while he was out and about, likely at a restaurant or while he was at the gym, and he probably ignored you the entire time, the man is incredibly used to having to ignore people staring at him, but he's not very used to those stares being literal heart eyes.
He's oddly enough a more competent partner than Baki, but not by a lot. He'll give you attention, sure, but you aren't really a priority in his eyes, just a nice bonus that makes life more enjoyable for him. He'll at least pause his training and workouts to give you a small kiss on the forehead or to look at you while you're talking to him.
Definitely not perfect, he's a stubborn man, and while he'll usually give in to some requests of yours. He's not going to ease up on his training, and he's not going to stop taking steroids, but he will at least refrain from taking them in front of you, and he'll at least bring water with him while he trains.
Katsumi has lazy mornings, but Jack has lazy nights. After his night-time run, supper and a shower, he's perfectly happy to curl up and laze around with you until one or both of you falls asleep.
His voice gets really rumbly when he's tired or right after he's woken up, so talking to him when he's right on the cusp of sleep winds up in him mumbling back to you, not even bothering to open his eyes unless it's just stupid enough.
He's more used to violence, so gentle touches absolutely make him shiver. If you gently scratch the back of his man's neck right at the base of his skull you can knock him out in under five minutes. He can't even complain, it probably helps with his back pain, and he's not above returning the favour.
This man radiates heat too, so a movie night in bed while it's chilly out is just pure bliss with him, because he'd absolutely start tracing little shapes on your back and thighs.
"Hey darlin', c'mere, you're gonna get cold all the way over there. The bed's warm and it's gettin' kinda late."
Kosho:
You probably saw him doing something dumb and dangerous (cough cough standing in front of a charging bull cough cough) and he somehow managed to not die??? And you also managed to not die??? Impressive.
He's not a distant partner, but he's not very close either. He doesn't want you to be seen as a potential weakness for him, but he also wants to brag about you because you're just so gorgeous and precious, and he's absolutely head over heels.
If you like taking care of your hands, that's something he'll have in common with you. His hands and feet are some of his greatest weapons, his fingers and nails especially. Give him a manicure and he will both kill and die for you.
Treating his greatest weapons with such care and gentleness is a surefire way to show that you care about him and his training. Show this man some love, he deserves it.
Playfully bullying each-other is a very large aspect of the relationship most likely, he is a younger sibling, he's gotta get that younger sibling energy out somehow, but he won't cross the line, he's not trying to be mean.
"Yeah yeah, and you're the president of the United States. Should I follow you around everywhere you go like a lovesick puppy to make sure you don't get kidnapped?"
Kureha:
You most likely met him at work, in school, or at the gym. And like most other people, you probably thought that he was really charming and well-spoken. Until you got to know him a little bit better and realized that he's just a straight up bitch.
Unlike Kosho, who playfully teases you, Kureha will sometimes actively be mean to you. If you can roll with the punches though, you'll be surprised to find that he'll start showing you that he doesn't actually mean anything by his snarky comments.
No, he will not let you play with his hair, absolutely not, that is his and his alone. You can look at it though. And don't use his shampoo either. Sure it smells good, of course it does. It's his.
I hope you don't mind messes either, because this man is either one of the neatest people alive, or one of the messiest. I'm talking just walking away from whatever he's doing for hours on end because he got called away to do something, or got the sudden urge to go workout again.
He's also a wild sleeper, so for the first little bit you'll get some good sleep, but once he gets into a deeper sleep you're probably going to get kicked or rolled around.
If you somehow manage to sleep through that, then his fifteen billion alarms are probably going to wake you up. You will not be in a normal sleeping position, because he'll have moved you around in his sleep.
He doesn't really cuddle, but he will let you curl up to him. He likes feeling how much more delicate you are than he is. He's also the kind of guy to just grab your hand and look at it for a little while, doing all sorts of random stuff like posing your fingers or bending your wrist.
"You do know that you've got some of the worst circulation that I've ever seen, right? Your fingers are always so cold, go stick them under some hot water before you give me hypothermia."
Retsu:
It's a case of right place right time with this one, because as far as you were concerned, you were just going to go get some groceries, and now there is a wall of man asking you if you know where they moved the seasoning to.
Very much an old man when it comes to love. He'll take you out on several dates before he actually asks you to be his partner. Not like, six or seven dates, nono, enough dates to just assume that you were already official.
Even when you are dating, this man is going to be working hard to properly court you. Do you want a quiet night in? He'll clean the place up, cook some dinner and set up some nice music so you can have a relaxing atmosphere.
He's also the kind of person to just spontaneously go on a walk. Sitting inside all day when there's good weather is such a waste of a good day, why not go walk through the park to go see the ducks or watch other people having a good time?
A few months into actually dating, he'll just sorta start reading you poetry. Really beautiful poetry too. The man has such a relaxing voice that he could probably soothe you to sleep. Ask him to read you a story during a rainy day and you'll be snoring before he finishes the first chapter.
"Did you want some more tea before I begin? How about a blanket? Alright, let's see what we have here."
Doppo:
Honestly, the only way I can see Doppo getting into a relationship with someone is if Natsue passes away, and even then, he probably wouldn't, but HYPOTHETICALLY, if he did, it would be with someone closer to his own age, he wouldn't want to feel like a cradle-snatcher.
We all know how devoted he is to Natsue, if he falls for you he'll fall HARD, anything you want, you can get it, just say the words. Hell, you don't even have to say the words, if he catches you looking at something for a while with that look of want in your eyes, expect it to be placed into your hands on your next date night.
Speaking of date nights, those happen frequently. He wants to make sure you know just how loved and valued you are, so he's taking you out every weekend for a nice quiet dinner somewhere cozy and pretty.
Expect for him to teach you a thing or two about self-defense. He may be your Superman, but he's not always right by your side, and he wants to know that you're safe.
Katsumi is pretty chill, so he wouldn't exactly mind another parental figure in his life either. Which is good, because Doppo does care about his son, and if Katsumi is against you being with him, he'll be stuck between a rock and a hard place.
He holds your hands a lot. When you're walking, sitting together, laying down to go to sleep, he just likes holding your hands and calling you pretty.
He's a suave mf, he knows how to compliment someone to get their heart fluttering. He'll look you dead in the eyes and give you the most thoughtful, love-filled compliment anyone has ever given you, and he won't stop until you make him shut up.
"Honey, you are the most stunning person I know. I'm lucky that you chose me, because your love is like standing in sunshine, like walking on a cloud."
Shibukawa:
I just can't see him getting involved with someone much younger than him honestly. Just imagining him with a sweet older partner that he can just sit and exist with and talk about life is just such pleasant imagery for me.
Someone who understands all his old aches and pains, and is there to support him through it. He's not decrepit, mind you, he's still pretty spry for a man in his mid seventies, so if anything, he's the one taking care of you.
He loves his early mornings, drinking tea and watching the sun rise, listening to the birds and the sounds of nature before the city comes to life, probably sitting out on a patio, just the two of you.
A lot of mischief. He's a mischievous old man, and you'd probably have to reign him in, he's not as spry as the youngsters he pranks after all, and sometimes someone needs to remind him to slow down a little sometimes.
