🔥 - a perma-regressor from both physical and mental trauma, touya is almost always a different age than his biological one— it’s the age itself that varies. usually, he’s around his late teens simply due to the coma messing with his development and making him constantly lag behind with those lost years. otherwise, he hovers comfortably around 10-13. It’s nearly impossible to get him any younger; he’s only hit those lower ages during really dire circumstances or when he manages to find a specific thing that triggers it (usually something to do with his mom).

🔥 - when he’s in that younger bracket, he’s very unpredictable and filled with the overwhelming turmoil of unprocessed trauma. he has really severe body dysmorphia in this headspace, which leads to bouts of him being unable to speak due to how alien his voice sounds and him breaking every reflective surface he can find. he can be very volatile during this time, throwing pretty extreme tantrums and meltdowns. he isn’t a “cute” regressor— his brain uses this time to physically process his trauma, even to his detriment. he fights back, he burns, he explodes. it’s full of flashbacks and destruction for anyone who dares to get close enough to him. he’s like a dying star, shifting between beautifully and horrifically bright.

🔥 - he doesn’t enjoy having caregivers. he feels suffocated by people doting on him and he already runs too warm and too sensitive for anyone to get close to him. that said, the league are the closest thing he has to one and, later, he slowly starts to reunite with his family and let them take care of him. either way, it’s a terribly long and painful process— filled with shattered hearts and lots of screaming as everyone figures out what does and doesn’t work. with the league, he likes sticking with toga the most. he hates adults and doesn’t trust men so he likes playing with her. at home, he sticks around his mother and fuyumi for the same reason, and they’re both incredibly gentle and patient with him— which he genuinely believes he doesn’t deserve. eventually, he starts opening up to shouto, who he likes because shouto’s very quiet and subdued which gives touya a rock to latch onto when he’s feeling far too much, and natsuo, who takes the opportunity to flip the script and take care of his older brother the way that touya did for him when they were young.

🔥 - touya is terrified of doctors/hospitals when he’s in that younger age range too, and while he isn’t afraid of fire or his quirk, he does get triggered by large flames (like bonfires or fireplaces) and the smell of smoke. he also hates when it’s too hot— both because his burns get itchy when he’s too sweaty and because the discomfort of heat will throw him into a flashback. as such, both his family and the league go out of their way to keep things colder, even if it means not turning on the heat in the middle of winter.

🔥 - because of his accident, touya medically has a lot of struggles with his body. he is extremely prone to chronic pain and even basic illnesses can lay him out for over a week. on really bad days, he can barely eat or make it to the bathroom and he often has to regress to deal with the pain and discomfort. this means that he’s usually padded during this time as he’s had many accidents from being unable to move from bed. his fear and hatred of nurses and the hospital mean that it’s mostly his family taking care of him, soothing him when it hurts too much and doing everything they can to make him comfortable. this was true with the league, as well, and it was mostly kurogiri making sure that he was okay and taking care of him. shigaraki offered more than once to decay his limbs if they kept giving him trouble, saying that they can replace them with something better and less painful. touya is pretty sure that was his way of telling him to stop groaning so loud, but he appreciated the sentiment even if he’s far too stubborn to take it.

🔥 - he hates basic touch, but he does like deep pressure therapy because he can feel it even with his scarring. this basically means that he doesn’t really enjoy hand holding or hugs, but he does like cuddles if someone is on top of him or they’re holding him tight enough. he really enjoys curling up under a weighted blanket with his family because their quirks keeps him cool and the blanket keeps him regulated (I don’t actually know if it’s ever revealed what fuyumi and natsuo’s quirks are but,,, I’m pretty sure they’re closer to rei’s. if not, this one is for shouto and rei lol)

🔥 - when he comes home, he finds out that his room was boxed up and cleaned out by his father and he spirals into a massive meltdown that nearly burns the entire house down. while fuyumi calms him, holding him tightly and rocking him back and forth while singing songs that she knows her students like, his mother and brothers get to work taking everything from storage and putting it back exactly how it was. the boys base it off pictures while rei uses only her memory because she’s been thinking about touya and his room for years. once it’s fixed and they show him, he immediately drops down to a much lower age. it’s a balancing act— meeting in the middle between what was and what is— and it’s one that takes a lot of work but it soothes him to have things be the way that he remembers because that jarring leap of seeing time passed and everything different freaks him out (it reminds him too much of waking up and suddenly being years older and covered in scars).

