I know I already brought this point up before, but thinking about it further made me realize how out of their way they went to set this up.

I'm pretty sure "Derision" did all of THAT to Kim's character - despite his growth in the last seasons - because from season 6 onwards he'll be used as the new main slapstick comic relief team mate Ladybug can get angry at for "badly timed jokes she personally didn't like in that moment" and use him as object and tool.

That's why Kim was now characterized as a MEAN-SPIRITED incel jokester

As Marinette's first love interest who hurt her so much that she's traumatized

Who likes and still LOVES Chloé and thinks she's funny for what they are doing while bullying, and says all that in front of his girlfriend

Kim as King Monkey has the same 'animal comic relief' energy as Adrichat was stuck with pre-s5 to the point where Adrien in "Penalteam" even outright called his treatment "animal abuse" but the show keeps insisting that it's all his fault and Marinette is being the kindest and most justified leader imaginable, no matter what horrible thing she does to him because it's never her fault anymore.

Marinette got too much 'unjustified and mean' hate for having done it to her kind and abused love interest, so now they just turned King Monkey into a base line mean-spirited, legit stupid, and easy to hate scapegoat team member so the show can continue having her to it to show that "she was never WRONG in the first place", Adrien just finally "learned his lesson" through being physically and emotionally beaten into shape, but Kim is just so... HIMSELF that she will unfortunately 'have to' continue doing it :(

No matter how badly that reflects on her leadership that she can't keep her team in check any other way and that she let's him stay at all. But they'll probably blame that on Fu because Kim is besides Chat the only person in her normal team constellation (so Félix doesn't count for this) she didn't choose "so naturally there is a pattern with how she 'must treat them' so they act accordingly to her leadership standards and properly respect her"

Adrien, Kim, Chloé, and Lila/ Cerise. Funny how there is always a pattern in the treatment of the holders Marinette didn't cherry-pick. Félix here truly is the one that got away because he's a writers' darling.

I know, I should be glad that this means Adrichat is going to keep his better treatment that actually allowes human rights and dignity for him in Maribug's leadership. But this isn't going to actually take care of the problem I have with Marinette being depicted like that as leader as an "empowerment" message.

I want her to be a good leader and role model and not just constantly have the show claim that as long as the episodes say that "she hurts the right people" to make sure she gets the respect and reward she wants but doesn't owe it to anyone to give it in return :/

He wasn't there

In "Derision", Kim came to terms with how he genuinely hurt Marinette when she declared her love to him the year before, and decided he wanted to own up to his past mistakes. Originally, he'd be present for nearly every plan everyone set up to help Marinette and Adrien get closer, like in "Perfection" when they planned a special situation in the art room, during the yoga session and on the boat. But now that he knows his past actions and words resulted in Marinette feeling fearful in accepting that she could share a love with Adrien without consequence, Kim likely decided to do right by Marinette and kept a distance during the Ferris wheel plan in "Protection", so as to not further unnerve her.

And since Max is his best friend, he would have stayed with Kim while the plan was in motion so Kim wouldn't be all alone.

P.s. Alix isn't there because she's hiding in the time stream from Monarch, and Luka isn't there because he had to leave Paris after Monarch discovered he knew both Ladybug and Cat Noir's identities.

The Miraculers (+ Queen Bee)

I've always wanted to draw the miraculous superheroes team ever since watching season 2 finale (that's why there is still Queen Bee), but then next seasons they added more heroes, and I wanted to added them too in my art, and it keeps going to the point there are 18 holders right now 😂 So it took me like, 7 years to finish this lol. I made this drawing from when I was still doing traditional art, but now I have an Ipad, I scanned them and continue to draw them digitally instead.

Dunno if this is an unpopular opinion or not but I love that the show made this large group of superheroes. I like to explore on all the miraculouses powers, abilities, weapons, symbolization to their civillian self... everything really! Season 6 made me more interested to see more of them. But ofc the main duo will still hold a special place to my heart.