He probably has a collection of all of his glass eyes, divided between old broken ones and new unused ones, all the way from his first one to the newest ones that he's had made. It pays to have spares.
You know the old people who pop out their dentures to scare kids? Yeah he does that with his eye, and you'd be left either trying to comfort this poor traumatized child or scold him so the parents don't get too upset. You can laugh about it later, don't worry, he certainly will be.
"Oh nonsense! That little brat needed to have a good scare, did you see the way he was treating his parents? It's just a glass eye, give him a few years and that'll be one of the coolest things he's ever seen!"

Can I have a fic where reader is pregnant by her ex and Robin is the mother who stepped up?
Teen Pregnancy Series | Robin Buckley x Reader
Notes: Of course! I had so much fun writing this. I don't think the ending is quite what you imagined, but I like happy endings way too much. I hope you enjoy it regardless :)
Warnings: None, I think
Word Count: 3.8k
You really didn't know who else to turn to. Unfortunately, nothing was more important to you than your social status, and if you were to talk about it with any of your friends that would be ruined. It already took a blow after your ex-boyfriend Chance dumped you, but that was bearable. Being pregnant would be your ruin.
"Hey, do you have some time to talk?", you asked Robin who stood behind the counter of the video store she worked at. Robin wasn't particularly a close friend, but you considered her a friend since the band kids and cheer squad were close enough. Plus, you two worked on a good amount of presentations in middle school and high school, and it always went well. Plus, you had a ton of fun together once the work was finished. "Uuuh...sure, yeah. Steve? Steve!" She yelled for her coworker and friend Steve Harrington to take over before taking you to the back.
"What's up?" You were both sitting on a very ragged couch that was for the staff to take their breaks on. "I don't really know how to say it, so I'll just show you." You took three positive pregnancy tests in a ziploc bag out of your pocket and put in on the cushion between you two. "Wow, oh...okay.", Robin stuttered. She was really bad in social situations to begin with, so this was a whole other level. "Does, uh...Chase know?" She then continued to ask. You shook your head no. "He's the last one I wanted to tell. He wasn't exactly kind when he broke up with me, so this will be worse."
"Why'd he break up anyways?", Robin asked, now curious. News spread through the school like a wildfire, but the reason as to why was kept hidden. "Robin, you're going to think I'm an awful person, but I promise I had a good reason." As much as Robin hated to admit it, she loved hearing gossip even if she didn't want to be included in the actual drama going on. "He was kind of...a casualty to get popular.", you admitted. "And he found out I was only with him for popularity, but I promise Robin, that was a lie and I used it to cover a better reason." The confusion was written on her face as she pieced together the information. "Wait...what?", she finally asked. After a deep breath in, swallowing down tears, you started explaining. "I got together with Chase to cover up a secret. But I also kind of did it to gain more popularity, even though that wasn't my ulterior motive. But he thinks I only did it for popularity, which is why he broke up." Her face showed that she had a hard time processing the information you were giving her, but after a while it seemed to make sense in some way. "Sooo...what can I do for you?"
"I...don't really know. Just needed to talk to someone I guess...I couldn't even tell my parents yet..." She thought about her next words for a while. "Maybe I can...come with? If you want?" It was clear that it would he an absolutely awkward moment for her, but she truly wanted to be there for you. And in all reality, she's had a minor crush on you since middle school, so this also seemed like a selfish but working way to get to know you more. "That would actually be nice...although I should probably see a doctor before, because they'll think it's a prank otherwise."
"Then we'll do that. I'll come with."
"Really?", you asked. That was too much to ask for, but Robin seemed determined. "Yeah, I'll come with and we'll look at the..." She did her best to find the right word. "Baby inside you. Whenever your appointments is."
"Thank you, Robin. That's really sweet of you." And that rung in her ears for the rest of the week.
"There's the head...and the feet..." your gynecologist showed you on the ultrasound. "And here's the hands. Very normal for five months." Your eyes went wide in shock. "Five months?!" Robin and you shared a look that read the exact same thought: How the hell could you not have known for four months?
"What, I mean...how? I had my period and everything, and my stomach is still flat as ever." She gave you tissue to clean your stomach from the jelly with while explaining. "There can be many reasons. If you've had irregular periods or take birth controll pills, it can go unnoticed. Especially with your first pregnancy, since you don't know what it feels like to be pregnant. And to not showing, that's not uncommon too and has many reasons." She typed on her computer a bit and you heard a printer going on. "Listen, you're still young. At five months, there's nothing anyone could do to help you out of it. But I can provide you with resources for help." You nodded your head while silently pulling your pants back up. "Thank you.", you said to her before leaving the doctors office with Robin and your sonogram in hand.
"I'm so screwed.", you mumbled after both car doors were closed. "I have four months to prepare for a whole baby. I'm so fucked, Robin." You started chewing your bottom lip, a bad habit you always had when you were anxious. "Stop that.", Robin said with a light tap to your chin. "I'm not the most optimistic person, maybe even very pessimistic sometimes." Robin quickly realized that this wasn't helping. "But it's gonna be fine. I have a feeling. Trust me."
Against all odds, it was fine. While your parents were shocked, they saw your tears, how lost you were, that you had to go this by yourself. All they saw was their little girl who needed her parents.
"Thank you so much, Robin.", you mother told her while pulling her into a very sudden hug. "Truthfully, I'm so glad she has you. You're an angel." You stood by the door, carkeys in hand waiting for your mother to finish. Since Robin didn't have a car or a licence, you told her you'd drop her off at home. "Mom.", you said in an slightly embarrassed tone. Eventually, you did her Robin into your car and started it.
"I'm so sorry about her, she does that sometimes." But your friend just laughed. "It's fine. I'm really happy that they were so nice about it." Her house wasn't far from yours, so the drive only took five minutes. "If you need help with anything else, I'm always here. Like, with the nursery. We can make such a good nursery for whatever your baby will be. I might not look like it, but I'm really, really good with decorations." She went on and on about how she could make the perfect nursery with you, but you felt bad. That secret you've been keeping would be a reason for her to stay away from you, or even gossip about it. But she deserves to know before getting too involved with you and your baby. Meanwhile Robin, she was feeling ecstatic about being so close to you right now. Not just on a physical level, but mentally too. She went to see your baby with you for the first time, told your parents, and now you're making plans about a nursery. Like a real couple would.
"Robin, I have to admit something.", you said as you parked outside her house. Her head turned towards you. "I'm only telling you this because it would be unfair for you to get too involved in all of this without knowing. And since I'll be an outcast anyways, it doesn't really matter if people know anyways." After a deep breath in, you started explaining: "The secret I was trying to cover up with Chase is that...I-I don't actually like guys...you know, that way." It was music to Robins ears. In fact, it was so great that she started grinning.
"We're in the same boat, (Y/N)."
"No Steve, you don't understand.", Robin went on. "She's involving me like a stepmom. We talked about baby names and that she wants me there when she finds out the gender." She hasn't stopped talking about you to Steve ever since you told her you like girls. He kept telling her to just ask you out, but she insisted that it might ruin the friendship if you didn't like her back. Robin was so deep in her vent that she didn't realise that you walked through the door.
