Hey again! Was thinkin' about music (as one obsessed with music does) and I was curious what you were into! :D
Genres, bands, albums, any songs specifically you recommend to me or anyone else? Any small bands or underrated songs you think could use some love?
Also, do you own any physical music? Vinyls, CDs, tapes, something more obscure? (Reel to reel/8track/etc)
And as a little bonus question, favorite transformers soundtrack? (Which show/movie/game did you think had the best (in your opinion) theme/backing tracks)
Tumblr media
Well…Heh…I am one of those people who say they like everything and then hate on a bunch of stuff. AHSBHAV no that’s a joke, but it would be easier to say what I don’t like rather than what I do like. I don’t like the specific genre of pop that is Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, and most just popular pop songs, I guess? Like I DO like pop but not that kind of pop. I also have a thing that I need my music to be at least a little loud and energetic because most calm music (like lo-fi) stresses me out (don’t question me.). But I’d say my most listened to genres are metal, rock, hyperpop and electronic (in that order).
I have a really hard time PICKING OUT things for this reason but I’ll give you a screenshot of my most recent added songs to my playlist because those are usually my recent favourites. 2 sec hold on.
Tumblr media
Alright there it is. I also just realised I said that like I was texting somebody and having a live conversation but I’m not changing it now.
If I’d have to say anything, I AM IN LOVE with Jay Ray’s stuff. High recommend. I think Jay Ray is big in the tf community though so UAGEUA. If I had to mention like one thing I have that I actually think may not be listened to by many it’s BREAK by Jimmy Here. I wish that song was longer because that scream it has in the end is BANGER. (And yes that is the “it is wednesday my dudes” guy. Yes I watch his videos). Six feet under by kissin’ dynamite is also recently one of my favourites. Can also, ALWAYS, recommend infected mushroom. Specifically “becoming insane” and “The Pretender”. Imma just list some more that I like rq
Drone corpse aviator - Archspire
Frank sinatra
KittenSneeze
System of a down
Odetari
AUDIT - weevildoing
Soft Cell
The Tornado - Owl City
Aleph - Gesaffelstein (This is my locking in song)
Animals - Muse
Bon Jovi
Imagine dragons
Insane Clown Posse
Queen
100 gecs
Lemon Demon
BOOGIE - BROCKHAMPTON
I could go on but we could be here for days guys I’m stopping myself here. And I also recommend every single song in the screenshot. YIPPEE.
I’d like to link you to a previous post where I mention some artists I listen to: here
The problem is that I’m a song listener. Not an album listener, not an artist/band listener. I find a singular song I like, add it to my playlist, and move on. AHBSHA My friends hate me for it. And for that reason I also have no physical music. Only a bit of band merch from my absolute faves (Slipknot and mother mother hehe)
And now I must admit…an EMBARRASSINGLY big portion of the songs on my playlist comes from the Bumblebee movie (and it’s not transformers media, but some of the songs on the screenshot are from THE FUCKING FALLOUT SERIES (it was banger)). AUEHUA They aren’t originals so I’m not gonna count it as much BUT THE SONGS FROM G1…OH BOY YOU CAN NEVER GO WRONG. Those are mf BANGERS. We need to go back to rock songs in animated kids movies. I have “The touch” on my goddamn playlist and no I’m not ashamed about it. I also have jort storm by Slimecicle because I’m a gunky goober who wears jorts.

only fools rush in / part one: two parties and a lot of crushes
this first part is kind of all over the place. basically i just wanted to establish the dynamics going on here and i figured the best way to do so would be through group hang outs and stuff like that. it feels like i cover a lot here, but future installments will be more focused on one couple or group! sorry for the kind of wackiness and yeah.
i don’t think that there’s anything that i need to tag for this, but this part includes: QPP loceit, Remus making jokes, Roman crushing hard, Emile and Remy very briefly.
[masterlist]
if you want to be tagged when i update, please send me an ask/reply/reblog and i’ll be sure to add you for the next part!
read to the end for the title and a small teaser for part two!
next update will be on: Sunday, July 19.

“Wait, you have a twin?” Patton looked at Roman in deep disbelief. “Why didn’t you get an apartment with him?” Roman just shrugged, unloading one of his boxes, hanging up his shirts. “Lo, did you know about this?”
“Yes. He’s one of Janus’ new roommates,” the man in the tie said, leaning against the wall, eyes focused on the phone in his hand as he typed quickly. Patton’s jaw dropped, and he crossed his arms, frowning.
“Yeah, he’s moving in with Virgil Cloud, too,” Roman said, eyes focused forward, but he couldn’t hide the light dusting of pink that appeared on his cheeks. Virgil was the techie for the last school production, and Roman couldn’t help but fall for the embodiment of a dark and stormy night, with his black nail polish and purple fringe and–
“Earth to Roman,” Patton was waving a hand in front of his face. Roman blinked, then smiled awkwardly at his pastel-clad roommate. “You should invite them all to a party tonight! Logan, will you tell Jan to bring his roommates?”
“I- we were gonna…” Logan sighed, then nodded, head hanging in front of him, “I guess so.” He didn’t have the heart to tell his roommates that he and his partner had other plans for the evening, so he texted Janus quickly about the change.
Roman and Patton want you to bring your roommates over for a party tonight. We can leave early, though. -Logan
A party could be fun, Lo. Besides, I think that Virgil has a crush on Roman. ~Janus
I believe that it’s mutual. I don’t really want to stick my nose into their business, though. -Logan
-
Logan opened the door to the apartment to see Janus, Remus, and Virgil standing there. Remus was holding a twelve-pack of beer, Janus had a bottle of wine, and Virgil kept his eyes down on the floor, not acknowledging anything as the three stepped into the apartment. Logan kept the door open since it was already warm in the apartment with the three of them; the end of summer was always unbearably hot in their town. Roman immediately gravitated towards Virgil as the others went over to the kitchen counter to open their drinks.
“Hi Virgil,” Roman said, smiling brightly. “I don’t know if you remember me–”
“Of course I do,” Virgil muttered, leaning against a wall awkwardly. “You were the lead in the play last term.” Roman stammered over his words, his cheeks once again dusted with pink.
“Oh, yeah, yeah, that…” he chuckled awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck. “You uh, did a really great job as one of the tech guys. It was… awesome.”
“Thanks.” Virgil stuffed his hands into his jacket pockets, and he still hadn’t looked up at Roman.
“Can I uh… get you a drink or something? Or…” Roman’s words trailed off, he wished that Virgil would just look up at him and meet his eyes and then maybe they’d fall in love–
“Hey there!” Emile stepped in through the open front door, carrying a plate full of baked goods. “I just wanted to welcome you… oh, looks like somebody’s having a party!” Roman grumbled then went up to the man in the sweater, wondering how he could cope in the heat. “Hi there! I’m Emile Picani, I live downstairs!” “Nice to meet you. I’m Roman, and my roommates Patton and Logan are… somewhere,” he said, sticking his hand out. Emile giggled and brought the tall man in for a hug. “Oh, uh…”
“Sorry, I’m a bit of a hugger!” Emile laughed, setting the cookies down on a table. “You all go to the university? I’m working on my psychology doctorate there.” At this, Virgil perked up and came over, and Emile held his arms out for a hug.
“Please don’t,” Virgil muttered, and Emile backed up a little, giving a toothy smile. “Uh… you study psychology? I’m majoring in that…” He said shyly, and Emile pulled him by his wrist to sit down on one of the couches.
“Okay, I’m your mentor now! Let’s chat,” The two went to go sit down on the couch, and Roman frowned. Of course Virgil would be interested in chatting with someone in his field of study, but… he really wanted to talk to Virgil, maybe ask him on a date. He stuffed one of the cookies that Emile made into his mouth and groaned at how delicious they were. Of course he could bake. He’d probably be able to steal Virgil away, too.
Remus was watching this from his spot against one of the walls, and noticed his twin’s distraught demeanor. He thought about saying something, but out of the corner of his eye he saw Patton smiling brightly at something that Janus said, his sweater sleeves pushed up to his elbows, exposing colorful floral tattoos on his forearms, and that was it: Remus was smitten. He didn’t hesitate to approach the trio talking at the kitchen counter, Janus and Logan sharing a bar stool, Patton resting his chin on his hands as he listened to the pair recall how they decided to become partners over the summer break. Remus settled into a chair next to Patton, and silence fell over the table.
“I don’t believe we’ve met, cutie pie,” Remus said, raising an eyebrow at the small man. Janus and Logan exchanged a look and got up to go chat with Roman, and Patton turned his attention to focus directly on Remus.
“You must be Remus!” Patton exclaimed suddenly, eyes bright as his smile beamed at the curly-haired man, and Remus suddenly wished that he was wearing sunglasses. “I can’t believe I didn’t know that Ro had a twin!”
“Ah, you must be Patton,” Remus said, realizing that this was the roommate he didn’t know. Patton nodded excitedly. Remus stretched his hand out and grazed his fingers against the floral tattoos, and Patton shivered. “These are beautiful, though not as gorgeous as you, flower.”
“T-thank you,” Patton said, his face bright red at the fact that he was complimented and given a nickname. “Do you have tattoos?” Remus nodded and rolled up one of his jacket sleeves, revealing a morning star.
“I minor in medieval history. Weaponry is so fascinating,” he mused, and Patton nodded, brushing his short fingers over the tattoo. “I have a few more, but they’re in… unique places… Maybe I can show you someday, flower.”
“O-oh, uhm…” Patton stammered over his words, the blush spreading down to his neck and to his ears. “M-maybe…” Remus smirked, leaning closer to the small man.
“If I’m making you uncomfortable, please tell me,” He whispered, and Patton shook his head quickly, which made Remus smile. Patton wasn’t exactly Remus’ usual type; soft boys never paid much attention to those with piercings and a menacing glare, but Remus quickly realized that Patton wasn’t like the others.
“Y-You’re not…” Patton’s face was so red and warm that he felt like he could explode. No one like Remus had ever paid him this much attention. He was always taunted by jocks and punks because of his softness, but Remus? The dark makeup, the piercings, the tattoos, and the leather jacket, it all made him feel… dangerous. And Patton secretly loved danger.
Roman was leaning against the wall, watching as everyone else had someone to talk to. His twin was hitting it off with Patton, Janus and Logan were sitting on one of the couches, looking at something on Logan’s phone, and Emile and Virgil were on another couch, talking about psychology. He had never felt left out from any situation in his life before, but here he was, alone in a room full of people.
He couldn’t help but focus on Virgil, who had lit up as he talked about things that Roman knew nothing about. Roman was, of course, happy that Virgil was smiling, but he wished he was the one making the very tall man smile. Emile seemed nice enough, but… something about him irked Roman to no end.
“Oh, hang on,” Emile’s phone was ringing, the tune to a cartoon that Roman vaguely remembered blasting out loudly. He answered the phone, and Roman listened carefully. “Oh, sorry baby! I’m upstairs welcoming our new neighbors. I’ll be right there. Okay, bye.” He hung up and glanced around. “Sorry, that was my boyfriend Remy, I have to go!” He gave a hug to Virgil who waved goodbye awkwardly, then went around hugging everyone, and then left the apartment, closing the front door behind him. Virgil looked like he was going to melt into the couch, and Roman took this as his moment. He sat down next to the tall man and gave him a warm smile.