🔥 - the league actually knows his name is touya from really early on because he hated being called dabi when he was feeling younger. the easiest way to figure out how old he was, was to call him by a name and see how he reacted. if there wasn’t one, he was at least sixteen. if he scrunched his nose in disgust and pouted, he was around thirteen or so. post war, he actually misses the system a lot because his family struggles to tell how old he is and he hates trying to put a number on the boiling emotions he’s feeling. when he is able to reunite with the league under supervision, he relishes under the familiarity of it and the most settled he’s ever been is with both of his families around him.

Things between you and Lando were still pretty awkward. After all, if someone asked the two of you the night you hooked up where you’d be in a year, a flight to Miami with your newborn baby would not be your answer. You didn’t trust him very much yet, but who could blame you? You expected him to do everything in his power to stay away from you and Camila. But here he was, flying the two of you out to watch him race. Lando really wanted to prove to you that he was all in. That he wasn’t going to take off running the minute things got hard for you two as co-parents. 

You were extremely grateful that Oscar and Lily were on the same jet as you. This made the atmosphere not too uncomfortable. Lily was rocking Camila in her arms as her and Oscar talked a little about Mark Webber. You debated whether you should jump into their conversation after having an extensive f1 research night with your best friend the day before, but you decided to just sit in silence.

You caught Lando staring at you and let out a sigh. This was going to be a long flight.

He scanned the keycard to a nice suite in the same hotel the grid was staying in.

"This will be your room," he said, wandering inside. "Don't worry about where Camila will sleep, the hotel provided a crib."

"Thank you," you said genuinely. He was trying to be thoughtful.

"If you need anything, you have my number." Lando said before leaving the room.

You sat on the edge of your bed and pulled out your phone to check your notifications.

They already found you? And they thought you were a wag? Damn the paparazzi is quick.

You and Lando walked through the sliding doors of the 5 star hotel you were staying at.

"Some of the other drivers and I are gonna go out tonight if you'd like to come? I'm sure they wouldn't mind." he rubbed the back of his neck.

You nodded towards Camila who was in your arms as a silent "I have to take care of her."

He pulled his phone out quickly, “I’m sure I can find someone who can-”

“No, it's ok. Go enjoy yourself.” you said, shaking your head and pushing his phone back down. “Not too much, though. Don’t want you ending up with another unplanned kid.”  

The comment took Lando aback but drew a laugh out of him.

“I’ll see you tomorrow. Congrats on your win.” you smiled, walking back to your room.

Jisung is just your friend. Your favorite co-worker and the only person on your 7pm to 11pm shift that can make you smile. 

Jisung is just your friend that you’re always teamed up with to collect the carts from the parking lot before the store closes. He makes a game out of it, chasing you with carts and racing you to the front of the store. Sometimes when the parking lot is nearly empty he picks you up and puts you in the last cart that he collects. His arms wrap around you with a soft but firm grip as his chest vibrates with laughter, you love it… platonically of course.

Jisung is just your friend that brings you coffee before every shift. Your heart broke when you started to cut down caffeine. You thought that that would end his sweet gestures but he surprised you by bringing you an herbal tea instead, his favorite flavor that he hoped you’d like. Since he likes it you love it.

Jisung is just your friend that comes up behind you when he sees you struggling to get something off of a taller shelf. His hands grounds your hips and his back is against yours as he tells you to let him give it a shot. The small grunts that thrums through him as he stretches himself behind you makes you hot. He chuckles when he realizes that he’s too short to reach it too. “I’ll go get a ladder since we’re both tiny.”