"She took you shopping for maternity clothes and had you in the changing room with her. In which universe is that not a clear sign?", Steve said to her in a slightly aggravated tone. "If I tell her I like her, I might ruin everything. And she needs someone to help her with the baby!", Robin argued back. By now, you were standing behind the counter with Robins back turned to you. "A girlfriend would be even better for the baby.", you said shamelessly. Robin turned around and looked at you in horror. "Where did you come from?" was the only thing she could get out. You laughed a bit. "I would love to go out with you. If you're fine with a baby being part of the deal."
Robin ran around the counter and pulled you into a hug. You did have a slight bump at this point, but not big enough to be too much apart from you.
"Yes, absolutely! There's nothing I would love more than that!
"You just...tell him.", Robin suggested while brainstorming ideas on how to finally tell Chase. "Helpfull.", you commented while resting the back of your head against your carseat. "Well, what do you want me to say? Because realistically, there isn't really another way to do it. He's not happy with you right now, and I doubt he ever will be. Plus, you said you have nothing to loose anymore, so you might as well take the blow now." You knew Robin was right. "Alright, let's go."
She stayed with you when you walked up to Chase. For once, he was alone by his locker. But he quickly closed it and tried to walk off once he saw you. "Chase, please, just a minute.", you pleaded as you caught up to him and held him by the arm. "What?", he asked in an aggravated tone. "I don't expect anything from you, but I'm pregnant.", you blurted out. He remained quiet and starred at you for a good minute before speaking again.
"How far?"
"6 months."
"You kept that from me for 6 months?", he asked in disbelief. "No, Chase, I didn't find out until a month ago.", you defended yourself. He scoffed a bit. "I can't even believe you that it's mine.", he said before walking off.
"Well, that was something.", Robin said. You nodded your head. Although this went better than expected; you were sure he was gonna yell at you. "Come on, let's go.", you said before walking to class with Robin.
"Hold still.", you said to her as you smeared a face mask on her face. Robin kept making faces at the unknown feeling of the white paste on her face. "Why is it so cold?", she asked, getting some paste on her lips on the process. "Robin.", you said while swiping your thumb across her lower lip to clean it. Your baby bump came fast, and it was big at this point. Bending over to apply the mask was hard enough, having to fix it was even harder. "Sorry.", she whispered once you were finished. "For someone who uses chapstick once every 3 months, you have really soft lips.", you said while leaning back to give your hips and back a break. Truthfully, it was just an absentminded comment, but it made Robin impulsive. She leaned forward and put her lips on yours. A bold move on her end, but you two have not spend a day apart since you said you want to take her out. Kissing you was ought to happen. And you thought the same, so you happily kissed her back.
Once you two parted lips, Robin and you both started laughing; she did because her face mask was all over your nose, chin and side of your lips, and you because those parts came off of her mask and made her look funny. Robin used a wet whipe to carefully fix your face. The whipe landed in the small trashcan next to your bed and since Robin was already leaning foward, she took the chance to take your hands.
"Sooo, are we like...uh...you know..."
"Girlfriends? If you want to." You smiled at her and let your thumbs run across the back of her hands. "I absolutely want to. I've actually had this massive crush on you in middle school, but then it kinda got less but it really came back lately, and there's really nothing more I want than being your girlfriend." She always talked so much once she started, and you loved it. "I'd kiss you again, but you've got something on your face.", you giggled.
"Whipe it off then."
You couldn't tell anyone that both of you were together. Not your parents, not your friends, nobody. Only Steve was made aware, and he was ecstatic for the both of you. Everyone else was told that you two were just best friends who'll be raising the baby together. And for safety reasons, you liked it that way. Besides, nobody needed to know what went on behind closed doors.
"Would you like to find out the gender?", your OBGYN asked you. "Yes, please.", you said with a smile. The initial fear was gone, the nervousness because now it was all replaced with excitement. Robin was gonna be the child's mother with you. "Alright, so you see here." She pointed at the screen. "There's a penis, so it's going to be a boy." Robin and you grinned at each other. "We're having a boy!", Robin squeaked with excitement, which earned a weird look from your doctor. You hastily said your excuse. "She's my best friend, and helping me raise him since the father isn't in the picture." Her face went from confused to smiling. "That's very nice of you.", she said to Robin.
Once in the car, Robin looked a bit concerned. "What's wrong, honey?", you asked her. "Can he still call me mom if everyone thinks we're just best friends?" You haven't thought that far, but there really only was one simple reply. "He'll call me mom and you mama. Sounds good?" Her face turned into a wide grin.
"Yeah, that's good."
"Winnie Pooh wouldn't have been my first choice, but you really made it work.", you told Robin as both of you looked at the finished nursery. Your girlfriend moved in with you at your parents house, under the disguise of her wanting to help, and your fathers office was turned into a nursery. He happily gave it up for his grandson. Plus, Robin was allowed to move into your bedroom with you. Your mother didn't even catch suspicions at you two being okay with sharing a bed, since best friends did that all the time anyways.
"I loved that weird little nudist bear as a child. I think he'll love it, too.", she said with a smile. Robin put her hands on your bump and felt small kicks. "See? He likes it." Both of you laughed and, since the door was closed, shared a quick kiss. "I'm really tired now, though." Both of you walked into your bedroom and laid down on the bed for a nap. Even though Robin didn't fall asleep, she kept you company until you woke up again.
"Okay, Steve, listen.", you said to him while he was sorting movies. "(Y/N), I have to work.", he told you. "It's your least bussiest day, get a grip.", you replied. Ever since you and Robin graduated, you had all the time in the world. "Okay, so, Matthew."
"No."
"Vincent."
"We're in the 80s, not the 1800's."
"Ocean."
"What?", he gave you a confused look that made you laugh. "That was on there to see your face, Dingus.", Robin said with a small laugh. "Rowan?", you asked Steve. He didn't seem to be hating that one. "We're mostly between Rowan and Nicolas.", your girlfriend explained. "Rowan? Is he, what, a wizard?", Steve joked. "Nicolas sounds good." He turned to Robin. "Finally a good decision." She rolled her eyes at him.
"(Y/N) was a good decision."
"Alright, yeah, I'll take that."
You laughed at their antics until there was a sharp pain in your abdomen. "Fuck...", you groaned. Both turned their head to you as you leaned against the counter. "Hey, what's wrong?", Robin asked in a panicked tone. You took a deep breath in and out before being able to reply. "I think he really likes his name and doesn't want to wait." Robin did freak out as much as you'd imagine she would.
"Steve, you need to drive us!", she yelled at her best friend. He hastily got his keys and rushed both of you out of the store. "Come on, let's go!", he said while unlocking the car. Robin got in the backseat with you while Steve started the car. She barely closed the doors when he started rushing to the hospital.
"He's so tiny. Why is he so tiny?", Robin asked with some tears in her eyes as she held your son Nicolas. He's two days old already, but she couldn't help but tear uo every time he was in her arms. "All babies are tiny.", you said with a small laugh. Admittedly, Robin never held a baby before. She was an only child, and her family lived too far away to visit when her cousins were still babies. "But he's extra tiny.", she cooed.
"18 inches is typical, honey."