“So, uh, what do you think the production will be for this term?” Roman asked, and Virgil shrugged. “I’m hoping for a musical, but I’m not much of a dancer…”
“I kind of want something that allows me to experiment with fog on the stage, you know?” Virgil said, glancing down. “I’m not brave enough to audition for any roles on the stage, but I really like working behind the scenes…” Roman frowned, watching Virgil carefully.
“Well, when they announce the production and if there’s a role that interests you, I could help you… practice, maybe? To build up your confidence,” he suggested, but Virgil just shook his head. “I used to get stage fright really bad. But… if it’s something you love doing… then it’s worth all of that anxiety, right?”
“Is it?” Virgil’s voice was shaky. “In one of my school plays as a kid I fell on my face in front of everybody during my solo. Afterwards, I found out that someone purposely spilled water where they knew I’d be walking.” He twisted his fingers together, and Roman frowned. “Ever since, I haven’t wanted to be on stage in front of others.”
“No one would do that here,” Roman said reassuringly. “If they did, I’d beat them up until they fell on the ground, too,” his face was firm, resolved, and it made Virgil laugh a little. “I think… you should try. I’d love to perform with you.”
“Yeah… maybe,” Virgil looked down at him finally, and Roman thought he would melt into a puddle on the floor. “Thanks, Roman.”
-
“Remus is so cool, you know? And he’s so sweet,” Patton was blabbering. It was a few weeks after the party, and the three roommates were playing Mario Kart in the living room. In the time since that first party, the semester had started and they were all buried in school work, and had only seen the other three in passing or going out to dinner as a group. “N-not that you’re not cool, Roman, it’s just… he’s on a different level!”
“Yeah, a dangerous level,” Roman muttered so that Patton couldn’t hear, but Logan did, and he sighed. Roman didn’t want to reveal his fraught relationship with his brother to Patton, but he also wanted to protect the soft, small man. But… Patton was so enthralled, and Roman had never seen him that way. He seemed happier since meeting Remus, and had a confidence that didn’t exist in him before. But Roman definitely had a surge of concern for the other man.
“Do you think we should invite them all over today?” Patton suggested as he finally rolled over the finish line, in second to last place. Logan had gotten first, of course, and Roman a close second. This was the usual for their games.
“I actually have plans with Janus–” Logan started, but then his phone rang. He answered it. “Hello? Oh, hi Janus… what? But we were…” he sighed, then covered the receiver while he looked at the two others. “Remus wants to invite us all to their place for a movie night or something.”
“Yes!!” Patton exclaimed happily. “Oh, I should figure out what to wear. What time, Lo?” He asked, his excitement bubbling over. It was contagious. Roman could practically see the cogs in Patton’s mind moving as he thought about what to wear and how to do his makeup.
“Eight, apparently,” Logan responded, his lips pulled into a taut line. He brought the receiver back towards his mouth. “I guess we will be there. Yeah, see you later. Bye.” He hung up, a frown on his face. Roman wondered if he should dress nice, too, since he’d be seeing Virgil.
“Dibs on the first shower!” Roman exclaimed, dropping his controller and running off to the bathroom. Three guys and one bathroom wasn’t ideal, but it was what they had to deal with.
By the time all three of them had gotten ready, it was almost 7:30. Roman went with his usual attire, as opposed to Patton, who went a little overboard (probably to try and impress Remus): he was wearing a pale green sweater and some shorts, knee-high socks, and his converse, his makeup bright and colorful, the emphasis on his lips and eyes. Logan was wearing his usual attire as well, but had slipped into a coat since they’d be walking to the other building. It was only a few blocks away, but things always got sidetracked when Roman and Patton were involved.
Once Patton slung his messenger bag over his shoulder, the three set out to the others’ apartment. On their way down, they passed Emile, who was walking into the building with another man, their fingers intertwined.
“Hey kiddos!” Emile said cheerfully, waving his free hand at them. “Remy, these are the new neighbors I told you about!” The man called Remy raised his eyebrows then nodded in greeting.
“Hey babes,” he said.
“Where are you all going together?” Emile asked, and Roman thought it was a bit nosy to ask of them, but he said nothing.
“Oh, we’re going to Roman’s twin brother’s apartment–”
“Yes, and we really should get going now. Goodbye Emile, nice to meet you Remy,” Roman began to nudge Patton along the sidewalk, and Logan shot the couple an apologetic glance.
-
“Ugh, this movie is booooooring!” Remus yelled, startling the others. He had thrown his arms up in frustration. Logan and Janus were on the couch, trying to wait for the right moment to leave since they had their own plans. Remus, Roman, and Patton were on the floor or on cushions, eating the pizza they’d ordered, and Virgil was on the lounge chair, just observing.
“You’re the one who suggested a movie, idiot,” Virgil muttered, crossing his arms. Remus frowned, then finished off his bottle of beer. He made a soft hmmm noise, then began speaking again.
“This empty bottle gives me an idea. Spin the bottle, anyone? Or perhaps… truth or dare with spin the bottle?” He suggested, eyebrows wiggling. Patton’s face turned bright red, and some of the others all mumbled their disagreement.
“Isn’t that game for high schoolers, Re?” Roman asked, rolling his eyes. He glanced at Virgil, though, and wondered what it would be like to kiss him tonight. Not that he’d ever do that, Virgil hadn’t shown any interest in him, but…
“Sounds like fun,” Janus said, smirking from his spot next to Logan, who pouted. Janus noticed this and pressed a quick kiss to his cheek. “Oh, come now, Lolo, just a round or two and then we can go, okay? You know how much I love truth or dare.” Logan sighed, then nodded.
“Fine, a few rounds.”
The group moved the coffee table out of the way and sat in a circle, the empty beer bottle laying in the middle of all of them. “Alright, rule time,” Remus started. “The spinner asks the person it lands on for truth or dare, and then must ask them. The person who last did the thing spins it next. Capiche?” Roman shrugged and then pat Remus on the shoulder.
“You spin first, bro,” he said, settling in as he sat cross-legged on the floor. Remus shrugged and leaned forward, spinning the bottle. It pointed towards Logan, who sighed. Remus smirked, crossing his arms, deep in thought.
“Truth or dare?” Remus asked finally, meeting Logan’s eyes. It was silent for a few moments as Logan pondered his options. Janus leaned over and whispered something in Logan’s ear, and his partner nodded.
“Truth,” Logan said confidently, and Remus raised an eyebrow.
“Would you wear your best friend’s used underwear if you went camping and ran out?” Remus asked, and Patton giggled, covering his mouth to prevent spit from flying everywhere.
“Uh…” Logan glanced at Janus, who was trying to hide his laughter at the audacity of the question. “Yeah, I would? I’ve worn Janus’ underwear before–”
“Whoah, whoah, too much info, stop,” Virgil waved his hands, groaning. Patton pouted a little, frowning at Logan and Janus.
“I thought I was your best friend, Lo?” He asked, and Logan hit his forehead with his hand.
“You- Pat, ugh,” Logan was exasperated, and he glanced at Patton carefully. “You’re both my best friends, okay?” Patton seemed pleased with this answer, a smile crossing his features again. Logan leaned forward to spin the bottle, and it landed on Remus. “Uh…”
“I mean, if it’s just you two who get to play, that’s fine,” Virgil commented, leaning his back on the lounge chair behind him.
“Maybe if it lands on Logan again, though, you respin?” Patton suggested, and everyone else nodded in agreement. Remus shrugged, and then nodded to Logan.
“Dare me, Lodaddy,” he cackled, and Janus rolled his eyes, but still slid his hand over to rest on Logan’s thigh, a protective glare directed at Remus.
“I dare you to get an A in one of your courses this semester,” Logan smirked, adjusting his glasses. A few of the others grumbled about how that wasn’t fair, but Remus nodded in acceptance and held out his hand to shake Logan’s.
“Dealio!” He spun the bottle again and it landed on Roman. “Alright, twinny twin, truth or dare?” He waggled his eyebrows at his twin.
“I know better than for you to ask me a truth. So, dare,” Roman said, confident with his decision. An evil look crossed Remus’ eyes only briefly as he glanced between Roman and Virgil.
“Kiss the back of Virgil’s knee,” he said simply, and Roman nearly choked on his own saliva. Virgil buried his face in his hands, grumbling a little. Patton started to defend the two.
“Now, Virgil, you don’t have to–”
“Yes I do, it’s a fucking dare,” Virgil mumbled, standing up. He rolled one of his pant legs up and turned around so the back of his leg was facing Roman, whose face was bright red and who felt like his breath was being stolen from him. “Just make it quick, Princey.” Roman turned more red at the nickname, which probably stemmed from his role in the production from the previous semester. He scooted over to Virgil and pressed his lips to the bend between Virgil’s thigh and calf, and then scooted back, saying nothing. The tall man rolled his pant leg back down and sat down, explicitly not looking at Roman. His pale face was lightly pink.
After a few awkward beats, Roman leaned forward and spun the battle. It landed on Patton, who looked to be in deep thought. “Truth or dare, Pat?”
“Hmmm. I think truth is safer,” Patton admitted, and Roman thought a little. He hoped that his plan would work, but was concerned over what could come from a question like this. He really did want happiness for Patton, even if his brother was involved.
“What are three things you first noticed when you met your crush, if you have one?” Roman asked, and Patton glanced down at his fingers, twisting them together, his face dusted with a pale blush. Remus perked up a little, listening carefully to the answer the small man gave.
“U-um… well… I noticed that he has gray in his hair, that he has a lot of piercings, and that he has a cute smile,” Patton said this so quietly that everyone had to lean in to hear it. Patton’s face was bright red by the time he finished listing off the attributes, and everyone’s eyes trailed over to Remus, who was smirking. Patton quietly excused himself and practically ran to the restroom, grabbing his bag along the way, leaving the rest of the group in an awkward silence.
“Fuck, that’s on me,” Roman said, standing up. “I’ll go… check on him,” he said, and he followed Patton to the bathroom, knocking on the door once. “Pat, it’s me Roman, are you okay?”
“Why did you ask me that?” Patton asked from the other side of the door. It sounded like he was crying, since he was sniffling a little bit. “You know I like him, but I wasn’t ready to say anything, Ro.”
“I’m sorry, Patton, I just… I saw that you liked him and figured a little nudge could help…” Roman explained, then sighed. Maybe he had overstepped a little. “Do you wanna go home?”
“Roman,” a voice came from behind him. It was Remus. “Is he okay?” Concern was etched on his face, and he had crossed his arms. Roman was surprised to see this much care coming from his twin.
“Is that Remus? Oh god, hang on,” Patton sounded like he was panicking. “Where are my makeup remover wipes–” A clattering of things falling out of his messenger bag could be heard. “Shoot!” Remus and Roman exchanged a look as the noises of Patton being flustered echoed into the hallway. “I can’t believe… such a fool… dang it… stop crying, idiot…”
“Patton,” Remus stepped past Roman to knock on the door. “Patton, it’s okay… I uh…” He cleared his throat, “my first impressions of my crush were that he has really awesome floral tattoos, his pink hair is awesome, and he dresses in a really cute way.” He admitted. Roman started to back up, but saw Patton open the door and peek out.
“R-really…?” He asked. It was obvious he had been crying, his eyes were red and his eyeliner had smudged, but he had wiped the majority of it off. “Um…”
“Patton, do you wanna go on a date with me next weekend?”
Roman scooted out of earshot, and stepped back into the living room, but not before he heard Patton squeak out an affirmation. Janus and Logan had disappeared, maybe off to go and do whatever their plans were, and Virgil was scrolling on his phone.