Jisung is just your friend who gives you one of his wireless earbuds when you’re working in the same department. He shared a playlist with you on Spotify so that you can both DJ while you’re organizing the aisles. You can hear him humming along from the opposite side of the aisle, he sounds better than the song in your ear. So much better that you turn the music down until he’s almost all that you can hear. 

Jisung is just your friend who holds your hand to guide you through the crowd of the Saturday afternoon rush. He twists and turns and dodges children running around the busy store with you close behind him. He stops to answer questions, turning to you with an adorable furrow when he doesn’t remember where something is. He holds your hand all the way until you get to the break room. “I can finally breathe.” He jokes as he lets your fingers fall from his. “Let’s hide in here, yeah?” He smiles at you and you at him. 

Jisung is just your friend who buys you lunch on random days throughout the week. He’ll disappear from your section minutes before lunch is supposed to start then he’ll pop up in the break room with your favorite stuff. Whatever you’re craving is what he’s buying. “I just want you to eat well. You worked hard today, you deserve it. Now eat before they throw us back out there.” 

Jisung is just your friend who's never spoken a word about his girlfriend. Does he have one? Is he single? You don’t really care… cause you’re not into him like that but you’re curious. He’s cute, really cute so he couldn’t possibly be single, right?

Jisung is just your friend. He’s your very single friend. “I haven’t dated in months. After my ex moved I just wanted to focus on myself, ya know?” The two of you are pushing carts filled to the top as he ponders his thoughts. “I could start seeing someone now but I think that I’m just waiting for the right person to look at me.” He looks over at you but you’re staring down at your cart. He smiles to himself.

Jisung is just your friend who drives you home on nights when your shift runs a bit later than it should. “Can’t have a pretty girl like you walking home near midnight.” You always blush when he teases you. He opens the passenger door for you with a cute small smile and you look away from him. Why does he always make you blush so hard?

Jisung is just your friend who turns up his radio and sings along to the song he’s been wanting to show you for days. He says that it’s his new favorite but you notice that it’s not what he typically likes. It’s softer and slower than his usual taste. You ask him what he likes about it as he turns onto your block.

Jisung is just your friend who looks you in the eye once he parks “It reminds me of you.”

Jisung is just your friend. Jisung is just your friend. He didn’t mean it like that .

Jisung did mean it like that. He turns towards you, shifting in the driver's seat and pushing his hair out of his face. He turns the radio down so that you can hear him. He needs you to hear him. “I know that we’ve been friends for awhile and I’ve loved every second of that but I don’t think that I wanna be friends anymore. I wanna know if you’ll allow me to be more than that.”

Jisung is not just your friend, he's the boy that you’ve had a crush on for months and he’s confessing to you right now. He’s making your heart race and your leg shake and your mouth dry. He’s looking over at you with hopeful eyes hoping that you’ll say yes to him or anything at all at this point.

Jisung is your crush that you’d be a fool to turn down. You muster up all of the courage hiding within you to sit up straighter and talk to him. You work yourself up to confess right back. Words start to form and you slowly push them out of your mouth, molding each one as perfectly as you can in the moment. “I would love for you to be more than that.”

Jisung is your crush who smiles to himself when you confess but you miss it, you’re looking away from him like you usually do when he makes you feel like this. When he makes you feel like you’re hugging the sun with a butterfly garden in your stomach. He thinks it’s cute but he wants to see your eyes. He wants you, the right person, to look at him.

Jisung is your crush who leans towards you and gently reaches for your hand that’s resting on your shaking knee. The touch snaps your attention over to him. Your eyes are finally on him. “Could you say that again? But this time, will you look at me? I wanna see your pretty eyes when you confess.” Your gaze wavers and he chuckles, fuck you’re so cute. “I’m over here.” He teases, big boba eyes shining as they try to find yours. 

You’re looking at Jisung, sparkling eyes staring into each other when you confess again. His hand holds yours as he pulls you through the emotions you’ve been storing away in your chest. He pulls you right into this moment, grounding you with his gaze and sharing beguiling smiles. 

Jisung was just your friend but now he’s so much more.