Robin never looked this happy. The love in her eyes was unmatched. She cherished him as he snored in her arms. The moment was interrupted by a knock on the door, and Steve walking in. "Hey.", he greeted with a smile on his face. One of his hands held flowers while the other held a small box. "Hey Steve.", you said quietly, smiling as well. He walked over to your bed and put the flowers in a vase. "I got these for you, but I didn't know which ones you liked most." You were still smiling. "Thank you, Steve. They're beautiful."
"And I got this for Nicolas. Again, I didn't know what he'd like.", he joked. It made you and your girlfriend laugh a bit. "Maybe you wanna hold him while Robin opens it?", you asked him. Steve loves babies, you knew that, and you knew that he wants six of them. "I'd love to.", he replied. Robin made him sit down and showed him how to properly hold Nicolas. "He's tiny.", Steve commented.
"That's what I said.", Robin agreed with a small laugh. She took the small box from your nightstand and opened it. "It's adorable.", she said with a grin before taking it out of the box. It was a Winnie Pooh rattle. "That's so thoughtful, Steve.", you said with a grin. Meanwhile, Nicolas was waking up in Steve's arms. He had beautiful, big dark brown eyes that looked up at Steve. Something inside him made him very emotional.
"It's unfortunate I can't ask my girlfriend for a baby yet.", he commented. Robin and you shared a look.
"Girlfriend?"
Nicolas was fast asleep on top of Robin from swimming all day. Your four-year old was so hyped for the trip to the Hawkins swimming pool and even packed his bag by himself. After hours of action, he asked his mama for a cuddle just to fall asleep on top of her. And Robin being herself was now sleeping as well. You were packing up towels and toys when you noticed someone approaching.
"(Y/N)?", Chance said.
You looked up at your ex-boyfriend through your sunglasses. "Hey.", you said. His eyes wandered over to your girlfriend and son, especially your son. "He looks like me."
"I know.", you said. "I didn't lie." Chance looked back at you with an apologetic look. "I'm sorry. I should've been there." You made space for him next to you. "Come on. They sleep for forever, we can talk." You could see it in his eyes, he really needed this. There was just...something. Something he needed to tell you.
"I know why you did it.", he said. "It's clear to me now." You felt panic raise inside you. Robin and you did such a good job at convincing everyone that you two were just best friends raising a child. You barely even kissed in front of Nicolas so he couldn't tell his classmates. And now your ex figured it all out?
"(Y/N), I figured it out because I'm like you." Your eyes went wide in surprise. "But with boys.", you whispered. He nodded his head. "Me and Andy. You remember Andy?" How could you not? He was a dick
"We're moving in together next month. It's better there for us." You smiled at him, happy that he was so open and honest. But it still raised a question. "You never loved me?"
"I thought I did. But I realised I just really liked hanging out with you, more than anyone else." That made you happy, even though you still felt bad for using him. Even though he understood, it wasn't right. "I don't expect anything from you.", Chase said, unintentionally quoting you from five years ago. "But I'd like to be in your life again. And..."
"Nicolas."
"And Nicolas life."
You looked over at your sleeping girlfriend and son. The three of you, despite the challenges, had a peaceful life. Would suddenly involving Nico's bio dad ruin it for him? "I'll talk about it with Robin. But the two of us can always hang out." You looked through your bag for a notebook, where you messily wrote down your landline number. "Here. Call me tomorrow and I'll have an answer for you." He happily took the piece of paper from you. "Thank you.", he said with a smile.
"Come on, Nico!", you yelled from the bleachers as your son took the final shot to bring Hawkins to victory. His team made it to the finals, and if they won today they'll win the championship. He took the shot, landed and the entire gymnasium erupted into cheers. The first thing Nicolas did is run up to you, Robin and Chase for a group hug. "I'm so proud of you!", Chase said to his son. He was soon pulled away by his teammates to celebrate their victory.
"He's amazing.", Robin said before pulling you into a kiss. "Our son is amazing!"
She also hugged Chase. They became good friends over the past years, especially after she saw that Chase was doing an amazing job as being a father to Nico. Your son didn't start calling him dad, but he does say he's 'His Chase', and that's good enough for him. But most importantly: Nico has a good life.
And so did Robin.

8x03 predictions
So... yeah, kid is landing that plane, and I'm very happy about it.
Wasn't trying to jinx it when I made that post a few hours ago about the jump seat plugging that hole in the cockpit. I was about to write how disastrous it would be if the jump seat flies off, taking more chunks of the fuselage/wiring with it and sending more debris towards to cabin and potentially the engines.
Apparently, it will indeed fly off in 8x03, and the result is catastrophic. So they will lose the ability to turn, it can be due to all sorts of reasons. I can see the screens still lit up, so probably not a total electrical failure. It can be a dual engine failure, and they can't make drastic turns and risk losing precious airspeed and altitude, but I think I can still hear the engine in the sneak peek? The number one culprit of total inability to make flight control inputs in an airliner is the total loss of hydraulic systems (all 3). I can see maybe debris damaging the hydraulic lines but neither Jem nor Athena have the knowledge to stop the hydraulic leak before it's too late?
Anyway, the result is still the same, they can't turn. Flying/gliding due north is their only option.
Obviously, there's no ocean north of Los Angeles, but also you don't want to ditch in water unless you absolutely have no other choice. Water is incompressible, and the ocean is wavy. If you hit a wall of wave while ditching the plane, it's exactly like hitting a brick wall, and the plane will break apart.
TW: plane crash
youtube
An open field or a multi-lane highway is their best option.
If they've indeed lost all hydraulics, braking will obviously be an issue too, since they'll also lose reverse thrust and spoilers.
You know what? There was a case of an airliner (DC-9) making an emergency landing on a rural highway, Southern Airways Flight 242 in 1977. The touchdown itself was pretty successful, just a bit bouncy, but its left wing unfortunately hit a roadside gas station during the rollout, so it triggered an explosion, swerved to the left and ended up crashing. If that plane could land firmly on the ground on a narrow road back in the 70s, Athena's plane can land on a wide city highway too. It won't be pleasant or risk-free, but at least it's not a death sentence.
As for Tommy's involvement in this opening disaster, I've said it many times, but I'll say it again: I don't think it makes sense narratively for him to play hero and land the plane. Real life constraints (money) also limit him from being in a helicopter on screen. The only way he'll be seen in 8x03 is working on the ground, helping with the rescue. Any other way he'll just be mentioned at best. I pray that he'll be there running towards Buck all worried because the plane barely misses the 119 truck.
You're asking what's with the 217 truck if he's not in 8x03? Well, obviously the show won't get a new truck with a new station number for nothing, so maybe Tommy and the 217 are planned to be heavily featured in future episodes?
Oh, let's not forget Dennis Jenkins, I think he's likely to be in danger.
This is classic famous last words. Athena will have to take on the burden just in time before Jenkins takes his last breath.
If he's not dying, then there'll still be drama related to him. Those dirty cops are looking for him and their plane is currently all over the news. Athena will need to find a way to sneak him out to safety.

Bad Batch: Season 3
My Predictions
The final countdown has started and I'm not ready at ALL! Here are some of my predictions for Season 3 and what I could imagine happening!
