This is SUCH an upgrade from my old clown Florence. My girl has updated features, I gotta let her shine✨Here’s her old one for reference—sorry for the terrible quality lol

If you guys are confused, this is my oc Florence. She’s from a darker-in-theme sci-fi-fantasy, however I for some reason enjoy drawing her and the rest of the cast as clowns. Don’t ask me how this started—I don’t know either. Perhaps this is for a brief respite before they go back to having their world around them crushed again! Isn’t that lovely?

Alright so my plan is to do a rewrite, but most of the initial story is similar to the original (gift from angels, abandoned, Isaac's a murderer, kills Isaac, etc). He was the classic LJ design when young, it's just that he changed as a person..clown..thing..with time

So here's him with his mom soon after being freed and him as a baby (cause drawing small creatures is fun)

AND THIS FELT LIKE A GOOD MOMENT TO POST ANOTHER IDEA yeah so I was listening to Terrible Things by Axie and thought "British man that kills children gets very ironic karma........Isaac" and now puppet Isaac exists

First thing I thought: this is unforgivable. Second; why does this look like a party city sexy egyptian costume, which lead me down a winding side street of thought- is Rivain egyptian coded now. Was it ever coded as North African specifically. I thought egypt was Neverra’s whole deal. And then I thought: wheres the cougar tummy.

inktober day 15, 16, 17, 18, AND 19

-getting caught up! the closer we get to halloween, the more i feel myself tapping into my ~creature~ side. when i was first preparing for this redrawtober, i discovered that most of my old drawings are random monster-esque characters with varying nonhuman features. meanwhile, most of my art from the past few years lean more in the fanart/portrait areas, a.k.a. me working on likeness instead of character design. so it was super fun to go back to my roots this week and find that balance between fantasy and reality. yippee!
