I've done my best to deramble-fy some of the info/lore(?) I have on her. I have quite a bit more but it needs fine tuning, and it also needs to not read like someone writing it whilst going through a pethidin-induced fever dream! So I've done me best.

Also, no, I really don't care if anything I've written here doesn't LiNe Up WiTh TrAnsFoRmErS cAnOn because as far as I can see, it's a big scrambly mess of all different kinds of canons and timelines and continuities, which is great. So I've smushed together a bunch of my favourite stories, lore and character tidbits because uhhh I can do what I want.

I'll start off by saying that this is set pretty far into the future. I dunno how far exactly, but it's certainly not modern day. A decent chunk of humanity has jumped ship from Earth because it's phucked. Y'all can refer back to a thing called The Great Dying! That's basically what's happening, very, very slowly mind you, so slowly that my tiny itty bitty lil smart car doesn't notice that her world is dying at first.

(To put it simply and to give y'all a little bit of context, our small and compact protagonist is on her own. She’s stationed in quite a nice, green, deciduous forest area, and her objective is to basically survey the land and the plant life there, and report back to a 'supervisor' who's probably a human up in spaaaaace. Again, referring back to the Great Dying, things are kinda fucked! But whoever she's reporting back to wants to know what's going on down there. She ain’t human obviously and she’s pretty durable, so she’s trusted to do this work and to constantly report back on what’s happening to the lil foresty area she’s in. Speaking of reporting back, the only contact our rather small and compact protagonist has is through these lil messages she gets from this aforementioned 'supervisor.' She has been told: You are the only Transformer. There is no one else like you. Carry out your duties discreetly. Do not draw attention to yourself. Do not venture outside your assigned position. This is all to ensure your safety. That being said, she believes all of this! She's never met a native Cybertronian transformer before. She is truly convinced that she's one of a kind.)

Damson-42 or “Smarty” as she’s later referred to, is a man made transformer constructed by an off branch of KSI after TLK/AOE (I’m mixing up elements from like,,, every single canon for this. But mainly, I’m taking all the stuff about Bayverse’s manmade transformers, because I really like that idea. It’s a big ol 'mixing bowl! I know there were manmade transformers in G1, but I specifically want there to be a fair bit of hostility towards manmade bots from Cybertron in this continuity.

Trust me, it's a tool we'll use later. 

Damson is very small and very underwhelming for a transformer. She’s not weak by any means though! She’s pretty sturdily built and has a decent bit of weight to her. But she doesn’t appear to have any weaponry, and her alt form is a goddamn electric smart car. She can also charge via the base she works on, so she doesn’t “need energon”.

She actually does but dw about it.

As of right now!! I’m not entirely? Sure how she works? She has to constantly use a fucktonne of things like oil, coolant, regular charging, just to keep herself running, and she can’t get that far because she’s a manmade bot. I’m throwing it out there that although she has a KSI logo on her somewhere, she probably wasn’t made by the exact same people who ran KSI, their goal wasn’t to make weapons out of dead/dying Autobots and Decepticons, they just wanted to give machines life, which they obviously succeeded at. But I guess because she wasn't made in the same way, she’s very clunky and needs a lot of self maintenance as a result. It’s also thanks to this that she knows a bunch about how machinery works and how to maintain it! She frequently repairs her own base, keeps the lights on, keeps herself running, etc etc… This is incredibly invaluable considering what’s about to happen.

All she appears to have on her in terms of special features are two sets of grappling hooks on both her legs and arms. She can shoot those out and get around that way, girly can essentially Attack on Titan ODM gear herself through whatever environment she’s in if she reeeeally wants to. She doesn’t do it that often though because it uses a TON of charge. This is relevant.

AGAIN I’m grabbing little elements from the Bayverse and - fuck it, probably gen1 too, so humans worldwide absolutely know what the fuck transformers are, though I imagine their relations with Cybertronian transformers aren’t the best nowadays (thanks Optimus AND Megatron tbh.)

So! Now that I've tried to set the scene a bit. She carries on patrolling and monitoring her lil area, she’s living life Dolce Vita, she’s got her radio, she's got trees n shit, she’s happy!

Everything is all hunkydory for… X amount of years. She’s got a pretty nice setup with her job, and she's got a weirdly big home base with a weird amount of berths in there, even though she’s the only one working. She doesn’t think about that too much, when she does, she reasons that - oh yeah, sure there were others here with me at one point but they were just… relocated! And then she stops thinking about it because it kinda makes her head hurt.

What really makes her head hurt though is an incident that occurs one night in the summer, when she suddenly wakes up on the forest floor with no recollection of how she got there, and a weird flash of light floods the area for about five seconds, it’s completely silent, at first anyway. She has a moment or two to get her bearings before a fucking behemoth of noise rocks the whole goddamn place. She’s thrown off for a bit, before she realises that reporting on shit like this is literally her job, so she gets her ass in gear and heads towards the smoking mess in the middle of a nearby clearing.

When she gets there, there’s a bunch of shit that she’s never seen before. There’s what looks like a wing? There’s a weird, vaguely familiar purple logo stamped across it and something that looks suspiciously like a rifle-type gun. Which she aaaaabsolutely takes for herself, since, again, no weapons. Aside from that there’s a couple, crumpled up bits of metal, but nothing else save for scorch marks all across the clearing floor. She knows how to attach that gun to herself btw, she’s not great at much but she knows a fair bit about alteration and mending. Plus! Her body just kinda,,, morphs to it. Which is handy! That's never happened before...

From that day forward, Damson fucking knows that there’s someone, or something in that forest with her, and they’re probably not too happy with the fact that she’s taken their gun. 

Despite her reporting everything back to her superiors, she gets no reply. Somehow or another, her communication with them has been cut, so she’s well and truly on her own. All the while, the forest around her slowly changes from a safe haven to a damn nightmare. Night after night she finds enormous footprints, sees a flash of angry, glowing red between branches and leaves, hears an alien whirring, a roaring of an engine, but she can never fully see her assailant, if she can even call them that.

Eventually she gets sick to the back teeth of playing this weird, botched game of hide and seek with them and decides to take action. 

Realising that her visitor is drawn to the floodlights installed on the top of her home base for whatever reason, she waits until nightfall, cranks them up to full beam, and it doesn’t take long for her unwelcome guest to reveal themselves.

My wife's dentist has informed us that it will take at least another 8-16 months before they can start considering a solution to replace the teeth she's already lost plus the ones they're going to extract and the dental surgery needed for the ones they can't pull. We've been struggling a lot with making ends meet in the last 3 months after having to repeatedly restructure our meal planning around what little my wife can eat, pain management after a dry socket complication in the last extractions, and our medications.

Our already strained budget is being stretched so thin that we constantly have to skip meals despite already only having dinner most days, leaving us almost no energy to do household tasks, practice self-care, or prevent our already deteriorating mental health from worsening. Unfortunately, we're still a long way away from the finish line for her, and my own deteriorating physical health is making it harder for me to support her while also trying to get a diagnosis and treatment for my issues.

Thank you so much to everyone who donated to the other post thus far. We really appreciate the help we've gotten, and it's gone a long way to help with the stress of our current situation. We really hate having to do this and having to rely so much on the kindness of others, but we really don't have any other options left