“Sorry about Remus’ dare. If I’d have known about what he’d ask me to do, I would’ve gone with a truth instead,” Roman admitted. Virgil’s face hardened, but the theater major didn’t notice this. “I’d hate to make you uncomfortable.”
“Uh, it’s okay…” Virgil didn’t meet Roman’s eyes, though, as he sat down beside him on the couch. “Actually, um. I was looking at the roles for this next production? Have you looked yet?” Of course Roman had looked. They were going to be doing a production of Wicked, and Roman was absolutely stoked for it.
“Yeah, I’m planning on auditioning for Fiyero…” Roman mused, then remembered the conversation he had with Virgil a few weeks ago. “Is there a role you’re interested in, Virgil?”
“Um, actually, I’ve always loved Boq, but… I don’t know if I’m talented enough for that,” he admitted, twisting his fingers together. “Plus I’m a little tall to play a Munchkin.” Roman sighed, then smiled encouragingly at the taller man.
“Well, I can help you practice for the audition, if you’d like!” Roman said, and Virgil nodded. “I don’t think your height will affect anything, it’s all about talent!”
“Oh. Yeah… I’d uh… really appreciate that, actually.” Virgil responded, still looking down at his hands. “I just… auditioning is really scary, you know?” Roman shrugged, then set his hand on Virgil’s shoulder.
“Maybe they’ll let us audition together, so that way you’ve got a familiar face on stage,” he suggested. Virgil nodded, a small smile appearing on his face. “Hey, don’t worry, Virge. I think you’re gonna do great.”

“I’ve never seen you so panicked over a first date, so I think that means that this is… real for you. You’re going to take this one seriously.”

& , high tide.
On Monday, November 30, you are called by one of the staff members to a meeting with Kim Hyuncheol, head manager of the trainees; Park Jeongan, current CEO; Lee Iseul, head creative director; and Roe Kangdae, head manager of LGC Creatives. “Please take a seat.” The staff member spoke before giving a brief explanation of the interview process and how you will be asked a question related to yourself and Future Dreams. Not a lot was revealed as to why the interview was conducted except for the fact that it was to help them understand their trainees on a more personal level.
The question that was asked was, “Reading for application form, it seems to us that you took none of the questions seriously. We’re seriously wondering why you decided to join and if you’re going to treat the competition as a joke like you did almost everything else. Acting like a clown can be a great asset in variety shows, but even the funniest entertainers like Bae Siwoo work hard behind the scenes and never take their career lightly. Here’s a serious question for you, and be very careful how you choose to answer it: how will you convince us that we should even consider you for a debut?”. Once you finish answering the question, the staff ends the interview by thanking you and telling you to have a nice day.
junhwan is of the opinion that nothing good can come from getting called in to see kim hyuncheol, regardless of the context, or who else is there too. but situations like this are especially bad. seated across from the panel, legs crossed at the ankle in a conscious effort not to manspread, junhwan feels like he’s back in high school. he spent a lot of his time there in front of a similar group of people, with similar disapproving looks on their faces. he left school to get away from this shit, but somehow, he’s ended up coming full circle.
their questions sting like theirs too, and it strikes junhwan for the first time that maybe he’s the problem. he doesn’t have a good reason as to why he doesn’t take anything seriously – he doesn’t even know if they’re asking exclusively about his application form and audition, or if they’re just asking generally. he knows that he hasn’t exactly garnered much of a reputation for being serious, but junhwan is suddenly overcome with the desire to prove them wrong. maybe it’s a dormant competitive streak waking up. or, more likely, it’s the sick realization that this isn’t like dropping out of school. if he fucks this up, he really doesn’t have anywhere left. his parents just about tolerated him during his rare visits to see them. he has no chance of passing the csat or getting to university. proving them wrong is the only real option left.
wringing his hands together, junhwan squashes the urge to ask if they were serious about the competition. asking him to move in over text instead of in person? so immature. instead, he looks at everyone in the room in the eye except for hyuncheol, who he pretends to look in the eye by looking at his eyebrows.
“the best way for me to deal with stressful things is with humour, although i hadn’t thought about how it might come across to others.” junhwan speaks slowly, weighing each word out on his tongue. every single one of them feels heavy. he can’t fall back on a joke now though. their questions – and devestatingly accurate assertions – have backed him into a corner where he’s forced to be honest. vulnerability, in junhwan’s own opinion, doesn’t suit him. “i can guarantee that at least one of my answers was serious. i am my own biggest threat, because of poor… coping… personality… flaws like this.” he holds back a grimace. it probably looks like he’s holding back a fart. is this shit going to be aired? holy fuck. “but even though it may not seem like i’m taking it seriously, i am.” he neglects to add anything about being a dropout or about how he’ll make up for everything. he doesn’t need to come across as any more pathetic than he already does right now. “i meant it too, that i can be a good moodmaker for the group, not just when variety shows call for a goofy personality. i really do think i could be good for morale and diffusing tense situations.”
but then they ask. they ask how he can prove himself, and junhwan’s stomach turns. are they really making him grovel for his place? “i’m more than just a clown.” honestly, he’s not even that funny and he knows it. “i feel like i’ve proved that throughout my training. i’ve worked hard to become a good dancer, and i’ve worked hard to learn how to sing and rap from scratch. if i didn’t take this seriously, i would’ve quit a long time ago.” he pauses, as a voice in his head tells him that won’t be enough. all of the guys here could say the exact same thing. junhwan’s heart almost falls out of his ass as he psychs himself up to lower himself down. “i joke around too much, i know. it’s because it’s easier on my mental state than if i was to be serious, but i’ll show you a more serious side of me going forward, if that’s what it takes. i went through a lot to get here, and i’m not going to give up my home so easily.” the closest thing he has to a home, at least.
thank you. enjoy the rest of your day.
junhwan swears they’re a bunch of sadists. as he quickly bows his goodbyes, he feels very, very close to throwing up, and books it out of there as fast as he can. the air around him as he walks is thick, and difficult to push through, even after he shuts the door behind him. while dragging his feet en route to the nearest bathroom, junhwan cracks his arms. his right elbow still doesn’t crack with the same satisfaction as the other, months after healing. it’s unsettling, but it’s something unfixable. he could really, really use a drink.

The most effective method to Find A Criminal Defense Lawyer With 7 Key Questions
You can't believe it's transpiring. There's a pit in your stomach as the cop begins coming toward you and articulates the words "I'm capturing you for a criminal offense."
youtube
Your mind begins dashing with musings like " What on the planet am I going to do? How is this going to affect my life, opportunity, family, work? What would i be able to do to ensure myself? How would I choose the correct lawyer so I have the most ideal legal assistance?"
Unfortunately, this emergency is an opportunities for anybody. Blameless individuals are accused of violations because of various conditions, for example, innocent mix-ups, or enthusiastic, or malevolent activities by others. Good individuals likewise commit errors and choose some unacceptable game-plan in a troublesome circumstance.
Whatever the case is, you certain enough need the best portrayal you can get.
Out of nowhere Nothing is More Important
You understand that a conviction will effectsly affect your life so it's imperative to look for the best lawyer you can manage, regardless of whether you need an Oklahoma criminal protection lawyer (my state) or one who can speak to you in another condition of the U.S.
Furthermore, despite the fact that you are "under a lot of pressure" to hire somebody, this decision must be made with care. All things considered, if your life was undermined in a health related crisis, for example, requiring cerebrum medical procedure, you likely wouldn't need the least expensive specialist to perform it. Besides, you shouldn't choose a lawyer dependent on who charges the least. While, doesn't really mean you need to hire the most costly person.
How Are You Supposed to Pick a Criminal Defense Attorney, at that point?
Would it be a good idea for you to hire your brother by marriage home arranging lawyer, or the lawyer who dealt with your secondary school companion's separation? Shouldn't something be said about setting off to the business index and picking the lawyer on the principal page of the lawyer postings, or the law firm with a two page promotion?
I don't advocate any of those techniques for somebody accused of a criminal offense. The issue is that since somebody went to law school and got through the law oriented test, that doesn't mean the individual is successful and experienced in criminal safeguard. Many have never gone to a court.
All Lawyers Are Not the Same
In the clinical field there are specialists who spend significant time in specific pieces of the body thus, as well, numerous lawyers focus on only a couple zones of the law. There are simply such a large number of kinds of law for somebody to be a specialist in each territory.
Think of it along these lines. Do you truly think that somebody who invests the majority of their energy composing and arranging contracts for businesses would be as viable in the court as a lawyer with many years of involvement with criminal law?
Likewise, when you hire a specialist, you need to expect that the cost will be higher than recruiting another person with just a moderate measure of information or experience.
That drives us to:
7 Key Questions to Find the Right Lawyer for your Criminal Defense
1. The main question to ask would be just, what number years has the lawyer rehearsed criminal law.Someone with a reasonable number of long periods of involvement, for example, 10 years or more, would be liked. Your future is too imperative to even think about handing over your protection to another law school graduate.
2. The second question you'll need to become familiar with the response to will be the number of preliminaries has the lawyer taken care of. This is significant on the grounds that your lawyer ought to be comfortable and sure with the cycle. There are a few purported "criminal lawyers" who seldom, or never go to preliminary and are known as "settling lawyers". Ordinarily they aren't happy in preliminaries, and regardless of whether it isn't best for their client, they find an approach to settle without going to preliminary. The indictment can detect that dread of going to preliminary, which can detrimentally affect conceivable supplication expecting the client. Unquestionably, a lawyer who has attempted 50 to at least 100 cases will keep up a more grounded dealing position.
3. Something else you ought to decide is the quantity of jury preliminaries the lawyer has dealt with. Extra specialized topics are required in jury preliminary with features like choosing hearers, and realizing that how will generally be influential to jury individuals. As you can likely conjecture, more involvement in jury preliminaries is superior to less. In the event that your lawyer has taken care of 40 or 50 jury preliminaries, the person ought to have taken in a ton about procedure here.
4. While you can absolutely get some information about their experience, a surprisingly better approach to confirm that is through a dependable accreditation measure. A few states perceive specializations in various regions of law and if a lawyer qualifies as per the state's necessities, he can mirror that specialization in his promoting and publicizing materials. Notwithstanding, numerous states don't permit specializations (counting my province of Oklahoma). Luckily, there is a public accreditation accessible through the National Board of Trial Advocacy This is a thorough confirmation measure, requiring huge involvement with criminal preliminaries, a composed test, peer audit and recertification at regular intervals.
In the event that a lawyer has accomplished this confirmation, you host an impartial third get-together approval of her experience, rather than depending basically on what the lawyer says about her capacity.
5. Something different you ought to get some information about is the way and when the lawyer will speak with you. Utilize the main counsel (which is regularly free, anyway make certain to solicit ahead from time) to evaluate whether you will be agreeable and sure giving your case over to this person.
6. Try to inquire as to whether the lawyer you think you are recruiting will really be the person who is taking care of your case. This is significant on the grounds that a few firms will have you converse with a lead lawyer at first and afterward give your case to a more up to date lawyer in the firm to deal with. I believe a criminal accusation merits an accomplished and prepared lawyer, not somebody simply out of law school.

