*throws hands into air* Textures! And! Colors!
The process of the photos:
I dislike the white concrete, it's too white. I need something a little more yellow- oh my god I forgot bone blocks exist
Just bone doesn't work. Hm. Bone, sandstone, stripped birch?
Still a hurtful transition, but I don't want to bring the 'white' up further. Yellow concrete powder is terrible, but orange...? Yes.
Though now I want to replace the out layer of acacia with something else, bring down the orange... But also Minecraft let me place the weird corner stairs wherever I want because they're so useful for making more 'weathered' looks or odd shapes. Also give me more types of stairs, I'm waiting on glazed terracotta stairs :3c

[Damian in the Minecraft server excitedly showing Jon his extensive (and ethical) farms that he made while Jon was banned from Minecraft to focus on studying for tests at school]
Jon: ... yeah, you're so shit at Minecraft. Looks nice though!
Damian: ?! what do you mean? I worked hard on these????
Jon: *sigh* I'll show you what a real Minecraft farm looks like!
[Jon brings him to his "farm" and proudly shows off the fact you cannot tell the pixels apart as there are so many animals in one spot]
Damian: I....... have no words for this. Our friendship is about to end over this. Think of their feelings.
Jon: but this is how you play Minecraft 😭😭 next you're going to tell me you don't even eat the animals at your farm and they're just decorative 😭
Damian: I'M A VEGETARIAN. 😡😡😡😡 I MAKE BREAD. 😡😡😡😡😡😡 LOG BACK OUT. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

in the face of animal crossing pocket camp closing, can i just say. i don’t understand why new horizons was like that. after acpc the next animal crossing game should have been amazing and yet,
acnh feels very stale very quickly imo. it has the bones of an animal crossing game (unlocking shops, filling the museum, etc) but the villagers are sooo samey, and it feels like there’s fewer interactions and games between them than there was in acnl. (and i know this isn't a new criticism but it feels unfinished. harv's island co-op in the final update feels like a weak alternative to letting lief, kicks, katrina, etc. have physical stores on your island.) but i do love having the ability to build and customize your own furniture, to an extent. the new furniture designs are great and i especially love that villagers have more versatile clothes options. sheep can wear shirts!! everyone can wear hats!!
but also, acpc has WAY more furniture and clothing options than acnh. and i love the way the villagers work there: they have a set personality and a set style. and you can help them give gifts to other villagers or give them fashion tips, and your relationship improves more (im pretty sure ?) if you pick the option that’s The Right Style. it makes it feel like you're actually getting to know them, and it gives a little bit more variation because a cranky jock FEELS markedly different than a cranky cool guy

if anyone was wondering why it took us (me and my brother, absolute worst builders of minecraft ever) so long to make a house. this is why
these are the only pics i have but WE DID THIS HOUSE ALL ON SURVIVAL MODE and we were so lucky to have most of the resources near our village because. holy fuck (apart for the dark oag which we had to go on a whole ass adventure to get)
also here's a random ass picture of our wonderland village

You give the vibes of a guy who makes excel sheets in preparation for their farm on stardew valley. and I respect that.
I gotta be honest I’ve never played that game in my entire life, but I was literally taking photos of this one guy from the game this morning and overlaying them in varying opacities. Weird coincidence.
Glad you respect my non-existent grind though.

Part of me thinks it was intended to be Japanese style bath house with communal pools, but then part of me also thinks some of the prissier nobles like Lorenz would maybe object to having to share bath water with commoners?
And then you've got people like Dimitri, Edelgard, and Lysithea who all have scars they try to hide (pretty sure Lysithea does, can't remember if it's fanon) so would also prefer to not use communal baths, or maybe try to only go at quieter times?
Does it depend on if the world has discovered running water or not? Because constantly refilling individual tubs is going to be a royal pain if it's gotta be done with buckets/someone using magic, compared to simply filling and heating one large pool that people were already clean-ish when they got in
And vaguely related - the sauna. What's the procedure for that? You go have your bath, get dressed in sauna clothes, go get sweaty, and then go have another bath...? Or are they skipping the first bath, and just sauna-ing and then washing?
Answers in the tags, if you feel like it? Please?

I really wish rocket would leave my acnl town. not just bc she's a gorilla (the gorilla models are so unfortunate) or bc she looks like a sex toy, but bc she parked her house right next to mine and I have a specific villager area a bit further away that every other one of my villagers built their house in.