1. Tech will be back.
Yes, the trope of dead characters returning is incredibly overused. But as many others I have a good reason to believe that Tech might still be alive. Think about it. It’s pretty likely Hemlock managed to locate Tech’s body considering he left us a huge breadcrumb: his goggles.
Why would Hemlock get rid of a genetically enhanced super soldier, especially considering he likely knows how to properly brainwash someone?
I too like to think that Tech might be the black armoured soldier in the front. It’s the same, if not similar armour as Clone X. Maybe these are part of a special type of clone assassins or troopers? Could they be the prototype for the Dark or Death Trooper?
It’s pretty plain to say that Tech will likely come back, though probably not as the Tech we know.
2. Crosshair & Omega Dynamic
We've seen Omega genuinely bond with all of the Bad Batch - except for Crosshair. Despite her trying her best to get to him every time they had the chance to interact, he denied her any kind of response. Whether that would be because he's just too withdrawn or because he refuses to let anyone see his vulnerable side, we don't know so far.
What we do know however, both based on pure logic alone and the fact that we've heard them both involved in a heated debate in the leaked trailer from the Star Wars Celebration last year, is that they likely will spending a lot of time together on-screen now that they're both captives of the Empire.
Hopefully Omega will be able to lift Cross' spirits, he doesn't seem to be doing very well from what we've seen!
3. Ventress will be an enemy!
Asajj Ventress! We all know and love her, so naturally it's incredibly nice to find out that she'll be returning to the screens for the final season of the Bad Batch! Despite they're naturally being some raised eyebrows considering her fate in the Dark Disciple book, I'm curious to see in what way they'll connect the stories!
However, seeing as Ventress could rather be classified as an anti-hero rather than a full on hero, I believe that she won't be helping the Batch but rather fighting them in order to get to what she wants - as she likes to do.
Perhaps she'll end up cooperating when she realises there might be no other solution, but I strongly doubt she'll be any help to them when it comes to following their personal goals.
4. The Fall of the Clone Rebellion
It's sadly no secret that given the events of Rebels and the three remaining clones Rex, Gregor & Wolffe, it's very likely the rebellions aka rescue of the clones didn't go as initially planned.
I could imagine this being explained a bit clearer in the finale, perhaps even leading up to a great fight against the Empire in the end. We can't forget that the series mainly revolves around a rogue batch of clones, so the thought that it might also go out with a clone-centric subject, especially such a big one, isn't necessarily far-fetched.
5. The End of the Mission
And finally, my most tragic prediction: The end of the Bad Batch.
The writers have been making it very clear that season 3 will likely be the darkest season of the show which unfortunately leads me to think that, as much as I'd want it not to be the case, the finale will lead to the ultimate end of Clone Force 99.
I suspect the series to end with the batch ending up together in some way, as the original five, and landing in a tricky life-or-death situation. Perhaps they'll be stuck in a crashing ship with a one-person escape pod or maybe they'll be facing a threatening figure such as Sidious, leading to the decision to sacrifice themselves in order to protect Omega.
Either way, despite season 3 likely becoming a tragic rollercoaster of emotions, I'm glad we had the chance to experience the epic story of the Bad Batch. It's sad to see them go and although these characters have become like a family not only to me, but to many other fans, let's enjoy our last moments with them and let them go out with a bang!

[ @dayseedrawz2 ]
Ok now onto the Fic!
[The Ring-Misstress | Chapter 1: an alliance]
☆Welcome... to the AMAAAAZING DIGITAL CIRCUS!!! My name is Caine!!! And I'm here to show you the most Jaw-dropping,Heart-stopping, MIND-BENDING parraphinallia you have EVER LAYED YOUR...☆
Blah blah blah... that's all Pomni could hear. She'd been a part of the circus crew for about a week or 2 now?? Maybe more?? Eh, who's counting. Not her! Long enough to know that Caine's daily routine consists of him rambling on about the adventure they'll have that day for at least 5 minutes. So she had plenty of time to dissociate.
Not that she minded Caine's endless rambling. In a way, it was actually kinda comforting, weirdly. Like listening to white noise to fall asleep. She was too busy in her own world to make out completely what he was saying, though. "Blah blah blah, adventure, blah blah blah code, blah blah blah Pomni, blah- Pomni?"
"Pomni??"
☆POMNI!!☆
♧Gah! Huh?? Wha??♧
The Jester was suddenly brought back to reality (unfortunately).
☆You got all of that, right??☆
♧Caine, I don't really care what you have set up for the next adventure-♧
☆My dear, that's the thing!! Today's adventure is unfortunately canceled because SOMBODY just had to EAT AN ENTIRE CHUNK OF CODE...☆
The ringmaster angrily turned towards Bubble.
°○I regret nothing○°
Caine could only groan in frustration before he poked bubble, who disappeared with a "Pop!"
☆... Well then, with that outta the way, I suppose you all enjoy your day off!! I'll be out here if anyone needs me!☆
The crew set off to their rooms, including Pomni. She turned towards the hallway with everyone else, being the last one to her room. But just as she was about to reach for her door, she noticed something...
What looked to be some sort of glitch?? Should she call Caine?? She wasn't sure... but she decided to anyway.
♧Uhh, Caine??♧
No answer. Oh, well. Guess he must've left to prepare the next adventure. That's all he ever does. I mean, he isn't a real person. There's probably not much else he'd want to do.
She took a double-take at the weird thing she'd seen.
♧Wait a second...♧
What at first seemed like just a jumble of 1's and 0's infact, was not. She recognized this... A string of code...
She could read it.
♧"01010101 00100000 01001100 00100000 01000010 00100000 01000010 00100000 01000101"♧
Hesitantly, she reached for the string of code...
Just then, a familiar voice hurriedly approached...
☆My sincerest apologies dear!! It seems my WackyWatchTM must've missed your message!! I hope I'm not too- Huh?☆
Pomni was fidgeting with the numbers. Scrambling them around, trying to make something of them. Eventually, she left them in a certain order. The numbers formed a sphere and slowly dissappear, leaving a familiar transparent ball...
♧Bubble??♧
°○Wow!! That was weird!! I'm gonna go now!!○°
And with that Bubble floated off to who knows where.
Pomni stared down at her hands. In them, few little bits of code, like glitter, slowly faded away.
She looked up from her hands startled to see that Caine had been floating there the entire time. He looked almost- dumbfounded...
☆How... did you do that??☆
Pomni seemed a bit confused at the question.
♧Y-you code things all the time what do you mean??♧
☆Yeah no- how did you do that without a Cane??☆
He gestured to his cane that was floating beside him.
♧I- Well- I dunno I just- sorta reached out and-♧
☆Well dear, I'm quite impressed!! Not only because of that but- I've never seen that sorta thing happen to bubble before...☆
He muttered under his breath.
☆unless...☆
♧Hm?♧
☆Say... Perhaps whenever you aren't busy with adventures, like today, you could help out with bugs and stuff!! How's that sound??☆
He look right into Pomni's eyes, almost pleading, in a way... Pomni thought about the offer for a moment.
What if... there were a code for the exit..?