❛ ✶ ( MAIA MITCHELL, CISFEMALE, SHE/HER ) spotted ! LORELEI GUNTHER was spotted singing along to GHOST by AWKWAFINA in hilton grove. you’ve heard of them right ? they are a TWENTY-TWO year old MUSICIAN who has already amassed a net worth of 30M. you should really follow them on insta @STARR, they’re about to hit 6.5M followers. the tabloids have been calling them the ISOLATO because they are known for being + OBSERVANT but also a bit - RECLUSIVE. though most people recognize them by THE RINGS OF SATURN, THE DIZZYING NEON OF THE DANCE FLOOR, SILVER STITCHED INTO WEIGHTLESS CHIFFON & BEING A SUPERNOVA SO BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE FORGET YOU’RE A DYING STAR. — ooc info (alys. 22. est. she/her.)
hellooo!!!! woke up this morning to see hilton will probably be opening today so i realized i better write my intro. i’m ally, i have Depression and too much time on my hands, and those are two things i have in common with my muse, lorrie!!!!! she’s like a hannah montana/lady gaga type pop star. pls like this post for me to hyu on discord !!
(cc/vc: lorde)
background. (tl;dr at bottom)
born to a lower class family in boston, ma, into the gunther name which were once great musicians back in austria. her father took this very seriously and so named her brothers after composers (johann and wolfgang) and herself after the siren of the rhine.
he wanted very badly for them to be successful in music and in life, so lorrie had a lot of pressure from the outset. also, her parents went through a very messy divorce early in life.
she developed severe anxiety by the time she was in first grade, and was diagnosed selectively mute. the only people she would talk to for years were her brother wolfy, and her oma, who lived with them.
did manage to get some treatment and eventually recovered, mostly thanks to her oma, who taught her how to express herself, mostly through music.
her oma died two years later, when lorrie was thirteen. since then, she’s basically had a mental breakdown every three months at least.
even then, she dedicated herself to her music, even though her father had long since given up on her. but johann, while diligent, proved not to have the passion required, while wolfy, who had the passion, refused to be diligent, and eventually left the family on bad terms.
lorrie also, strangely, found some confidence in drama class; it was easier to be someone she wasn’t than the person she was. after her first time onstage without bursting into tears, her friends convinced her to try out for the school talent show, knowing she was a singer-songwriter.
she managed to get through her audition, but at the actual show? she froze. she couldn’t stand to be herself in front of everyone.
slowly, she realized she could be somebody else. a few months later during a sleepless night, the kind where she’d usually cut her hair or redecorate her entire room, she went to the local walmart and bought every glittery thing she could find. she wouldn’t sing as herself, she’d sing as someone else, even write as someone else.
and when one of her classmates had a filmography project and wanted to do a music video, the fifteen year old lorrie offered her song.
that video was called starr - “royals”, and within a few days of it being uploaded, it went viral.
it wasn’t until a universal rep knocked on the gunthers’ door that lorries father even acknowledged her success. and acknowledge it, he did.
lorrie hated how affectionate her father had become all of a sudden, but someone had to accompany her to los angeles to record her ep.
she hated los angeles, not only for what it did to her father, but what it did to herself, too. starr was how she presented herself to the public, she became the crutch lorrie used to get through these schmoozing conversations. where lorrie was awkward and nervous, starr was graceful, mysterious, intriguing.
also, drugs. way too many drugs.
by the time her first album went platinum, she realized that her father was wasting her money on all kinds of things. they had a blowout fight one night and, even though she was only seventeen, she emancipated herself and locked her father out of all of the accounts. she also left la.
(this is probably around the time she started dating her melodrama ex, after she left la).
after her second album, she settled in hilton grove because it was quiet, far from california, and a place where nobody batted an eye at a famous figure, let alone a famous figure out of costume.
tl;dr heiress to a musical legacy overcomes social anxiety via faking until making, goes viral, becomes a teenage pop star, sues own father for control of her estate, leaves la and tries to remember how to be herself.
personality.
shes…. aloof. reclusive. a bit of a weirdo. she either doesn’t want to talk to you or, if you’re close to her or catch her in the right mood, she will literally talk your ear off.
doesn’t really ever access her emotions, or at least doesn’t acknowledge them.
she really is a whole mess. all of her songwriting is done during white nights of random inspiration.
she’s better when she has, like, a schedule, but she’s still kind of a mess its a thing.
loves conspiracy theories will talk about them forever. also big into astrology and divination.
aquarius sun scorpio moon pisces rising so like………… she has no chill
an excellent mimic but out of character her voice is very monotone and flat, doesn’t really smile all that much. shes probably a robot.
so sarcastic someone tell her to shut the fuck up
queer as hell
moves like an mf cat. can very easily sneak up on you. someone get her a fucking bell
she went to rehab on the deep deep dl and now really only smokes weed and drinks socially. its one of her proudest accomplishments.
definitely moving away from the starr character as she gains more confidence in herself. also finds it stunting her musical growth.
kind of terrified to love because it means being Known.
her finsta/private insta is @lorilies
also she has bleached blonde hair but i’ll be using brunette maia for like gif icons and snap icons bc there’s. not enough blonde maia pics.
you know ya girl included some tik toks for lorrie
her default when alone in her house
she cute when she’s high as a kite
her manager won’t let her have a tik tok bc she’s do shit like this
her philosophy, nay, her religion
wanted connections.
ex-lover. yknow the one she wrote melodrama about. she’s highkey clingy and bad in relationships So. open to all genders. (1/1)
best friend.  self explanatory; there through thick and thin. (1/1)
enemy. a rival artist? a neighbor with high standards? idk lets get creative lets get spicy (0/3)
confidante. tells them things she doesn’t like to admit. bonus if they will smoke weed with her (0/1)
good influence. someone help her get her life together (0/1)
bad influence. she used to be a party girl, so. its not Hard. (0/1)
flirtationship. a general will they won’t they; i need some romance y'all. (0/1?)
pls anything talk to me i’m so lonely

year in review - 2018
Tumblr media
001. What is your proudest accomplishment of this year?
Definitely everything that’s happened with Riverdale. It’s the best job I’ve ever had, and it’s the biggest one as well. And being ask to come back as a series regular was the best thing that’s happened to me professionally ever.
002. What is the biggest life lesson you learned this year?
To not run from the things, or people that scare you. It does more harm than good. It’s always worth taking the leap of faith despite the fear.
003. What is one relationship (can be friendship) that has helped you survive this year?
There’s two that have changed me as a person this year, and the two people that I wouldn’t be me without.
Skeet ( @ulrichisms ), you’ve given me the type of love and understanding that I didn’t think was possible. And even though I tried resisting it for a long time, you never truly gave up on me or us. I love you, and I’m so proud and lucky to be yours.
My Natty Ice ( @itsnataliadyr ), you’re my rock, my sounding board, and my soulmate. I don’t think I could have made it through the year without you, and it’s crazy to think that we didn’t even know each other when 2018 started. We met and you instantly became my person. I love you so much.
004. Who or what do you need to let go of in order to make next year even better than this year?
I need to let go of the fact that I have no control over what happens with Toni on the show or how much screen time she gets. I’ve really let that bother me for the first half of this season, and I’ve made some comments or liked tweets that I probably shouldn’t have.
005. What did you do this year that you’ve never done before?
Does sleeping with a woman count? Technically, I slept with two women this year but prior to 2018 I hadn’t ever gone that far before. I always knew I was bisexual since I was a teenager, but I hadn’t actually been with a woman until this summer.
006. What are three resolutions or goals you want to make happen next year?
I want to go on more auditions for projects during hiatus and continue to expand my career.
I want to get myself really settled into my life and my future, especially with my relationship. Getting over that fear and showing both myself, and Skeet, that I’m ready for everything with us and build this together. @ulrichisms
And traveling more. Whether it be for more conventions to meet fans or for vacations, I just really want to see more of the world this year.
007. Where did most of your money go this year?
Flying back and forth between LA and Vancouver, and paying for both apartments.
008. What song will always remind you of this year?
In Case You Didn’t Know - Brett Young
009. How will you be spending the last day of this year?
Hopefully in Costa Rica with my baby. @ulrichisms
010. Who is the best new person you’ve met this year?
Definitely Natalia. My life changed because of that girl, she’s the best friend anyone could ask for. @itsnataliadyr
001. What relationship (can be friendship) has been the most fun to write for your muse/s this year?
I’ll do the IC questions for each character, but I’ll answer these for all three so I’m not having to do it twice.
I’ve gushed about her relationship with Skeet and friendship with Natalia up in the IC questions, and while I would love to gush about them some more, I think I’m going to give this one to Laura’s Tom. Writing their friendship has been fun and hilarious since the beginning when they were planning on doing a partners in crime movie and it’s even funnier now with Vanessa pretending to not like him because she’s protective over Natalia. I really enjoy their friendship a lot. @hollandjpg
For Eliza, since I’m going to talk about her relationship a lot when I do the IC questions for her, I’m going to have to give this one to her friendship with Julianne. It was an unexpected friendship, and it’s easily become one of my favorites that I’ve ever had on her. They mesh so well and just bring me so much happiness. @julcshough
And the same goes for KJ, I’ll talk about his relationship in a separate post, so I’ll give this one right to his friendship with Lili. They’re basically connected at the hip half the time, and I love how much their friendship resembles mine and Becca’s a lot of the time. They’re just this pure friendship that’s really rooted in how much they love each other and want each other to be happy more than anything. And I love getting to write with Becca when it comes to them. @liliisms
002. In what ways do you connect to your muse/s?
Weirdly enough, I don’t really feel connected to Vanessa in many ways other than our love for dogs and Choni. She’s probably the muse that has the least amount of qualities I identify with that I’ve ever played. And it’s been fun, because it’s challenging and definitely out of my comfort zone.
Eliza is the muse I probably connect with the most, especially Eliza before Alycia with her fears of commitment and feelings. And her love of Food Network and being lazy, definitely from me. It’s been fun to write the change in her thanks to her relationship and really flesh her out, and watch her mature in ways that I myself can learn from.
KJ is similar to me in the way that I also have that childlike humor and spend most of the time just trying to make people laugh.
003. What’s your favorite category to write for your muse/s? (angst, fluff, smut, etc.)
Definitely fluff, it’s where I thrive but I do enjoy the angst as long as it doesn’t become excessive or unnecessary drama just to create the angst. And I’m not the biggest fan of writing smut, so I don’t do it as much as I do fluff or angst.
004. If you could give your muse/s one gift, what would you give them?
Vanessa: I’d write the scripts of Riverdale and give Toni more importance.
Eliza: Babies. All Eliza wants is babies and I’d give her all the babies.
KJ: I’d give him and Gigi more alone time together.
005. What was your favorite event/moment/memory in HollywoodlandHQ this year?
Definitely the trip to Greece and the earthquake! I think that was so much fun, and a fun, creative way to pair people up.
006. What muse/s have you enjoyed most seeing on this dash this year?
Anyone who knows me should know that I’m the number one Granielle fan in the world, so I’m constantly stalking the two of them and just pretending like Colton is there twice a week for a three way cuddle session. @theflashgrant @hyfdanielle
007. What is your favorite thing your muse/s have done this year in the group? (can be in the real world or what you made up)
Vanessa: Can I just say bringing her into the group in general? She’s such a different type of character for me to play, and I’ve loved being pushed to different levels while creating for her.
Eliza: Getting married, for sure. I’ve been playing her for years now, and to see her finally get her happy ending meant the world to me. She’s the muse I’m the most attached to so it was a very emotional event for me.