I probably gonna draw them again sometime in the future with season 6 designs but lol, enjoy this while it's (finally) done

I absolutely completely loved this beautiful publication of Miraculous Ladybug from Kimora's ship of the characters Le Chien Kim and Nora Cesaire together but above all because it really gives me tenderness as in the we see Nora kissing Kim in his room but I also love the clothes that Nora wears with her top and mini skirt but also because I really like the idea that Nora has a miraculous during season 6 of the Miraculous Ladybug series and also because I imagine that the perfect Miraculous for her would be a Miraculous with the power of the Spider or also with the power of the Lion but at the same time also and above all because I am really absolutely completely excited to be able to see them together again in every possible way

Team Miraculous Headcanons!

(Note: I feel like the temp heros arent fleshed out as much so im only talking about their role on the team and the difference between their civilian and hero persona.)

Ladybug & Chat Noir: you already know.

Rena Rouge & Carapace: Just like the two lovebirds up there, I think there personalities swap in their hero personas. While Alya is the more rational one and Nino the coming up with crazy ideas, Rena is the crazy idea girl and Carapace is the one that wants everyone to think things through. In combat, Carapace is a frontliner like Chat Noir but with meatshield bent. Rena rarely sees combat because she's more of a mission control/guy in the chair/Navigator and yes I can randomly make persona references that supports the team from the shadows with illusions and spying on the villain.

Queen Bee: This might contradict canon but idc, Queen Bee is nice! Like yeah, she still insults her teammates, but not to their faces anymore! Chloe's making an effort to not be bad and she's failing, but it's the thought that counts right? In battle, Chloe is just doing her best Ladybug impression and it's not too bad.

Vesperia: If Queen Bee is Chloe trying to be nice, then Vesperia is Zoe being a savage! The girl has a lot of pent up anger from living with Audrey and Chloe at the same time, so she deserves to cut loose a bit. Vesperia is one of the heroes that uses the most taunts and insults against villains, sometimes to bait them but most of the time it's just her being a little bad. She's a frontliner but with an emphasis on dodging hits and grabbing attention.

Viperion: Luka is approachable, Viperion is not. He has creepy eyes and half of Paris is convinced he's psychic and can read minds (which isn't entirely wrong, he just reads emotions). The bad rep dosen't bother Luka too much, but it gets annoying when his teammates are scared of him.

Pegasus: Despite being a nerd, Max really isn't an uptight person. As long as something dosen't endanger himself, he's open to trying new things. Pegasus isn't. He lowkey believes he's surrounded by idiots including Ladybug (but he obeys her orders cause she hasn't really lost yet). Half of Paris is also terrified by him because he's able to pull off Batman levels of big brain during a fight.

King Monkey: Most of the temp's hero personas have different personalities but King monkey really is just Kim in monkey suit. Max has lowkey sussed out his identity, Kim suspects nothing.

Ryuko: Kagami is calm, which is why no one has figured out her identity because Ryuko is cRaZy. She's like one of those middle schoolers pretending to be their favorite anime character but WITH REAL POWERS! Villains are also scared of her because she has like 3 powers for some reason.

Purple Tigress: What more can I add? We all saw her: a raging cat lesbian. She's a berserker!

Pigella: She's like that one "threatening positivity" post: you will feel better, you have no choice >:)". the Love square between her and Tigress is real also. In fight she's like those really annoying spell casters that hypnotize your party members.

Miss Hound: When Sabrina transforms she just goes full Chloe! All the years of being mistreated come out as her being 10× meaner than any other hero! Miss Hound dodges a villains attack? "And thats why your useless, utterly useless!" She and Vesperia are besties!

Xuppu the Monkey, Kwami of Derision

Xuppu ended up looking a lot more sweet and innocent in this drawing than I intended him to, but I think Xuppu would totally use this to his advantage. xD So... Xuppu, honestly I don't have too much to say about this guy, never been as attached to his character as I have been with the other kwamis. He gets a nose because let the kwamis have noses.

Xuppu and Kim do have the best transformation in the series, honestly Xuppu's and Kim's interactions in Party Crasher were all really good, those two are perfect for each other (perhaps a little too perfect, they're going to be nothing but trouble xD).