Maybe... just maybe... helping the ringmaster was her ticket out of here!! To get on his good side!!
♧Uhh, yeah sure.♧
☆Well then, I understand if you d- wait, really?☆
♧I guess so.♧
She couldn't believe it!! He was actually buying it!! "Exit here I c-"
☆Oh Thank you thank you thank you!!! I could really use a hand around here!!☆
He wrapped her in a very uncomfortably tight hug. Nonetheless she manged to force a smile...
♧Heh, n-no problem...♧
YIPPEE IM FINALLY DONE-
This took all day-
Also I'm finally on summer break so imma hopefully have alot more time to write-
Uh anyways uh-
Ask Caine, Pomni an Voz I guess-
(or me about the au/fic in general)
See ya in chapter 2!!

Unfortunately, probably so
Q. He's been on set. They're just not showing him there yet. You're out of your mind if you think he's not there.
Q. Honest thoughts: is he going to be in season 8 or no?
A. I don't believe he has been on set yet, anon. I do think he will be there but it's pretty obvious that he hasn't been there yet. Perhaps you can check the fake Twitter account for his exact whereabouts. Second anon, yes I believe he will be around for at least most of 8a. I don't think we will see that much of him but I think he'll be around. I don't trust Tim at all to not play with that dynamic a bit. He has said several times in the past that he hasn't defined Buddie yet because he likes the idea of relationship drama. If the plan is actually Buddie, I don't think he will be able to resist using Tommy to create some drama. Once he puts Buck/Eddie together that is it relationship wise, that is their endgame so drama for them, at least in the way Tim talks about things, will have to be manufactured in other ways. I love a lot of things about Tim but I don't trust him at all to not use Tommy to build up the drama pre Buddie. Especially if they did bring in Lone Star writers. They just write completely differently tone wise. I absolutely loathe the idea because it will be virtually unbearable around here throughout that entire process, and it's possible, given the behavior that Tim became aware of, that he changed direction a bit, but I still don't trust him to get there in the best way. It's just too easy of a route to take. There have been a few people who managed to figure out that the cameo videos came to a stop around the same time they started writing for the season. So along with whatever conversation took place, I'm sure Lou got his final episode count and just decided to go ahead and walk away from them. So while I think his return will still only be a handful of episodes I think it's going to be a rough handful of episodes. If I get canon Buddie out of the drama I don't care how we get there, but I know lots of people do so I want to try and prepare myself now. And once it becomes apparent that Tommy is just drama in the lead up to Buddie his people are going to become downright unbearable. I'm very excited about lots of things but I just want to get his part over with.
For the record, anon, I'm praying like crazy that I'm wrong. I want to be wrong. I want to be wrong so badly.
Thank you Nonny!
Yeah, I also expect Lou there for a few more scenes. It'll suck to find out that he's on set. Not because of him specifically, because it will give the storyline a fitting ending on screen and it might be interesting to watch it play out for Buck as a character. (Even though I agree that, if Tim really wanted to, he could make Buddie happen without the Tommy factor involved.)
But because of the reaction of a certain subset of the fandom. The loud Tommy stans will be proclaiming that Lou is there as a main now and he's going to ask Buck to marry him or something unhinged like that. And then when they realise, during season 8, that BT's relationship isn't going to last very long, they'll throw a loud tantrum like a bunch of 5 year olds who don't get a sweet before dinner.
I'm just over all of that nonsense.
What this fandom needs right now is some peace without a very loud minority trying to harsh our buzz.
Also, to be honest... I don't care how they make Buddie canon either. I've been here for 6 seasons now. I'm tired. The time is now. However they do it, I'll just be happy about it, no matter how it happens.
And finally, I'm also manifesting that Ali (and me as well) is wrong. Very very wrong indeed. Sorry my dear. :)
IMPORTANT! Please don't repost this ask and/or a link that leads straight to my Tumblr account on Twitter or any other social media. Thank you!
Heads up! For anyone who is giving me the shifty eyes for reposting Ali's updates instead of reblogging. Read this.

Imagine telling sevika "I‘d still love you without all those gorgeous muscles, you know that right?“ when noticing you‘ve been complimenting them a LOT lately
Thinking about this scenario I just picture that soft expression she has when talking to Silco about Jinx and relating it to her relationship with her father. 😭 Want to hug and hold her SO BAD!
AN: This got a little... angsty I guess? Nothing too bad. Just different than my normal vibe. Or maybe I just felt angsty while writing this, idk. I've been feeling kinda down in the dumps lately, particularly in the past several weeks or so, and I think it's starting to show in my writing, unfortunately. (It's certainly been a huge hindrance to writing in general. Output has been near zero, hence the lack of posting much beyond just little HCs, imagines, etc.) But hey, this is SFW, which is unusual for me! Still tossed it below the cut due to length.
I certainly would still love her all the same without those delicious muscles of hers. There are hundreds of reasons I'm crazy about her, and I imagine the rest of the Sevika simps feel the same. She's an incredible woman.
Sevika oozes confidence. She's clearly proud of her body (As she should be! She looks AMAZING at 40). She's got those toned abs and delightfully large bicep of hers on constant display. Not to mention those tight pants that hug her deliciously muscular legs. 🤤
However, she is human. I'm sure that somewhere beneath her cool, confident exterior there's bound to be some self-conscious feelings, some worries, some doubt. Especially if you've been so frequently pointing out her glorious physique. Sure, it's gonna feel great to her at first. She'll feel high as a kite that her favorite person finds her so amazing and attractive. But at some point, you gotta believe she's going to think about what she might look like in 10, 20, 30 years, if she ever gives up whatever strict regime she has to stay so fit. You can't possibly expect her to maintain that figure until she takes her last breath. It's unrealistic and unfair. I certainly wouldn't expect her to. So she probably wonders, what would you think of her then?