KJ: The unexpected pregnancy, without a doubt. It’s changed both him, and his relationship with Gigi, in the best of ways and it’s allowed me to mature him and have him grow in ways that most 21 year olds aren’t having to do. Sadie is the best ship partner in the world, and I’ve loved the way we’ve worked together to make their relationship together and as co-parents into something beautiful but still fun. And they’ve kept that same charm and chemistry that they’ve had together since the first day we started writing together. @gigihqs
008. What would you like to see in HollywoodlandHQ in 2019?
More events to pair people up randomly, it seems to be a popular idea and it’s one of my favorite things as an admin to do because I love seeing all the new friendships that form out of those events.
009. What is a plot you would love to do with your muse/s?
Vanessa: I would love to just explore her relationship with Skeet more, and continue to build them up and have them grow together throughout 2019. @ulrichisms
Eliza: Babies, I just want mom!Eliza more than anything, okay. And to continue to build up the relationship with Eliza/Alycia/Addy. I’m already really attached to the three of them, and they’re just getting started. So I can’t wait to keep plotting and writing for them. @avyciataylor @addvkins
KJ: Again, I just really want to keep writing with Sadie and see where else we can take Gineti this year. 2018 gave us so much as ship partners, and I can’t wait to see what we do in 2019. @gigihqs
010. Tag somebody in the RP and say something nice about them. It’s the season of giving.
This is the one OOC question that I’ll probably answer on all three just so I can talk about several different people but for this one I’m going to focus on all of the admins. Both past and present.
Sadie, Katie, Bonnie, Becca, Sam, and Alyssa: The seven of us created this place, and it couldn’t have been done without each of you. I know that some of you aren’t admins anymore for your own reasons, but I just want you to know that not a day goes by that I’m not still thankful for all of the hard work and dedication you put into creating and maintaining this group. We’re the OG’s, and I love you all immensely. @ohlizzo @diannahq @hyfdanielle @liliisms @theflashgrant @xmaikamonroe
Laura, Ina, and Nikki: You guys may not have been admins since day one, but you’ve joined the admin team since then and we wouldn’t be where we are today without the three of you. You constantly put in so much work and effort to keep building this place into what it is. And all of is noticed and appreciated. I thank all three of you for everything. @sebffs @itsgenevievegnt @hcurly
Every person listed above are the reasons this group opened and is still open and thriving to this day. Being admins of a group this large is no easy task, there’s always so much work to do especially for events and all the fun stuff we like to do. And all of you are so important to me, and to this group. So thank you all, and I love you.

Year In Review - Chris Wood
Tumblr media
@hwlandhqgossip
001. What is your proudest accomplishment of this year?
I think it definitely has to becoming a dad. Fatherhood has changed my life for the better and I’m so thankful for the chance to be a father and have a family with Mel.
002. What is the biggest life lesson you learned this year?
To never give up and to keep pushing, even when things get tough. To make sure you’re open to sharing how you feel and to not get lost in the darkness, because there’s always light out there even if you don’t see it right away.
003. What is one relationship (can be friendship) that has helped you survive this year?
Definitely Mel. She’s always there for me despite my career struggles and how that takes a toll on me emotionally and mentally. I don’t know where I’d be without her right now and she’s always supporting me and helping me with positive vibes to get me through it. @melissabenoistiisms
004. Who or what do you need to let go of in order to make next year even better than this year?
I need to let go of the idea that not finding a job means that I’ve failed, because I feel that way often when I don’t hear back from certain roles that I think I would’ve gotten.
005. What did you do this year that you’ve never done before?
Well, I became a dad for the first time so I’ve never done that before. I also directed a short film that will be out in January so that was fun.
006. What are three resolutions or goals you want to make happen next year?
1. Travel more with Mel and bring Ollie to some of those special places to experience as a family.
2. Not to give up career wise and to keep auditioning despite not having the best of luck lately.
3. Keep writing and directing and see where that gets me.
007. Where did most of your money go this year?
Yankee tickets. Kidding, probably towards Ollie. Babies are expensive but totally worth it.
008. What song will always remind you of this year?
Meant To Be - Bebe Rehxa, Florida Georgia Line
009. How will you be spending the last day of this year?
Definitely with Mel, most likely in LA. We haven’t decided yet.
010. Who is the best new person you’ve met this year?
I have to put two people here, Nat and Maika. They’ve both been great friends and I’m so glad I met them this year! @itsnataliadyr @xmaikamonroe
001. What relationship (can be friendship) has been the most fun to write for your muse/s this year?
I love writing anything Benwood because they’re precious angels. But I’ve also really enjoyed writing out Chris’ friendship with Nat and also his interactions with Dove! Two unexpected friendships that I absolutely adore now. @melissabenoistiisms @itsnataliadyr @dcvescameron
002. In what ways do you connect to your muse/s?
I connect with Chris’ soft and sensitive side. He’s sweet and does anything he can to make his loved ones happy and I’m pretty much the same way.
003. What’s your favorite category to write for your muse/s? (angst, fluff, smut, etc.)
I answered this on Grant’s and it’s pretty much the same, an angst plot can be a lot of fun but also fluff and smut is great too.
004. If you could give your muse/s one gift, what would you give them?
I would give Chris a main role on a successful TV show on a good network because he deserves that right now.
005. What was your favorite event/moment/memory in HollywoodlandHQ this year?
The Greece trip and Halloween event were a lot of fun, especially since it created more friendships with Chris.
006. What muse/s have you enjoyed most seeing on this dash this year?
It’s hard to pick just certain ones, there’s always great muses on the dash whenever I’m on!
007. What is your favorite thing your muse/s have done this year in the group? (can be in the real world or what you made up)
Chris proposing to Mel in the rp is definitely a highlight. And also them being together in real life. ;)
008. What would you like to see in HollywoodlandHQ in 2019?
More events for sure and also some more opportunities to do AU things, maybe for a longer period of time than just a few days so that it gives some time to develop stuff that you wouldn’t normally get to do.
009. What is a plot you would love to do with your muse/s?
Something angsty with Chris, probably due to the fact that he’s not doing much professionally right now and how that is affecting him.
010. Tag somebody in the RP and say something nice about them. It’s the season of giving.
To all the admins, thank you for the hard work you put into this roleplay, it definitely pays off! @hollywoodland-hqs
@melissabenoistiisms - Thank you for being a great ship partner, I adore our Benwood so much.

oh boy, did you get hugh jackman for an eight a.m.? wait no, that’s jermaine parris. i heard the forty-five year old is a professor who gives a pretty tough lecture in theatre. he tries to be compassionate and encouraging but on the stressful days, they are impersonal and superficial. when they get a chance to relax, catch them at the local bar listening to somebody by the chainsmokers. ;
Hello, it’s me again with a new muse for you all to play with! He’s a theatre prof so you know he’s going to be Extra TM & Dramatic TM. I’m super excited to get to play someone like Huge Jackedman so I hope I can do him justice, and that you all will like my manchild. Anyway, onto the deets.
A former musical star (sort of), Jermaine’s been in the teaching business for he past ten or so years. He had a sudden realization that he was missing out on his daughter growing up and decided to ditch the unstable lifestyle of always waiting around for the next audition to roll around.
His daughter (wc incoming!!) is the most important thing in his life, just ahead of theatre of course. He’d probably move to Antarctica if she asked him to.
A true Dad! Probably a bit overbearing at times, but takes his students health seriously, honestly just wants the best for all of them. And he best is obviously to become Broadway stars, the lot of them.
Also: The show must go on! Will pep talk you but really has no idea how to help otherwise.
Do you want to see baby pictures of his daughter? He keeps them in his wallet. How about the first time she blew out her own birthday candles? Or when she got braces!
So he has a daughter but he never actually got married, and he and the mother of his child sort of drifted apart over the years. They’re still friendly, they’re just not romantically involved. He blames himself. It’s justified.
He really likes to dress fancy, for the show of it, but he knows when to be practical about it. It’s kind of hard to jump around on a stage if you’re wearing your best pressed suit.
Even though he definitely cares about his students, he has a hard time investing in their personal lives. He’d be a terrible counsellor.
Takes his job seriously and truly believes that anyone can learn to act well.
Not quite as good when it comes to the whole, manuscript writing thing. Definitely has more experience on the acting side of things.
Is the type who sings to himself in the shower and hums when he’s in a good mood.
Theatre students are the best students, if you think otherwise you’re just plain wrong. All of them are flawless and have never done anything wrong in their lives.
Hmu here, on Buster’s account, or on Discord if you want to plot! A man needs connections.

It’s been flitting in and out of my head whether to do this or not, but lately, I’ve been feeling more and more like this is a necessity.
I don’t care about whether you, reader, scroll past this and completely ignore this. There’s only one person I hope will see this; one person that I’m scared will see this; one person that I’m almost absolutely sure will not see this. I’m about to bare all - no cryptic messages, no sad love quotes, just me finally saying what I should have said a long time ago, only it’s taken me a while to come to this conclusion.
I have no idea whether I was in love with you, or whether I was lonely and vulnerable. What I do know is that we instantly clicked. It felt like we were indestructible - me and you against this savage world, musing about everything and anything from complicated families, mental health, running away to live in a solitary house up in the mountains. We were a coming-of-age indie teen romance movie. Like I said, I have no idea if it was love I felt with you - I sometimes think it must have been if I was in that much pain when you left - but how can you be in love with somebody you have never met, somebody millions of miles across the ocean from you?
When you left, days turned into weeks turned into months where it constantly felt like I was drowning. Three months could pass and I wouldn’t notice. I was beginning to think whoever said “time heals” was a sadistic and compulsive liar. February up to the around August 2016 was a blur. I wish there were better words to describe how it passed by, but simply, rawly and honestly - it was just a blur. There are few things within that period I can pick out that had nothing to do with missing you, if any at all. I mean if The Walking Dead were holding auditions for members of a zombie horde in my hometown, I would be the protagonist.
In my room, between the bed and the window, is a narrow space far away from the door and easy to hide behind. I would sometimes sit there and cry in the middle of the night. It would be the place where all my emotional pain would seemingly manifest into actual, physical pain - one where I couldn’t breathe and I was falling, never landing on the ground but always fearful of the prospect, always feeling close to the inevitability of death. I would sometimes sit on the windowsill, dangle my legs down the window, and watch the stars twinkle against the sleepy backdrop of the night. I would occasionally check your feed to see if there was any semblance that you missed me just as much as I missed you; any semblance that I meant something. There was nothing. Nothing but a faint clue that you had moved on, connected with somebody else.
Things got easier in the moments leading up to August/September, as your name and the ghost of you walked less often across my mind, and by the time I started university and joined the gym, I had felt mostly free of the pain of losing you. I was starting a new chapter in my life, I had crushes on other people, I stopped checking up on you, I finally didn’t care, and I accepted that you weren’t coming back, that our paths would never cross once again.
That was until February 2017, a year later, I was rushing to the bus to my placement. Once I was on that bus I could relax. I checked my emails and tumblr had sent a notification that I had an anonymous message. Two actually, both from you, saying pretty much the same thing. That you were sorry. I don’t know how I felt. Confused? Angry? Happy? It felt bittersweet, really. If you had sent that message a couple of months prior then I would have been jumping for joy; ‘He really does care!’ But all I could think was just ‘why now?’
