so how did his heart break so easily when he saw you? you’d just moved in next door to him, wade, and althea’s apartment. “you’re gonna have a rough time when you meet the new kid on the block.” wade had warned him.

he was the one of the three that hadn’t seen you yet. not like althea had much choice. logan didn’t take wade serious, of course. why would he?

then, he saw you. in the hallway of your apartment floor. wearing those grey sunglasses with crimson red lenses and that signature button shirt with the top buttons undone. logan knew what happened to him in wade’s universe. but he wasn’t sure what happened to the others. the x-men. scott.

you look over to him as he’s just staring at you. a distant expression on his face, in his eyes. like he knew you but he didn’t. like he missed you but he never had you. after an awkward moment of silence, you just give him that awkward closed-lip half smile that he knew all too well before entering your apartment and shutting the door behind you.

he just stares at the door for quite some time. without even a word, you’d manage to chip the indestructible.

I made solenear 20 years because 20 years is roughly 1040 weeks which is close to 999 weeks/cycles

This is assuming all RW creatures live WAY longer than normal creatures or just scaled for convinience

Cycle

One cycle is one normal week that consists of 7 days

Each day the rain increases in duration and intensity to the point it takes up the entire day or becomes strong enough to kill

So creatures CAN live through rain and make it to the next day until the rain becomes too strong to ignore and be forced to hibernate

Rain resets each cycle

Iirc your rain counter lights up when you're halfway in a cycle. I imagine this is when the rain starts to hurt

Tremors happen when the next rain will DEFINITELY kill

Death

(In which Arthur Lester writes his final letter. Scroll until below).

"I am going to die. That is for certain.

As I write this I can feel my mind stretched thin and my consciousness fading as fatigue takes me over. I know that when I sleep this night, I may never wake up.

Before my mind is taken and broken apart to dust, I wanted to leave this behind. For anyone that follows me, whether it be friend or foe. I know why you all pursue me, and you will receive what you wish to seek. But, allow me to share my thoughts.

I've been running for nearly 10 years, killing cultists and evading creatures that would drive men mad. It's been a long time since I've slept with peace in mind. So much blood has washed upon my hands that I still feel it under my nails.

Am I the same person anymore? I wonder.

'Was it all worth it?' I often ask myself.

I'm not a good man. Especially before my encounter with The King. An unfit husband. A coward. An alcoholic. A poor father. I am all these things. And perhaps, whatever is waiting for me when I shut my eyes will be deserved. At least I'll find peace in that.

My only regret is leaving you. Alone. I wish I hadn't found that book. I wish I wouldn't have done all this to keep you away from its curse. I wish- I wish. I wish we had more time together. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

This path I've taken is dark and dreary, and it will only end in tragedy. So if you still wish to walk it, so be it.

That damned book has not been in my possession for years. A new friend has helped me hide it somewhere I don't know. Shadowpaw was trembling, his claws digging deep into the damp earth beneath him. His fur stood on end, wired and electric as he witnessed the visions before him.

The sun was ablaze in an ever changing mosaic display. It's beams sharpened like the tips of a claw or shards of glass in the sky. It was pulsating and hot. Lapping like flames. Billowing as if smoke. Waves of heat, distorting the world in its glow.

At any moment it felt like he was going to be burned alive. Scorched into the earth, nothing but the shadow he casted as evidence he was ever witness to such a spectacle. But it never came. What did was the world spinning and then everything turning black.

If he had been more resilient, more accepting of these gifts, perhaps he would have been able to make sense of it in time.

It was easier to think that way and take the blame than accept that sometimes you just don't know the answers. A mercy he would not allow himself as his paws gently grazed the ash blanketed cats lying amongst faintly crackling embers.

I adore the headcanon the cybertronians use stars instead of hearts bc their sparks resemble stars. So I promptly thought of them finding ways to make stars w their servos instead of the heart hands we do. Trocar for demonstration.