Weak. That's how she feels if she ever lets her emotions- her vulnerability- show. So she bottles them up. Keeps them buried deep inside where no one can find them. Covers them up with layers of hardened muscles, a stony expression, and a personality to match. ------------------------X------------------------ Post-workout routine with Sevika, you once again find yourself openly ogling her sweat-slick body. All those delicious muscles of hers just glisten and flex as she wipes herself down with a towel. Sevika catches you staring and that frown she tends to wear curls into a small, crooked grin. Realizing you've been caught, you speak your obvious thoughts aloud, "Janna, your body is so unbelievably sexy." You step closer to her and run a hand along her arm, paying special attention to her bicep. "So strong," you whisper, almost in a trance as you give the hard muscle beneath your hand a gentle squeeze. Your eyes drift back up to her face, just in time to spot that sexy smirk of hers deteriorating into something entirely different. Something... pained. Not wanting to let you read the thoughts plaguing her mind, Sevika turns away. Says nothing. Just hopes you can't see how her expression falls into that rare, soft, but dejected look. Like she's carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders. But not even those broad shoulders can carry so much. And they'll only weaken with age, she thinks. And there's that awful word again. Weak. Despite her efforts to hide her feelings, you can spot that sudden change in her demeanor a mile away. The way her shoulders slump, her head drops just the slightest, her gaze goes distant, eyelids heavy over those gray eyes that threaten to expose the storm brewing behind them. You know that look. And you know exactly what's going through her head. So you cautiously step closer, knowing the subject matter is touchy with her. That really anything relative to her feelings puts her on the defensive. Slowly, you slide your arms around her waist from behind and gently pull her closer until your chest presses against the damp, heated skin of her back. You can feel how her body tenses at your touch, the physical affection. But you persist, with care. You rest your cheek just below her shoulder and just hold her, giving her a moment to adjust. Once you feel her start to relax, you finally speak. "You know I'd still love you even without all this muscle, right?" You ask softly. You don't truly expect her to answer. She hates talking about this 'shit' as she'd call it. And that's fine. You just want to let her know how you feel about her. To reassure her she's got you by her side. No matter what. "Your muscles are only one of the many things I love about you, Sev. I hope you know that," you continue on as you pull her closer and tighten your embrace. "Even if they fade away someday, you're still going to be the most gorgeous, charming, and amazing woman I've ever met. I'll always-" you give her a good squeeze for emphasis, "-love you." Sevika still says nothing, but when you press a chaste kiss to her back and feel her human hand slide over yours where it rests on her stomach, you know she's heard you. When she gives your hand an almost imperceptible little squeeze, you know she understands. When she finally turns to face you and pulls you in close, her lips tugging just the slightest at one corner while she peers down at you, you know she believes you. And when she bends down to capture your lips in what is most assuredly the sweetest kiss she's ever shared with you, you know her love for you is just as strong.

I know I already brought this point up before, but thinking about it further made me realize how out of their way they went to set this up.
I'm pretty sure "Derision" did all of THAT to Kim's character - despite his growth in the last seasons - because from season 6 onwards he'll be used as the new main slapstick comic relief team mate Ladybug can get angry at for "badly timed jokes she personally didn't like in that moment" and use him as object and tool.
That's why Kim was now characterized as a MEAN-SPIRITED incel jokester
As Marinette's first love interest who hurt her so much that she's traumatized
Who likes and still LOVES Chloé and thinks she's funny for what they are doing while bullying, and says all that in front of his girlfriend
Kim as King Monkey has the same 'animal comic relief' energy as Adrichat was stuck with pre-s5 to the point where Adrien in "Penalteam" even outright called his treatment "animal abuse" but the show keeps insisting that it's all his fault and Marinette is being the kindest and most justified leader imaginable, no matter what horrible thing she does to him because it's never her fault anymore.
Marinette got too much 'unjustified and mean' hate for having done it to her kind and abused love interest, so now they just turned King Monkey into a base line mean-spirited, legit stupid, and easy to hate scapegoat team member so the show can continue having her to it to show that "she was never WRONG in the first place", Adrien just finally "learned his lesson" through being physically and emotionally beaten into shape, but Kim is just so... HIMSELF that she will unfortunately 'have to' continue doing it :(
No matter how badly that reflects on her leadership that she can't keep her team in check any other way and that she let's him stay at all. But they'll probably blame that on Fu because Kim is besides Chat the only person in her normal team constellation (so Félix doesn't count for this) she didn't choose "so naturally there is a pattern with how she 'must treat them' so they act accordingly to her leadership standards and properly respect her"
Adrien, Kim, Chloé, and Lila/ Cerise. Funny how there is always a pattern in the treatment of the holders Marinette didn't cherry-pick. Félix here truly is the one that got away because he's a writers' darling.
I know, I should be glad that this means Adrichat is going to keep his better treatment that actually allowes human rights and dignity for him in Maribug's leadership. But this isn't going to actually take care of the problem I have with Marinette being depicted like that as leader as an "empowerment" message.
I want her to be a good leader and role model and not just constantly have the show claim that as long as the episodes say that "she hurts the right people" to make sure she gets the respect and reward she wants but doesn't owe it to anyone to give it in return :/
#Ml Derision critical#Ml speculation#Ml Kim#Ml king monkey#I hope I'm wrong about this but this makes too much sense and I hate that#I honestly miss loving Marinette so much but nothing realistically leads to a conclusion I like anymore for her

You're comfortably laying on the couch watching your favorite show. You're laying in here since the moment you woke up, you went to say good morning to your Daddies in their office right after you opened an eye.
They have a lot of work and they told you yesterday that they'll be working almost all day so, before jumping on the couch to do nothing you went to them a little good morning.
You could say they were very busy with work so you didn't stay for too long in their office. They kissed you good mornings and asked you if you had a good sleep but nothing more. You didn’t want to be a burden so you quickly excused yourself and left.
Now you're laying on the couch laughing your ass off as your show plays on the screen. But unfortunately for you, its the end of the show so now you don't know what to watch.
You grab the remote and put something else. You don't know what it is, you never heard the name of this movie nor heard about it but that's the first thing you found so you decide to let it there.
As you lie back on the couch, a loud siren suddenly yell from outside making you flinch hard. You feel your heartbeat going faster for a moment as you look at the window where the sound came from. The jump caused you to be on a sitting position now.
You feel your breathing going back to normal and the pain you felt in your chest due to the fear is going away by it's own. You slowly lie back down on the couch, taking some breath to be sure you're fully calm now.
You put your attention back on the screen and the incident is now completly forget as you're mind focus on the tv.
The movie isn’t that bad but you’re still happy when the screen goes black, announcing the end. You get up from the couch and make your way toward the kitchen to grab something to eat since it’s now lunch time. You hesitate at going in your daddies’s office to give them their lunch, maybe they’re hungry too, but you decide to not disturbed them. The last thing you want is to make them grumpy. They’re grown men after all, they can go eat by themselves when they’re feeling hungry.
You grab the bread and start making a little meal while thinking about what you’re gonna do after. Maybe watching another movie ? Or probably not, you already watch a lot of tv and you usually get a headache if you overdo screen time. But drawing sounds good.
You grab the knife and start cutting your piece of bread in two pieces when you feel something weird in your chest. It feels like what happened earlier in the day. The same weird thing you felt earlier in the day
You let go of the knife you were holding causing it to fall on the ground. Your daddies’s attention turn toward the baby monitor in their office who is relied to the one in the living room and kitchen. Since this area of the house is relied to each other
You start panicking and take a hold of the island counter, your chest start to tighten and you feel your chest getting heavier and heavier as if all the weight of the world were sitting and punching your chest.
What is happening ? You were fine two seconds before that. You turn to look at the stairs and decide to go upstairs. Maybe laying in your bed is the best idea, right now.
It’s probably because of the screen, you thought, but when you start to walk, you immediately feel the need to sit down. You can’t bear all the pain and all the uncomfortable feelings you feel inside of you. You let yourself go and drop on your knees in the middle of the kitchen floor.
Bucky’s attention is still glued to the baby monitor while Steve is getting back to work. He keeps telling Bucky to calm down and that you probably just dropped a spoon or a knife you were using but something tells him to stay focus on it a little bit longer and Bucky’s instinct never failed him so this time, just like any others, he listen to it
When he hears you whining and your breath starting to get heavier and shorter, he stands up and walks toward the little things beside their desks. Steve almost rolls his eyes because he didn’t heard what his husband had. He just thinks he’s overreacting because you’re alone downstairs and it doesn’t happen every times.