I kept myself reserved at first, knowing that I was starting to get my shit together and didn’t want to unravel that progress. As we talked more and caught up, I started to ease up. I realised this is the final thing I needed: closure. I began to accept all the reasons why we never worked in the first place, I began to value you as a friend, not a lover. We lost touch after a while, and I don’t quite remember why, but it didn’t hurt when we did - but that isn’t a testament to say that I don’t care about you, because I do. I love you, not like I used to, but I do. You changed me, you shaped me at a time where I was easily mouldable. The pain you exposed to me is a factor in the making of the person I am today. And do you want to know something? I couldn’t think of a better, more honourable person to have come into my life like a tornado and destroy me.
Why? Because when I’ve gotten hurt by the men after you, I can deal with it a little better. It still feels like I take too long to move on from people, but each time the ‘broken-hearted period’ gets a little shorter and hey, I’ll take that as progress. When I’ve gotten hurt by the men after you, I think about how they have not held even a candle to our admittedly brief but intense and fast knowing of each other. I’m glad you were my first love, because your first love is special, and you are special to me. I almost despise telling other people about it when they ask me about past loves. One asked me, and I very briefly flitted over our experience together and detailed in grandeur others after you, not because you meant little, but because you meant the most. I wanted to protect that. I didn’t want other people’s leer and criticism and judgement. I just simply did not want them to know, because I felt they had no right, because telling them about you meant that I would be baring the very inner workings of my soul, the very person that I have lead to become. And I’ll never let another get that close to me.
I don’t want you to read this and think that I hate you or am in love with you - I am sure at some point in the past I felt both towards you, but I want you to know that I value you as a monumental contributor to my life. Sure, I will always love you (I’ve also learned they weren’t kidding when they said you’ll never forget your first love), but I know how to live without you, although I am disappointed we don’t speak as friends anymore. Like I said, just like you told me my name flitted in and out of your head at various times after you left, yours flits inside mine now and again, wondering how you are, hoping you are happy and have found peace and love and whatever it is you need to live a full and meaningful life.
And although I am scared to death, I sincerely hope this finds its way to you somehow.
Love you always.

Book Review - Metro Diaries by Namrata
This book is an assortment of short stories and there are numerous short and flawless sonnets in the middle. I delighted in perusing the greater part of them, yet a couple were exhausting. I will share a couple of things that I cherished in some chose stories. After you complete the book, you may experience the ill effects of an overdose of adoration.
Story#1: Once in a lifetime
This is the narrative of a lady who is frightened to fail to remember her past and proceed onward. She discovers her perfect partner, however apprehensive that things occurred in her past will rehash. It's about the contention in her heart and finally choosing tolerating her perfect partner.
This story is loaded up with a ton of clashing musings and a fast past. I could concur with the hero on the fact that it is so hard to pick a correct way while experiencing injured past. This appeared to be more similar to a verse than a story for me, which I didn't appreciate a lot.
Story#2: Then, presently and until the end of time
A story on how Ron reunites with his adoration forever Anna subsequent to finding a loved ownership of his grandmother.
Adored these lines from the story -
Love is consistently wonderful at that point, presently and until the end of time. It is individuals who make it revolting. Among this grotesqueness, there might be one heart that will have the option to sing back the tune your heart needs to hear, and the day you find that heart, never let it go at any expense...
Story #3: The pause
Cherished these lines in the story
To state she was dressed to murder would not be right, for my heart was all the while pulsating, yet it was clearly missing its thumps sometimes.
Many can identify with this story. Until we miss somebody we don't understand the amount we need them in our life. A decent story with a hint of humor toward the end.
Story #4: A mystery uncovered
Ok.. my #1 story in the book. Quite a superb story loaded with feelings.
Story #5: Will you?
It is anything but a story, yet a stunning proposition.
To every one of those adolescent young men who are yet to propose, this makes an excellent love letter.
Aren't these lines beautiful?
Come, hold my hand and remove me with you. Make everything I could ever hope for come true.Let's cause an alternate universe of ours,Let's to become "WE" from me and you!
Story #6: The sole Soulmate
This is the tale of Sahil who discovers genuine romance in his long time companion Nishani.
How are these lines from the story?
We as a whole love in four different ways; one from our heart, where we like somebody's inclination or activities; one from the psyche, where we like somebody's musings; one from the body, where we are actually pulled in to somebody, and in conclusion from the spirit, one that is our perfect partner. At times all the four loves are found in one individual, which is uncommon and some of the time we discover four individuals for every one of these loves.
Story #7: A message of affection
An account of a couple fixing up after a separation. She gets this message of adoration from him.
I guarantee to embrace you so close that the entirety of our crushed pieces will stick spirit together; for I myself am broken without you!
She promptly tapped on answer and started composing:
Will you hold together the entirety of my wrecked pieces together, seal them with your adoration and make me complete once.
That says it all!
My Rating: 3/5
It's hard to audit an assortment of short stories as a couple of will be acceptable, a couple of will be fantastic and a couple probably won't be extraordinary. Be that as it may, I have evaluated it according to my general fulfillment remainder subsequent to completing the book.
I would prescribe this to each and every individual who are infatuated, be it, hitched or single and furthermore to the individuals who love verse.

Don't Make Me Over 35
*Just realizing that I hadn’t put up the last couple of chapters in this space, but since I’m trying to finish up my fics, gonna go ahead and add these on my tumblr. Thanks.*
Sam was strumming his guitar and singing, or humming, or lipping words. He had a few days off of work. He spent them trying to find something to do around the house. He found out that Jonesy's people did all of the stuff around the house… and that they hung all around the house… all the time. Did Unique take on their home as a studio to work from until getting a new one? He wondered as he looked at her, lying on her belly on the loveseat while Jonesy was on her back on the couch. They were discussing their contracts, filming schedules, travel arrangements, maternity leave… "And we have candidates in place for nanny services when you return. You just need to make a decision."
"Oh!" Sam finally interrupted, "Nanny services?" He repeated, eyes on Jonesy instead of Unique.
Unique answered, "Now, before you try to go off on some tangent about nannies not being a good resource or children need their mothers or wherever you're intending to go with that look of disdain, let me tell you – women who can't afford nannies oftentimes spend less time with their children than the women who can… and those women often get less done around the house. Mothers have a full time job with a nearly impossible workload. A nanny is simply an additional pair of hands so that a mother does not have to compromise her career or other responsibilities while she raises her children."
"Mrs. Baylock said she was an extra pair of hands," Sam said.
Jonesy furrowed her eyebrows and shook her head, "That's only frightening if your baby is the Antichrist." She noted Unique's confused face, "Omen reference."
"I don't want to know your obscure movie references," she told her.
"Obscure? Movie is a classic!" Sam muttered, plucking his guitar strings a little harder than before.
"You do love the classics, don't you?" Unique asked with a smile. Sam threw her a look and she shrugged. "It's not the old days anymore, Sam. Jonesy can actually have a highly functioning career AND be a great mother. Have you ever seen Beyonce? Of course you have. That child looks loved as hell. You don't understand what a nanny is and what she does is the problem."
"Unique is providing the nanny as a perk of my job, Sam. So, it won't cost us anything extra and like she said, I will be around the baby more than anybody else in the world," Jonesy told him, rubbing his hair, as she did. He leaned into her petting, though his face still wore a sour pout, so she continued to coax him. "Think of her time with the nanny like time with a babysitter or time with a family friend or even time in a classroom. Some people send their kids to daycare so they can work. Mine will be relatively close, sometimes even on site and her caregiver won't even have to tend to any other children."
"I don't really like the thought of daycare, either. I mean, at least until its time for her to go to school, she should be at home with her mother."
"Her mother won't be at home, but if you feel that strongly about it, there is a such thing as a stay home dad," Unique reminded him. Sam furrowed his eyebrows even more. "Oh, so you want somebody to stay with the baby – just not you. Alright. Anyway…" Unique rolled her eyes and sat up, to scoot closer to Jonesy with the information. "If Jonesy tells me that she doesn't want a nanny and she wants to be at home and simply on call for times that I need her, that is fine. But Jonesy told me and we have been arranging that she wants to work, full time. She wants to travel with me for the long haul. I don't want to do it without her, but I will if I have to."
Jonesy waved a hand, "No, you don't have to. Why would you have to? I have a free nanny." To Sam she said, "We discussed this. I mean, we discussed that I wasn't going to quit my job. Remember? We couldn't afford it and I didn't want to."
"But, we didn't discuss a nanny, though," Sam said. "With all of the things that have happened, I just… honestly don't trust anybody." He shook his head and shrugged. "I mean, I can work out things so that my schedule lines up with when you won't be around so that I can watch her."
"Then, we wouldn't see each other and she wouldn't see the both of us, at the same time. Sam…" She looked at Unique, "Can we talk tomorrow?"
"Of course, Hunny. I'll be here, as always." She collected her things and rushed out.
"It feels like you're planning out the baby's life without me, again." Sam set the guitar aside and got up to sit on the couch, by her. She sat up, too. "It's not about the time or the plan or the person… well – it kinda is that too, but… this is OUR baby. We've discussed this."
"That's not what this is, Sam. This is my career. I was working on the plan and trying to get everything figured out before coming to you, Chief. I wanted it to sound as appealing as humanly possible before bringing it up, because I knew that you wouldn't like it, but I also know that its going to be excellent for me and it will not disadvantage her, at all. Not in the least bit. I'm not hiring a nanny so that I can spend summers in Tahiti or something. I'm hiring a nanny so that I can run errands, cook, clean up, and do makeup without carting Babycakes in a pouch on my chest." She held her hands out, "I've been collecting instances of children raised with nannies who have better relationships with their mothers than children raised by their mothers without nannies. I mean, both of these things can work, I'm not saying that kids with nannies are better off, at all. But not getting one isn't really going to work for me."
He looked at her sad eyes and nodded his head. "You're right. And I believe you. I don't think you were trying to plan things without me. But, now that its on the table… I… What can you tell me that might help me feel more comfortable about Cakes being with some stranger?"
"Only that everyone is when they're little. Do you know how many people I trusted in my youth that didn't mean me any good? But, my mom and dad couldn't protect me from everything, all of the time. It's reality, as hard as it is. But, she will not be on a battlefield. She'll be nearby. I will see her. We will be in each other's company, but if Cakes cries while we're recording, I have someone who can step outside with her. If… I break out in a rash, I have somebody to make sure she's not exposed to it. My intention is that the nanny can literally have whatever life she wants, outside of my schedule for her. Within that scheduled time, if I finish Unique's makeup and want to take my daughter out for a sundae, I can. But if Unique has a bruised nose from falling over and I have to spend hours making her look like she'd never seen a bruise a day in her life, I have that opportunity, as well."
"The nanny sounds like she'd be doing my job, while I'm at work…" Sam said.
"But, she won't be. She'll be doing the jobs that we don't have enough bodies to do while we do what we can and have to with the bodies that we have. We're getting her now, so that she can meet the baby on site. So that she can become familiar with the woman who will be telling her how to help out with her child and so that you can size her up, yourself."
"Wait… there's gonna be a nanny before the baby even gets here?" He said, shaking his head.
"Yep. This will be like her pre-field training. Knowing the parents and what they like and need is an important part of being able to know what the child will want and need, while she's in her care. I wish that there was some kind of movie about a good mother who had a nanny. They totally exist and I'm totally going to be one."
"Well, maybe one day, they'll make a movie about you," Sam commented.
"There's not enough film in the world to cover my story… wait… does that mean that you're on board? Even without the presentation of my evidence?" She asked, with a wide grin.
"I trust you, Jones." He gave her a kiss on the lips. "I think you won me over with the I can size her up, myself." He nodded and Jonesy covered her face.
"This poor woman is not going to have a chance…" She mused.
"This is the kind of thing you need to have a damn competition and show for," he muttered, which made her giggle for a moment. Then, she stopped and thought for a moment, then pulled herself up and rushed off, with her cell phone. "Um… Jonesy?"
His arms were folded when Mercedes opened the door for the young lady. "Hi, Mercedes! It's so good to see you again! And this handsome man must be Sam," she said and held a hand out to shake his hand. He accepted it and she introduced herself. "My name is Bree. Thank you for your consideration in this competition." Two more women joined them, within a few moments and the cameraman from Unique's show came in to set up some cameras while they held a group interview.
Jonesy treated it very similar to how they had treated the auditions for the show, welcoming the women, "In this age of reality television, and in my quest to find the best nanny for me, we had this fun idea to make a little web show of the process. As you have all agreed on the application, we now have the cameras rolling. For the moment, our bedroom is off limits, but all of the other rooms have cameras and we'll be reviewing them, as well as watching you ladies during this time. It's only three weeks. I am due in one week, if things go as planned. Two of the weeks will have Babycakes on board, or should. I hope you all make the most of it."
Sam didn't have much to say. He was in complete support of the cameras and the scrutiny, for the purpose of finding someone trustworthy enough to look after their baby in a matter of weeks. Being engaged to an online sensation meant that sometimes, life was looked at very closely, anyway, but looking at other people closely for this was something he could agree to.
Ryvie Jones and Mary Evans were around. Any day now, Jonesy would go into labor. Renee Stobb took charge of things, as best as she could, mostly by going through all of Jonesy's already best laid plans and making her own schedule to reflect that. "Jonesy is ridiculously organized and everything has already been thought out. I feel that I need to be ready to place my life on hold and sync my world with hers if I really want this thing."
She shook her head and laughed, annoyed, "Bree spent the entire afternoon playing games with her little sister."
Bree and Ra were sitting on the floor and Bree told her, "Awww, yours looks better than mine! What's all of that? Right there?" She pointed to the finger painting.
"That's ice cream!" Ra cheered.
"Ice cream? I LOVE ICE CREAM!" Bree cheered. "Hey… I wonder if your mom and sister will let us get some. What do you think?" Ra smiled, excitedly and Bree took her hand. "Come on. This is how you ask, nicely, okay?" She asked Ryvie, "Mrs. Jones, if Maserati and I clean up our mess really good, will it be okay for me to buy us some ice cream?"
Ryvie stared at the girl for a bit, then nodded, "If you two clean up all of your mess, Miss Bree can go get you some ice cream and bring it back here. But, you have to help her out, like a big girl, okay?" Ryvie told her toddler, who rushed to follow the instructions while Bree wondered, "So, what kinda ice cream you want me to bring you?"
Bree smiled and told the camera, "I want to be the nanny. I love the ladies. I love their web shows. I loved the Diva Experience. Jonesy's makeup art. Unique's drag. I love all of this stuff. But, I also love hanging out with kids. This job, if I can get it will be someone that I admire in an industry that I adore paying me to do a thing that I love." She traced a circle with her finger, "Full circle win, if I can somehow get this."
The other woman, Mack, was Unique's former personal assistant. She said, "My job became less necessary after Miss Jones came into Unique's life. I still ran some errands and kept up with the studio maintenance - being sure that things were organized and clean and accepting deliveries and keeping up with inventory. But, I lost my job when we lost the studio, so this is going to be very helpful to me. I already have an established ongoing rapport with Miss Jones and I have experience being that extra pair of hands that they speak of…" She frowned, "I don't have much luck with babies, but that's what this training is for, right?"
Sam said, "It's… not training. This is your interview."
"Well, I mean, I can DO babies. I just haven't assisted in the helping with babies department yet. I'm a renaissance woman. I can multitask and I'm a quick learner…" She bit her lip. Sam already looked unimpressed.
He frowned at the camera while Mercedes simply laughed, "She is getting a kick out of this. Not one of these women are right for the job."
"They ALL have their skills," she said. "He's being unfair."
"Babycakes, when you watch this, know that it was your mama's doin,' that you ended up with whatever nanny you'll get stuck with." She laughed even harder, now.
Renee was reading up on doula training made easy while Mack was memorizing the game plan for when Jonesy went into labor. Sam looked at Bree, on her phone and asked, "What are you working on?"
She furrowed her eyebrows and answered, "I'm not working on anything. I'm playing Candy Crush."
"You're... Do you realize that you're in a process to try to get a job?" He asked.
"Of course," she said, stopping her game, "What would you like me to work on Mr. Evans?" She smiled brightly, awaiting instructions.
"I didn't have like anything in mind, particularly. But, the other two ladies are doing their thing," he informed her.
She glanced at them and nodded as she whispered, "They're a little behind. Unique announced that Jonesy would be looking for a nanny months ago! Renee was not familiar with Jonesy, at the time and Mack was familiar, but did not qualify for the job, therefore didn't make any attempts to learn any information. You know why I'm here, Mr. Evans? I am here, because the moment that announcement was made, I contacted the studio with my credentials as a long term neighborhood babysitter, my qualifications as a doula, my work experience in three births, to date and a few years of daycare services, from my own home... complete with references. Neither of these ladies want this job more than me and neither of them are more qualified. I will do whatever you ask me to, but in the meantime, if you've got nothing, I'm really obsessed with Candy Crush."
He folded his arms, "All of that was in your file?"
"I haven't seen my file, but I sure hope so," she said with a smile.
"You're like... 18..."
"You are so sweet and cute, Mr. Evans!" She said and wrinkled her nose, returning to her game.
He shuffled his way over to Jonesy and she was looking miserable and rubbing her belly. "You okay?"
"I'm crazy. This was a terrible idea. Why did I decide to do this?" She asked.
"You're impulsive," he answered honestly.
"I am so damn mad about that fact. I don't want these people in our house and I'm tired of looking at their faces." She grumbled. "But, I can't pull the plug. That'll make me look bad."
"Look bad? How? You have literally, in the past year been violently assaulted (more than once), going through a pregnancy, started a new job, completed a major project, had your workplace burn down, and had a seizure. That has all literally happened to you within a year's time. How are you going to look bad for finally getting tired?" He asked. She shrugged. People would say things. She already knew they would. "I'll shut it down, if I have to. I will go in there right now and say 'Bree won, everybody go home,' if I gotta." She raised an eyebrow.
"Bree? Hmph." She rolled her eyes.
"She's the most qualified, isn't she? Doula and daycare and all that stuff? I don't know, unless she lied, because I didn't see any of that in her file. I combed through those files."
"Nothing to do with her being young and supple and pretty," she commented.
"And nothing to do with a what? She's alright, I guess. I wasn't paying attention. I had my Daddy Glasses on, trying to find my daughter's nanny. But lemme see," he turned and looked at Bree, sized her up and jokingly blew out a whistle. "You're right, Jones. She's got the goods, huh?" The face that she gave him was enough to slay him, but for some reason was met only with his chuckling. "Oh, so you wanted to try to prod me, but you didn't want to hear that. What did you want to hear, Babe? She's invisible outside of the paperwork that claims that she can do the job. I had my money on Stobb, but she doesn't have credentials."
"She's got credentials," Jonesy said. "They all have credentials."
"I mean to take care of a baby and slash or child. Keep up, Jones. This is serious business we are dealing with, here." He threw an arm around her and told her, "I think if you're stressed, we need to pull the plug on this. Its only an online thing and nobody is paying you to do it. You have real shows to consider, coming up sooner than necessary." He gave her a kiss on the side of the head.
"It's only a couple more weeks. Baby will be here in days and I won't even care about the cameras," she said.
"Mmhmm." He intertwined their fingers and kissed the back of her hand.
"But you like Bree, huh?" She repeated.
"I didn't say that. But, I think your mom likes her and your sister likes her. She's good with kids and people. I mean... she plays Candy Crush instead of studies, even though she knows she's being recorded. That's either sheer idiocy or she's confident in the skills."
"And she's pretty," Jonesy said. "I'm not gonna get mad if you admit that the woman is damn pretty, Sam."
"That has nothing to do with the job, though. I thought you would like her for it," he said.
"I do. I'm glad that you chose somebody. That's gonna make all this much easier," she admitted.
"But, it would have been easy if you gave me three resumes with the stuff on them and no photos!" He fussed.
"But, then you would have insisted that you had to see them in action… You're a stubborn man, Sam Evans. You don't make things easy for me."
"I try!" He snuggled against her. "I want to make things better for both of you."
"You'll be perfect. I already know it… I want a foot rub," she said and poked her bottom lip out.
"Stubborn Sam is on it!"

I, Kang Sunyoung, have read and understand the terms and conditions as my position of lead dancer and agree to honor the standards that are to be expected of me as an employee of BKB Entertainment.
OOC INFORMATION
Preferred name: Erika
Pronouns: She/Her
Timezone: GMT+1
Other muses: None
Password (for reservations only): RhythmTA
Skype (this is optional, but if you would like to join the RHYTHMSgc please leave your skype username here): onyx.loveless (…i was 13 when I made it)
IC INFORMATION
Faceclaim: Jung Jessica
Name: Kang Sunyoung
Stage name (if applicable):Sunyoung
Idol concept: Her facial structure is unique, her expression is stoic and her gaze as cold as ice. From the beginning, Sunyoung had problems adjusting to the cute concept that silverBEAT had been given, and her visuals just did not click with it. Thus, she had been given a new one – she was to be the ‘chic’ member, the femme fatale that would rather attract female fans with her seemingly strong persona. She’s the member that can flirt with the camera, whose jokes create anything but laughter, who is more ‘cool and fashionable’ rather than a ‘girl-next-door’.
Frankly, Sunyoung had never been too fond of her concept. After all, her stone-cold expression would stick out as a sour thumb among girls who were smiling as widely as they could. To her relief and delight, as the years passed, she had been allowed to slowly ease her own personality into her ‘concept’ and become more of herself. Nowadays she is showing exactly who she is – a girl who does certainly lack an innate sense of humour, yet who does enjoy to laugh, show her emotions and express herself; somebody who is just a ‘dork’. One aspect hasn’t changed though, namely the fact that Sunyoung had always been the fashionable one.
Birth date and age: April 24th, 1993 (age 24)
Company name: BKB
Group Name (if applicable): silverBEAT
Group Position (if applicable): Lead Dancer
Strengths:
DANCE – although the position of a lead dancer in a group as large as silverBEAT might not sound as prestigious as that of a main dancer, sunyoung’s spot in the ‘dance line’ has rarely been discussed and never doubted, although she barely has any native talent in the area. she is rather an adept of the idea that certain skills can be learnt and perfected – thus, the years of training have rendered her able of quickly learning new choreographies and adapting herself to new styles.
RAP – a hidden talent of sunyoung’s; hip-hop is not a style that she has grown up with nor something that she has found immense interest in, yet something that she had just discovered she was, well, good at. a talent she had decided to develop in her spare time considering the fact that she had barely had a chance to showcase this skill in the songs of her group.
Weaknesses:
VARIETY & CHARISMA – not exactly a “people’s person” as some might describe her, it probably wouldn’t come as a surprise that sunyoung is not exactly the variety type; her delayed reactions and jokes drier than the sand in the sahara desert just does not make for good entertainment, not to mention the bluntness in her words would land her a ticket directly in hot water and certainly not in the hearts of netizens.