He suddenly hears you falling and he almost drops the thing in his hand as he lets go of everything and decides to make a quick run to you. He opens the door in one quick movement and it’s like in almost two steps, he’s beside you.
You didn’t know you made that much noise until you see your Daddy running down the stairs and to you. He grabs your face with his hands and tilts it toward his, you sees his lips moving but the only thing you can understand is the panic and the concern in your Daddy’s face.
‘’Little one ?’´ he asks looking into your wide eyes ‘’can you hear me ? Where does it hurt ?’’ He asks but the look on your face tells him that you didn’t heard anything.
He stands up and easily lifts you up, he pulls you closer to him and you wrap your legs around his waist. With one hand, he assures your safety in his arms while with the other, he looks through the kitchen for your medication.
He exhales loudly when he finally find it and analyse it. He sighs a second time but a lot less happy than the first time as he puts the medication on the counter. He rubs your back slowly, he can almost feel your heart beating faster and faster more the seconds pass. ‘’It’s okay, babygirl. You’ll be fine, everything is okay’’ before reassures you, not knowing if your attention is on him again or still away.
‘’I’ll rest you on the counter island a little bit and then you’ll come back in my arms. Are you okay with that ?’’ He gently asks, hid lips against your ear as a small whisper comes out. You whine and shake your head, holding him tighter than before with the little strength left in you.
‘okay, beautiful. We’ll wait a little bit more’’ just as he said that, a blond figure appears from the stairs. Steve looks up and frowns when he sees the scenes before him ‘’what happened ?’’ He asks but gets a silence answer from Bucky.
Your Daddy turns his attention back to you ‘’how do you feel about sitting down for a bit ? I’ll be right in front of you, you can hold my hand the whole time so you can be sure I wonky go anywhere’’ he quietly asks and waits for you to answer.
You think about it and slowly nod your head. He smiles and kisses your temple. He walks toward the counter and wait until it touch your ass, letting you know that it’s the time to let go ‘’I’ll help you sit down. Firstly I’ll unwrap your legs and when I’m sure that you’re ready, I’ll unwrap your arms’’ he tells you so you’re ready and knows what will happen.
You whine but nod your head. He lifts your butt and rests it on the counter, he slides his hands along your legs who are around him and gently unlocks your feet. He brings your legs against the counter before letting go of your toes. He then slides his hands on your arms until it reach your hands behind his neck. He squeezes your hands before unlocking them too. He kisses each one of them and rests them against your laps. Just like he promised, he keeps a hand in yours and turns around to find Steve already walking to him with a glass of water.
Even if Steve weren’t here since the beginning of what happened, he still knows what to do for you and what to do for helping Bucky.
‘’Thank you, Stevie’’ Bucky says, grabbing the glass before turning around to look at you ‘’did you took these this morning ?’’ He asks showing you the medications. You look at it and shake your head. Every effort is hard to make, even one simple movement such as moving your head or your body away from your Daddy
Your Papa stands behind you and wraps his arms around your waist, he gently rests his chin on your shoulder, his hands gently stroking your belly just like you love it. It’s something who calm you and make you sleepy and your Daddies know that. They help you getting on a deep sleep at night by doing that when you can’t sleep. But this time, it’s to calm your little heart and to show you that he’s here with you and for you.
Your Daddies look at each other after you shook your head and sigh once again ‘’you know what is it for ?’’ Your Papa asks, turning his gaze to you and to the pills on front of you. You shake your head again. Why does they keep asking you question ? You just want to rest.
‘’Baby, look at me’’ your Daddy’s voice get your attention back to him ‘’those ugly things’’ he says showing you the pills with a grimace ‘’are for your own good, baby’’ he says tilting his head. ‘’it’s for your little heart, and we need you to take it because you are our heart and we need you to be okay because we love you. You need your heart to be in a good shape just as much as we need you to be inn a good shape. Do you understand us ?"
You nod your head telling him you understood even though you didn't really understood. Your Daddy looks at your Papa behind you and they both arch an eyebrow "are you sure you really understood, sweetie ?" your Papa asks, his breath lightly tickling your neck. You nod your head again. You're too tired to tell them you didn't understood and having to wait for them to expalin all over again. You don't have the strengh, right now.
Your Daddy chuckles, he knows what you're doing and decides to let it aside today because it's not the time. You're not focus enough to remember what they're saying even if it's important.
"Just take one now. You have to take it every morning after you woke up" he says giving you the pill and the glass of water. You cring and shake your head. It's bad enough that you have to take it every morning but he want to give one to you now ? In the early afternoon ? It's not morning.
"baby it's really important. Take it." he orders putting the pill in your mouth. You grimace and whine looking one last time at your Daddy for mercy, but the look on his face clearly say that every wars you're ready to take against him is a losing battle. Sighing you allow him to bring the cup of water to your mouth and to take a big sip.
You don't swallow it right away because it's not a small pill so you're scared but with the praises and the words of your Daddies are helping you a lot. It help so much that you finally swallow the pill causing your Daddies to yell their proudness at you. "You did it! we're so proud of you, beautiful" your Daddy says with stars in his eyes
"You're so strong! How did you do ? You'll have to teach me because i'm not as strong as you for taking pills" Your Papa says with a shocked face before winking at you.
You blush and look down at your laps, fidgeting with your fingers. They chuckle and you feel your Papa removing his arms from around you making you whine. It felt so good, his arms around you, the warm of his body against yours, the comfort and reassurance he can give you without actually speaking.
Those feelings are quickly replaced by your Papa's arms again as he lifts you up from the counter after he walked around it to stand in front of you. He leaves the kitchen with your Daddy on his heels and starts to walks up the stairs.
You look at your Daddy who shifts his gaze to you when he feels your eyes on him. He smiles brightly at you and brings his hand to your foot. He hold your toes all the way to their bedroom for a good nap time. You giggle at him because h can't stop making funny face to you to high up the mood.
Your Daddy lets go of you when you reach the bed and your Papa gently rests you down in it. Since you were still in your pyjama, you can immediately slide under the cover and wait for the warmth of your Daddies.
While one of your Daddies went to use the bathroom, the other went to turn off the light of the bedroom and light up the night light before crowling in bed beside you. You immediately snuggle closer to him and sigh in contentement when your favorites feelings come back with his arms around you. You close your eyes and wait for your Daddy to come back from the bathroom to snuggle with you too
You need it but you know that they need it too. They had a lot of work the last few days and really deserve to rest.
You smile when two others arms come around you and you don't need anything more to feel ready to fall asleep and rest.
Now that your heart isn't hurting anymore feel good, a whole lot better. It was scary, really scary but it helped you a lot that your Daddies were there for you, they didn't let you alone, they didn't let you down. They accompanied you to the end and always will.
That's something you're positive about. It took a long time to find someone who'll carry you up to the sky and above the cliuds in everything you want to do, even if it seems like a dumb thing, you needed someone like that. And you found it, you not only found someone, you found two people, two gorgious men who'll do anything to see you fly on your own.
"good nap, baby girl" your Daddy kisses the bak of your neck "you handled things so good, just like a big girl. Don't ever forget how proud we are"
"we love you, always and forever"