VOCAL RANGE – being known for having the huskiest of voices among her group can certainly have its ups and downs and while sunyoung is able to carry a song, there are certain limitations. it seems that training hasn’t done much for the range of her voice, as there is little room for the notes that she can hit, particularly struggling with those high ones, being instead much more fit for those with a ‘jazzy’ feel to them.
Positive traits:loyal, responsible, reliable
Negative traits: stubborn, possessive, uncompromising
PERSONAL HISTORY
RICHES – It would be a lie to say that Sunyoung had not been born with a silver spoon in her mouth. Coming from an affluent family, a third generation of Korean immigrants with their roots deeply settled into the Australian soil of Melbourne, it seemed only natural to her parents that she would be especially educated in the field of the fine arts and languages, that her general knowledge be cultivated from a young age, finding herself stuck on that uncomfortable chair in front of the piano that seemed to be overlooking the entirety of that spacious living room, four days a week since the age of five.
TOYS & NANNIES – And it seemed even more natural to them, two busy people, that Sunyoung would have somebody looking over her during those many hours they simply couldn’t. As a child, she certainly did not lack anything, she owned every toy imaginable and could receive anything that she wanted, yet in the same time, those years had also been filled with many, too many nannies running back and forth after her down those large hallways.
BLOOM – And she had slowly bloomed from a child, to a young maiden. And truth be told, she had come to be all too tired of the rather mundane life that she had come to have – constantly going back and forth, following the same routine, it was something that Sunyoung did not like, not even one bit. Her life had simply become a cliché from the day she had entered school, the typical story of a girl who had become popular among her peers simply for the fact that her father just so happened to be rich. She despised it, she would say, yet having been raised as a status-seeker, she couldn’t deny it to herself that the small fame she had gained was actually something that she enjoyed.
SOUL TO SEOUL – But she still wanted more than just that, she wanted more than the future that had practically been set from the moment of her birth, she wanted more than to just inherit her father’s company. It wasn’t exactly that she did not want to be leading it, no, to be the alpha of a group, it was actually something that she absolutely enjoyed, but there was just something about the type of company that her father led that did not appeal to her, finding much more interest and satisfaction in the world of music and entertainment. Having learnt about the country of her roots from the stories of her family, she could say that she had fallen in love with the world that South Korea seemed to be.
ONLY ONCE – One of the many monotonous days spent in the Australian sun, just another day that would be spent sitting at the piano that waited for her because, well, she certainly wasn’t too ecstatic of the hours to come of her fingers sliding almost mechanically over the white and black keys. Somewhat ironic – a young girl that adored music, yet loathed the massive instrument that was throning in the living room. The day when she was approached by a “tall, dark stranger” that had offered her the chance of a lifetime, as he himself had put it. Promising the sun and the moon along with all of the stars, Sunyoung was left with what seemed at that time to be a simple piece of cardboard cutout, printed with a dial number among some other information. A rather strange encounter she had classified it, but with what was written on the card she had in her hand, it seemed to be something that could happen only once.
NO ROOTS – The chance of a lifetime was to be given the possibility to bring her name out into the world, to become famous; simple information that was obtained once the odd occurrence had been explained to her parents and a call had been made to the phone number that was on the visit card Sunyoung had received. One could probably not stress enough the resentment that the two adults had towards the idea and just how strongly they opposed their daughter leaving for a country that they themselves knew only from stories told by their ancestors. Sunyoung had no roots though, and she had managed to leave the parental nest at just fourteen years of age.
NEW WORLD – She left for a country she did not even know the language of, a culture that was all too new for her. Seeing herself within the borders of the country she had landed in, it had become more than just plain obvious to her that it was an environment she had not been prepared for – mannerisms that she did not know, habits that she could not understand, Sunyoung was all too sure she was never going to adapt, to that point she was hoping that she would not pass the audition she had signed herself – with her parents’ signature at the footnote, mind you – for. Yet she did.
SILVERBEAT – Three years. It had taken her three years to adapt, reaching something that she never thought she could once she was reflecting to a time when she had only been criticised for her behaviour, for her lack of respect in her speech, for how her bow seemed to never be low enough. She was a determined one though, always pushing for her limits, always setting the bar higher – for Sunyoung the competition did not matter all too much; she was her own, worst adversary. Pressuring herself had paid off the moment she sat in front of the camera for the very first time to be taking the pictures that would mark her debut in a girl group. It was a feeling of euphoria that she just could not describe, a feeling that had shaken off only once she had first stepped foot on a stage, shocked to hear the voices singing along and chanting her name.

Pandemic Hampers Reopening of Joint Replacement Gold Mine
Dr. Ira Weintraub, a recently retired orthopedic surgeon who now works at a medical billing consultancy, saw a hip replacement bill for over $400,000 earlier this year.
“The patient stayed in the hospital 17 days, which is only 17 times normal. The bill got paid,” mused Weintraub, chief medical officer of Portland, Oregon-based WellRithms, which helps self-funded employers and workers’ compensation insurers make sense of large, complex medical bills and ensure they pay the fair amount.
Charges like that go a long way toward explaining why hospitals are eager to restore joint replacements to pre-COVID levels as quickly as possible — an eagerness tempered only by safety concerns amid a resurgence of the coronavirus in some regions of the country. Revenue losses at hospitals and outpatient surgery centers may have exceeded $5 billion from canceled knee and hip replacements alone during a roughly two-month hiatus on elective procedures earlier this year.
The cost of joint replacement surgery varies widely — though, on average, it is in the tens, not hundreds, of thousands of dollars. Still, given the high and rapidly growing volume, it’s easy to see why joint replacement operations have become a vital chunk of revenue at most U.S. hospitals.
The rate of knee and hip replacements more than doubled from 2000 to 2015, according to inpatient discharge data from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. And that growth is likely to continue: Knee replacements are expected to triple between now and 2040, with hip replacements not far behind, according to projections published last year in the Journal of Rheumatology.
Joint procedures are usually not emergencies, and they were among the first to be scrubbed or delayed when hospitals froze elective surgeries in March — and again in July in some areas plagued by renewed COVID outbreaks. Loss of the revenue has hit hospitals hard, and regaining it will be crucial to their financial convalescence.
“Without orthopedic volumes returning to something near their pre-pandemic levels, it will make it difficult for health systems to get back to anywhere near break-even from a bottom-line perspective,” said Stephen Thome, a principal in health care consulting at Grant Thornton, an advisory, audit and tax firm.
It’s impossible to know exactly how much knee and hip replacements are worth to hospitals, because no definitive data on total volume or price exists.
But using published estimates of volume, extrapolating average commercial payments from published Medicare rates based on a study, and making an educated guess of patient coinsurance, Thome helped KHN arrive at an annual market value for American hospitals and surgery centers of between $15.5 billion and $21.5 billion for knee replacements alone.
That suggests a revenue loss of $1.3 billion to $1.8 billion per month for the period the surgeries were shut down. These figures include ambulatory surgery centers not owned by hospitals, which also suspended most operations in late March, all of April and into May.
If you add hip replacements, which account for about half the volume of knees and are paid at similar rates, the total annual value rises to a range of $23 billion to $32 billion, with monthly revenue losses from $1.9 billion to $2.7 billion.
The American Hospital Association projects total revenue lost at U.S. hospitals will reach $323 billion by year’s end, not counting additional losses from surgeries canceled during the current coronavirus spike. That amount is partially offset by $69 billion in federal relief dollars hospitals have received so far, according to the association. The California Hospital Association puts the net revenue loss for hospitals in that state at about $10.5 billion, said spokesperson Jan Emerson-Shea.
Hospitals resumed joint replacement surgeries in early to mid-May, with the timing and ramp-up speed varying by region and hospital. Some hospitals restored volume quickly; others took a more cautious route and continue to lose revenue. Still others have had to shut down again.
At the NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital in New York City, “people are starting to come in and you see the operating rooms full again,” said Dr. Claudette Lajam, chief orthopedic safety officer.
At St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, California, where the coronavirus is raging, inpatient joint replacements resumed in the second or third week of May — cautiously at first, but volume is “very close to pre-pandemic levels at this point,” said Dr. Kevin Khajavi, chairman of the hospital’s orthopedic surgery department. However, “we are constantly monitoring the situation to determine if we have to scale back once again,” he said.
In large swaths of Texas, elective surgeries were once again suspended in July because of the COVID-19 resurgence. The same is true at many hospitals in Florida, Alabama, South Carolina and Nevada.
The Mayo Clinic in Phoenix suspended nonemergency joint replacement surgeries in early July. It resumed outpatient replacement procedures the week of July 27, but still has not resumed nonemergency inpatient procedures, said Dr. Mark Spangehl, an orthopedic surgeon there. In terms of medical urgency, joint replacements are “at the bottom of the totem pole,” Spangehl said.
In terms of cash flow, however, joint replacements are decidedly not at the bottom of the totem pole. They have become a cash cow as the number of patients undergoing them has skyrocketed in recent decades.
The volume is being driven by an aging population, an epidemic of obesity and a significant rise in the number of younger people replacing joints worn out by years of sports and exercise.
It’s also being driven by the cash. Once only done in hospitals, the operations are now increasingly performed at ambulatory surgery centers — especially on younger, healthier patients who don’t require hospitalization.
The surgery centers are often physician-owned, but private equity groups such as Bain Capital and KKR & Co. have taken an interest in them, drawn by their high growth potential, robust financial returns and ability to offer competitive prices.
“[G]enerally the savings should be very good — but I do see a lot of outlier surgery centers where they are charging exorbitant amounts of money — $100,000 wouldn’t be too much,” said WellRithm’s Weintraub, who co-owned such a surgery center in Portland.
After canceling his hip replacement surgery in March because of COVID-19, Matthew Davis overcame his concerns and rescheduled in June because the procedure was performed at an outpatient surgery center, which meant no overnight hospital stay. (Matthew Davis)
Fear of catching the coronavirus in a hospital is reinforcing the outpatient trend. Matthew Davis, a 58-year-old resident of Washington, D.C., was scheduled for a hip replacement on March 30 but got cold feet because of COVID-19, and canceled just before all elective surgeries were halted. When it came time to reschedule in June, he overcame his reservations in large part because the surgeon planned to perform the procedure at a free-standing surgery center.
“That was key to me — avoiding an overnight hospital stay to minimize my exposure,” Davis said. “These joint replacements are almost industrial-scale. They are cranking out joint replacements 9 to 5. I went in at 6:30 a.m. and I was walking out the door at 11:30.”
Acutely aware of the financial benefits, hospitals and surgery clinics have been marketing joint replacements for years, competing for coveted rankings and running ads that show healthy aging people, all smiles, engaged in vigorous activity.
However, a 2014 study concluded that one-third of knee replacements were not warranted, mainly because the symptoms of the patients were not severe enough to justify the procedures.
“The whole marketing of health care is so manipulative to the consuming public,” said Lisa McGiffert, a longtime consumer advocate and co-founder of the Patient Safety Action Network. “People might be encouraged to get a knee replacement, when in reality something less invasive could have improved their condition.”
McGiffert recounted a conversation with an orthopedic surgeon in Washington state who told her about a patient who requested a knee replacement, even though he had not tried any lower-impact treatments to fix the problem. “I asked the surgeon, ‘You didn’t do it, did you?’ And he said, ‘Of course I did. He would just have gone to somebody else.’”
